No work ethics, incompetent, no bedside manner, long waiting time. I was early for appointment, I had to wait 30' without any apology or reason why Dr was running late. When it was my turn, nobody came out from the Dr's room either! So I don't know what the Dr was doing the whole time. Dr Rasika made me come back to the clinic 3 times, just because I wanted to have a simple procedure done. The first time, she sent me to an unnecessary test because she "wasn't sure if I could do it". The second time, with the test result, she still couldn't do what I asked. I was sent home and she asked to book another appointment. Before I left, she even said "I've done this many times, so don't worry". The third time, after waiting for her to see me, even though I was early for my appointment, and still ended waiting 30; for her. She told me bluntly "I'm really busy at the moment, could you come back again?", "I still have 3 patients to see after you", "if you want, you can wait until I finish seeing those 3 patients then I can perform the procedure". It's not like I just showed up without appointment. I made my appointment a week in advance and spent my time waiting in the waiting room! Same issue, 3 visits with nothing done. I went to another GP clinic and had the procedure done within 5'. This doctor really makes me feel like she only cares about the number of visit she could get in a day so she could claim money from Medicare! The world doesn't need this kind of doctor who only cares about money! Incompetent GP with no work ethics!

Shocking!! I booked this on a Sunday as it was the only place I could get it- obviously available because no one wants to see this useless doctor. Firstly they weren’t going to see my sick 4 month old because he had a cough, I was concerned about his breathing and needed someone to see him. They let us in and the doctor goes on to ask how my son got the cough in a judgemental way. She didn’t even check him over just looked at his chest for 2 seconds and checked his temp. They call me after I leave and said I forgot a pathology form- I didn’t forget it they never mentioned it so she obviously forgot. The doctor gave me a script for steroid medicine. The following day my son was still quite sick so I took him to emergency where they tell me straight away he has Bronchiolitis and should have never been given steroids for his age. Absolutely appalling by the doctor at this practise. Waste of time and money .

A husband and wife doctor run this practice terribly, DO NOT COME HERE! I understand waiting is inevitable while you are running behind, but this is place is always running behind, I caught these 2 doctors a couple of times coming up from the back stairs at 8:40 while their 1st appointment is at 8:30. What happened today is beyond me. Just came out of my appointment which was at 2:20, I got there on time with no one else waiting in front of me, I was the only patient there. I can see the husband is working at the reception, no sight of his wife, I though she was seeing another patient. It turns out they made me wait for 20 minutes for no reason, she wasn’t with a patient at all, she was just sitting in the office. People with ethics like this shouldn’t allow to become a doctor at all.

Good practice that bulk bills. Clean, easy to book appointments with good opening hours (except Saturdays). I did think it was unprofessional that the receptionist came into the room during my appointment to empty the 2 rubbish bins though. And I do find myself having to remind my doctor of why I came back following week for a recall/results appointment, which makes it feel less personable and under-prepared. Also, I called on Saturday 02/09/23 at 10:45am and they had their voicemail on (closed) but with no option to leave a message so I had to email for a call back (which happened the next day). And as of last night, there is still a message from the end of July saying the practice was closed for a few days. Just a few things could be fixed up so that’s why I can’t give more stars.

booked a longer appointment as I had things I wanted to discuss. Doctor was running 45minutes late, and my consultation was rushed and only took 5 min. I felt the doctor did not listen to me and was uninterested. Left with a script, but was not told what the medication was or if there were any side effects. The chemist gave me more medical advise than the doctor when i picked up my script. Medication didn't make a difference to my problem so I went to a different practice for a second opinion. Turns out the medication I was pescribed was inappropriate. I got a series of tests conducted and reccommended by this other doctor including an MRI all within a week and have now been referred to a specialist. Will not be going back to the Fitzgibbon doctor again.

Called to make an appointment for my 20 month old son who had a cough (and i told them he had a cough). Managed to get an appointment that afternoon and was told to come in at that time. I arrived on time, and was quickly told I had to wear a mask. I didn't have one so they told me to go downstairs and buy one, why aren't they supplying them if its compulsory there? Anyway, the receptionist asked for reason of visit, I said he has a cough, she told me I can't be there and sent me home for a telehealth appointment. Thanks for wasting my time! Telehealth appointment was an hour after they said it would be, and they wouldn't give me a medical clearance for daycare, told me that if the centre manager of daycare doesn't mind then I can take him in...

