You know what the point the brick-and-mortar stores is? They allow consumers to browse products in-person, provide instant gratification to shoppers and enable companies to build relationships with customers through in-person contact. JB Hi-Fi manages to pay top-dollar for a store in the CBD and completely fail to achieve any of these points. Every time I enter this store, there is zero qualified personnel on the floor to help me, half of the items that were supposed to be in stock aren't there and I can be 100% certain I am getting harassed at the door. I will never enter this store again because even though I am just in store for 5 minutes browsing some items and professionally dressed, I have to empty all my bags every time I am leaving this place because the only staff member on the floor is some rude pseudo-security guy on a power trip. Treating every customer like they are a criminal is definitely a great way to ruin your brand reputation forever. I am now only buying electronics from A*****n online since they have better customer service and cheaper prices.

Waiting for JB Hi Fi to do the right thing and not waste my time by forcing me, an individual with the right to live, to return to their store repeatedly in order for them to figure out how to allow me to get a refund on a computer product I have asked them to return, while I have been more than reasonable, and perhaps too kind, in allowing them to take their time to sort things for me...only to find they weren't doing anything to actually resolve the situation the way they should have...be proactive and think with reasonable care. Real morally good customer care needs to be greatly improved. Don't waste time, don't steal life. Stay human and be humane, with empathy...unlike you few doing the wrong thing, the rest of us have the right to live our lives unhindered by any nonsense. I have a right to an authentic good life, free from those who don't care. Be humane. For those doing the right thing, thank you, be safe too.

Disappointed! All other stores have a great price match policy except this one. The website is clear about the criteria, however this store doesn't respect that. I asked the store to price match a gaming mouse however I was badly turned down. They claimed gaming equipment can't be price matched. That's untrue because I have had great past experiences with similar products esp at Carindale JB. I wanted a gaming mouse which is around $170 literally everywhere (physical stores as well) but somehow JB is selling expensive, around $270. That's a $100 more. Even Umart sells at $190. As per the policy I should have been accomodated. They just lost a customer.

After a horrendous experience at the Kedron store, I was so pleased to be looked after by Jade and her colleagues at the Albert St store. They were friendly, helpful and assisted me with my faulty item really quickly, and didn't make me feel like a liar or like I was inconveniencing them with my request. Even just overhearing them dealing with other customers, the team seem genuinely happy in their jobs and treat every customer with courtesy, respect and are welcoming. Would highly recommend going to them for your next JB Hi Fi purchase. Thank you for taking such good care of me

This particular location is huge, with massive variety and great staff. The stationing of staff around the shop makes it easy to find help regardless of where you are. The shop carries stock standard to most others, however contains probably the largest collection of high quality music, movies and televisions shows I've seen in a mainstream franchise. The only cons of this location would be the several sets of steps within which may make navigation tricky for those in wheelchairs or with disabilities. The location of the register at the back of the store is also an acquired taste.

We had to Visit this store today to claim a warranty on a headset we bought from them. We were welcomed with a big smile and request to assist us as we stepped in the store by Warren I believe he’s the manager, his body language was super genuine and every step of the process was very flow and very professional. We felt special and very welcomed despite that we are there for warranty not to purchase. Warren is the kind of person that give you every reason to come back and purchase from his store. Thank you JB hi-fi Albert Street and special thanks to Warren

The store itself is great. Expansive range, relatively affordable prices and great location. What lets them down is staff. There were many, many staff members, but almost all were talking to each other or otherwise uninterested in helping customers. 4 staff members crowded around talking in phones, 2 staff members in accessories talking about a party. Best yet, the cash desk staff talking to each other about political issues WHILE serving me. This is grossly unprofessional across the store, and gives an otherwise great store a bad name.

I just now, witnessed a young high school child, be belittled at the counter with other people in line behind him and myself at a counter next to him. Consumer law quite clearly states an item doesnt need to be returned in its original packaging. Both the server and management at this store refused a refund as it couldn't be resold. When i confronted both of them with the legalities and the disgusting way a CHILD was just treated, i was told to escalate the issue. These 2 staff members were rude and require ALOT more training.

WORST SERVICE EVER. If only I can give 0 stars... The lady manager with a short hair and one of the guy we ask to assist us with the electric scooter is very rude. They are not helping us customer at all about our enquiry and will make you feel like dumb and made us feel that should not ask questions to them. It's so disappointing and shocking how bad they deliver their service. Me and my friends just decided to purchase electric scooter to the other JB-Hifi branch instead because of them. NOT REALLY RECOMMENDING THIS BRANCH

Will not go to that store again. Customer service is very bad. Instead of helping 3 people are yelling at the same time. I felt like a criminal over there. Not worth spending our hard working money to pay these kind of people. No manner and so unhelpful.Giving them one star as what I went to buy, due to their bad behaviour I decided to back off and when to office works got that product $50 less. So instead of paying 249 with the bad customer service paid 199 with awesome customer service and welcoming staff at office works.

