Fiesta always have weekly sales starting from Wednesday to Tuesday. You can pick up a copy of their advertisement at the store entrance to the right. Their sale prices are decent but you have to shop early in the cycle in case they run out. I love the bulk meat family pack because they're just a great deal, and cheaper than at Wal-Mart, who supposed to be the price leader. They also have special buy discount on selected item at half sale. They do carry ethnic dry and can goods too. This place has the best whole watermelons, the sweetest red sangria type with seeds. I bought some that were 20" long and almost a foot wide. The darker the green stripes are, the redder and sweeter the flesh. To pick the fresh one, you tap lightly with your hand. If the vibration bounces back, it's fresh. If it's absorbed, it's old. They have a service counter which is very convenient. You can send money, cash checks, buy phone cards, pay utility & home internet & cable bills, and even renew auto registration. I got mine done within 4 minutes max at the desk after about 7 minutes waiting in line with 2 people working behind the counter. It was done during the weekday in early evening and believe it or not, it was $5 cheaper than at the tax offices, not to mention between 60 to 120 minutes wait at those locations regardless of what day of the week that you go. The consensus I'm getting from people is that you either love this place or you hate it. People give 1 star are usually content in the past and after just 1 recent undesirable experience made them changed their opinion. Overall, I give this place a solid B.
It says they are open til 11pm online on all the stores and on the doors it says closes at 9pm and i saw customers in another store at 10pm. I actually try to never give bad reviews on anything. But this was wrong. If someone ran out of something important and had only a 30min time window ti run and get it and they were counting on what information they were given on line. Thats just wrong on too many levels. It only takes less than a min. To change it online . I bet who ever was too lazy to adjust this would be crazy upset if it was a close person that was having an emergency like had a bad cutt gushing blood and couldn't go to the er and this store was the only place close they had to count on. But someone didn't feel like it. Seriously...I'm extremely disappointed. Laziness is just a person who has never been threw enough hard times and has no empathy.
The prices may be good but the meat is damaged. Not good it is so obvious that the meat is already bad but reducing the price is the right thing to do vs throwing it out. When speaking to staff at the meat department I was told the meat was like that. I asked for the manager and his staff came over she insulted me saying I didn't know anything about meats and Mike the store manager didn't say a word. He let her talk to his customers this way. His excuse was he didn't understand but clearly spoke Spanish to another customer. Don't get meats in here it is not safe. I'm filing an official complaint with the FDA and will push to escalate it to the news. They take advantage of people that have low income and push out their bad and expired food to them. This is not right.
The store had power outage from the storm and the frozen section was closed off.. ok I understand that.. so I got a few other items and went to check out and the young cashier was complaining the entire time.. How this place don't give us our breaks and while complaining to another cashier while I was standing right there instead of sayin hello to me continue to talk to the other employee over me.. didn't say hello once it was my turn to pay or anything.. I didnt even get a total for my things I bought and shoved the receipt in my face and started with the next customer before I could even get my bags off the belt.. I will not go back and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE..
Great place for any food you may like to cook. Different meats, fish ( unfortunately what's live not well cared for. Could stand to be compassionate before letting them suffer more) I'm animal lover and dont eat any for 30 years now) man who serves fish very nice. Said yes, "they attack one another in their aquariums." Sad! Mostly ran by Mexicans who have very little compassion for any animals. I know. I lived in Mexico and Venezuela. Otherwise Fiesta's a very complete and clean supermarket. Prices are also very fair except for pet food which is more expensive than Walmart.
I've been going there for years to pay bills and to get my registration sticker and today I said to myself I have to write a review. Every time I go they have this poor mexican lady doing the work of like 4 people at this window the line for this services is like a mile long every time, like if fiesta wasn't making enough money to pay an other 8 dollar an hour person to help her I ask to talk to the manager but he really didn't want to talk to me I hope enough people see this and do some justice to this poor lady as for me I will no longer support this business.
