Hands down best fish and chips shop I've ever been to and one been to many. If England wanted a flagship place to buy fish and chips this is it. It's been a while since we went here after moving home a year ago, but my have we noticed the difference even after leaving and having fish and chips elsewhere. Both before we found this shop years ago and after we left it being our local, we've not found any fish and chips shop to beat the taste. Service is excellent as always. Today my wife and I had plaice and chips; the kids having chicken and chips, and sausage and chips respectively. If you live near and like quality food don't even bother looking for another place.

OK First things first this is one of the best multi food takeaways that I have had the fortune to visit. The staff have great knowledge and passion for the products that they sell, service for takeaway is within a reasonable period of time(usually no more than a minute). The portions are massive and for the money I had double batterd sausage and regular chips (although there would have been plenty for two people) and it only cost £6 bargain these days. Now the eat in side was well kept all the empty tables were clean and the floors were cleaned no sticky patches. If you are in the area please go and visit this restaurant/ takeaway I personally can't wait until I'm back in Orpington to visit here again.

My mum has always rated this fish and chip shop. Intact most of Orpington High Street seems to rate them, too, lol. I can see why. The portions are great. The fish is a generous size, and the chips dont taste like they're cooked in stale oil. I ordered chicken and chips. I didn't think the chicken would taste as good as it did, but the seasoning was lovely. I will definitely order from them again. Lovely staff, too.

We have been going to the crispy cod regularly as a family. Great atmosphere, very clean and reasonably priced. Great choices on the menu, something for everyone. My children love the milkshakes and fried halloumi. It’s a family run business that take pride in what they do, I can’t recommend anymore

Ordered the fish and chips for my Grandma and me online as I left work. I was held up in traffic so was a bit concerned when I arrived the fish and chips would be all sweaty and cold waiting for me, but nope, the owner had them all ready and waiting on the hot plate. I walked through the door, my fish and chips were served up and I was walking out 30 seconds later. Far more importantly, the fish itself was possibly the best I've ever had and the chips were cracking too. Top marks, great value, cracking meal and innovative use of technology.

Food was so nice I didn't have chance to photograph it . Also I eat food I don't stand around like a dimlo taking that perfect shot. The guy there was so happy and attentive and as we spent quite a bit on food, he threw in some drinks. He will be bankrupt soon

I've been going in there you 16 years, always good quality food & friendly staff, however I'll never go in there again! I often order the "Large Cod" which is usually at least as long as the plate if not over hanging it! great. On my last visit again I ordered the "Large Cod", which was so small it could be hidden under ten chip's! So glad this is our local Fish & Chip shop. Been to quite a few around but still this services the best Fish & Chips. The fish is crispy and the chips are generous. The staffs are friendly and they make you feel welcome. There's nothing bad I can say about the place apart from it needs an air conditioning if you are to sit down and eat. Saying that the weather recently be stupidly hot and that can't be helpes. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Where do I begin? These are most likely the nicest people you will ever meet. In all the years that I have been going here, I have never once even heard of anyone having less than a stellar experience. The food is perfectly cooked, the drinks ice cold and the environment always warm and welcoming with a wonderful menu filled with delicious items! Truly above and beyond! I can't recommend it more! Excellent fish and chips. The best in the area I've tasted. Excellent kid option too. Excellent scampi. Nice friendly service. They truly listen to what you need. Thank you. One disadvantage is parking is a bit harder but carry on driving past crispy cod out of the high street and hopefully find some street parking around the corner. But it's definitely worth the trouble. We'll be back

My family and I absolutely love going here. The food is great quality at a low price and they offer a huge range of food. They have all the classic fish and chip shop foods (cooked to a very high standard) but also have some great wraps (the halloumi wrap is great!). To top it all off, the guys that ran the shop are absolutely lovely, work very quickly and offer great customer service. Can not recommend this enough!

Crispy cod lives up to its name. A really light crispy crunchy batter covering large good quality fish thats fried in clean oil. Ive lived nearby for many years but never tried them. This is far the best i know for miles around. First place i visit when back from holiday. Takaway sit in and delivery service available. Called in again with a friend same amazing quality quantity.

Loved the takeaway so we came back for a dine in service. Friendly staff, food still as good, fried chicken is better than KFC. Unfortunately, curry sauce didn’t make the cut. It was not completely dissolved hence too watery. And they should have proper tartare sauce to go with that great piece of fish. The packet ones are just a no-no. Would we come back? Yes

Best Fish & Chips we’ve had. Now our regular place and although we’ve moved from Orpington, if we fancy Fish & Chips we make the 15 min drive to Orpington as all local Fish & Chips we’ve tried were a disappointment (in comparison). Also, the staff at Crispy Cod are welcoming and friendly and the new seating comfortable which makes for a pleasant evening out.

The fish was crisp, hot, and delicious. Grilled cod w cabbage salad is a great choice! The Latte was great! Lunch Service was good. Unfortunately, the hot chips were plentiful but not as crispy as I prefer and a bit of a disappointment. I suppose we could have asked for crispier!

The chicken is really so spot on omg. We came when they were about to close so they only had like 2 chickens left but we still enjoyed em and the burgers were so lit! We even received sausages for free. The staff were really very accommodating and we had a great time to cap out day. Definitely gonna order the bucket chicken soon! Come visit!

Fairly ok place to eat at. Chips are ok at times and are not the best at other times. Friendly polite staff. English needs to be enhanced. Sometimes they do disappoint with the quality of cooking. But they do try to please as best as they can. Best to order in advance if your in a rush.

I ordered one large and one standard fish and chips. The fish was dry and the batter was rock hard, most of it went in the bin. I won't be buying anything from there again.

Really great fish and chips, parking near by is difficult and you have to pay at the machine for parking. I had cod and my partner had sausage and chips, both really good and cooked fresh. Would recommend sharing the chips though as you get a huge portion

First time eating from here. Wanted fresh chips and cod. They cooked my cod fresh so it was still hot by the time I got home. Tasted delicious. I'll be going back.
