We had high expectations for brunch at this beautiful restaurant. Some of our friends rave about it and we have tried to come for brunch before, but the lines were out the door. We came early today and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't anything like our friends. I have a feeling our waiter was new. He started out great and was very nice, but after we got our drinks we rarely saw him. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and he didn't seem to be familiar with them on the menu. My guest asked about the Chilaquiles. She is a vegetarian and asked if they could substitute something for the eggs - he said no and the price would be the same. There didn't seem to be many savory vegetarian offerings on the menu, so she went for it. The restaurant started filling up, and it took quite awhile to get our food, and when we did you could tell that it had been sitting for awhile. My guest noticed there was chicken on her dish, and we waited for our server to come back and check on us. It was over 15 minutes before he finally did, and I had almost finished eating my dish. By that time she really didn't want anything else, and said she didn't notice that there was chicken on it and asked if they could take it off our check - she didn't want to wait for another dish. He went off to talk to someone, and when he came back he asked if we wanted to talk to a manager. A good manager shouldn't be asking if we want to talk to them, if there is a problem they should want to talk to us to resolve any issues. He said they couldn't take it off our check so we said fine, just wrap it up to go and we would find someone to eat it. Another 10 minutes later he brought back another plate of food - steaming hot, smaller portion but no chicken. This whole experience took over an hour, and there was as usual people lined up outside in the heat that I am sure would have loved to have had our table. We so wanted to have this as our new brunch spot, but we expect more from a place that is as highly rated as this is. Everyone has an off day, and we seemed to have gotten that day here.

I stumbled upon this adorable bakery in downtown Dallas, all thanks to my sister who took me there while we were out shopping. The interior design is stunning, and the bakery and restaurant inside look fantastic. However, we only stopped for the baked goods, and I must say, it was worth it. The prices were reasonable, especially for a downtown bakery. They have a wide variety of baked goods, including croissants, cookies, bread, cakes, fruit tarts, and many more. I decided to stock up on croissants, and I was delighted to find a basket at the front where I could select my preferred choices. I tried the chocolate and almond croissants, and I was blown away by how flaky and light the chocolate croissant was. It was so delicious that I regretted not buying more. However, the almond croissant was a bit too sweet, hard, and dry for my taste, and I got tired of it after a few bites. My sister opted for the fruit tart, and it looked heavenly, with fresh fruits on top that made it so colorful. She devoured it instantly and enjoyed it tremendously. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and baked goods at this bakery, and I plan to return to try out their restaurant since it looked impressive and smelled delightful.

Super cute restaurant and amazing bakery! My husband and I came Saturday for brunch, the wait was about 20 mins but we didn't mind. As we waited we walked through the bakery and looked at all their fresh pan dulce (sweet bread), everything looked so good! Once we were seated, they sat us in a super tiny table (disappointed) our server had to bring us an extra chair to put some of the things we had on the table. It's enough room for your coffee and plate only. The menu is basic, I read online that it's a Guatemalan based restaurant but I didn't see anything authentic. Another thumb down for me was how they described the food. Example, the Salvadoran plate, comes with 2 pupusas but they call it corn tortillas stuffed with cheese (tear) as a Salvadoran I feel they could of just said pupuas and added the description. I had to order the Salvadoran plate to try the pupusas, not bad at all! Coffee is good, strong aroma and good tasted. I also ordered a mocha with coconut milk (amazing)! After we finished eating, we made our way back to the bakery and grab a couple of pan dulce. Overall, it's good. Both my husband and I liked it enough to come back :D

Service here was slow on a Saturday morning. They were very busy, and me and the table next to us were not attended to; no water, nothing. The table next to us complained, and a different server finally took our order and brought us water. The manager had to come back with our server and apologize for the delay. Our server was new - first day on the job, and it didn’t seem like anyone was training him and he was doing his best. Although the flavor of the food was great, it came out warm/room temp, which ruins part of the taste too. We visited the bakery that is right next to the restaurant to buy some pastries. You grab a basket that has tongs inside, choose your pastries, then check out and they bag/box it for you. That service was fine and we were able to check out quickly. Valet is complimentary (tips appreciated) since parking is not ideal in uptown. They’re quick and efficient, so we were able to get in and out of car in a timely manner. Overall, some things were okay and some were not, so I wouldn’t come back.

