I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at "Grandma's Bakery" bakery. I had heard great things about their baked goods and decided to inquire about getting a cake made for my wedding. However, the encounter left me shocked and deeply hurt. When I approached the counter to discuss my wedding cake plans, I was met with a cold and judgmental attitude from the baker. She informed me that she has a policy of only baking cakes for "traditional" weddings, insinuating that she would not serve me due to my "orientation"?. I couldn't believe what I was hearing – blatant discrimination in this day and age is simply unacceptable. While she is entitled to her beliefs, it is incredibly disheartening to see a business owner openly refuse service to customers based on their personal values. I left the bakery feeling humiliated and hurt, with a sense of disbelief that such attitudes still exists. In a time when inclusivity and acceptance are being championed, it's disappointing to see a bakery that should be spreading joy and sweetness contributing to division and discrimination. I strongly encourage the owners of "Grandma's Bakery" to reevaluate their policies and remember that their primary purpose should be creating an environment that welcomes all customers, regardless of their background, beliefs, or sexual orientation. Found this little gem of a bakery on line while looking for a graduation cake for my daughter. I visited several other places before going to Grandma’s Bakery. Not only were they the most reasonably priced bakery around their ratings were great! I showed a picture of what I wanted. She made notes and we came up with a plan. Guests raved at the talent that was done on the cake and flavor was carrot! It was delicious!! That was May 2022 Fast forward to October 2022. My daughter’s birthday along with my nephew and sister in law. They wanted a German Chocolate cake and OH MY GOODNESS! It was the BEST I’ve ever had! Super moist and every one loved it! I had a separate cake done for my daughter for her 30th birthday. It was beyond my wishes! It was PERFECT! My daughter loved it! It was chocolate and again super moist and SO good!! I’ve included pictures to show but they don’t do justice to her work! She’s so talented!! The pictures below are in order of events. I highly recommend this gem of a bakery! Not only are the cakes wonderful but the couple that own and run the bakery are super sweet! I’ll go in sometimes to get a slice of cake and say hello! This is where I’ll be getting all of our cakes from now on!

I went to Grandma’s bakery because it had good reviews and it was close too! I needed a large cake for my parents 70th Wedding Anniversary luncheon. When I walked in I was warmly greeted & offered a sample of each flavor of cake & a coffee. I decided on a large double layered sheet cake for 54, with lots of pink decor/roses. Thursday, 2 days before I was to pick up the cake my mother was put in the emergency room! I called them immediately & told them the entire event might be cancelled. The cake was made but she offered to keep it in her freezer until we knew more & could pick it up. Luckily, my mother was released the next day with a doctors thumbs up & we went forward with our luncheon, they were so helpful & understanding. The cake was beautiful & it tasted fabulous, one vanilla layer with a lemon layer & butter cream frosting!! Yum!! Thank you so much!

The entire experience was top notch. The owners are very nice people and most importantly the cake was delicious and exceeded my expectations for the occasion. Although, my order was more or less kind of last minute, they were kindly able to accommodate my request and create a Beautiful cake for my GF's Birthday. Stopped by to pick up the cake and had a very pleasant interaction/conversation with both of the owners. I will most definitely be returning as a customer. Out of curiosity I also picked up a slice of their cheesecake on the way out and let me tell YOU, Wow! One of the best, most velvety soft, delicious slices of Cheesecake I've ever had outside of NYC. So, please do yourself the favor and stop by if you're in the neighborhood, your taste Buds will thank you later for it.

We ordered a cake for my grandsons 3 rd birthday and it was spectacular!! All of the decorations and pieces were all hand crafted to make my grandson’s bug cake so beautiful. The cake itself was moist and the chocolate buttercream frosting was heavenly. We were especially impressed with the fact that we ordered it to be ready during the storm and everyone lost power but “Grandma” worked through and made all of the individual hand made beetles, spiders, ladybugs, leaves, rocks and all of the other pieces and made us a beautiful cake that we will remember for years to come. I love supporting ANY small business especially when you get great quality , wonderful customer service, and affordability. I’ve purchased two cakes so far from this shop , one for my two year old sons birthday and another for my mom’s 50th birthday. They were both beautiful and tasted great . The woman of this shop is older but she is the sweetest , I’m definitely going to use this place for my gender reveal cake .. I asked grandmas bakery to make a cake for my brothers 21st birthday and added inspiration photos of how i wanted the cake to look like. She matched the design perfectly and the taste was even better. Everyone at the birthday party was talking about how gorgeous the cake looked and how it tasted even better. Grandma’s bakery made my son’s cake for his second birthday. I cannot say how happy I am with everything! They were super easy to work with & made the cake exactly how I asked! And the inspiration picture I showed was fondant, but they were able to replicate using buttercream so it tasted delicious! Which brings me to the most important part- their cakes are sooooo good! You know you have walked in to Grandmas bakery as the smell of delicious pastries and delicacies give you such anticipation of when you will taste the goodies. It was kind of short notice so I really appreciated that I could talk to them on the phone (rather than filling out forms or leaving messages). The cakes were exactly what we wanted and they were delicious! I was also happy to learn that all their ingredients are all natural and fresh and completely from scratch. He loves cricket which is a different theme for a cake to ask for, but she was able to include everything i was hoping for. She nailed it! I was in search for a good bakery in the Dallas area so I Googled cake bakeries and I came across Grandma Bakery. I started reading the reviews which were excellent. The cake decors were absolutely beautiful so I knew this was the bakery for me. I called the owner and we spoke about what I wanted. She designed the perfect cake for my son's birthday. The cake was very buttery, moist, and so delicious. The icing melted in your mouth like butter. If you are looking for a custom cake bakery I highly recommend Grandma's bakery.