Great produce deals every Wednesday! That alone is worth the trip! Impressive seafood market complete with live fish and shellfish. Huge assortment of ethnic foods not available in other stores. I expected the exemplary assortment of Hispanic foods.... i was blown away by the asian, Jamaican, cuban, indian specialties offered. Granted, thevstore itself is old and worn, poorly lit and needs a good coat of paint and elbow grease.... get past the 1st impression and enjoy the offerings.
They only had three cashiers, no 10 items or less...people with over loaded carts, folks cutting lines, dirty fresh fish tanks.... and the parking lot,,,, full of people trying to sale something or parked any kind of way. This was in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. It used to be better. To top it off, the cashier says " workers didn't show today soooo you probably should have come early "!!! Really .. All the meat in the meat market looked tainted. I hope it gets better soon.
Check the dates on anything you buy!!!! I bought butter that expired 6 months ago! I have gotten their premade salsa and guac that was packaged 10 days prior to the date I bought it and the unit they keep them in is NOT cold enough to leave things out for 3 days, much less 10. Lemons left in their bin covered in mold. They very obviously don't care at all and dont check or rotate stock and are going to make someone really sick one day. I'm afraid to shop here for anything.
Fiesta Mart is a great place for specialty cuts of meat, especially any Mexican-style preparations you can think of. They have an awesome bakery with both Latin- and American-style favorites, and I LOVE their very likely complete selection of Goya products. The store is neat and well-maintained, and the staff, very friendly and helpful. If you are a real foodie, you can't afford to miss the complete shopping experience at Fiesta Mart.
*Look for the EXPIRY DATE* My last time there, we didn't notice the expiration date on an international soda. We took it to a baby shower! Just when we had 2 cans left that I had one- the taste was different (like alcohol) and I looked the expiration date: 08/2017. So, we are in 07/19... it doesn't kill you, but luckily the pregnant woman did not drink it. They need to clean their store and be sure to make a sale before things expire.
I don't remember Fiesta being like this! Or maybe it's just THIS location. The smell of the store was a sign that I should have turned around and ANYWHERE else. However, I continued on...looking for something worth being there for at this point. The smell got worse.. The selection was a hit or miss as for as produce goes. Pricing was ok... The meat section was very.. Sad like I really felt sad. So, if there was a 0 I'd give it that.
Very unprofessional and very rude manager with racial issues. Store has workers in front approach for job hire and I bought SOMETHING with incorrect price of WHOLE SIDE she said someone put there 20 pieces incorrectly. WALK OUT OF THE STORE VERY VERY BAD EXPIRIENCE...She void transaction and asked for items she put in bag in front of her making it look like I took it asking me almost to check my purse.DISCASTING...
Really enjoy coming to this location. The guy in the meat department was so helpful when I attempted to place my order in Espanol. I wasn't quite pleased with the mean old lady making pupusas at the exit location though. My daughter asked her a question several times and she ignored us so a customer answered us instead. But she answered him. She left a bad taste in my mouth. And she understood us very well
I went there to have lunch. The waiting line was slow. Only one person serving a number of people. I had a Carne Asada plate. It was delicious, which made me forget that I had to wait 15 minutes to get the food. I went to compliment the cook and was mocked for my compliment. What makes me angry is that I purchased a pound of the Carne Asada to take home with me. I will not be coming back to this place.
I have been coming here for a while now. It has everything I want, and for good prices. They have some assortment of things from different cultures and not just Mexican. I buy some of my West African food, like pounded yam, soup ingredients here. Staffs are really great, they actually try to have a good conversation with you! I recommend it. But of course, there's always chance for upgrade
Customer service is terrible. went straight home after purchasing meat and put it in the refrigerator. Today it stinks terrible. After waiting a LONG time the lady told me to go to register 6. Another long line. Frustrated! By the way, there are 15 people in the customer service line now. There are two people working the line. Once finally got through the second line they exchanged.