San Martin bakery is seriously one of the best bakeries and brunch spots I've ever been to! The bakery itself is massive, and you won't believe the variety they offer - from cakes and pies to mouthwatering pastries. But let me tell you, the chocolate napoleon is my absolute weakness - it's like heaven in every bite! Now, when I get lucky enough to go for brunch, the chiliaquiles steal the show. Seriously, they are hands down my top choice on the menu. The whole vibe of the place is so cool and inviting, and the staff is always super friendly, making the experience even better. I'll admit, if you're rolling deep with a big group, you might end up waiting a bit. But trust me, it's totally worth it. Overall, I have such a blast every time I visit, and I'm stoked for their new Addison location to open up. Can't wait to go back and indulge in all that goodness!

Caution self parking your own car. My wife and I decided to bring her parents to this restaurant after the rush. We got there about 2:30. It was a empty parking lot. So we decided to self park in the handicapped area. We hung our placard and went in. We were seated immediately. The food was decent. It was very warm inside, but it was over 100 outside. The backed goods just didn't look fresh. We left after a hour and drove home. I noticed a low air pressure about halfway home to Rockwall. When we pulled into our driveway. My front passenger tire was flat. I had to change it myself. I noticed a deep cut on the side wall of the tire. These are two week old new tires! The guy at Discount had to charge us for another new tire. He said our tire was clearly cut with a knife. Are the guys Valeting at your place so upset that we didn't use their services they would do something like this. We could have had a blowout on I-30 on the way home. I will not be returning. This I'd very unacceptable.

Nice try! I had dinner and also got some pastries from their bakery— long in short, they are ok. I had their Tuscan pasta which was awful haha it was super sweet, honestly I should’ve asked if that was the right taste. Felt like they used sugar instead of salt.. probably the worst pasta in my life. Beef tartare thingie was alright. Surprisingly sour tho. Wasn’t so bad but wasn’t the best. I liked their soup. Can’t remember what it was called but it was pretty good! From the bakery, people recommended me to get that tile-shaped cookie thingie, which was quite bad lol like, I can only taste flower or some powdery taste. Chocolate croissant was good tho who can make bad chocolate croissants haha so overall it was a nice try, but probably won’t go back or won’t recommend to my friends. Oh and also they don’t have free parking lot. It’s all valet. They said “valet is complimentary, only tips!” but who actually don’t tip valet? I mean, yes it should be just tip cuz you aren’t a hotel parking..:) valet people were nice and kind!
We went around 9:30/10 am right before it got busy. Wait was less than 2 minutes. We were seated promptly. First impression was that the atmosphere was very pleasent and lively and had a what I'd assume to be an authentic Guatemalan feel from the menu to the staff. Really cool. I had the chicken chilaquiles with both sauces. The flavor was good however the food was lukewarm which was kind of disappointing. However, I'd still go back and order the same thing! My husband had the prosciutto egg Benedict and said he enjoyed it. Onto the pastries, the most exciting part. They have a grand selection of pastries and they did not dissapoint. We originally went based off the recommendation that they had some of the best pastries and they were indeed 10/10. Given the thumbs up from a fellow Parisian.

This place was quite pretty, but lacking in many ways. There was a leak in the ceiling right next to our table. In all honesty the food was not good. We went for lunch and we’re quite disappointed that there were no authentic food from Guatemala. We tried the pasta alla vodka which was not really good in taste, in texture and there were barely any chicken in the pasta. The sweet bread was honestly not that good either there are other Guatemalan bakeries with better bread and cheaper prices. Honestly if the experience at the restaurant with the poor tasting food wasn’t enough the valet guy refused to let us go without tipping, I had no cash on me and was left in an uncomfortable situation in which the valet refused to close my door until I left him something. I was completely unaware they worked for tips and would have been prepared if I knew. Really unfortunate first experience at this restaurant. Will not recommend or be back.
This is my third time visiting San Martin's, i had pretty good experience the first two time but this time i was disappointed by the service, we were group of 5 and were given a table at the very end near the rest rooms. Firstly, we did not receive the bread basket and our server forgot the order. We received incorrect orders and we tried to communicate the same to the server but his attention to our table was too poor, he was only present 3 times at the table for the entire time we stayed 1- taking the order, 2- serving and 3- taking the cheque. He has not really checked on us in between to see if we need anything which was pretty disappointing especially in a this service industry.

Did sit down breakfast and got some items from the bakery. Parking valet only. I was able to find street parking close by on a Friday morning. Breakfast prices were fairly normal, $12-$15 not including drinks. The included bread was a great tasting of the bakery options. The employees were generally nice but my server was awful. The place was less than half full. Never stopped by after taking my order. Had to wait 10 minutes after pushing my plate away to signal I was done before I got the check. No refill on coffee or water. Food flavor was good, not 5 stars but definitely tasty. Ambiance is very nice and airy. I wish the croissants in the bakery had some crust to them (they look like the ones you get at a grocery bakery), but overall selection and other options were very good.