I struggled looking for a bakery to have a toy story themed birthday cake for my son. I stumbled across Grandmas Bakery which is over one hour away from where I live. It was well worth the drive, they did a beautiful job with my sons toy story cake everyone loved it and the flavor was delicious the cake just melted in your mouth. I will definitely be making the drive to get all of our special occasion cakes from Grandmas Bakery. They were very friendly and answered all my questions with so much patience. Thank you so much!

I needed a decorated bakery cake on one day’s notice for my son’s engagement party. I found Grandma’s Bakery online and chose it because of the great reviews and convenient location. The strawberry cake I selected was great, and everyone loved it. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Grandma’s Bakery and the owners, Asraf and her husband. This sheet cake was one of the best I’ve ever had! It was 4” high, incredibly moist, deliciously rich (chocolate), and so full of flavor! There was very little cake left at the end of the night! I live out of state and I really wanted to find a place i felt truly comfortable on ordering a cake from. Grandmas bakery did an excellent job and made me feel very comfortable with placing an order with them. I placed a cake order for my moms surprise birthday. She absolutely loved it. As well as all the guest that came. What I love about this cake that it tasted like no other cake we had before. This is definitely a great place to get your cakes made.

Grandma’s Bakery made the most wonderful baby shark birthday cake for our daughter’s birthday and were able to accommodate all of our requests for the cake. The cake also tasted AMAZING!! I passed Grandmas bakery on the way home from work. I told my parents about it and they stopped and picked up some cream puffs and other assorted pastries. They were phenomenal. I then ordered my mom’s birthday cake from here. It exceeded all of our expectations! It was beautiful and one of the best Bday cakes I’ve ever tasted. Don’t pass this bakery up. It’s more than worth the stop! We will definitely be back.

I ordered a cake for my birthday (8 inch, recommended for 8-14 ppl) the piping was beautiful and the image printed was just how I wanted it. I got carrot cake and it was delicious!!! So moist, and the buttercream was perfect. Even my guests that don’t typically like carrot cake absolutely loved it. The owners are very kind! I highly recommend their cakes for any occasion.

We celebrated our "multi-class", High School reunion. Classes of 77, 78 & 79. The main cake (78), was decorated in our School colors and their year. There were cupcakes with the other two class years on top. Super cute and super good.

If you like sweets, this is the best place to go in Dallas. they are very kind and produce excellent sweets with high-quality materials. We tried a lot of their sweets and they were all great. But I love Napoleon, that's so soft and delicious. Whipped cream rolls were great and fresh. Cheesecake and tiramisu were also professional. I wish them success

Grandma's Bakery created a custom cake for my son's First Holy Communion celebration. I saw two different styles and wanted to combine the two styles and color schemes together. Grandmas bakery made our wedding cake and it was incredible!! They exceeded our expectations in every way. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, great value and tasted amazing… one of our wedding guests commented that they typically only have a bite because they are used to wedding cakes not being very tasty but they ate two pieces of our cake!

I called 48 hours before my anniversary to purchase a cake on a whim, and they delivered a tasty dessert that looked just as good as it tasted. This little shop is so cute! Mom-and-Pop feel to it, but the sweets are world-class. I loved it so much this morning that I brought my family back this afternoon. I loved their pita chips! Super fresh and crispy! He experiments with different seasonings and highly recommend them. The baklava was awesome as well. It had a strong nutty flavor that’s different from regular baklava that may be an aquired taste for some.

Place did an amazing job! They got the cake I wanted and I described it mostly over the phone. They were kind and sweet and everything was ready when they said it would be. Would definitely recommend them again and plan on using them for other occasions.

Ordered a birthday cake (choc) and to be honest its the best cake Ive had in a while! Perfect balance of sweetness in the cake to go with the icing. A lot of bakeries use WAY too much sugar but this place does it right!
