This restaurant really should be given a negative rating. This is absolutely the worst ever dining experience I’ve ever had in my life, even though I am a relatively easy customer already. 1. We arrived the restaurant on time and ordered the new year eve course meal. After 15mins the waitress told us we have to change the order because the first waitress was new and ordered wrongly. 3. After we changed the course and several rounds chasing with the waiter, we waited another 40mins for our first dish which was not only cold but also the incorrect one! They totally missed the appetisers and after we reminded them several times they served the appetisers cold in the middle of the whole meal. 5. Throughout the whole meal, they have been missing the courses even after we reminded few times, they served the food in wrong order, all dishes were served cold and the waitress didn’t even know what have been served and what haven’t. Neither any waiters/waitresses or restaurant manager gave any explanation or apology. 5. We ordered a bottle of wine but no waiter/waitress were there to serve us. 6. In the end, we spent almost four hours on this low quality cold “fine dining”. 7. While we were waiting, we kept seeing other customers complaining that they have been waiting one hour just to pay the bill. In short, their service is utterly disappointing. I would strongly recommend anyone coming to the Pointe to avoid this restaurant.

Beautiful Restaurant with great service and menu, ill devide my feed back into pros and cons, Pros: 1. Service was fanominale they just wouldent let us wait for a sexound if we wanted aome thing. My wife celebrated a birthday and they all came out singing with a cake and candal. 2. Atmoaphire was awsome and the view was impressive including the atlantis hotel lighted up and dancing fountains of The Pointe. 3. Vivid and veraitile menu including meny dishes that are portraid beautifully in a menu out of a ferry tale. Cons: 1. Expensive food that seemed very regular in matter of taste, i mean 88 AED for a single 7 cm diamiter of tiger prawn ball covered in almonds, which was nice, but come on that is not a legitamte price for that. In total the food was goos but nothing more. 2. I made reservations knowing of the signature dish of peking duck, when we got to the restaurant i was told i should have pre ordered ,when making reservation , the duck and that i cannot have it without pre reservation and i was not informed of that while making reservation. 3. It seemed like the waiters were suggesting the exact same things almost like they were breefed what to offer us based on the restaurant preferance of what to get rid of, the offers were poor and childish in nature, we went withour own choices and it was the right thing to do. In overall the expirience was good and if we will get the chance to go back and try the duck we will defenatly do so.

It must be the most high-end Chinese restaurant in Dubai. Located in the The Pointe, the new leisure area in the Palm, Chuan is just opened to public. The kitchen director is used to be the executive chef of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in China, which hosts the banquet for the Chinese presidents and foreign dignitaries. So, the quality of the food is really worth with expectation. We have tried many kinds of dishes that night, from the simple cabbage soup to Peking ducks. Some dishes are just blowing my mind when I tasted it, the combination is amazing. Especially the Peking duck, is the most similar one in Dubai as I tasted in Beijing before. All the soup are delicious, the flavor must be something you have never try even I felt surprised as a Chinese (in the good way). Also they have long-simmered beef cube with red wine and guess what? Even Beef Wellington!! I can't control my mouth water even just think about it again. And super surprised that a Chinese restaurant can make such good beef Wellington. To be honest, Chuan is pricy, but even just from the decoration and location, you can tell the owner has spent a lot on it. At least 350-500 dhs per person then you can enjoy the full meal. But it's really worth to try if the high-end Chinese cuisine is something you're looking for, the one and only in Dubai as I can say.

I went to Chuan with friends for dinner on a recommendation and we had an amazing evening. The decor was very luxurious with gorgeous furniture and amazing artwork, we especially loved the infinity wine room which they kindly let us walk into (I wouldn't recommend this for anyone scared of heights as the floor is clear)! The menu was so full of exciting dishes that it was hard for us to narrow down what we wanted. As a strict vegetarian there are normally only a couple dishes that will suit me, but I was spoilt for choice with all the delicious dim sum, noodles, tofu dishes, and flavourful vegetables. The service was very friendly and attentive, and we were well looked after. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for incredible high end Chinese food here in Dubai. We will be back!

