If you enquire about the cost of standard service based on all pertinent information such as the car make, model and millage and are given a price range for that service, book in for that service based on the quote provided and then get charged an amount significantly more, you have to question why? The amount charged was also significantly more that the fixed price quote for the same service at a dealer. Then to top it all off, they didn't even fill out the log book. Even though it was left out on the seat as they specifically requested. Something is not right here with the business practices, pricing and level of service you receive! Would not recommend!!! Apparently the owner would like customers to re-negotiate the quote made at the time of securing the booking, when you have the car dropped off for the agreed service. Right? The service was a time based service, as recommended by the manufacturer. The log book records are based on either millage or time (months from when the vehicle was delivered), whichever is appropriate. No details were recorded in the log book by your company to accurately reflect the service that was performed. I have never had this problem when getting my cars serviced by a dealer. They seem to know how to fill out log books correctly and accurately.

If you're looking for a qualified professional and family friendly automotive mechanic i couldn't recommend more highly Highbury Automotive. I've been going going to see Joe and the team there for years even though I live a 40 minute drive away im happy to go all that way to take my cars to the team. The team are super friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I bring both my classic cars and my daily driver to the team to look after, i wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else. There is never any hidden costs, if more work needs to go into the car then what was originally quoted I always get a phone call asking if I'm happy to go ahead with it, I've never been sprung with a massive bill after a service. I just picked up the F100 from them today and they had it purring like a kitten. If you don't understand your vehicle's ins and outs the team take the time to explain what the mechanics are and how they work, what could have caused the problem. Thanks for all your hard work I can't wait for the big F100 upgrades later this.

I cannot recommend the team at Highbury Auto enough. They are honest, reliable & really know their stuff. I recently took one of my cars to them to diagnose a problem, as I have done many times before. They not only diagnosed the issue, but fixed it promptly & I had my car back the same day. Their pricing is very fair & I would much prefer to take my cars to them than back to the dealer for servicing as I find them much more trustworthy, knowledgeable & can carry out my log book servicing without voiding my new car warranty. Always a pleasure dealing with all the guys & girls at Highbury Auto Service & Repairs a great local, family run business.

The new workshop is a great addition to the business and much needed, its modern, clean and about 4 times the size of the old place. They are very honest with the work they carry out and if something doesn't need fixing until next service they will let you know, this is how they keep customers coming back. The new premises is situated with a few other mechanics around but I dont think they have any competion to be quite honest. Their prices are very reasonable aswell

Super happy with the service from the team at Highbury Auto - Squeezed me in at short notice when I needed them and provided top notch service! I always worry I'm going to be ripped off as a female but not with these guys. They explained to me what was going on with my car in a way I could understand, they didn't speak down to me and they also didn't make me feel silly. Easy peasy! Will definitely come back in the future!

Time and time again the boys are always flat out trying to get on top of the massive work load of customers cars and even think nope I’m going to have to wait next week for my car to get tuned or new parts put on the seem to fit me in. Both my brother and I trust our work that needs doing to Highbury and service is second to none and never fault with repairs, we have required their service for 4 years now. I'm 57 and love to complain about bad service but don't get the chance with these guys!!

Edited: This workshop does good in their job. Very friendly staff and labour rate is reasonable for the service they provide. This workshop is not the cheapest in the area but they do their job well. You get what you pay for.

I've been having our cars cared for by the Joe Josie and their sons Steve and Paul for 19 years and I wouldn't have anyone else doing it. One is a Troopy which we rely on to keep us safe in the outback. Cheers Winston
