Britain, London and of course… Fish & Chips The restaurant was chosen based on finding a ”better” and less greasy alternative for the classic usually newspaper wrapped delicacy. The place was full of locals and awaiting Fulham fans, so it seemed like a right choice. Service: Slow, indifferent and some of the staff seemed like they would rather be literally anywhere else. This was saved a little by the classic British politeness. Once everything was ordered the food did not take long and the drinks came out fast. All in all no real complaints, but the staff didn’t help the cause. Athmosphere/venue: The place is itself was lovely, nothing fancy, but just perfect to uplift the experience for what it was: trying to find great fish & chips. We were seated outside, but the buzz of the Fulham fans from inside could still felt. Love it! Food: Well, it’s fish & chips after all, so how much can you do? As stated earlier the goal was to get a ”less greasy” option. And well… Fishers delivered. It was just right. The fish was huge, succulent and the fried shell just crispy enough, the fries also nailed the softness/crispy ratio and the mushed peas had a great texture and really lifted the rest of the dish. Although, the tartar sauce left something to hope for, but wasn’t bad by any means. Overrall: Would recommend, especially for a meal with friends before a football game!

Really enjoyed our visit here, we got there nice and early around 11:30 ish, hadn’t booked a table but we were quickly seated and the place filled up quickly. Fish was lovely, we both had traditional battered cod and I have to say it rivals even my excellent chippy back home in the south west. The batter is crispy and even the medium size was a big piece of fish. We also had battered halloumi to share which was a bit naughty and decedent. I insisted we have curry sauce (the only appropriate sauce for fish and chips) which was really lovely and thick. Portion was more than enough for one person, my boyfriend had a large serving and struggled to finish it. Food was served hot and had clearly just been prepared. My partner was visiting from the USA and I’d definatly reccomend this place to any tourists wanting to try traditional British fish and chips.

Delicious fish and chips! Had takeaway though the restaurant is so cute would come back to eat in. Fish was delicious, great batter. Chips a tad soggy and the vinegar super weak couldn’t taste it at all. Only other downside was we were served in bags rather than boxes which made eating on the move a bit tricky! Would be 5* if they had a fish/chips/side combo meal (rather than everything separate) and more punchy vinegar/sachets to give away! Sides were also £2.50 which seems quite steep for some peas. Curry sauce okay but a bit thick (though maybe just comparing to the great curry sauce of the north!). Staff weren’t the most friendly though it was the end of a very hot day so let them off! Having said that, would come back again when needing an Al fresco dinner by the river. 3x cod, 3x chips, 3x mushy peas, 2x tartare sauces and 2x soft drinks came to £50

Still the freshest and the best fish and chips anywhere in London. Because of Covid, it took over 2 1/2 years for me to revisit London. And the first restaurant I return to is Fishers. The management uses only the freshest ingredients and knows how to exquisitely coat and season everything it prepares. The cod prepared in the traditional fish and chips fashion has been my favorite. However, this visit I tried the fried cod with Cajun seasoning. And now I have a new favorite. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning provide a nice zing to my culinary enjoyment. I was able to sneak in a second visit this trip and sampled the fried calamari and the angus burger. As with every other dish in the restaurant, they were very well prepared and quite tasty. The 1/4 pound burger for 6 pounds is more than enough to satiate your appetite. But if you have a real big hunger, you can upsize to a 1/2 pound burger for only 1.5 pounds more.