The after sales customer service i just received from this Company and this store in particular is unbelievable. For a large company it is almost unheard of. I returned a faulty Laptop that was not working properly, they not only exchanged it immediately, they also returned the money i had spent with my IT company installing software on the computer. First Class service and the price was very competitive as well. Highly recommend this Company. I have bought multiple products from here and will continue to do so. Well done.

As I walked in and asked for some help finding a Nintendo karaoke game, I disturbed two sales guys that were having an "important chat"... I was only given a brief direction of where to find the item. Tom or Tony didn't even bother walking me to the location of the item. I couldn't find what I was after and kept looking in their direction to see if one of them would dare help but both decided to ignore me. When asked again where the item was they said they had already told me. I left the store and went to buy elsewhere

I'm visiting from interstate tonight and I found this store by chance. The service I received from the two male employees (didn't get their names) acknowledged my presence, came over to me, and escorted me to the correct product that I needed, and even convinced me that it was the correct compatible product for my device. The reviews don't lie. If you're lost and don't know where to go, this is definitely the go-to shop for your urgent tech needs if you're new or visiting Brisbane CBD. Thanks again guys!

  • Jay Rajpal

Even the staff doesn't know the policy. They simply sell the stuff and then let you deal with companies like telstra. I was sold phone plan with international calling but telstra denied any offer. I can't make calls now. I paid $150 for calls I made and later came to know that international calling was not included in my plan which I bought from Jb hifi. Liars and manipulators to make a sale. They will ignore you and ask you to deal on your own once you are sold. Pathetic. Even the manager is involved

I placed an online order last week, and it should be delivered by last Friday but I didn't receive it. So I called and was told there was no stock left. I cancelled the order and wait for my refund. It has been 4 business days and I haven't received it yet. I called again, they insisted there is no invoice for refund to offer to customer. I am so angry because it it not my problem and it is a birthday gift, and I need the money to purchase in other store. It's a really bad experience with JB-hifi .

  • Chris James

Took an unwanted present in for a refund ($350+ worth) and was told I could get one, then the manager came by and tore the box and bent it all up and said no we can’t without any explanation and walked off. Didn’t put the items back in the box and just gave it back to us. Absolutely rude and disgusting behaviour, despite another member saying we could get a refund aswell. Will take my business to more caring companies that care about their customers and not money.

  • Robert Huang

Really prompt service by a staff who offered to help me find the products I wanted. Whereas the staff at the counter made everyone wait while doing unimportant things, such as fiddling with some papers and there were even three of them! One cashier was occupied and got into some trouble so it was understandable. While it took the other two staffs A WHILE to realise that they need to help with that by opening one more cashier. Really weird way how they work.

  • Patrick Cunningham

Very poor service. Very rude staff. Was returning a gift that was not 100% which I had purchased as a gift at Christmas. The staff member proceeded to tell me that as the packaging had no damage on it the product could not be damaged. Not sure why she thought she could justify the damage in this way. Would think twice about shopping in this particular store again due to the customer service. Went to the Queen Street store and the experience was excellent.

  • darell solmerano

I got served by a guy name Tom, he was very wonderful and very detailed when he was talking me through with the laptop. He mentioned about the specs and I was torn between these two laptops but he explained the pros and cons of both of the laptop. And that helped me decide which to get. He’s very passionate at what he does and he’s very friendly too! Exceptional customer service highly recommend this jb Hifi place. I felt welcomed, super satisfied!

  • Srikanth Nair

Don't often visit this store but today (16/12/20), I needed to get a secret Santa gift under $10 and one young lady in particular was super helpful and took the time to have a chat with me to narrow down my purchase (a Jaws mug of you must know ). Because of her friendly attitude, also ended up making another unrelated purchase. Excellent customer service is the key to bringing in & retaining customers.

  • Paul Sauvain

Worst JB-Hifi in town. People who work there just don't care about you. The store is very badly organized ! The worst part, they just don't consider you from the start ! Their street ad is just full of lies: "always cheapest prices" and when you prove them that you can find cheaper somewhere else (Harvey Norman for example) they will just give any reason not to price match ! Not recommended at all !

  • Michael GILLIES

Only spent a little while trying to get the attention of an employee not involved in a conversation with their colleagues. Tried to buy a phone on display but none available (discontinued). So why have them on display? Was then "advised" of the deal they could do if I changed my phone plan to them. Ended up buying the phone elsewhere (not JbHiFi) for a few dollars less.

  • Mike

Purchased a phone here, the sales person didn't have enough knowledge to understand that the phone was a dual sim when asked about this. She was not very friendly when I politely refused her attempt to sell extra insurance or swap over providers. Maybe extra product and sales training could help the staff deliver a better customer experience.