Coming from a Latino background, I love shopping here since I can find a lot of things I wouldn't be able to find at the other usual markets that I shop at. I always make sure to pick up a few bottles of glass bottle Cokes from Mexico (which tastes better in my opinion due to them using cane sugar instead of corn syrup). I shop here about once or twice every two weeks.
The main thing I like about this store is that it has people running the cash registers. I know I'm a little behind the times but I hate self checkout. This store doesn't have any . It's clean and never had a issue with anyone being rude or pissing me off. They are a little high on there stuff but it's ok. I will continue to shop their because it's close.
Yes I know its thanksgiving... Yes I know stores close early...but it would of been nice if fiesta had signs outside stating what time they closed today. The older guy just kept trying to lock the doors instead of saying we are closed. Its raining and I'm outside with my kids thinking its open....never had a problem here....just a thought put signs.
First and last time visiting this location store was very clean items easy to find but very under staffed no way only 4 lines open and every line was all the way to the meat department I just went in for cornbread mix easy hour in line smh I feel bad for the cashiers that’s just being over worked and i’m sure under payed during the holidays
I have had good experiences at this Fiesta. The staff is friendly and cool. I find that the food prices are generally quite reasonable. Of particular.interest to me is the propane refills which are $14.99 if you bring an empty container ro swap out. This is the cheapest I have seen anywhere. Me gusta fiesta y voy mucjas veces por semana.
You know that feeling when you have a real craving for something and when you finally get it, it’s not what you expected? I was very unsatisfied with the pupusas. It was all masa and barely any chicharrón and queso. I was so upset I threw it away. I do like the store though. They need to have more cashiers.
This store is okay but doesn't take COVID-19 guidelines (sanitation, distancing, masks) as seriously as the store on Abrams and Skillman. Saw one employee stocking without a mask and another who did not cover their nose. This store also doesn't help customers remain 6 ft apart while waiting in line.
I actually TOOK someone there. I like it for their meat and anything I like that they have on sale. The person I took made the statement, 'this is my place for meat!!' ☺Since Walmart stopped matching other store sale ads, I'm back to making rounds to other stores as well as Walmart. …
Not my favorite supermarket (I prefer Kroger and Randall's/Tom Thumb) but they do have good churros at low prices. Auntie Anne's at Galleria mall always gets my order wrong, so I'll go here instead for the churros. They're much cheaper here anyways (and just as good, if not better).
Convenient to whereninlive. Walking distance. Large selection. Inatw at the taqueria and had a beef fajita plate it was good. Later in the day sonthebveefbwasnanlittle tough but the flavor was great. Had a watermelon Fresca which was very good. I will come back again to try more
Here is where to go on your lunch break and get your tags for your car..And when you forget to take something out for dinner. Here is the spot. Jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined. Just ten a pound. In and out in a flash. Heat the grill up we are having seafood grilled tonight..
This time Fiesta was very good and clean. There was no horrible smell like it was a couple yrs ago. I bought fresh produce. I also noticed they have lots of meats - who is interested. I dont eat meat so I cannot say if it was good or bad. Gas station has good prices as well.
Horrible disgusting place to shop at. All the meat and produce is horrible. Dirty store, horrible management. Prices are always wrong. The creepiest men shop there and a group of men is always standing outside making it tense and not at all a safe environment. Hated it
Janoshia the cashier has a horrible attitude, miscounted the items. When I had told her I had placed 12, she hands me the bag and asks me if I want to count with a nasty tone. Then proceeds to input 21 avocados when I bought two, so who really can’t count?
it's ok!!! not so fan of this location!! and i will bot recommend to buy fish over there!! there was two dead fishes in the thang , rotten already!!!! i told to a guy that works there and he just say!!! ok.. i will say to someone else. and keep walking .