Worst practice ever! I’m on my first pregnancy and they don’t even reach out/call me when they have received the results for my blood test and ultrasound! I called to check up on my bloodtest results and when I got there, I got asked by the doctor “so what do you need?” Like really?? It felt like she’s not interested to guide/help me out at all! She even got my name wrong. I asked for tips and what food to avoid, she just said that I can eat whatever, just no raw food. (Now I’m with a better GP, she even gave me documents on what to avoid and what to eat, and there’s a lot! Not just raw food!). I asked about what to take other than Elevit as it’s making me sick, she just told me to ask someone in the pharmacy!!! Gosh. I’M NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!

I usually go to a fantastic doctor at Redcliffe but thought I would try here since they bulk billed and were within walking distance from home. I should have read the reviews before going here. The doctor was extremely rude, didn't take me seriously and prescribed me Panadeine forte even though I had already been taking something similar for a week with no improvement. When I requested tests to be done she laughed at me and refused. I had to then insist to which she begrudgingly gave me a referral. I explained to her that my symptoms were extremely abnormal and I wanted to rule out anything serious and she laughed. I will not return to this practice again and would recommend others to go elsewhere.

Not happy, went in to see a doctor this afternoon about my re-occurring tonsillitis, as it only came on again today, and haven't had any relief due to being at work all day. They told me they can't let me in because "I have a sore throat"... like duh that's why I'm here, I have tonsillitis not covid, haven't been anywhere near anybody with covid, like I answered in the questionnaire when booking the appointment. All they could tell me was they couldn't help me, go make a telehealth appointment or see another GP. Wow yes thank you, that's really helpful when I'm looking for appointment at 5:00pm and their isn't any GPs this late in the day. Very disappointing, waste of time and fuel.

As a health professional I was absolutely disgusted by this so called family practice. Firstly the Dr didn’t even introduce herself and then after my daughter had her vaccine (BY THE WAY SHE IS NEEDLE PHOBIC) the other Dr sitting behind computer started laughing. I did say”excuse me this is no laughing matter “ he soon stopped and apologized. My family will never step foot into this practice again. As a mother having a needle phobic child is distressing enough let alone being totally let down by so called professionals that are meant to displaying empathy and sympathy at all times in a situation that is more than needed. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Came to this doctor for my first pregnancy and was disappointed to find out later into my pregnancy that Dr Rasika hadn’t taken me through a lot of the requirements and checkups I needed to get done for myself and my unborn baby. I was referred late to the hospital because she had forgotten. Which then resulted in me having to find another doctor to help inform me more about what I was going through as a first time mum etc. She is emotionless and really seemed dull and unprofessional when I asked for advice with what my body was going through too with all the changes of pregnancy. Would not recommend her at all.

Great Doctors, family owned and operated. Clean medical centre with a quaint children's play area that looks welcoming and clean.the office is very neat and the staff are honestly trying there best for a great customer experience. Yes, you might wait a while to see a Doctor as there is only 2 in the clinic, however when you see them they are kind, empathetic and love what they do (helping Australians at all stages of life). Waiting a long time to see a bulk billed doctor is a normality for our health system, but being seen by someone who genuinely cares is harder to come by. Thank you for being a great local GP

What a terrible experience that just was! As a new patient that has moved from Melbourne with a exemption to wear a mask from my doctor l have seen for over 20yrs was not good enough because it’s not from the clinic itself. Then to be told l can’t be seen without one, but unfortunately they have runout to provide me one, so l should head down to night owl to pay for something l am exempt from wearing due to a medical condition l have.. l have been going to the dentist, Physio, Chiro and not once asked to wear a mask. How disappointing! No wonder why they only have 3.1 stars. Livid is a understatement.

Booked ph consult appointment with lady dr @3.40. but no call received on just waiting .@ 4.20 called back and reminded appointment. But no call back and their medical center closed 5 pm and was waiting till 5.30 pm if any chance she call me. Seriously guys u are playing with patient' s health and emotions, if patient book appointment it means they need medical attention and treatment, u just want to book appointment and make money but no good service and care. Very Very disappointed. I don't know how u got practice license. You deserve 0 star.