  • Titan Killer Reviews

Staff are heavy handed when dealing with almost everything. Paid 29.95 for a brand new Blu ray that some peanut ran a knife through when opening the box they came in. They obviously have absolutely no training in stock handling. Double check anything purchased for damage before taking it home. Especially if in lockdown as it's disheartening.

  • AIRBIRDY !

Bought an iPhone on plan for my wife to give it to her on birthday. Porting form amay sim to Telstra was a real hurdle. They told me it would take merely 10 minutes. But it took two days for that. My wife’s birthday was long gone. Their info was a bit misleading. Otherwise, staff is helpful. It’s a nice place to spend money . …

  • Garth Turton

The staff here at this store really love what they do and are genuinely dedicated to looking after the customer and doing the best deal they can. My recent laptop purchase proved to be an awesome deal and really appreciative for the informative and enthusiastic staff member who looked after me from start to end. Extremely pleased.

  • Michelle Treasa

Absolutely stunning staff. It was 1 minute to closing time, I called looking for a pair of headphones. The staff,Mr. Terrence I believe, was kind enough to pick up the item a d have it ready for me to pick up. So thrilled and happy to see that customer service ethics are still valued and intact at JB Hi-fi Albert Street. #respect

  • Nukky Dufanto

JB Hi-Fi Brisbane is a great place to buy electronics and appliances. They have a wide selection of products to choose from, and their prices are very competitive. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend JB Hi-Fi Brisbane to anyone looking for a good deal on electronics.

  • Gabriel Palacios

Whilst the store is fairly spacious, and JB HI-FI is great for its year-round sales, the customer service really lets it down. Most of the employees here will either try to ignore you or just be flat out rude. The store in MacArthur Central just down the street is way better, so steer clear fellow buyers!

  • Rebecca Pattemore

Went in store today to purchase 2 x Garmin watches totally over $1000. Staff member told us we couldn’t try them on to see if they were the models of watch we were happy with. They let us walk away without spending a cent. That’ll be the last time we use JB for any purchase. Shame on you JB-Hi Fi

  • James Peterson

Staff as nice as a wet cake. Went here to buy a headset but unwilling to price match other retailers with much lower price. Was informed that its already on sale and the sale price is the best price. Ended up going to Officeworks and they beat the cheaper retailer price by 5%. JB's a Joke!

  • Ethan

Not only is JB HiFi the place to go for good deals, but the staff are very knowledgeable on a range of items. I have picked up two laptops from them recently, and our school has gone with a number of IPads as JB Hi can add some Educational program to the IPad. And no I don’t work for them.

  • sarah briant

The store layout has gotten worse if I could give 0 stars I would whoever thought it was a great idea to have the checkouts at the back of the store needs the sack and this store is a fire hazard because there's way to much stock in the way you can't move stop putting displays in walkways.

  • Jamie Ang

Shout-out to Terence from the cash register. He had to do payments + take phone calls + customer service as my product was faulty. It's all happening at the same time so I can imagine the stress but he's doing such a great job maintaining it so cooly. He def needs to be paid more!

  • Gabriela Mazzaro Meira

Worst customer service I ever had in Australia. Their staff are super rude, xenophobic and unprepared. The sales guy was really arrogant and when I asked the cashier I wanted the tax invoice for the iPhone I was buying he rolled eyes and said he was clocking off...

  • 向你祖母問好

Worst shopping experience ever even after QLD dropped check in requirement they still want you to check in and wear a mask I had less restrictions visiting a clinic if it wasn't raining I wouldn't have brought this overpriced laptop bag there. Just buy elsewhere !

  • Rutger

Amazing customer service! I had many questions and didn't exactly know what I wanted and they helped me all the way. Eventually a bought the wrong phone through a fault of my own but because I came back immediately they were willing to switch it for another phone.

  • jacob mcdonald

Waited and waited after someone told me they would send a salesperson my way. While I was waiting I saw multiple staff members having a casual chat with each other. The experience was saved by a young bloke who asked me if I needed help as I was going to leave.

  • dase draws

love this place. all the staff i spoke to were very accommodating and helpful, especially Hayden! i needed a new laptop to replace my tired old one and he went above and beyond to help me out with that. thank you for everything, Hayden! you're rad

  • yamin shah

Easily accessible Electronics store in city, walking distance from bus stop. Don't deal in white goods, Guitar and related items available. No rest room. Helpful and friendly staff. If you need a hand let them know they will not disappoint you.