Amazing lil Fish & Chips place! Small place big on taste and portion. Reminds me of the fish and chips from Penny's Palapa's in Nanaimo, (waterfront) Canada. The fish batter was simply amazing; the way a fish batter should be! Would definitely come back here again, highly recommended for fish and chips fan! ♡☆♡☆♡ ThAnK You for the delicious food♡☆♡☆♡ Our server was Super hospitable:) Our lil family of four (with 2 young kids) from Canada were very impressed with the place. Only regret, if you can call it that was forgetting to order 'mushy peas,' and other side orders but we were full with the portion we got and glad we stuck with our orders of 3 fish and chips, chicken nuggets and calamari. The salsa was scrumptious. May very well have to come back for another chippy night:) **unfortunately the pic (outside of restaurant) I loaded here is not of Fishers as I did this review via my small phone. Haven't eaten there (yet) but thought it was a charming place from the outside when I took the photo.
they forgot to box our food :( so we went home empty handed. i went here in person and ordered 2 fish and chips. turns out we weren’t that hungry so we only had a couple bites and asked for the rest to be packed up. they took our plates away to do this. after a long wait they came with the card machine but they forgot to bring our food. the wait was so long that we ALSO forgot we asked to box our food! so we went home with no food and only realised once we got home. very annoying as we paid for 2 full meals which we barely touched and ended up with nothing. obviously we forgot too - but it is the restaurants responsibility to bring us back our food after we asked for it to be boxed!

This place does really nice food, I love everything I’ve tried there. I work around the corner from this place, every time I order food from this place, my colleagues all come and dip into my chips! But that’s not to worry about because the small portion of chips is way too much for one person anyway so it’s nice you have enough to share! If you like the McDonald’s Fillet of fish burger, then I recommend you try their cod burger..this burger is a lot bigger and tastes 10 better than the fillet of fish You can either sit inside to eat or order take away. Also available on Uber eats for collection :)

The best Fish and chips I’ve had on my travels. That’s from Cornwall to Scotland and all over Europe. The fish was as thick as your forearm and just as tasty( I’m assuming forearms are tasty, I haven’t had one). The batter was unbelievable but believe me it was unbelievable. If you’re in the area , by that I mean northern hemisphere, you must go and have their fish and chips you will not regret it. Hats off , in fact all my clothes off to this fine establishment and I’m now wandering around back here in AU searching for an equivalent, will I find one? I hope so, gets a bit expensive travelling that far for a fish supper, do you deliver?

I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish suppers we had at Fishers in Fulham, in fact, I would probably go so far as to say it's one of the best fish suppers I've ever had. The cod was fried to perfection and was 100% free of grease. It was so soft that it melted in the mouth. It was clearly of extremely good quality, and the chips had the perfect balance between crispy and fluffy. The waitress who served us was very pleasant. The reason I've had to deduct a star is because the interior is quite cramped and slightly dated, but I'd recommend anyone who finds themselves in Fulham to pay this place a visit.

I have been to Fisher's many times but this time I was disappointed. I ordered large fish and chips for two of us. The fish was large but the portion size for the chips was laughable. I don't know if it's changed hands since I was last there but they used to give decent portions. The fish was very good, the batter was perfect, I can't complain about it at all. We also had mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce, both were great. It was fairly expensive, £47 for two lots so the portion size felt like an insult, really

One of my favourite local place! I went there many times and the best fish and chips I had in London! I recommend reservation if you want to sit at the restaurant, otherwise perfect for take away or delivery. The service is really good! Staff very thoughtful and friendly! I once went on a date and the waiter was so caring, we felt like a very fancy restaurant! ❤️ And the food is always fresh! Fresh fish deep fried on the order! I would always recommend that place for fish and chips with my flatmates.

Friendly fast service. The shrimp in the prawn app were battered in house. They were killer. Freshly cut thick fries were unbelievable. The star of the dish was the Cod. It was a thick filet with juicy tender chunky big flakes. The batter shell crispy and tasty. It was excellent. Tartar sauce was made in house and was marvelous. No liquor being offered, just nonalcoholic beer. Come check them out.

We had dinner for take away tonight and it was one of the best fish and chips we ever had. The cod fish taste so good and it was a good quality too, tartare sauce was good and chips was yummy chunky but not oily. The portions are huge and very well priced,m and affordable. Customer service was excellent as well. The place itself was very clean which is a bonus.

Fishers is a sweet little place with a limited number of tables. The service was very good, while the restaurant was fully booked for that evening. We were lucky to get a table for 2 because another couple did not show up. Me and my wife ordered 2 portions of the large cod with a house salad as a side dish. And it was amazing. Perfectly flacky fried fish. Would totally come back here for another round of fish and chips.

