I’ve been bringing all of our dogs to Dr. Mauldin for years. I have literally spent thousands, which has been warranted due to the nature of care one dog in particular requires. I had a misunderstanding with the receptionist (Diane) about the proper date to bring my pregnant dog in for X-Rays (I came one week early). At that time they were unable to see how many puppies she was having so Dr. Mauldin told me to return in one week to redo the X-Ray. I paid for the failed exam and then agreed to another the next week. When I called to verify her appointment the following week, I simply asked if I was expected to pay for the X-ray this visit since I brought her in last week when they said they would be able to count the puppies, to which I was informed by Diane that I was in the wrong, I made the mistake in dates and yes I’m expected to pay. The tone, the condescending speech and the willingness to start an argument is why I will not be Investing one more cent into this practice. The disrespectful nature is inexcusable. I was told by a professional to bring my dog in a week too early and I am being made to pay twice, one for their mistake and then another for an actual outcome that should have happened the first visit. What a shame.

Was initially referred by a friend due to reasonable prices and “insurance” type programs for your pets that beat most, if not all other vets in town; these programs are designed to give you an overall discount on annual services that your pets need - shots, dental, exams, spay/neutering, microchipping etc. Friend was correct about the pricing but the Staff from the door to the back won me over. Everyone is fantastic with puppies to seniors, large and small and every type of temperament, great with cats too! The office kitties are the nicest ever - saying a lot from a “dog person’s” perspective. Doctors and staff are Extremely knowledgeable and informative for the new pet parent or the type A pet parent who has a lot of questions as well as those that may not know what to ask about their fur baby. I LOVED my old vet - had gone to them with my senior dog for years but these folks are wonderful and I switched over in one visit with my new puppy.

I have to say my experience beginning with the phone conversation to make my pet's appointment, was a very pleasant and comforting one. I scheduled a dental appointment for my baby Penny, and what I suspected to be an abscess, was actually a tumor that needed emergency surgery. Dr. Maudlin immediately referred me to a specialist, and upon arrival to pick up Penny, I was comforted by front staff..even by Oliver the adorable clinic kitty cat! And greeted with a wonderful hug by technician Miki, she was very kind. The staff also requested that they be updated on Penny's outcome, and I felt that they genuinely meant it. I am extremely happy to say that my Penny, a senior beauty, pulled through a very rough surgery and will be home with her furry family very soon!! Thank you Dr. Maudlin and the entire Churchill staff! I will definitely be returning with more of my fuzzy children, hopefully without any complications!!

My boyfriend and I just rescued two puppies that were dumped. This was the first time we had ever visited this veterinarian clinic. We absolutely loved the staff and the Dr. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their job and was genuine in their customer service. Plus, everyone's a hoot. Especially Gina and Dr. Mauldin! :) The puppies were sleepy when we went, so they behaved well and took their shots/dewormer pretty well. Dr. Mauldin was very informative and made sure that we knew what to expect in the coming months as far as vaccinations for our puppy babies. The prices seem pretty standard and we were able to use that $50 off for first time visitors when you spend over $100 and it really helped. They have a puppy care package that seems really cost effective for the customer. Overall, this place is awesome as far as veterinarian care goes. I wish people clinics were as awesome.

Churchill Veterinary Hospital has been a true blessing for our family! Words cannot express our gratitude. We have been taking our dogs here for years. They are always extremely professional and loving. Recently, we had a puppy fall suddenly very ill. Dr. Mauldin was honest, kind and demonstrated exceptional expertise with navigating his recovery. The vet techs are knowledgeable and caring and were integral to his recovery as well. The techs, Dr. Mauldin himself and the office staff were excellent at communicating with us while our little guy was away from home. We simply cannot recommend Dr. Mauldin and his staff enough! You can be sure you're in good hands at this clinic, they treat animals as family members and understand how special they are to us. Churchill Vet is a wonderful place. We have been bringing our pets here since I was a child back in the late 80's into the 90's. I have always had pets in my life and served in the Navy that let me experience Vets all the way from Virginia to Hawaii. Without a doubt the staff here has been the best I have yet to deal with. It is very refreshing to have a laid back and down to earth Doctor backed by a knowledgeable staff. Sympathetic to our situation and offered at least three different treatments for my dog's severe seasonal allergies. They were very forthcoming on all potential risks and side effects and recommended a treatment not involving steroids (unlike others I have tried) On behalf of "Odd" the dog, we thank you guys. He hasn't had a scratching fit since an hour after we left yesterday and the inflammation has subsided greatly. And all without terrorizing our bank account.

Let's face it, going to a vet can be intimidating, especially a new one. You don't know if they're going to rake you over the coals with the bill. You don't know if they'll take care of your pet with the same love and attention that we ourselves give our pets. The team at Churchill are friendly, professional, and are very sweet with my dog Pepper. Dr. Mauldin is great at communicating with you, and tries to cut you a deal wherever possible. My dog had to have a surgery and was estimated to cost $2,500 (which was very reasonable considering the procedure. It eventually came in at $1,900, WAY UNDER BUDGET!! I am so grateful for Ann, Diane, Serena and the whole team. I have always felt extremely comfortable taking Pepper there, and I would encourage anyone looking for a vet to take their pet to Churchill!