  • John Cherian

Easy research on the net. Placed the order online. They called to confirm identity and order to minimize fraud. Organized delivery with minimal fuss 2hr time window. Polite crew delivered good. Good overall user experience! Verdict: Recommended

  • Cameron

Went in to check out a new Dell Laptop and not only did they match the online price which was 30% off, they then went and got me an even better deal than that. Marty was an absolute pleasure to deal with and looked after my order with a lot

  • E Jo

Every time I come here, the staff at the entrance check my bag and look at me with suspicion. I hardly buy stuffs here just because they have a very poor selection of stock. However, they always regard me as shoplifter. Why? Is that because

  • Gayan Kulatilleke

Busy place in the city. Some unusual sales practices though. Apprently you can't buy a 5G phone from them unless you also buy a phone contact! Prices shown on the items are not correct and staff needs to look up the recent prices ( was told

  • Vivian Lo

I wasn't even sure if you guys have a KPI thing to achieve or not, but when someone don't want to make any more additional purchase, just let them. It is so annoying. I went in to get an iPad Air because it's on offer. The sales assistant

  • Bruno Goodma

OMG I love this store, could spend hours walking around checking eletronics specs. Short lines for payments, look out for sales, I paid $250 in a modem that regular price was about $550. But regular price usually is slightly above avg.

  • Roger Lewis

I usually go to Indooroopilly, but they were out of stock so I drove all the way into the city to buy one. The City JB HIFI really need to send their staff to Indooroopilly for training. They have no idea what they are talking about

  • ukapu

had the most lovely experience with one of your staff today! they were super helpful and fun while helping me pick out some new headphones :) sorry for buying the same pair as before in the end but it was an absolute pleasure!

  • Ben Raistrick

Upon entry the security guard was very rude. When I asked how his day was he told me to f off. I did buy a very good value mouse mat, it's just a shame the security guard had a bee in his bonnet about having to work that day.

  • Hamidreza Rafizadeh

Just visited there today (31/10/2022) and faced the most rude staff. They even investigated my backpack when I wanted to exit the store! unbelievably disrespectful and disgusting! I will never ever again step on JB HI-FI.

  • sally vidan

Great store and friendly staff. I needed a computer and didn't know what I needed and the sales person asked some questions to point me in the right direction and he didn't try and sell me the most expensive computer.

  • Kyle Stanworth (Kairu)

Has a decent range of smash controllers, just beware the official GameCube controllers need the adapter which is sold out until possibly march next year, pdp and hori controllers are fine without it.

  • Emily Lahy

The bloke named Tom that works here is absolutely amazing, with process taking longer then anticipated, he continued to wait patiently the whole way through. The manager is also pretty cool guy ha.

  • Shelly Shelly

Love this place!!! Heaps of Dvd and bluRay’s in stock. Vinyl and cds there are also a pretty good selection. Could spend a good hour or so in-store. Service is prompt and staff are knowledgeable.

  • Spaceman Leo

A great store but the checkout system seems very slow and cumbersome for the small amount of staff on for christmas the wait in the Q was very frustrating I nearly walked out and went elsewhere.

  • My-Arty-Vibe

Good service. Good advice with what I was looking for. When there was a mischievous person walking around they remained calm and dealt with it without alarming customer which is good.

  • B P

Nice store. overall atmosphere was great. staff were very friendly, helpful and insightful. downside would be the stairs. it is not wheelchair accessible, otherwise an amazing store.

  • Jeffer Saenz (Tink3r3r)

The staff is always super good with the knowledge of their products, and I saw that the manager bought them coffee which makes it a great place where my wallet goes to get slimmer.

  • Kendall Watts

A massive thank you to Trent from the music department, his customer service is 10/10 and he was so diligent in helping me find a vinyl I’ve been chasing- thank you again!

  • Laurie O (Epic Wink)

Great service, excellent range, knowledgeable staff. JB HiFi tends to be good for tech anyway, but this location stands out. I've had nothing but good experiences here

  • Thomas

1 star due to change of business hours, you're now closing too early. You have 3 stores in the city. One of you can be open until at least 7 pm or 8pm on a weeknight.

  • Mark

Very small store and it can be a bit confusing but the staff is awesome! Customer service helped me a lot in choosing the right power bank for my travels.

  • Phuong Tran

Bought bargain headphones and wanted to try the display Sony MX5 one but it is broken/faulty so I can't try it. What a shame not to be replaced!!

  • Nikhil Mahajan

One stop shop for all electronics item. Check for offers online before visiting the store. If you register you may get a gift voucher as well!

  • Eugene Yap

Limited Nintendo Switch Games & they don't sell phone pins for MicroSD Card slot too. Managed to get a MicroSD Card Reader atleast.

  • colster stuart

No staff when we entered. Had to find someone to unlock what we wanted. Staff were educated on our needs when actually served.

Really good customer service, really appreciated them getting me a chair when I hurt my back and was there for my laptop :,)

  • Leh Loo

Ciaran (hope I got the spelling right) provided excellent, kind, and knowledgeable service to me. Super thankful :)
