"This place is really cheap"
"**** Rude, Racist, Uncultured, Ignorant Staff at the La Taquiera restaurant here"
"Went yesterday during lunch ordered a torta I asked for bread to be extra toasted and onions to be grilled on the side"
"Do not eat here or use the bathrooms here! This place has gone down hill terribly"
"Tried the tacos for the first time"
This place is really cheap. As of January of 2016 (the last time I ate here) I don't believe they have raised their taco prices in the approximately 10 years I have been going here. So that's a plus, nearly enough for me to give it 3 stars, but not quite. Aside from being cheap, I don't really understand the appeal. The ingredients are mediocre at best. The tacos are tortillas and meat and come with a side of cilantro and onions and a side of grilled onions. The grilled onions are great, and I appreciate that. However, I don't know why anyone would want to eat raw chopped onions with cilantro. Disgusting. There are some tables inside the gas station, but pretty much everyone just takes their food to go. The atmosphere at this place is really sketchy. The Inwood/I-35 intersection is prime real estate for bums and beggars and has been for as long as I can remember. Many of the bums here have been working this corner for 10+ years. When they aren't working cars on the corner, they are hitting people at the gas station and that includes this taqueria. The glass where you order even says not to order food for homeless people. I was hit up by a bum on my most recent visit (as was every single person at the gas station). He's the most recognizable bum and has been working this corner since before the dawn of time. He wanted beans and rice. If he can't afford beans and rice, maybe he should move into a different line of work. Anyways back to the food, there is nothing special about it but a lot of people think it is special so perhaps you should try it for yourself. I ordered 6 tacos, which were decent sized. I spent $10.50 which I think is fair. That being said I am still hungry and will probably now go to Taco Cabana for some sopapillas. Probably the best thing to do is order beans and rice with your tacos if you are a big eater...that way you get filled up and don't spend too much money. The beans and rice are fine but nothing to write home about (taco cabana has better beans, FYI). In terms of which tacos to get, I'd recommend the lengua, beef fajita, and barbacoa. The al pastor tends to be too dry and I recall their chicken tacos being very mediocre. Tortas here are fine but not as good as what you will find at nearby La Hechizera. Of course, places like La Hechizera close early and this place is open 24 hrs a day. I noticed they were closed on Christmas but they don't take too many days off.
**** Rude, Racist, Uncultured, Ignorant Staff at the La Taquiera restaurant here. They seem to always be nasty to black people and have had complaints. **** The Hispanic women who work at the restaurant are extraordinary rude to black people. They all speak limited English and often get the order wrong. When they get the order wrong they complain that the customer changed the order. I've had my change thrown back at me, my order repeatedly written down wrong and the wrong change given back to me where they end up keeping a dollar or more. About a month ago I went to the restaurant and an older black Male was outside complaining how nasty these women, who are more than likely illegal and working under fraudulent papers, are to black people. They are clearly racist. The final straw for me was when I went to the restaurant recently and ordered two breakfast plates. I simply wanted the meat portion MIXED and I didn't ask for anything extra. I had ordered the same plate for several days and I was not told anything was 'extra' This was not on the wall. This particular day i ordered the same meal and the nasty, rude, ignorant Hispanic woman yelled "Dollar More!". "Extra"! I asked what was extra? Both plates, the one with bacon and the one with chorizo COST THE SAME. so simply put a half portion of bacon and a half portion of chorizo on both. They COST THE SAME. She threw a tantrum and called the ignorant Indian manager. This man came running over and decided he was going to try and humiliate me in his store by screaming in front of other customers "You want FREE!". That ignorant SOB. WHAT THE HELL WAS FREE?! I was holding the damn reciept! Evidently the Hispanic woman had LIED like I wanted a free portion when I simply asked that it be mixed. If both plates cost the same and they come with an option of different meats split the meat portion on both. The MF went on and on about my wanting something free when I have patronized his store buying that high priced sh-- and putting up with nasty a-- attitudes by those filthy mouth, non English speaking, racist Hispanic illegals working in that restaurant and he thinks I tried to get the plate for free because a person with limited intelligence who can barely speak English said it? I will never return. The food isn't that good to take such disrespectful behavior. I will not spend another DIME at that establishment
Went yesterday during lunch ordered a torta I asked for bread to be extra toasted and onions to be grilled on the side. I opened my item before I left and saw there was 1 tomato and a slice of avacado, I mentioned it and she's like if you want extra you pay extra. I said no not extra but I'd like for avacado to be enough for whole torta. I mean I didn't order half a torta. Also my friend ordered 3 tacos w/cheese and avacado total was around $16 for both items my torta is $6.47 plus tax but I was like dang that's a lot of money for 3 little street tacos that's like $3 for ea that's ridiculous yet they want to charge me more for an adequate amount of avacado on my torta.