I went there on three visits within 1 week for very a painful condition. They diagnosed that I had Acute Sinusitis which they stuck with despite other symptoms that appeared, like my right eye which they said was conjunctivitis, wrong again. I wasted $45 on meds that weren't going to help me that they prescribed. I had to get myself to emergency to get a correct diagnosis, shingles on my optic nerve could have left me blind or dead at the worst. Think twice before you place your trust in this practice. Needless to say I'll won't be going back.

I took my 90 & 94 yr old parents to see DR. RASIKA SUDUSINGHE today as new patients. They have just moved into our home to be cared for and I made an appointment to introduce and start care management. No intro from the Dr, no welcome, no how are you?, for either of my parents! So incredibly impersonal. My mother was appalled. My dad has dementia and didn’t notice. As an RN myself I could not believe the attitude. Never spoke directly to my parents. This is someone who apparently has 25 yes experience in GP medicine!! Thanks but - no thanks!

Not a good GP at all. It seems like all the female physician cares about is going through as many appointments as possible, so she can collect bulk bill payments. Incredibly rude and disrespectful; imagine having the gall to tell me that other patients are waiting (our appointment took 10 minutes) after making me wait 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. The only place her bedside manner would be suitable, is at a morgue. Don't waste your time here, and find a doctor that actually gives you a tiny ounce of their attention.

Probably the worst doctors i've been to in regards to mental health. I had been going for some time and had assumed it was an issue with me, but after having someone come in with me, it's become apparent that Rasika does not know how to handle people with mental health issues. Her bed side manner is terrible, and i've always felt extremely anxious to visit her when i needed help, because i would get talked down to the entire time. If you're looking for a GP to help you with your mental health problems, don't go to this practice.

Had a 1:50 appointment and get in to see the doctor at 2:25, someone of the same race as the doctor with an appointment after mine was pushed ahead of my child. After the consultation I asked if she could see me while k was there only to be told I’d have to see the reception and make an appointment because there were people waiting!? I asked what the difference was when she seen people ahead of my son and and had him waiting extra. Don’t know why I expected anything more really when I read about her husband

The first time I came to this practice was a few years ago. I booked an appointment because I had mental health issues, it was the lady doctor who prescribed me antidepressants straightaway. I found that extremely offensive as I would prefer to build a somewhat rapport with the doctor and find alternative options e.g. referral to counselling. Came here because yes they bulk billed but I am convinced that bulk billing practices are not genuine GPs. Will never go to any bulk billing practice again.

Rasika is an amazing doctor! She is so caring, compassionate, understanding and thorough. She is the best doctor I have ever seen. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease talking about medical issues. I had a medical issue that all other doctors ignored, I mentioned it to Rasika and she sent me for tests, within a week, I was at the hospital getting it checked out. I had discussed this issue with other doctors. Rasika is the ONLY doctor who cared enough to actually help me.

So I booked an appointment today to get my ear flushed with water (I specifically told the girl on the phone I needed it done, and then she told me that would be fine). So when I first walk in to the practice, the guy at the main desk tells me that the nurse is not there and cannot flush my ear, and the doctor can't do it. Why wasn't I told this over the phone? What a waste of time, I only recommend you come to this place if you want a very poor experience.

I had a phone consult booked for 3.50pm which was changed the next day to 4pm and after half an hour no call, I ended up calling them three times before they answered and the receptionist said the doctor was two patients behind. After 5pm (when they closed) still no phone call and tried ringing the clinic but the phone just kept ringing. Finally got a phone call at 6.10pm. Very poor service and it’s not the first issue I’ve had with them..

On a recent visit to Dr Sam I was most impressed with the treatment and service. I found the surgery hygiene very good with due consideration for patients in the waiting room regarding social distancing. My treatment is ongoing and I must admit that I have every confidence my problem will be resolved very soon. I can assure future patients that they will receive the best of attention and treatments from this practice,

The best GP I have seen in Brisbane. I have been a patient along with my whole family not just for illness but for all matters of wellness and check-ups. Dr. Rasika Sudusinghe is caring, listens attentively. She knows your history and follows up accurately. A very non-judgmental approach and a holistic view. Always follows up and makes connections between visits. Could not recommend her more highly. Simply superb!

I rang up to find a fast appt for my sick boy. They had an appt at 12:00, didn't keep us waiting and actually bulk billed us. Lovely Lady Dr, kind, gentle and patient. I have nothing but praise for today. Not a very good experience. The doctor seems uninterested with my concerns. I waited for 20 minutes or so twice but the consultation itself took less than 5 minutes. It felt rushed. The doctor got irritated with the system not working properly during my appointment that she wasn't interested in talking about why i was there in the first place. I don't recommend this place at all.

