Hi, I haven't been to this take away shop for a while as the last time it was different staff, had to wait a while which we don't mind as long as the food is worth it, well this wasn't and we haven't been back up till a few weeks ago, and today, the chips were beautifully cooked and fresh, potato cakes made with potato's, and fish, all were beautifully cooked as we like them! thank u CLG for your beautiful fresh food!

Ordered 2 Hamburgers and chips. Was offered chicken salt but got no salt at all. As soon as it was unwrapped the burger completely disintergated into a pile of mush. Bun absolutely sodden with beetroot juice and smashed tomato that was either over ripe or just about to go off. Even the patty instantly turned to mince In desperation, we tried stripping everything off the soggy bun and attacked it with knife and fork, but everything had turned into a stew, and as each ingredient apart from the (canned) beetroot was tasteless we decided to bin it. Thank god we ate over plastic place mats so it was not such a disater to dispose of our pile of mush. The chips were dry and tasteless. We got less than a mouthful of food for a whopping $41. Stop making burgers...you're just no good at it. Maybe other items on the menu are less disgusting, but we won't be trying it out. Never ever again. $41 ?? It's almost criminal.

Ordered fish and chips last night and got severely bad food poisoning. They were about to close and I ordered over the phone, I asked for two pieces of butterfish, but they insisted on me ordering the garfish, I just said yes to make it easier. When we received our food, the chips were okay, but the fish was very dry, incredibly pungent and as soon as we ate it and could tell there was something not quite right. Hours later, we both got sick from the fish and threw up. We are still incredibly ill. A few weeks ago we ordered the same food, and I got really sick from the fish but thought nothing of it until the second time yesterday. We won’t be going there ever again very disappointed as we like to support local businesses, but this is unsafe. If I could give it zero stars I would.

We used to love this place but tonight has completely changed my mind - we ordered on the app as the lady suggested this would be quicker last time we ordered. We arrived 10 minutes early and it was already sitting there waiting. They then said “you can pick 2 desserts” (we had ordered hot donuts but obviously they didn’t have them… maybe?). I picked one slice of each of the 2 baklava in the display. We got home and the chips were completely soggy and “sweating” unlike other times where they have been super crunchy. We got through our food that was all mediocre compared to normal as it was dead cold and had obviously been sitting awhile. We then went to try the desserts, they were as hard as a rock. Like they had been there all week. Just disgusting, I won’t be returning after 10 plus years of coming here.

Fast burgers average flavour Made a quick stop here and tried their burger with the lot. The shop was quiet around lunchtime which resulted in super fast service. As far a burgers go I’d say this is an average burger. I wasn’t a fan of the patty. I prefer just a good old beef fatty without green stuff in there. The burger was filling with basic flavours.

Everything you could want from a takeaway shop! This is my go to for takeout hands down. Found them after being treated like garbage by another nearby takeaway shop that obviously didn’t need customers. The Colonels is the only place to go for takeaway in this area for sure! Stay away from everyone else. It’s local family owned and they take pride in their food. Everything tastes great and the service is quick and efficient. Try it and then tell your friends! Life is too short to waste your time at other places that are just a visa business!

Woeful to say the least. This joint has slowly gone downhill, been going here since 2000 but these past couple of years have been disappointing. Jim and Anna are lovely people but some of the staff need a lecture on food prep. Ordered a hamburger with the lot today, the bloke used his bare hands to make it.. paused mid flight to use the phone then returned to my burger, phones carry tonnes of bacteria! He also wiped his hands on his shirt while making my food. The photo shows how slap dash the burger was. Absolutely ridiculous, fired on the spot if I was the boss hog.

Ordered half chook, chips and gravy and a salad. Was quoted 10 and got it in 4 which I was quite impressed about however they just entirely forgot my gravy which seems like a hard thing to forget! Food tasted good, chicken salt on point and chicken quite tasty but not exactly happy as I paid extra for gravy chips.

Ordered 1/4 chicken pack with chips. Chips were undercooked and tasted disgusting. Gravy was good, and the chicken was a bit dry but can’t complain. I ordered Greek salad and got some random cucumber salad instead. disappointed to say the least. The portion for the price is very well, however due to the mix up and chips this was definitely disappointing and not worth it.

Is this fine up standing member of the community under new management? Have been eating schnitzel packs from here for years. I have just tried one this evening. And never again. What I had was obviously old roast chicken crumbed and fried. It was dry and inedible. For $21 I should have gone to my nearest pub. Cheaper and better.

i ordered steak sandwich. It was pretty disappointing. Steak was so hard and chewy. I could only ordered the lot on uber as i would have rather ordered the plain but had no option in uber menu. Sandwich was so messy to eat. Slice bread was not enough to hold "the lot". Very disappointed. It was not worth the money. Chips was nice tho. We do however buy their roasted chicken as it tasted really nice.

I have been coming here for many years. Sad to say last nights takeaway was disappointing. Chicken was okay but stuffing was inferior to previously. The chips were yellow and quite dry having been cooked and kept in baskets above fryer, then redipped in oil to reheat. Different chips to those previously bought from here not sure if there has been a change in owner but quite disappointing

Outrageous price hike. Ordered a 1/4 chicken, chips & gravy in a pack. Previously cost around $13. Now charging $13.90 for chicken & chips PLUS $3.00 extra for gravy! The cost for gravy is for gravy to go over the food, not a seperate container. Went elsewhere. At these price's, I won't be returning.

For the second time in a row I'm unhappy with the food from this shop. The chips were way too salty (we asked for half of our chips without salt and could not find them). Any fried food they make with breadcrumbs is way overcooked and every salad has onion in it. The battered fish wasn't terrible.

The best potato fritters I've had in years!! Highly recommend

Consistently good takeaway. best hot chips in the area, great barbecue chickens also serves hamburgers, fish, and general fried foods plus a salad bar.
