Disgusting ownership, and disgusting treatment of staff. Please avoid supporting such a horrible store and absolutely avoid applying for work there. In 2018 I worked for Chemist Outlet, and it was the absolute worst place I have ever worked. The owner of the store, Rabia, is one of the rudest and most ignorant people I've ever met and treats the staff like misbehaved children and with no respect or trust what so ever. The staff had absolutely no respect for her, and their miserable attitudes at work was a result of that. I worked on the front registers and was terminated as our pharmacist had made a mistake by putting three prescriptions in one order bag, so when I put the order through the registers only one of the scripts came up on our records and only one was paid for. The owner demanded that I go to the CUSTOMERS HOUSE after work hours (completely unprofessional and unsafe!) to retrieve the money or else I would be fired by the next week. I declined her order and told her that I would attempt to contact them via their mobile about the missing payment, but I had no luck. A manager and I looked at the security footage of the payment process and saw that it had been packed incorrectly by a pharmacist, and when showing this to the owner, she wouldn't even look at the footage properly and she lashed out at me, called me a liar and told me that I was to take full responsibility and pay for the unpaid prescriptions. (Which was hundreds of dollars!) I asked her to take it from my pay if it meant not losing my job, but she said she wanted it in cash, enclosed in an envelope on her desk within the week.. very, very dodgy.. She ended up firing me with absolutely no notice, no written warnings, and came up with the most ridiculous reasons to justify her decision (like blaming me for asking someone to help me mop the floors...) Also, the undercounters are absolutely filthy 99% of the time, and the staff were only paid from 8am, yet expected to start counting the registers and setting up at 7:45, and paid until 8pm when the doors close, even though there was still clean up and cashing up to be done every single day which took an extra 15 or so minutes. (Over half an hour, completely unpaid, every day.) I left that workplace with anxiety like I had never experienced before because of the stress that she had put me through, and was terrified to apply at another pharmacy for months after my termination! I now work for one of Australias biggest pharmacies and have been for quite some time, and I am treated with full respect, am paid properly and have mamagement that treats us like family! What a blessing in disguise it was to lose my job at Chemist Outlet, though I will forever have the horrible memories.
Went in tonight to ask a question to the pharmacist about my 4 week old baby who is unwell and was faced with the most rude worker on the way out. Yes we came in with 5 mins left to close and i hate to be that person but my baby had just woken up and her cough was worse so we made the mad dash to the chemist for peace of mind. Instead left feeling guilty because the older woman was yelling out ‘CAN I HELP YOU’? and not in a helpful way, her tone was very rude (not to mention again she was yelling). And as we left we said thankyou and goodbye and she was silent and just rushed us out. Way to make a new mother feel worse!
When serving one customer, don't divert to an aggressive customer, and make the rest wait an extra half hour.......last time for me, pretty ordinary service Fast forward to less than 24 hrs after incident, and I'd like to thank the pharmacist for taking the time to call me. Unfortunately aggressive customers can be unnerving for many, so I do feel.for the girl.serving.......we will still use your expert services going forward, thankyou Also so much cheaper than the big pharmacy chains, cheers
After filling my scripts I checked receipt at home and realized more expensive than elsewhere. When I called the pharmacy I was advised I have to ask for the concession rate or they don't apply it. Every other chemist asks the customer if they have concession but not this place therefore they rip unsuspecting pensioners off. Will never go back there again. The other pharmacies in Gawler are much better and honest than this place.
Sad to see what was a lovely chemist with wonderful customer service go down to drain. The unprofessional service i received from pharmacist was was atrocious. Where are the male pharmacists gone, they were wonderful. The new lady pharmacist was so rude, telling me one thing, then 2 mins later, something completely different. Won’t be returning here.
Long wait time for scripts without warning customer of the wait. They charge more for generic drugs than it costs to get the brand name ones elsewhere. The pharmacist wasted my time explaining a medication I have been taking ongoing for over a year. I will be avoiding this chemist and using the others in the region instead in future.
They do doctor certificates, went to skip Dr waiting room but smug young pharmacist spoke to me in front of everyone not in private room nearby. Looked at me and said "You can go back to work". I walked out, saw an actual doctor and was deemed unwell, and for a certificate. Rude, arrogant,
Chemist Outlet Gawler Green is a small-scale pharmacy that have all the necessary that you need under one roof, competitive price for prescription drugs and control medications; overall staff is friendly with an exception to "temperamental" pharmacist that's a hit and missed at times.
I can't not share just how impressed I was with this outlet. From the two pharmacists, assistants through to the cashier, they all could not have been anymore helpful in what was a difficult process! Thank you.
The staff here are amazing, super friendly & helpful. Even if they can't help with something they are happy to point you in the right direction & give advice. Great customer service.
Very very poor staff knowledge and poor customer service. Paid twice as much for a script as what I do normally so cheap scripts as advertised is a bit of a joke
I was served by Hayley today and was very impressed with her helpfulness and professional service - obviously a valuable asset to your business
Very disappointed in the service here, where have the good pharmacists gone ? Won't be using this chemist anymore ! Service is below standard,.
Always friendly & helpful staff @ gawler Chemist Outlet - they also have reasonable prices & stock products i need - Thankyou
Rude, uncooperative staff, unwilling to fill my prescription, leaving me unmedicated and needing to find another chemist.
Fantastic service and the girls are helpful, polite and the prices are better then anywhere else. Highly recommended!
It's a small shop, but does the job. Not the cheapest scripts in town but plenty of other bargains.
Really helpful staff, always got stock always so happy and reliable for when you need advice
Great space, not overcrowded. Also do flu shots at best price. Very relaxed but caring.
Great service lovely friendly staff with fantastic products recommend to all
Way over priced. The same purchased at another chemist was $22.00 cheaper.
Had everything I was after. Friendly staff, I will definitely be back.
Cheapest medication in Gawler, always the nicest most helpful staff!