We just recently switched to Churchill for our two dogs. Unfortunately the prognosis for our youngest wasn't good. Dr. Mauldin was able to help us keep her comfortable while we made the difficult decision to let her go. And when the time came he was so compassionate and understanding that we truly felt they were sincere in helping us to send her across the Rainbow Bridge. The staff's dedication to animals well being and the care with which they treat patients and their family is unmatched. If you are looking for a veterinarian that cares about your pet and you, you found him. Thank you all for your compassion today and making the experience so much easier. went in a year ago for rabies shot and to look at my cat. vet was nice. a year later im trying to get another rabies shot for my cat and the owner was the RUDEST so demeaning and disrespectful saying i owed money for my last visit and they’d been reaching out to me for a year, ID PAID IT. not once did i receive mail or a phone call saying i hadn’t . having to find a new vet clinic because of their lack of communication and business etiquette. hopefully these veterinarians find a better owner to work under i truly pray that they are treated correctly if the owner treats customers like this

Dr. Mauldin and his staff are truly kind and compassionate. They cared for and about my super senior Bengal cat, and when she was at the end stages of cancer, I truly felt supported. Dr. Mauldin came to our home to ease Bella into her next life with such gentleness. When I went to pick up her ashes about a week later, drowning in sorrow, they actually had a kitten at the clinic in need of a forever home. That new kitten has brought me so much joy, and the office has even called to check up on us both! I won't go anywhere else as long as I live in San Antonio.

I called this place because I was looking for a veterinarian close to my house. The woman who answered asked me the nature of the appointment. I said my dog needed a check up and I wanted to talk to the vet about clipping my dogs nails and possibly administering something to relax or sedate him. She said they didn't have the medication required to do that on hand and she had no idea when or if they would have it again. I thought we could at least make an appointment for a general exam but she wasn't interested in doing that and said I should call another vet.

Churchill Veterinary Hospital has been our pet's primary care since before it moved to it's current location many years ago. The staff are kind, empathetic, genuinely love animals, and know that our pets are our family. Dr. Mauldin is a great person with an upbeat attitude. He is honest about sometimes difficult situations and he doesn't hesitate to reach out to other veterinarians when one of our pets is in great need. I am so thankful for all that the wonderful people at Churchill Veterinary Hospital do and have done to help my pets be at their best.

Just amazing service and care for our dog. He'd slipped his disc fetching balls as a border collie can't stop himself as you can imagine, he was in grave pain. CHV took him in without an appt, did x-rays and got him out the door at such a reasonable cost! We'd been going to Deerfield up the street for years and they had recently gouged us for $1,000 for unnecessary x-rays for our other dog recently for a simple pneumonia case. Very impressed and will be making this place our new home. Wish we'd known about it before!

Dr. Mauldin and the entire staff are amazing. Love them all! They are very caring and provide the best possible care for my dogs. They are always very attentive and willing to work to find out what is wrong with my dogs. I have been with this vet clinic even before they moved to this location. I would never trust my pet's care to anyone else. They are absolutely the best! I tell everyone I wish my doctor's cared about me the way Churchill Veterinary Hospital cares about their patients.

I've been taking a couple of Chihuahua Rescue foster dogs there for several months. Haven't gotten to go in the place yet...Covid protocol... But, they have a very nice parking lot, and the folks that come out to get your pet have been real nice. And they've taken good care of our foster dogs. If we lived closer we'd take the rest of our herd there too, but it's a good road trip to get there from our house.

I called recently to make a dog boarding reservation and was told reservations could only be made for clients of the Vet. I then requested an appointment to establish my dog as a client but staff then told me he had to be an "established client" in order to make boarding reservation. In the end, no appointment was made because a general exam was not sufficient enough for staff.

I've taken my pet(s) here for more than 20 years. The doctor and his staff are top-notch. On my most recent visit, our chihuahua was having issues and acting lethargic. The doctor and his staff were able to fit us in on an emergency basis and quickly determined what care needed to be performed. I hope your experience is as good as mine has been over the years.

Horrible service. Useless staff, they never go what’s going on, refuse to ask for help when they don’t know something. Diane will hang up on you after being rude. Vet barely takes any time with our dog. When we had her kenneled there for a trip she was shell shocked afterwards. She was really scared and skiddish. We ended up switching, it just wasn’t worth it

We have trusted them to take wonderful care of our chihuahua-mutt, and we have been thrilled by their care and service, attending to our pup as though she were theirs and taking the time to talk through our questions and concerns as pup parents. All I did was go by to get some medicine for our dog. I called first and told the receptionist I needed to pick up a refill prescription. I paid over the phone and by the time I got there it was ready. I called them from the parking lot and the young lady brought the medicine out to my car. I wish other places were as well organized as this was.

I have used this veterinary practice for over 20 years with no issues. The majority of the staff have been there since the beginning. They always put the care and happiness of their patients above all else. Their service is always exemplary. I would, and do, recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reasonably priced veterinarian.

We've been with most of the clinic staff for around 15-20 years and have always been treated well and our dogs can't wait to get back behind the scenes. Tells a lot about how they are treated. These dogs are rescues and we do our part regarding their health and when there is a need for a vet I can't recommend Dr. Jeff Mauldin enough.

Called and asked if we needed to make an appointment but they said no. Made a 45 minute drive and was greeted by two ungrateful and rude women. They said it was late even though it was 2pm and they close at 6pm and they informed me they only work by appointments. A “sorry for the drive” would’ve made a world of a difference to me.

Dr. Mauldin has taken care of all of our dogs for many years. He has had to diagnose several complicated issues with our dogs and he has been right every time. He knows how we all love our pets as family and is very compassionate. He even came in on a Sunday to check one of our older dogs. We trust him completely

I came in after it being my 5th place I went. MeowMeow had a growth on him leg and nobody wanted to help. They helped me right away, and for the most affordable price ever, we saved almost $500 with this vet. The people are just so nice, definitely moved him to this vet for good.

Great Vet, very experienced. My dog recently had to have some benign growths removed and thought it was going to take my whole tax return. It did not! Staff up front is always amazing as well.
