Fantastic place to explore this park from. We (4 adults + baby in carrier) did the Gorge trail (orange on the map). 6 km took about 3 1/2 hours. The path down into the gorge was beautiful. Once you reach the stream it was a lot more challenging as there is sections that do not really have a path. You make your own way down the river picking a couple of places to cross the stream. The track/stream dead ends into the fire track after about a mile along the stream so you can’t miss the turn. Really fun walk, beautiful and just allow yourself some extra time to navigate the stream section.

If you are going in rain season, maybe don’t choose the bottom trial. Cause it is 100% get wet trial, river level pretty high, covers the rocks that help you to cross the river, need go into the river so can get back to the trial. Definitely not very safe for kids. BUT, if like adventure, that’s the most interesting trial in Adelaide! Worth to go!

A great place for a hike or even a short walk. Well defined trails and lots of trail markers. Gates to the park have car parking, sometimes a toilet and often maps and other helpful information for visitors. Some locations have picnic tables but remember there are no rubbish bins so please take all your rubbish with you when you leave.

I had heard about this place from my kids. Never have I been here before, and I am wondering why. We only dit a relatively short hike, 1hour down to the gorge, 10 or 15 for a drink and a snack and a few pictures and another hour back to tge car park.

Beautiful park, with good, mature trails. Great view of the river, gorge and a little waterfall in the distance. The lookout point was great too. Saw some kangaroos in the wild. Plenty of birds, but best to be equipped with binoculars.

Spacious car park, a toilet, and a map all make for a good starting point. A few different walks start off from here, we took the nature trail which was lovely but only took an hour. Can't wait to come back when everything's in bloom.

A beautiful part of the Fleurieu to explore in the Onkaparinga Gorge national Park. Plenty of walks to take starting at gate 11 with varying degrees of difficulty. Bonus points for a public toilet. Beautiful bushland and wildlife

Love it up there. This time did the river walk. Got all the way to the bottom to find the river was above the banks and over the path. Could not continue. Had to turn around. Will try again after a few weeks of dry weather.

  • Graham Young

Plenty of walking trails, not difficult, lots of solitude if you want. No pets though, and that's okay. It's a really large park but it's hard to get lost. Just walk uphill and you will find the road

  • Cleo Lykos

Lovely natural South Australian gorge environment. Variety of track lengths, most undulating. Variety of flora and lots of bird song. We used Google Maps to pick exactly which track to use.

  • Kathy Ariffin

The walk to punchbowl lookout is an easy stroll through pristine bushland. We were greeted by a mob of kangaroos, laughed with kookaburras. An amazing walk with the Skyline walkers.

  • Jocelyn Chamberlain

Good variety of short loop walks which are true to name- eg. Sundew tracks you will expect many examples of this native on the loop. Stunning view at the lookout- selfie worthy

  • Dr John Kenworthy

Fantastic views on a nice loop trail. Takes 90 mins to 2 hours for a 4.5 km loop. Go clockwise. And follow loop trail signs. Undulating and need good shoes.

  • Matthew S

Nice place for a walk with a few sections giving nice views over the gully. Some of the trails get pretty rocky so be sure to wear appropriate footwear!

  • Robert “Gritty”

Just started hiking here. It's a great setting with a number of trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Make sure you follow the correct markers!

  • Janos Veresbaranji

Off street car park, washroom and some tables upstream. I think this is a great starting point to explore the stunning upper Onkaparinga Gorge.

  • Kane Harris

Great walk. If you go at sunrise, or just before sunset, you'll usually see kangaroos. Echidnas and koalas too, but they are much rarer.

  • Dean Hobson-Campbell

Beautiful landscape, the punchbowl loop is graded as a level 3 and is a very forgiving trail with a brilliant reward midway through.

  • Rich Kid Software

A selection of great hiking trails for people of different fitness, my favourite is the Nature Hike because I'm not in any way fit!

Great walk , stunning scenery let down by overgrown paths and lack of signage at the bottom of the gorge where it is needed most.