Jose great job The store looks great. I have lived in the area for over 15 years. And if I tell you this is the clean and neat I have ever seen the store. New clean carts. When I walked in hadn't been in a long time. I was like wow. Talk
It's a hidden gem. It's compared to a medium sized Walmart but better. It is clean and organized inside and plenty of room for customers to walk around and follow the 6ft protocol for coronavirus . I was able to go in and shop without other
Very good tacos and horchata. One of the women who make the pupusas in the lobby does not like white people and will make them very thin pupusas while the Mexicans in line before and after them get thicker ones. Have seen it more than once.
I went in on a Saturday at 5 PM. There were three cashiers. Each cashier had a line about 10 to 12 customers deep. Sorry but I’m not going to wait 15 to 20 minutes when I’m shopping for just a few items. I walked out and went to Kroger.
This place is my day today grocery store I buy everything from here not the clothes every food everything I need from here so I like this place I'm about to give him five plus five star and this is the best place for mine and my family
This fiesta trip was awful for example the cashier selenedoes not hurry and she takes whatever customers she wanted and closes and open her register worst fiesta seafood employees are great :) they treat me nicely but Selena ugh >:/
Never more than two cashiers working. The lines usually extend all the way down Isles. And checking out is the least a 30-minute process. They do run pretty good specials however at this location they do not offer rain checks
The Manager It was not polite. There are not professional in Goettl . I think the name it was braba.I’ll not go to that store nomore everything is good the Fruit in the Cashiers are nice and friendly good customer service
They are very helpful if you need anything just ask them. Tonight I was looking for the blue Gatorade frost . It must be the favorite of everyone. I didn't see it on the shelf. But I asked and they found some in the back.
I love their fresh made bread and home made flour tortillas, always clean, the times I been there, even over the weekends out check outs are prompt and pleasant, always spend less money on here then whenever Wal-Mart.
Would do less stars if possible because they never have enough cashiers. I dread to have to come in this store. I spend more time in line than I do shopping. This store should have better customer attention.
I like this place because I can find the things I need more quickly and less expensively than the Walmart or the Major branded stores. It is a happy medium, and it's right in the neighborhood. Win win!
Best Mexican products, and great prices. I also ate lunch at a great price. Gordita, , salsa was delicious, best ever. And the refreshing waters, with fruit is so good. Try them for lunch. 6$ not bad!!
the bakery section in the morning hardly or does not have bread ready. Cashiers look like they all hate being at work, bad mood impressions, they are not friendly at all. bakery is the worst section.
Man this store used to be stocked good now a days its like they missing everything. Had to go hunting for a shopping cart took 10 minutes to find one fiesta yall need to step yalls game up seriously
One of the workers went out of her way to get a grocery basket for us. She was really kind. Another store worker walked to the aisle with me when I asked for bread. Comfortable store environment.
Found some good home grown produce, but a little pricey compared to grocery store prices! But homemade goodies and crafts were available as well! Much smaller version of Dallas Farmer's Market!
Rushed in there for plantains but didn't find any surprisingly. Was also looking for frozen corn but didn't find the kind I needed. But I'm sure the have all the basic things of their brand.
Stinks by their raw meat section they dont properly store raw meat i do not recomend anything from the deli however the overall cleanliness of the store and prices are decent for the area
Love this store ♥️ to bad I don't live near it anymore but when I'm around that side of town I have to stop and restock on some of their things great employees from my experiences …
This store is very slow at checkout lines. There produce is old. I bought a cabbage and when i cut into it the whole cabbage inside was brown. I will not come to shop at fiesta any more.
They have nice cuts of ox tails and sell Jamaican beef patties. They always have beef ribs for holidays. The lines can be long later in the day but the morning crew is pretty efficient.
Love Tres Leche Cake? They sell two huge slices(enough for four servings) for $4.66!!!! Screaming deal!!!! I hope that the pic.of one of the slices will be included with this review.
Plenty of very fresh produce... some is even too fresh. Great Mexican food with a small watery inside and snacky kiosks inside and outside of the store. Family-friendly environment.