Beautiful place to eat at! The service was great and the food was outstanding Our waiter made our experience very pleasant and comfortable. The bakery attached is a must to pick up fresh made sweet bread and dinner loafs (large and minis). Highly recommended this place. Can't wait to come back to experience breakfast and brunch. OK, I've returned and had some items from the Brunch menu. The Mexican Molletes are delish! (Baguette sliced in half longways covered in black beans, your choice of meat and fresh avocado slices and salsa (not spicy)). The regular coffee was a bit on the bitter side. Will try a latte next time. Their pancakes are great and the Torito (breakfast hamburger with an egg) was the best burger my niece has ever had (her words - she's a burger critic). And, as always, we love buying from the bakery afterwards.
I have come here in different times of the year and my favorite month to come here is September lol I live for there chuchitos and taquitos dorados is sucks that is not a yearly dish but other wise there menu is always deliciously good. You can go simple or go sweet or something traditional. I miss my mother’s dishes back home and I rejoin them with this restaurant. I am originally from California I moved to NWA but I tell my family to hit the Dallas airport and yes best believe this is my morning brunch restaurant to hit before coming home lol . The bread the coffee just everything is so gorgeous and Great vibe. Somos the Santa Rosa De Lima , Guatemala.

This is my third time in San Martín, and like all previous times it was a wonderful dining experience. One of the things I enjoy most here is their freshly ground coffee, it always reminds me of my Latin roots. This time we tried a new dish, breakfast enchiladas, it was delicious, and the plantains here are unique. Certainly the restaurant was full and we had to wait a bit to be seated, but it was worth every second of the wait. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our requests. Before we left we stopped by the bakery and brought back some freshly baked bread, there is no other bread like it in Dallas.

I've been to San Martin multiple times and I've never had a bad experience. The only thing I would have to complain about is making reservations because no one answered the phone and I made an online reservation but none worked. I had to wait 30 min to get seated (but we were a party of 7 so it wasn't bad). •Food- Honestly anything in the menu is good, BUT if I were to recommend anything I would try out the tortilla soup it's my personal favorite. •Environment-a bit crowded when it's rush hour, but you don't feel rushed and it's pretty clean. I love the ambiance overall, though the open umbrellas inside are nice I don't particularly like them.

Was suggested this place by a coworker for a brunch hangout! I must say this place was quite interesting the atmosphere was nice and the food was great. we all ordered mimosas with the mimosas they wrap a knitted band around the glass (each with a different design and color). For the food I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on croissant bread which was very tasty. They have valet parking which is free the servers are nice and they bring your food out fast! Will definitely be going again!!

Food is great! But service and management lack I went on a busy Sunday and I know service won't be a 10 BUT when your server walks past you multiple times and doesn't acknowledge you is just rude. I asked the manager on duty to remove the gratuity because there was no way I was going to tip her 20% when she ignored my table and the guys next to us. Manager said it was policy for gratuity to be put on plates, not tables, plates of 5 or more she didn't want to remove the gratuity until I pretty much made her do it. That's why the servers treat you however because they know the gratuity will be included no matter the service.

We were a table of 11 and the wait at 1135 am was an hour but entirely worth it! Bakery had such an amazing variety of great options. While we waited for our table, we just HAD to buy some to take home. We ordered chilaquiles, molletes, Omolette Ham/bacon croissants, Tostadas, Pizza, margaritas even a Paloma. Our waiter, Ulises was extremely attentive and kind! He answered all of our questions, being our first time there and his suggestions for margaritas were, in fact, superb! Atmosphere was beautiful and clean as well! Everything was phenomenal!

The food, ambience, and service were magnificent! This place is an absolute 10/10. This was my first time coming here to celebrate my sisters birthday and we already have plans going back this weekend. They offer complementary valet parking and we waited about 40 minutes to be seated (we did come during peak hours). Near the end of us dining there, our waiter and 3 others came out with a cute pastry with a candle to sing happy birthday to my sister. Whether with family, a date, or having a simple friends day, this place will not disappoint!
This was my first time being here and the waitress Monserrat was super sweet! We really liked her welcoming presence and patience. I had the steak breakfast burrito and it was super delicious! The valet service is also complimentary and the staff was also super friendly. 10 out of 10, would come here again!

The waitstaff was attentive, friendly and the place was beautiful. The food would have been better if everything wasn't cold. We had a variety of foods and everything was cold. After some confusion about a particular coffee not being available I settled on a chai latte but they changed it back to original coffee without informing me and the milk curdled when poured in my cup. So to say I was disappointed is putting it mildly. Maybe it was a off day in the kitchen and might try again when I'm in the area again.
Food was good, and we really loved the bakery offerings. It is worth pointing out that our server was quite inattentive after the meal was finished. It easily took 10-15 minutes plus for him to come back around and check in/ give us our bill. And even then, he had to be waved down. I did enjoy all 3 of the croissant variations though!