AMAZING! I was there few days ago and it was an unforgettable experience. The waitress is really kind and polite, the chefs work really, really well, the owner is a wonderful person and also a great chef too. The food...left me speechless. Never tried a so good and tasty fish and chips. The fried things were carefully dried and the dessert after, SUPERB. When I’ll go back to London it will be for sure the first place where I’ll go to eat
Came in with groupon voucher the second time, last time we tried their steamed skate which tasted smooth as hell, we couldn't stop eating them! The sharing platter was very good as well, everything was up to high standard. Today we had the traditional one, it was the best fish and chips we've ever had, batter was light and chips were not soggy at all, they made their own tartar sauce which tasted fantastic! Customer service is always good!
Very nice restaurant, and a perfect introduction to fish and chips for a foreigner. The cod itself was very well cooked, the fries were not very crispy but still delicious and the mayo sauce was also tasty. The restaurant inside was very small and dimly lit but still pretty cozy. Overall, it was very nice.

The absolute best meal I've had in London. The food was fresh, the portions were huge, the prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and funny, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. But most importantly the meal was amazingly delicious! I didn't even bother to take pictures of the homemade fish cake or slaw but trust that it was divine! I was too busy stuffing my face at that point to bother with the camera. Truly a great meal!
I thought I would give this place a try since I had free time on a Sunday before work. When I arrived, the queue was out the door so that was a good sign. I'm glad I waited. Had the Haddock and chips. This is one of the best fish and chips shops in London. I ended up visiting twice in the same week, the second time trying the homemade fish cake. Also very well cooked and perfectly seasoned. Absolutely worth the trip to the restaurant.
It's really good fish and chips. Especially when you dine in and especially if you take advantage of their deals. However it's definitely not the best fish and chips when traveling/takeaway. Given the prices as well, I would expect closer to perfection

Delicious fish :) crounchy on the outside and mouthwatering on the inside. We came to London for two days and decided to travel to the restaurant from east London - it has turned out definitely worth it. We came back on the second day. What is more, the Chef (Man in glasses) is extremely passionate and delivers exceptional service. Jeśli chcecie zjeść pyszną rybę w bardzo dobrej cenie to koniecznie warto odwiedzić tę restauracje.
Food : 5 stars Staff : 5 stars Value for money : 5 stars. Atmosphere: 4 stars. It’s a very small place , probably works most on take away rather than sitting restaurant and the tables are right in front of the kitchen where all the smell of fried fish comes out and you can hear the sizzling of they frying pan ! Could use a mini makeover. Other than that , great place. Also has a small sitting area outside (2 small tables )
I recommend booking a table here due to small capacity. Large portions! I'm not keen on batter but Fishers' batter is thin and crispy. They'll also steam your fish if you prefer. Ladies toilet wasn't very clean the day I visited.

This little restaurant in Fulham has one of the best fish and chips you can find in London. The fish is cooked after you order it, same as the fries, and it comes to the table with the right level of crunchiness. In addition, I found my meal quite tasty and perfectly cooked as it didn’t have any extra oil in the fish breading. Finally, the portion of the large cod was really abundant.
We came back after 5 years from our first visit and food is still amazing if not ever more tasty than we remembered. The Classic cod with fries is 10/10 in every possible way - juicy fish with crispy breading. Fries just perfectly done. The place should get a Michelin award for fish and chips! We love it :-)

I recommend if you want less breading and also, this breading is very light you could go either way and be just as happy, do skin on you'll cut out half the batter and you can just take the fork and scoop off the fish from the skin and it makes the fish much more juicy and flavorful. The prices are spot-on, the service is great and the options are plentiful.