It was our first time visiting Chuan for my birthday dinner. It was defiantly an exceptional experience. It's located in a wonderful location and has a very calm authentic ambience. Their service was amazing, their waitress Cindy helped as with the menu and detailed explanation of the dishes and the restaurants Business Partner also advised as on the best dishes that will suit our licking. I have never eaten Peking duck the way it's served in Chuan. Serving it with Sugar was different but tasted amazing. The dishes were all spectacular with reasonable portions. And they managed to amaze us with every dish. They ended this beautiful evening with complimentary surprise cake, which was also another amazing dish, made of Camel Milk!!!! which was new to me but tasted sooo nice. Thank you for the beautiful evening and will definitely come back again to try all the other different dishes.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Chuan Seafood. The venue is stunning, we especially enjoyed viewing the wine cellar and private dining rooms. The menu is quite large but not overwhelming. The Chinese cabbage in chicken broth was a highlight for me, the soup was very light yet full of flavour and crystal clear. The starter voted best dish by our group was the wagu beef pancake, juicy meat full of flavour encased it a very thin crisp pancake. However the real reason we are here is for the Peking Duck, the crispest skin I have tried in Dubai served with homemade sauces and lots of cucumber and spring onion. I highly recommend calling a few days in advance and ordering one! Finally the fried rice, I was full but still tried it and so happy I did, I love fried rice that has a bit of bite to it, nothing upsets me more then overcooked rice and the Kobe beef fried rice is a dish not to miss! I hope to be back to try many more dishes.

Chuan is a true hidden gem for lovers of the best Chinese fine dining. Exquisitely presented and authentically prepared in a beautiful restaurant with stunning views of the Palm Fountains. The menu is extensive and arguably too much choice, but the staff will guide you expertly through traditional and modern dim sum and a la carte options. They absolutely do have the best Peking duck I believe you can enjoy in the UAE, just remember to reserve when you book to avoid disappointment. However, there are so many more amazing dishes to try that it will take several visits to fully enjoy the Chuan experience ! Highly recommended for that special evening or if you really want to appreciate the best Chinese fine dining in the UAE ! Thank you and see you again soon !

Our visit to Chuan Chinese Restaurant on a Tuesday evening was an absolute delight. The large round table provided the perfect setting for our group of nine, allowing for enjoyable conversations throughout the meal. The wide variety of delicious dishes, including the traditional Peking Duck, flavorful Lamb dish, and unique Salmon Wasabi Panipuri, left us thoroughly impressed. The team's hospitality was exceptional, making us feel welcomed and attended to. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Chuan Chinese Restaurant. Highly recommended for its wonderful food and warm hospitality.

The best Chinese food in Dubai if you’re looking for authenticity, and fairly priced compared to other fine dining venues as well. I ordered the Chili Fish (水煮鱼) and the Shaanxi Noodles (油泼面) and they were both spot on. This is coming from a Chinese guy who loves spicy Sichuan cuisine. The service was attentive, special thanks to the Chinese speaking waitress who made the experience memorable. She’s very knowledgeable about the dishes and a great conversationalist. I look forward to come back and try the roast duck. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food with atmosphere and a experienced chef, this is the place for you.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Chuans. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed. Our waitress May gave us exceptional service. She was very attentive, looked after us and recommended great dishes to have. She was a delight! We got the seafood rice, crispy beef pancake, red rice cheung feung, chicken with truffle & king pao chicken. Between me and my husband we enjoyed all the dishes and left full. They even surprised my husband with a mooncake dessert and birthday noodles as it was his birthday. The view is also incredible! Looking forward to coming back!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Dubai. The menu is so rich that you might need the help of the staff to choose, which they happily do. Food is fresh, really fresh, they maintain living fish aquariums. It's tasty and well seasoned. The marketing manger was very nice and she ensured in person all was as per our expectations. She offered us free fruit baskets. You can also book a private space which is wonderful if you have a private event. I personally find the 1st floor sitting better than the ground floor, may be because less formal, but it's a matter of taste. Don't forget to validate your parking ticket by asking the staff!

Food was really good, ambience was very nice. Little bit over priced but you get to see the nice view of the palm and atlantis. Front reception was horrible, we went on a weekday evening around 6.20 pm , we are 4 girls going for dinner. She told us we can only sit indoor, the outdoor seats are ALL RESERVED from 7 pm. We asked her if the people don't show up on time, can we change our seats? She replied its not possible because they reserve the seats for customers for 1 hr!!!!!! Because of the traffic?! I really like to know which restaurant is reserving the seats for customers for 1hr even if they're late. And this is not new years eve, there's no traffic outside... Would love to visit again but not in this way of service.

Very creative yet authentic Chinese taste. Every dish we had was great experience. I recommend the duck for sure. The service is attentive and professional with great smile. Drinks are creative and affordable. Overall an experience must try.

