3 months ago I went about my business as usual. After work on the Friday went to Costco, me and my son made my groceries came home put my groceries away, do my little housework, and I went to bed. I got up on a Saturday morning in excruciating pain, didn't know what was causing it, so I went into the emergency and spent almost 6 hours there, and when I was finally seen by the doctors, they did x-rays but, nobody could tell me what was going on with me they give me some prescription for painkillers, then sent me home still in excruciating pain. One week or so later, I went back into emergency, again, seen by another doctor that did the same plus some blood work, because they wanted to find out if I had arthritis or whatever, then sent me home they with a reference to a specialist. I spoke to her and I was very disappointed because she spoke to me and I think, from my experience, she gave up on me before I could give up on myself. Anyhow, I told her that I still wanted to continue seeing her because I wanted to get rid of the pain. She sent me for some more blood test and blood work. When I got my results was, she told me over the phone that I had arthritis and, if nothing was done done, it could turn into osteoporosis. I asked her if she could refer me to physiotherapist and that's how come I got to know about you guys. I got the call from Focus Physiotherapy, went to see the physiotherapist, and explained to them, the same exact things that I explained to all the doctors in the emergency. The physiotherapist was very patient, he listened to everything that I had to say, and by the time I was done talking, he asked me come over to his computer to I want to show me a bunch of different diagrams, and he asked me which one best represents my pain. I showed him, and he showed/told me what I had (I forget the big name he used), anyhow I'm determined to get better and i allow him to do his do, I listened to all the information he had to say, and he instructions for me to follow. This is going on the third week from when I started seeing him, and I'm feeling so much better. I'm glad and thank god that I did asked the doctor for a physiotherapist referral. Thank god that I met this physiotherapist because today I am walking on my leg, without a cane, and the pain has subsided greatly. All I have to say is, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you Richard and your whole group. Thank you.

Top recommendation, for sure!!! My 15 year old son Evan tore his ACL of his right knee which required paediatric ACL reconstruction surgery and now a 9 month recovery phase. Richard Chu, as his primary physiotherapist provided a comprehensive assessment. He is very experienced, highly qualified, and a true professional. He addresses our concerns and answers our questions thoroughly. He truly is the core of this well run institution. Richard established a multitude of individualized therapy treatments and exercises for Evan which has significantly improved his healing process. This includes the Alter G, anti gravity treadmill, laser, and EMS treatments. Huge shout out to the amazing therapists, and assistants, especially Jean. She is very approachable, highly trained, and always so considerate of Evan’s disposition. I consider myself having a pretty good tolerance for pain and I’ve always said just leave it. It will go away. Well this time my handling of my pain didn’t cut the mustard and I finally went to a walk in clinic and got pain killers and a physiotherapist referral. Again I put it off but finally made an appointment with Focus. It changed my opinion completely around. I was greeted by two wonderful ladies and very soon was with Richard. He very quickly knew exactly what my problem was and it wasn’t what I had decided it was. I thought it was my chair I used at my home computer and he said nope it’s how I sleep. I’m a side sleeper and I put to much pressure on my left arm. He showed me how to use a pillow and then I got my treatment. They were all as gentle as they could be and did it hurt. ..yes but no pain no gain Since that treatment my shoulder has had hardly any pain and if I feel it coming on I immediately do the exercises he showed me and the pain goes away immediately. Went today for a 2nd treatment and shoulder feels even better I cannot sing the praises for the clinic enough. They are all wonderful and if you need a physiotherapist go to see them and if you can see Richard you are in the best hands there are. Don’t live with pain. They can take it away.

I have been to other places in Mississauga and this place is the best! You can tell just by walking in that Focus Physiotherapy is a professional physiotherapy clinic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My experience started off very nicely, my appointment was booked in an efficient manner, my first session was an assessment and I felt they took the time to identify all the issues of my problem. The treatment sessions were excellent I participated in an exercise regimen, was seen by physiotherapist would work on me and they would use laser or other equipment. I left with additional exercises I would do at home. I always felt I knew what was going on and when the recovery seemed slow I was encouraged by their knowledge that certain injuries do take time, especially since my job can be demanding and work would sometimes cause a flare up. In the end I have recovered fully due to the care I received at Focus Physiotherapy. I also feel I know how to prevent the injury from coming back. I understand the causes for my neck and back pain and am better equipped to prevent these things from happening in the future I really truly feel the team at Focus Physiotherapy Mississauga is awesome and it is the best physiotherapy clinic!