Oh! My! God! Traditional cod witch chips, deep fried to perfection! Home made tartare sauce (it's should be an obligatory side to all the dishes served in this establishment) - to die for! I have not had such an amazing f&c in a very long time (licking the plate was a close consideration). Sensational quality of food served and cheerful staff. A must have if you are in the area.
I wanted something different today, something not coming out of my kitchen so I explore the options either to have a Pizzeria or a fish and chips and the latter sounded great so I looked on Google for some suggestions in the local and this sounded a better option but when I finally got my order, it was unbelievable what came out leave alone the staff services.
This place it's not only one of the cutest and warmest place you can land yourself in, but it also has one of the best fish&chips in west London. The food is very tasteful and of great quality, portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. The service is very nice and welcoming. I definetly recommend it and I will go back first chance I get! :)

Excellent fish and chips, amongst the best I’ve had. I would imagine it to be takeaway favourite, although the place itself is prominently located in Fulham high street. Cosy with a only a few tables but done up nicely in blue and fish theme. Staff is nice and on a weekday afternoon, I had lovely cod with loads of chips in peace!
Fish was fine and tasty. Chips are way too thick and soggy with not much flavour, we also unfortunately found a hair in the chips. Coleslaw was 3.5£ and was three bites, way too much cracked pepper.

Nice small place with great service. Had the cod burger and it was rather good. Quite reasonably priced and with an okay portion(would have liked the fish to be slightly larger or a bit more chips) but very satisfying nonetheless. Friendly staff which gives it a cosy and homely feel. Would definitely visit again.
Great service! The cod fish fingers were both cooked to perfection. very reasonable lunch prices! They offer wifi to guests. The restaurant has very limited tables so i recommend you reserve a table if you want to go at a busy time. Overall very satisfied! Paid a total of 27.25£ for 2 people including 2 beers
Very good place. It is quite small, you will have to squeeze a little bit. Most of the tables are for 4 and there is a room for special occasions. But it is a warm and welcoming place. dishes are huge and not expensive at all. The owners are friendly, chatty and very welcoming. We will definitely come back
Amazing fresh fish, bountiful portions and really lovely staff. The lunch time deal is especially generous for only £6 to eat in. The only thing that stops me giving five stars is that I think the chips might be pre made. They are still nice but not as good as a fresh cut chips. Happy to stand corrected.
Being from the US we wanted to try some fish and chips from London, after googling many places we decided to try this spot. I can't say enough the service was great and the fish and chips were fantastic. it was a drive from where we were at but it was worth it. Would eat here again anytime i come back.

We ordered a cod and a haddock. Both are great! And the portion was so big that I could only finish half of it, so I had to take away the remaining half. I would say worth to go again!

OMG the fish and chips here were AMAZING! We stopped in after a football match and the place was full, a nice young lady brought an extra chair outside to a table to we could eat there. So glad we stopped. 5+ stars!!
Best F&C in london I have eaten so far! The tartar sauce was on point too! Lovely!! The food took a little bit longer. Since it's so delicious, defo worth for the wait! The waitress was really friendly as well!
I've never had a bad meal there. Portions are generous and reasonably priced too. The scampi and sweet potato fries are good. Must try their skate one day.

Excellent fish BUT rubbish palm oil overcooked chips / off the shelf sauces for a premium fulham price.. good but unfortunately like other neighbours rather overrated (see you papa cica and putney pies!)
The fish and chips was fantastic but the mushy peas stole the show. All in all a fantastic meal and even better conversation with the owner. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town for a Fulham match
The second visit,I ate cod. This was very delicious and fresh. The best dish in my life! The people were so kind and friendly

best fish and chips!! Took a bus 30 minutes away to come here with my wife. Wow so amazing. Price is reasonable and portion is HUGE!!!! taste very fresh and tender. Must eat if you come to London!!!
Great tasting fish and chips served in a lovely little venue or to take away. Had Rock for the first time much better than standard cod and a nice glass of wine. Could be a new pre match tradition!
Had fish with a very close friend we both ordered traditional cod and chips cleanliness was ok but not perfect , staff weren’t the most attentive but was satisfactory, food wasn’t wow but good .
It's a chippie that's not bad value. But the burgers are no good. Staff don't seem to know much either

We are from the US, and when we got to London, this was our first stop to eat. GREAT food, and the staff was amazing. Before we left London we had to go back for a second time! More