RIP OFF! Decided to give it a try to have a front seat by the fountains (go to Burj Khalifa, they appear smaller in the Palm, cause they aren't surrounded by high rises). We had 5 dishes, all of them pricey, but it's Dubai: 2 were good, 3 of them are better on every average Chinese street food market. We ordered a Chinese rosé wine, as I never tried one, but as this one wasn't available, I asked for the French one in the same price range. But we got the most expensive wine they had on the menu instead. I didn't double check on the name unfortunately, cause I am used to trust my waiter. What a surprise in the the end, when they presented the bill.

We had an incredible dinner at chuan. Not only was the restaurant absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of the fountains, the staff were kind and so helpful- and every dish was perfect. As a vegetarian, I was so happy to have so many beautiful options to choose from. I would definately recommend chain for authentic Chinese fine dining with a beautiful ambience and the best Chinese food in Dubai that I have found so far.

incredible experience bumping into this restaurant on my first trip to Dubai. Their menus alone showed their classy way of showing their art in food. They were polite and extremely attentive. Their GM Zar Zar was professional and genuinely helpful. Her strong operational skills show through her astute team - hope to see them again! My husband and I love food and restaurants but unfortunately we won’t be returning to Chuan. The cod fish was dry, the melting meat full of fat, the beef inside the Swan dim sum was lovely but the pastry it was cooked in smelt of stale oil, and the desserts (bean roll and egg custard bun) were tasteless. While the view was impressive, the restaurant decor is drab and there were only a few tables filled, something we understood once we’d finished eating. The service though was excellent - it’s a shame the food let’s it down. For a bill of 1400 for 2 people, the food is well below par.

We ordered an appetizer and two main courses, a fish with preserved vegetables and a mixed vegetables dish. Due to our diet restrictions, we requestes that all of dishes were made with less salt. Unfortunately, the fish came with a ton of salt, they could make it any saltier, even if we asked! When questioned, the response was that the preserved vegetable was very salty. (Since they knew that, why couldn't they put less of it in the dish?) The presentation and service were good, but nothing out of ordinary when factor in how expensive this place is.

Even the menu is a work of art. We live nearby the Pointe so walked over, restaurant is now in soft opening until inauguraton on Dec 28 so only the dim sum menu is open but well worth it as it’s three steps past Din Tau Fung. The Red Rice Shrimp is particularly good but all we ordered ( nearly the whole menu) was really good. I can’t wait until Dec 28 to try the full menu. The food is a bit pricey but high value as service, location and views, and food quality are all off the charts. Definitely will become a “special occasion” mainstay in Dubai.

We had a great time! Zin lin was an exceptional waiter and was extremely friendly and brilliant in general. Tbh everyone was polite and kind. The Chef was brilliant and made everything perfect to a fault. Had an all round sensational time and would definately recommend to everyone.

Wonderful variety of delicious, elegant Chinese and European dishes, in addition to kind and professional service. Food was fantastic. Service by Minn was superb. He offered great recommendations for all three courses. If 6 stars were available, this restaurant deserves it. We had the chef's recommendations: Peking duck and codfish. The chef with over 10 years of experience gives you a live experience when serving the duck. Chaun presents itself as an “authentic” Chinese restaurant. I am not sure of it being authentic but the food is very good. The Peking Duck is the star of the show. Crispy and tender and it should be. The King Crab was also delicious but you need to be mindful of the price. The fried rice was not that appealing. The place Spacious with views over the fountain. Recommended dishes: - Peking Duck - King Crab - Shrimp dumplings - Crispy beef pancake

Fabulous food but with slow service. It could be because it’s new and trying to sort things out. The staff needs to be much faster and more responsive and visit the tables without being called. Food was amazing, I would have given it 5* if not for service. Though the manager did try and redeem the service by giving a 30% discount which we appreciate. It will become our goto joint on the Palm for Chinese food along with Maiden Shanghai in V.

The food was excellent notably the Peking Duck and Mud Garlic Crab. Leyzel was the waitress serving us and she provided us with top notch service quality. One the the best Chinese cuisine my wife & I had to date! A must try restaurant for all.

This is a beautiful restaurant designed along Feng Shue principles, with spectacular views of the fountains. The private rooms are delightful. The food is consistently delicious with many unusual dishes prepared by a chef who has cooked for presidents and royalty. This is a really special treat that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is interested in the best Chinese cuisine has to offer.

Best chinese Restaurant in Dubai . The deco is amazing, the service also and the food is simply divine . All was so fine and delicious. They are very kids friendly and just launched a kids menu . The dumplings with truffle are absolutely to be tried. Thank you Chuan for the magnificent evening .