Focus Physiotherapy helped me get through a painful experience back in 2012/13 when part of my calf muscle was torn. I could barely walk without the use of crutches until I’d received a couple of weeks of therapy and, within another few weeks, I was walking normally and happy to be back at work. So, after many months and adjustments with a chiropractor for a lower back issue went unresolved during the pandemic, I once again contacted Focus Physiotherapy to see if they could help. Richard knew exactly what I was talking about when I’d mentioned the pain I was experiencing, and suggested a simple course of treatment. Along with some stretch/strengthening exercises, there is electric stimulation, laser and massage therapy and I couldn’t be more thankful. Today, I’m moving much better with far less pain, and look forward to being rid of it totally in the near future! THIS IS NOT A FAKE review. I wouldn't wrote such a long msg just to fake it! It's my health what we are talking about here!! I'll send you an email but if it's not about getting at least part of my money back then don't even bother replying, Thanks.Richard was bad! I showed up 20min before my appointment like I was told to. They were late for 1 hour and 15min. I pointed out the area of pain during the assessment and he left the .machines work on the wrong area. I told him and he just apologize then he was about to leave until I ASKED him to treat me manually at least. He just rub me with gel. So I basically paid $100 for someone to rub me with gel not even in a special way. I can technically ask my little sister to do the same.. Very very horrible experience. I wish I can have my money back. I do NOT recommend this clinic at all!! Don't waste your money specially if you don't have insurance! Plus the receptionist was really rude over the phone and in person.

I've taken my son on his Orthopedic Dr. referral to this physiotherapy clinic, to get therapy for his knee injury, ACL-strain, not knowing what to expect, being to some other physio clinic, thought to give it a try, to my surprise, from the first day the therapist told my son after initial assessment that he sees problems with the way he walks and run, gave him tips how to fix them, and he got the treatment as well, the staff is very professional and feignedly, after the 3rd visit the pain on my son's knee started diminishing, after the 5th visit, the pain is completely gone, and the therapist told my son, he no longer need to come to the clinic. he already resumed his basketball games. this clinic is phenomenal, I highly recommend it, especially for people with sport injuries.

I had a very bad experience with the receptionist today. I'm a senior citizen and my Doctor referred me to have lumbar traction. I called around 2 p.m to enquire about the availability of this service at FOCUS. The receptionist said yes but when I mentioned that I'm on OHIP she told me that the appointment would be after two months. I said ok but she hung up the phone. I IMMEDIATELY called back to find a message that no one is available to answer my call. Fortunately, I was asked to leave a message ... which I did angrily criticising her behavior and requesting that they call me back. I'll check my phone to find out whether they call or not. I demand an apology and would endure the pain rather than be treated at this place. Khalid Affan

I had a very severe vertigo attack affecting both my left and right ears in all four of my inner ear canals and Richard was absolutely amazing in treating me. Not only was he patient and thorough in his care and treatment, but he was also very effective. Although he had to do 8 consecutive Epley maneuver series in one visit due to the severity, after he completed the session, the spinning had ceased. Jean and Joanne (reception) were also great and very kind and professional in their demeanor. If anyone is looking for a physiotherapist I would highly recommend Richard - especially if suffering from vertigo as not many physiotherapists are familiar with this specific technique.

I suffered from chronic pain in my lower back for almost 10 years, only being given muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories and prescribed massage therapy by doctors. Finally I was able to try physio through Focus Physiotherapy in Mississauga and I could not be happier. My "chronic" back pain turned out to be treatable without medication, a few physio treatments and some stretches later I feel like I can finally live life pain free. The team here at Focus treat you like their own family they are trying to help get better, not just a number on a list of patients. Highly recommend Focus Physiotherapy! My 77 year old father had knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago. We began in home physio with Richard from Focus for twice a week for 6 weeks. The results were extraordinary - my father began walking without any aid or cane within 4 weeks, and after the 6 week post op appointment with the surgeon, he no longer requires physio given the strength and range of motion achieved. Richard is a highly competent, patient and kind physiotherapist who pushed my Dad and encouraged him along the way - highly highly recommend!! Worth the investment if you want your loved ones to recover quickly :)

Focus Physiotherapy in Mississauga is an amazing clinic. The clinic had OHIP covered Physiotherapy, which was very reassuring, but I was very impressed with the level of care they provided. Excellent! I have been to Focus Physiotherapy in Mississauga a few times for several different unrelated issues. I have always found them professional and effective. They take the time during the initial assessment to identify what has caused my pain and then outline a plan to get me better. The clinic has registered physiotherapists employed full time, which is different from other places I have been to. My sessions with the staff have always been excellent. Before going to Focus Physiotherapy I tried other clinics, Focus Physiotherapy is the best. I sent my family there, that’s how good I think they are!