Place is awesome. We visit every time we stay in Dallas. Super spacious and atmospheric. Free valet (but you better tip). A little on the pricey side but that is to be expected. We decided to stop at San Martin for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The friendly staff and fresh food made our visit enjoyable. I love the feel of this restaurant, I’ve been there 3 times so far and the staff is always very courteous and warm. The food is flavorful and the portions are very generous. They serve a basket with miniature bread that’s not only adorable but tasty. I have also purchased their fresita cake twice for birthdays and everyone has raved about it, plus the price can’t be beat for the quality. If you get the hot chocolate, be prepared for real authentic chocolate, so it’s not as sweet.
We came during their busy lunch time but still got seated right away. It’s valet only and they work off tips. The ambiance is fresh and airy with lovely decor and greeneries. I was still recovering from a recent stomach bug so I stuck with something simple. Got a Turkey Sandwhich with potato soup. Both were delicious. My friend got the pasta alla vodka and really enjoyed it. The drinks were really good too. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. Really enjoyed our experience!
I would've given 5 stars except our waiter barely spoke English and it was very hard to order our food and separate the check. But all in all it was great. I recommend this place for a nice family brunch

I had a great experience. There is two entrance, one for the restaurant and another for the bakery but it is an open floor plan. The food came out fast & fresh, servers were very friendly, and the overall vibe was very enjoyable. Decent pricing and filling for two. My partner and I got the rustic apple tart ($6.95) and the brunch Cobanero Diabola Pasta + Artisan Cobb salad combo that came with any handcrafted drinks + fresh bread ($22.40). Total came to $24.25
This place hit all my boxes for 5 stars! Super cute aesthetic, verrryyyyy reasonably priced, and friendly service. When we pulled up I was a little worried about the prices being extravagant since you typically see anywhere that has “complementary valet”. But when we got menus everything was around the $15 range! Their specialty coffee was only 3.25! I was so pleased with our food, service, and overall experience and will definitely have to be back!
I mean beside the server gaslighting me it was and overall nice experience. The frozen Jamaica was a must try especially with this summer. I order the avocado toast but the really star was the strawberrys Pancakes. Sadly i didn't take a pic but it was just right .

San Martin is one of my family favorite restaurants. We visit maybe 1 to 3 times a month. Not only everything in their menu is delicious, but i also love their bakery section and in general the whole vibe of the restaurant is enjoyable. Most of the servers are extremely friendly. The food is delicious and their desserts are the best! I love their coffe and all the options they have. I will definitely keep coming back.
It is a great bakery and restaurant!! They have one of the best authentic Guava pastries along with 20+ other pastries! Service is amazing and we were greeted and served by one of the best professionals named Carlos. He was super friendly and caring for our experience!! I am definitely coming back here again also they have cute mugs in which they serve drinks and wide variety of fresh fruit juices, coffee and drinks.
Super cute place! Parking is very limited and by valet but it's by donations. Sat down right away on a Monday for lunch. My mom (a coffee connoisseur) said she had the best latte ever- not too sweet, creamy enough. Our salads were unique and flavorful. We picked up a few items from the bakery and all of them were awesome- fresh, moist, just enough sweet, unique).

Amazing flavors for eveything. Best light beer - very crisp and clean (most popular beer in Guatemala, I hear!)! The sweeter bread is perfect for dipping into a sweet caramel capuchino. Eggs and sauces and plantains and beans are wonderful. I'd order everything again next time. I wish I had found this spot earlier! There is also a bakery attached with fresh goods! 10/10 would go again.
From the moment we stepped into this place we until we got the check and left the establishment we had nothing but greet atmosphere, amazing service and incredible food and bakery. We came in the busiest time and we only waited 30 minutes. While we were waiting we got some pastry’s and coffee from the bakery’s corner. Highly recommended for any occasion. Family friendly.
Nice sunny and airy building with some decoration. I had 2 pastries which were excellent. Prices were a little high. I paid $10.28 for the 2 pastries. Parking seemed to be a bit of an issue.

I was just there to get a gift card I had to wait 30 minutes to get it. The parking lot has guys asking you for a TIP before you’re ready to leave . Overall not a big deal Madeline bakery is similar and hassle free.

