unfortunately very disappointed to write negative comments as an Indian native living in Germany for the last 36 years. My experience with the embassy has been horrible and I actually wanted to go to even Foreign Ministry in India --> my (German) passport unfortunately sent to the embassy for a visa 20 years back with ordinary post never reached the embassy and was captured by customs at Frankfurt airport with an illegal person. I disputed that with the embassy --> the OCI experience was rather better with one competent person but most of the others were not listeners and customer oriented. Doing the job as if they the Bosses of the applicants :-( --> last time three years back we (my wife and I) applied new OCIs because of new passport (which was actually not required). They asked for cash payment without receipt. The money taken was exuberant. They said that the receipt will be sent separately which was never received. I've plenty of correspondence --> I received my OCI immediately but my wife didn't. get. NOBODY responded for several weeks from the consulate. After applying pressure from Foreign Ministry in India. We immediately got response and OCI --> I have sent an email to the Embassy on their contact address without any response but will wait before I'll again contact a higher level. It is so pity and typical Indian method

Visited the embassy today The weird thing was they didn't allow phones inside saying security issues when actually people come with different requirements and they use phones for almost all purposes The officer inside gave a document to take a picture for some checklist one person without knowing that security already taken the phone away :p One person needs to do a video conference with a judge in India in the presence of a consulate employee. he didn't get to take the phone inside, not sure how he managed :/ Also, the security at the entrance seems very rude and makes fun of people who ask some questions. the officer inside was very helpful he was patient and tried to clarify all doubts people had Went a second time. This time afternoon and security seems changed and had a better experience.they allowed me to take the phone inside, also handled professionally.with in few minutes received new passport and completed procedure

Die Mitarbeiter sind extreme unfreundlich gegenüber eigenen Mitbürgern. Telefonische Kommunikation ist extreme misserabel. Mitarbeiter lassen Klienten nicht ausreden und unterbrechen die Kommunikation. Die mitarbeiter geben keinen zufriedenen stellende Antworten. Sie nehmen keinen Zeit für die Klienten/ Bürgern zum erklären fals sie nicht verstanden haben. Das ist meine eigenen Erfahrung der Consular bereich. I hoffe sie ändern ihre Einstellung und auftreten gegenüber andere Menschen. Alle Menschen sollen respektiert werden. Bei Missverständnisse ebenfalls klären. Dieses ist einfach bei manchen Mitarbeitern in Botschaft zu viel verlangt.

I had lost my Passport from Belgium and as I am a student in Berlin, I had to re-apply for a new passport and the procedures for it were easily described to me from the representatives in there. I would like to specially thank Ms. Savita as she helped me to understand the procedures required as well as how long it will take for me to receive it. She was really helpful and I did receive the Passport before the estimated time. Thanks to Ms. Savita as well as to the Indian Embassy in Berlin as I am pretty sure that everyone in the embassy have helped me in one way or the other to receive it at the earliest. Thank you so much.

Disappointed with the way we were treated by the lady at the embassy. Extremely rude. The same information could have been shared in a more polite and kind manner. 1. There is no organised way of dealing with the people that have come in. Randomly stand and wait until someone acknowledges your presence and calls you to their desk. 2. We followed instructions provided on the website but seems like that’s incomplete and more copies/ information was required. 3. Nasty comments when we asked for more information which was unnecessary. The people working at the Embassy of India could be more kind to the people of India.

Extremely pleased with some of the staff working there as they are really helpful, Mr Shiv Kumar and the guy who deals with OCI. However, as the saying goes one bad fish makes the entire pond dirty. The lady that works for surrender certificate is extremely rude and not compassionate. I thought her rude behavior is only towards me as I bleong to minority but I noticed that everytime I visited the consular office, the lady is in argument with every other applicant. This really needs to be addressed by the authorities. She has no compassion, and a very poor listener and takes no responsibility to help.

Ich kann mich nicht zur fachlichen Arbeit der Botschaft äußern, da ich damit bisher keinen Kontakt hatte. Ich kann mich allerdings zu der Botschaft als Gebäude äußern. Und das beginnt mit der Feststellung, dass ich diese Botschaft architektonisch für sehr gelungen halte. Es gelingt dem Gebäude innen und außen, ein Stück Indien nach Berlin zu bringen. So besteht die Außenfassade beispielsweise aus rötlichen Steinen, die aus Indien importiert wurden. Auch die Trennelemente im Inneren, die jalis, können ihre Herkunft nicht verleugnen.

In website they have mentioned come 2-3 days after transferring the fees online, but in the office they say you have to wait around 4-5 days till the bank gives confirmation to them by POST that they have received the payment. Also what they have not mentioned online is that they accept fees by Cash which would be faster. Moreover they did a fovour to me by making copies of my passport and visa because online they mentioned to bring orignals and no copies mentioned anywhere.