I had terrible back pain since the beginning of this year, to the point where I had to leave work twice, because I couldn't do my job. My work was kind enough to give me benefits early, and I found Focus Physiotherapy directly across the street from my home. When I had my initial assessment, Richard did a pain test on me, and so many movements hurt. After five visits, and some outpatient therapy suggestions, I'm completely pain-free. Great service, the treatment was amazing and so was the staff. I have been going to focus physiotherapy for a year now and they have always been welcoming and treated me very well. Both receptionists always welcome you with a great smile and a positive attitude. This place is a real gem! I went to Focus Physiotherapy because I had nagging back pain that kept coming back. I am so glad I did! This clinic is excellent! They got me better and now I can play with my kids without pain. They taught me what to do to protect my back and how to keep me from getting hurt. The best Physiotheraphy clinic in Mississauga. Richard (physiotherapist), Jean and the whole staff makes a good team. I was suffering from knee pain for months and I was told by my previous physiotherapist that I just have to learn to manage the pain because it will not go away. Richard proved them wrong. The staff has always been professional & attentive on all my visits. I have never waited very long in the waiting room. I have been coming to the Hurontario location for multiple years for different issues. I have seen the staff cleanse the chairs, beds & machines. They also cleanse their hands before and during each client. I have not used or seen anyone in the exercise room. But I am sure that would be the same. I would recommend this facility to my friends and family.

Highly professional staff and great services!! Before I found Focus Physiotherapy, I was in chronic pain for weeks, saw 3 different doctors with three different diagnoses, none of the medications prescribed to me helped me get better. Until I finally went to Focus Physiotherapy, it took Richard 20 minutes to explain what was going on, everything he said resonated so well and in less than 48 hours I started to feel better.

Excellent experience would recommend highly. Went in with some chronic shoulder pain. Was assessed by Richard and began treatment right away. Staff is efficient and friendly. I have had a few physiotherapy treatments before and based on my experience, I found Focus Physiotherapy to be one of the best physiotherapy centers that I went to. Everyone who works here, starting from the receptionists to the physiotherapists, is friendly, cordial and knowledgeable. They provide excellent treatment. I recommend Focus Therapy without reservation.

A great place with knowledgable staff that really helped me walk with my knee injury at first. But they should spend more time on the treatment and some better communication. Sometimes they leave for too long. Sessions that are supposed to be 45 mins don't even add up to 30 mins. Overall, the exercises they recommended helped me a lot and I appreciate that.

Amazing staff, came in trying to find help in my knee which no one could figure out for so long. Came here and right away, Richard was able to tell me what is wrong and now one month later I have seen such a huge improvement in my knee. I'm tore my acl a couple months ago, underwent surgery, and am currently doing physio here. The staff is amazing; they are friendly, very helpful, and make the recovery process a lot more bearable. With the treatments I have been receiving and the exercises they have given me, I am already seeing steady improvements in my knee. This place is pretty cool.

I started my sessions a month ago at Focus to treat chronic pain and weakness in my forearms, the pain level decreased a lot and I feel them getting stronger after doing the exercises I was instructed to do. The staff are professional and helpful, the place is clean and nice, the equipment is high quality and the appointments are well organized.

Awesome place to be. Everyone is very nice there. You got any physio problem, they'll fix it very quickly straight to the point. I got moderate severity frozen shoulder (extremely painful). Came here for about 2 months, I think 6-7 sessions and I am out recovered. Highly recommend anyone who has any physio problem.

I am visiting Focus for my plantar fasciitis and must say that all staff members are very nice. Echo the comment others have said that they treat you like family. There is very good improvement in pain I have been having for months. This is my first time visting a physiotherapist and couldnt recommend them more.

The place is very clean, and pleasant. The staff are very friendly. The reason that I’m not giving this place a 5 star is that I think that they should spend little bit more time on the treatments. All of my visits lasted maximum 30 minutes and in other places I get 45 minutes to 1 hour for similar price.