Absolutely love it! Perfect spot for a breakfast date! So many options and all so delicious! Loved the attentiveness of our waiter and love the fact that the manager was always on top of things and making sure his customers were well attended to! They also have a bakery with many delicious pastries! Will definitely come back again !
Oh this place was awesome. Went here with my coworkers for lunch and the food was very good and reasonably priced. They also have a pastry shop with a good selection of pastries and cakes which i was too full to try but plan on coming back. I also had the hazelnut latte which was amazing. Service was good as well. Highly recommend!
I’m visiting from out of town and I made sure to stop by San Martin for an authentic Guatemalan breakfast and it did not disappoint! Great ambiance and the staff was so friendly! Monse was kind enough to pose for a quick selfie. She’s awesome!! Don’t forget to stop at the bakery before you head out the door! Deliciousness!!!!
Great place for pastries and coffee! Pretty much everything on the menu looks tasty. Try the soup and sandwich combo for lunch! Parking can be a little tricky but I always park on the street.

This was my first experience here and it was amazing. First off its valet required for parking which is ok since there's no fee but its nice to tip. The best part about this place is while you're waiting to get seated, you can buy anything you want from the bakery. The food was delicious and the ambiance was great too.
Kids meals was great. Food was good and portion was good.

I really enjoyed this restaurant/Bakery. Lots of plants, big windows, open space, and natural light. They have a decent size bakery with lots of pastries and breads. The restaurant section is really good too. I also like the variety of drinks they had on their menu as well. A really great place to grab lunch.
This place is AMAZING!!! Family trip to Dallas and we stopped in for brunch. The bakery smells delicious and the presentation of the selection makes you want to take everything. Everyone loved the food and service. We stopped in twice before heading back to Houston. If you're in Dallas, this is a must visit
2 stars for the moscato I was given. I ordered a pitcher of moscato with fruit and the wine was diluted from sitting in ice and I could count on my fingers the itty bitty strawberries in the pitcher. Dissapointing On a good note, bakery is appealing to the eye and the fruit tart was delicious
I went during lunch and ordered the soup and half salad, the special also included a medium drink. I had to get the white sangria as well. The atmosphere was calm and gorgeous my waiter Willie was spectacular and the soup was everything and more. I can not wait to go back to try the pasta!
I visited Texas for 5 days and went to have Brunch there 3 days. The food was good and the atmosphere was great service was also great. I loved that they have multiple dishes and combine Guatemalan,Salvadoran and American dishes.

My goodness, you must try this place, it was delicious. I had the chilaquiles, so good, and their chia limonada was good too. My favorite part of this place was their panadería side which included pastries (pan dulce) and much more, I had to take some pan dulce home with me.
Arrive early because it can get busy. Great menu and gift shop. You can either valet or park on the street. I had the guamaltecan huevos doblados and the hot chocolate. Would return. While i was here, it looked like 3 separate parties were celebrating a birthday.
Very busy, clean, friendly/courteous staff, good service, and delicious coffee/food. Loved the decor.

My husband brought us here for lunch and I have to say the inside of the restaurant is very nicely decorated for the holidays. There is complimentary parking but beware they did not know how to drive manual (stick) and stalled my husbands
San Martin was very busy which was expected on a Sunday morning, however the wait was only about 10 minutes which was great. I loved that the brunch menu was different than most places and I was able to try spanish themed breakfast foods.
This place was very good. It was quite a long wait however we had a large party. They had some amazing raspberry mimosas, and the Chilaquiles were good. The Chilaquiles could’ve used a little bit more spice, but probably caters to the
Been waiting to go here for a while... located in uptown. Prepare for minimal parking and 1-2 hour waits during prime time brunch. They have a bakery area and coffee you can take to go if you can't snag a table inside. Nice layout and
Very clean and spacious Restaurant and Bakery. The bread is delicious as well as the variety of Guatemalan, Salvadorian and Tex-Mex breakfasts. It's also possible to buy the dough to take home and make great bread at one's convenience.
Had a great time visiting San Martin. Carlos was our server and he was friendly and very informative about the menu. He suggested ending our meal with a banana nutella crepe and it was delicious. I will definitely be back!
Great ambience, friendly staff, good food from breakfast until dinner. You cannot complete your visit without walking over to the in house bakery. What a cute place to enjoy a relaxing weekend day with friends and family.
First time here & had a great experience. I really enjoyed here, food is delicious and prices are affordable. Additionally, the bakery is wonderful and I bought some home for my morning coffee . Highly recommend! …
We Love it, the service is good but not excellent. It’s too busy until 2 PM after that its good time to go as a family.

Outstanding! It has everything that makes you truly enjoy your visit: delicious food, amazing staff, and a quality environment.
Service from the waitress was horrible. Inattentive, and rude. Food was decent, very good for the price.