Please carry cash has they dnt accept card and it’s open from 9:30 am to 5 pm And morning only documents submission and around 4 they give document on same day once they are entered in the system. But if you have give the document on Monday and you will get it in the evening before 4 to 5 pm the. It will be closed or next morning u can take it. And please check the holiday dates in the Indian embassy website so you dnt waste your time.before going thief

Ich hab im Dezember Antrag für meine OCI Card gestellt.inner halb von 3 Monaten hab ich mehere email geschrieben, heute kam eine Antwort dass Farmular war falsch, ich soll einen neuen Antrag stellen. Dann hab ich Botschaft angerufen unter der Nummer 030257950 . Wo ich einen mit Arbeiter sprechen könnte seine Antwort war nur alle alte Anträge sind ungültig du muss Botschaft kommen und hat aufgelegt.

Habe tagelang bei der Botschaft angerufen, aber keiner ging ran. Heute ist endlich jemand ans Telefon gegangen. Sehr unfreundlich, genervt und überhaupt nicht hilfreich. Hört einem nicht zu und legt einfach auf. Auf meine E-Mails habe ich auch keine Antwort erhalten. Die Webseite beinhaltet falsche oder veraltete Informationen. Schade, dann werde ich nicht in dieses schöne Land reisen.

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung, damit sich was verändert. Ich liebe Menschen an sich, aber solch ein extrem erschwerter Service darf nicht sein. Ich konnte einmal von 10 oder 15 Versuchen jemanden telefonisch erreichen und auf meine 3 oder 4 Mails wurde mir niemals eine beantwortet. Vor Ort hinzugehen ist leider bisher oft die einzige Chance weiterzukommen… Bitte verändert das!

Ursprünglich nur 1 Stern, da es aber inzwischen doch noch mit der Kontaktaufnahme geklappt hat, erhöhe ich auf 3 Sterne. Trotzdem ist es mehr als mühselig, wenn man telefonisch niemanden erreichen kann. Gerade auch, wenn man nicht in Berlin wohnt, wäre es problematisch, auf gut Glück einen Besuch der Botschaft einzuplanen, um sein Anliegen zu klären!

Ich habe keinen Service der Botschaft in Anspruch genommen, daher kann ich den Kommentatoren, die einen Stern gegeben haben, weder widersprechen, noch zustimmen. Als Besucher wurde ich ganz freundlich empfangen und durch das Gelände geführt mit anschließendem Leckerbissen am Ende. Im großen und ganzen: Danke an die Mitarbeiter der Botschaft!

Total unfreundlich es gibt weder ein "Hallo" noch ein "Tschüss", niemand weiß was der andere macht, keiner kann einem weiterhelfen. Die Leute die angeblich Englisch sprechen, können keine 2 Sätze auf Englisch sprechen. Ein trauriger Gedanke, dass diese Leute für ihre Unfähigkeit und Unfreundlichkeit auch noch Geld verdienen.

We applied for OCI for our two children. The overall communication during the process was superb, with clear and timely answers to questions. Ms Savitha Patil at the embassy was very helpful, super efficient and friendly. Such a positive experience overall and symbolic of a rising India ! Thank you!

Opening timings are worst! Google says something else, and the embassy is never open! They run on their own timings. There is no proper information on the website on when the Embassy is closed. There are a lot of indian festivals so they need to be specific on which holidays they are closed.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. I must really thank each and everyone there, they have really been kind and helpful and have given correct information. They are very polite,to be honest the homepage is very much updated with new information. One just has to read everything carefully.

Unfreundliche Personal . Indische Bordschaft und die wollen nicht indische Sprache sprechen . Deutsch Können DEI nicht . Und wollen nur englisch sprechen . Also verstehe ich nicht Indische Bordschaft in Deutschland also indisch oder deutsch was wollen die mit Englisch .

Extremely terrible experience. The lady at the counter was very rude. She could have been a bit polite and kind to us, fellow indians who were in need of some service from the embassy. Also throwing nasty comments for questions were not the right way of helping.

I got my passport renewed here and the process was direct and really smooth, had no problems at all. I got mine in 5 weeks and I'm really glad that they gave it in such a short time. The man at the counter was a little rude but otherwise it went well.

They host a series of Indian cultural events. Have been to a dance performance and a movie screening here. The movie screenings are definitely worth attending. You will have to carry your passport to get entry for the events.

Fortunately, I had a quite nice experience with the re-issuance of my passport. Warm reception, well supported and on time processing, in fact much ahead of the stipulated timeline. I’m glad, this was smooth.

Leider muss ich mich den anderen Rezensionen anschließen, nachdem man mit viel Glück und Geduld mal durch die Telefonleitung kommt wird man höchst unfreundlich und respektlos behandelt.

Beware opening hours has changed. Online its still 9.00 am but when you reach there you have to stay out side emabassy on the road. Because they are allowing to enter after 9.30 am.

Ich habe viel schlechtes gehört über Berlin Botschaft .aber ich habe in drei Wochen meine reisepass Verlängerung bekommen also ich finde super toll Danke schön an Botschaft

Ich habe zeit April 2017 passport Antrag gehmacht indische Botschaft Berlin noch nicht fertig. Immer gehen fragen oder telefonieren nicht richtig Antwort geben

Telefonisch sowie per E-mail nicht ereichbar. Sehr lange Wartezeiten für beantragte Papiere. Alles unmöglich. Sie haben keine Sterne verdient!!!