I always have such a pleasant experience with Dr Rasika. She takes time and care to listen to me, and she is very to the point when it comes to the management of my health issues. I have a lot of trust in her work and her judgement and I find her one of the best GPs I have been to. My whole family goes to her and I trust her wholly with the care of my family. Such an unprofessional people, my Tests were strong there and didn’t bother to call or text me to make an appointment. When I called them and made an appointment on Friday 2nd December, they close their practice and didn’t bother to call or text me. I think they only get 5 star from their workers or relative. Otherwise no way anyone can give me them 5 star, zero from me.

Not a good doctor at all, dont go to them. I needed my stitches taken out but she left a stitch inside. I had a big surgery but her incompetence had made infection come back and i am in severe pain because of her. Plus they charge redicilous $100 just because its sunday. Never seen any doctor charging that amount, ever. Please dont go there, they are rubbish

I usually don’t complain but i feel i should to make sure others donot experience this. I have had multiple visits where I had to wait 60 minutes even though i went 15 mins early to my appointment time. If something can be done to fix this, then I am sure many more will happily come here. The doctors are nice, the receptionist are nice too. Thank you!

Convenient location, but terrible place to seek help… very Blazay with providing health information. Also at this current time masks are not required in hospitals… but Fitzgibbon “family practice” will ask you to wear a mask or to leave… that’s fine but if you were to let us know prior or maybe even provide a mask… that would go along way.

Very very disappointed by the waiting time in this clinic ,every time we needed to wait like more than an hour to be seen by the GP ,and not satisfied with the treatment either . The only thing positive about this practice is the physiotherapist,she is very professional and skilled .i would recommend her for treatment.

Dr Rasika has great communication skills and she provides genuine care to her patients. She actively listens to our concerns and is highly knowledgable. For all the right reasons, she has become our family doctor for more than one year now. Really grateful to have found an amazing GP like Dr Rasika for our family.

Not sure why they schedule you to a timeslot and you are asked to wait for more than 1 hours plus to see the doctor. Even during non peak times as well. So many patients at the clinic were frustrated about the wait time. The receptionist is not friendly and helpful. Please do not come here for any consultation.

The Best Dr. In the town is Dr. Rasika ❤️ I recently had my visit with Dr. Rasika and it was a delight. She immediately made me feel very comfortable She has been my doctor for 10 years now . Dr Rasike is very thorough and considers the long-term aspect of my health. I always have been able to get an appointment very quickly with very little wait. Dr R may sometimes not talk much, but I think this is more about shyness or just focusing on the medical. All staff are very friendly and keen to help.

I went to this doctor to do a health checkup, and during the test he asked me to get down in the floor and do pushups. I put my hands on the floor and started to do this and then he said he was 'joking' and to stop. This came across as extremely unprofessional. I won't be going back. Not recommended.

Rasika is the best doctor I've ever seen. She is caring, understanding and has supported my wife and I with our baby and everything that medically comes with it. She is always smiling and happy and has never made us uncomfortable like so many doctors do. I highly recommend her.

Takes bookings online but doesn't advise their holiday trading hours on automated message. Went to practice twice to find it closed. There was no mention of their holiday hours anywhere. I feel for a practice to still take online bookings when they won't be there is ridiculous.

Wonder where this doctor got her license. Went in as I had developed a strange rash. Asked if it could be meningitis. She laughed and said that meningitis is an infection of the brain, despite the fact an early symptom IS A RASH. Doesn't know basic medicine. Go elsewhere.

I have been seeing Dr Rasika Sudusinghe since moving to Qld 3 years ago. I have always found her to to be very friendly and thorough. Have always found it quite easy to get an appointment and have never had to wait too long. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

My antenatal visits were ok, sometimes the doctor would forget the measure me but otherwise she was good. For my husband the doctor did not diagnose properly resulting in a bad pain The time for each visit is the worst, the doctors are always running late

Rude doctors, 50 minutes I waited not a single person walked in or out of the room. Answered over 20 questions when I get there only for the doctor to ask me the same questions again. Waste of time and effort. Not worth the stress!

Was looking for a new doctor after moving from the CBD. My partner and myself have seen both doctors and we were more than happy with their expertise and professionalism. Now our normal GPS and would highly recommend to anyone.