They should change the reception non-Chinese waitress, otherwise they will distroy this restaurant. They just lie to the customer about the reservation and they don't know the traditional Chinese dining culture. I ordered 4 bottles of ice tee, they served one and half bottles into the glasses and told us we drank all 4... Food was great, but service catastrophic.

We had one of our most lovely moments dining at Chuan with our guests. The food was extremely flavourful and satiating. They catered to our vegetarian and Gluten free requirements too. Gogu attended on us with so much care. The mango sago dessert was emmaculate!!! The restauranr is overlooking the fountain show and Atlantis!! We will surely want to go back soon!

We've been in Chuan twice. First time we didn't try duck coz we didn't know that we need to book it. Second time we came for duck testing and it was wonderful. Super delicious And not only duck other dishes as well Plus it is licensed, with amazing view and service. Interior also on the high level. Definitely will recommend to my friends

When I read the reviews and visited this restaurant, I had high expectations. However, I was somewhat disappointed. The food looks very good, but the taste is lacking. Maybe the chef should do more efforts is the final spice touch. Overall not bad, but given the price, this should have been much tastier.

The view is spectacular. The reception, hosting and service is excellent. The menu was a bit confusing at the beginning but with help of staff we quickly got it. The food variety material and taste is excellent. The Dover sole fish is very nice as well as all the food. I will visit again differently.

Definitely a hidden gem for the expat community. The good here is amazing, live DJ, fountain view and beautiful decor! Plus the waitress just told me the food your dining is designed made by a world class Michelin Chef that use to cook for many influential people back in China. Highly recommend!

The best service ever from Joraisa. She was very attentive and polite through our entire evening there. She knew when to give us more time to decide and she was very patient and always smiling. The food was average… if I ever came back it would be for the excellent customer service from Joraisa.

Great food and wonderful staff and service from start to end. Waitress /Host Ms Gugu was so attentive did not miss a beat and with her infectious smile and menu knowledge made it a 7 stars experience. I always enjoy coming here, thanks again .

Chuan mean peaceful or calm. Yesterday was very surprise, I visit the restaurant first time and it was a great experience. Atmosphere really calm and clean . Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Food delicious, specially sweets (very weird teste) huge vine bar.Highly recommended …

The family and I have visited this restaurant twice. The food is excellent, we had duck, seafood and dim sum. The atmosphere is very comfortable as the interior is very well designed and pleasing. The staff are very well presented and polite. We will be going back for the duck!

Wow! This sister restaurant of Long Ten really impressed me. Authentic Chinese dishes and alcohol in a gorgeous two level restaurant with an impressive wine rack and view of the worlds largest fountain. Don’t forget to ask the restaurant to validate your parking ticket.

Chuan Chinese restaurant is one of the best Top Chinese restaurants with delicious food and excellent Service from Daisy & Leyzel helping with recommendations from the excellent menue. A truly decadent experience

This is the place to be if you want high quality authentic Chinese food. Amazing food, amazing view, amazing decor. The Peking Duck is definitely the best I have had in Dubai and surpasses what the other Asian-oriented restaurants offer by miles. Highly recommend!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Dubai. It’d be better you stick to one cuisine, although all what they have is very authentic. Cantonese, Sichuan and Xi’an, all very good dishes. If you don’t know Xi’an, try the thick noodles. You’ll love them.

By far the best Chinese restaurant in Dubai in my opinion. Nice environment and good service. Quality of food is extraordinary. The price is at the higher end.

That was a very fancy restaurant with high price)). But it was very delicious and totally worth it. Our waiter Sunil was very helpful, kind and attentive. He helped us to choose dishes and explained patiently each one of them. Thank you very much!

Authentic Chinese food with superior service. I highly recommend Peking Duck - you should reserve it in advance to give chef time to prepare it for you.

The place had amazing views on The Atlantis Hotel and the Point Fountain. The food is absolutely delicious!! You can choose table on the terrace on the first floor or on the ground floor. Classy restaurant, highly recommended.

The foods are very good and we love it so much. The staffs are very attentive especially ZAR ZAR who has been excellent in her service.

Sunil is the star here not only he made our special day extraordinary but he was polite and helped with the menu and explained what to eat and how to eat authentic Chinese dish.He is a brilliant person.

Ridiculously expensive! Duck was good but 250 grams of half peking duck for US$ 100.00 is a bit too much. The restaurant has an amazing view of the Palm fountain.

Crispy swans One of the very delicious dishes at China川. Have to mention the pecking duck which might be the best in town.... don’t forget to book in advance...