Fiesta I'd one of the best markets I have shopped at. Alwaus, well stocked with what I want, good produce, friendly staff, terrific prices. I recommend them highly. Rick Danna
Mr Todd is a keeper been in the business for years. Come from where I retired from 15 years old school Albertsons grocery when Mr Albertsons was living. Old lake Highlands
This place is mainly for Mexicans but when i went there they made me feel like I had every right to shop there. Lol but the employees made the place a friendly atmosphere
The pan dulce is amazing it could use a bit of a better bread maker because sometimes the pan has the delicious buttery flavor and other times it's just sweet and bland
I like the variety of foods, you may never see these foods in an average store...& Thursday was a great day to shop..early, it was quiet & plenty of cashiers..
Always crowded hard to find parking but good deli cookies.. pastry type and good prices on meat and veggies.. Other stuff is pricey but staff is always nice
Yesterday I experienced a very very bad experience with security. Not cool. Stereotyped and was super rude. The Easter 2022 Weekend Really SMH issues …
This is only like the third time I have been to this store. They are a little pricey and they need more cashier's I waited in line for about 20 minutes.
Went to get my registration sticker. M - F, 12 noon - 1 pm cash only. It's quick, convenient and great friendly service. Also there hot food is amazing!
They got a guy selling cars on their parking lot that I bought a car from and broke down and they continue to allow him to sell junk cars on on their
The food not as good looking anymore and more expensive and the seafood still ok but liked it better when they had the saw to cut the fresh fish.
Sometimes not enough clerks for the customers..but always polite . A very clean and happy environment. I would give 6 stars for the employees.
Great prices on meat. Store layout not what I an used to, so missed the pet food section. Overall, will be returning for their meat section.
Place is ok. Just had to wait a hour n a half for the person to get back for my inspection sticker. But line was short employees were nice.
Store is always clean and well stocked with good prices. Staff is always there to help and the hot case and meat department are excellent.
Lines are too long I always have two people working no matter it's a busy Saturday or a weekend they need to hire more people as cashiers
They have great, fresh food at really good prices, especially during sales. I like coming here to get things I can't find anywhere else.
The FIESTA on Garland Rd was excellent. It was clean, shelves stocked, and no long lines. Driving the few extra miles was well worth it.
Love their fresh meats counter ,& fresh fruit & bread Majority of their supplies are fresh not too many frozen foods for a good price
Overall store experience has been excellent. Customer service has been awesome friendly employers very knowledgeable very clean store
I don't like meat here but they have some good sales, bakery and homemade tortillas. Lots of items you don't find at other stores.
The facility is clean and organised. The staff working today wasnt friendly at all though. Good food options and it smells great!
Some good deals on meat and produce other than that most items are overpriced. Lines are super long due to only 4 lines open.
Exactly what you expect from a Fiesta (food wise). The store is also very clean and the fruits and vegetables are fresh.
Best Fiesta I’ve been to in awhile. Clean and has more products in stock than some others. Definitely worth the trip.
Always a great produce department and kind, caring employees and a speedy checkout. The other customers are fun too.
This grocery store has no more sackers .you have to bag your own groceries. I don't like bagging my own groceries!
Nice friendly, family, business. Good customer service. I would recommend it if you didn't already know the place.
Wide variety of products and affordable. I can walk in with $10 and buy 2 meals worth of groceries easily.
It is very organized and clean well maintained and great customer care, services and support.
Good clean and friendly store to go.also cheap as long as you stay off the chip aisle, LOL
where i bought 10 bottles of trappeys hot sauce b4 i left cuz they dont have it here
Store was very clean and the two associates I spoke with were helpful and friendly.
Great place good prices but cashiers need more experience and more smiley faces!
Huge store with its own gas station and convenience store off to the side!
Good prices for these crazy economy, fresh products, and good food.. …
Way cheaper then your Walmart and never had a problem
Nice place to find your Latino in Mexico foods
Great variety of everything needed.
Good Place Great Price Good Food