Do not eat here or use the bathrooms here! This place has gone down hill terribly. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The freshness of the restrooms are nonexistent. We ordered street tacos dinner and beef/chicken quesadilla. Everything lacked flavor. For marinated spicy pork(Al Pastor)to not have taste is a problem. The rice and beans were cold & also bland, but the watered down thin consistency of the beans was most insulting. Even the salsa was water thin. Don't try to make your product stretch by sacrificing the quality.
Tried the tacos for the first time. I ordered the special with 2 spicy pork and 1 beef corn tortilla beans/rice for $5.99. The wait was a bit longer than I'd expected given there weren't many people there. Firstly they gave me flour instead of corn. OK I let that go. Then the taco meat wasn't even warm. It felt room temp at best. That was my deal breaker there. Then 30 min later my stomach was irritated. What a total waste of time and money. Needless to say I will not be visiting this place anytime in the near future.
I just had a bad experience at this location around 9:15am 9.6.2020, I purchase $10.00 worth of gas with my debit card and the clerk Uday, literally put MY recipet on the counter and basically flicked it towards my direction, when I asked him... "Man you can give it to me in my hand".....I got no response....I don't know maybe hes SLOW or something..who knows..."Please train your employees way better, bc I could've gotten IGNANT with the young dude"..but I didn't...it was to way early for the BS....
Our 1st time here & we ordered Street Chicken . We were not disappointed at all. The chicken was flavorful, onions, cilantro & lime's we had the right amount for each taco, the grilled onions on the side to add to the taco's if we liked was an added plus & the portion size was good. The salsa was perfect for me only spicy! I recommend if you are in the area, check them out.
Delicious tacos; I've had them several times, at both locations, over the last few years. And while the quality does vary on each visit, I'm usually quite pleased when I leave. The service is brusque and there are usually homeless about asking for money, but the tacos are full, flavorful, and there is a guy nearby selling elote that makes for the perfect taco side.
Normally I like this place, but the service was somewhat rude last time. I think it’s ridiculous that they charge extra for half and half meat even though there is no extra meat. The last time I went, I had a terrible time in the restroom. That was the only thing I had eaten in the prior day, so it couldn’t have been anything else.
Best customer service,I walked in and the lady was very very nice, she helped me and helped another lady at the Same time and she was changing to another registrar and she worked her little hAnds off to get everybody out of the store. I love this place and the workers, gas is always cheap, and hot dogs are alwAys hot and fresh.
Decent place. They have a Subway and taco stand. They have an excessive selection of alcoholic drinks, and there is always at least one homeless person begging for money, food, et cetera. But their selection of candy, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are all lacking.
Terrible place and horrible staff. The tacos are over rated. The lady took my order and it came to me all messed up and she didn't care to fix it. The only thing this place has going for it is the fact that it's open 24 hours. Avoid at all costs
Love the tacos!! Way better than Fuel City, hands down. Always a line so expect to wait a few minutes. Have to pay cash at window or go inside and pay at register using a card. Worth the wait! Quesadillas are really good too and the Tortas.
They charged me $.50 a bottle to fill up my water bottle with ice water. I had 3 bottles : $1.50 was added to my food purchase. Beware, cheap shopkeepers! I regretted getting gas and buying stuff from there. Take your business elsewhere.
The guy who works the register late night has always provided superior service for me. The food is also great. I get the veggie burrito with cheese fries. It’s one of my favorite go-to’s late night and even just regular hours
Well we all know about Fuel City Tacos!!! Yes at one point we thought they had the best street tacos as if!!! They don’t too Fuel Town Period!!! I have feel so in love with these tacos the are amazing seriously
Great place to stop. It is very clean, service is great, staff is friendly and the food is so good and fresh! Everything is made daily. Stop in and get something made by Eva, you won’t be disappointed! …
The food is good !! But the people that take your order are very very rude it's as if they almost don't want you to be there I'm not sure if I'm going back or will tell anybody else about their tacos
Very rude cashiers, owner seems to not care about customer service much, but what can you expect from a gas station convenient store? The Mexican food there is great, inside and outside.
I stop there for the tacos., I had the chicken tacos, I think they use can chicken meat, so I won't be going back. There is a place down the street that makes them better.
Very good service, very fast and it looks very clean, I recommend them, the meat is much better than in past years, especially that of the pastor, and the sauce is amazing
Omg very good tacos, very tasty beef fajita ,carnitas, barbacoa .tortas.everything Eva she is a very good she knows about customer service.she always polite. …
Tacos are great but the woman who takes the orders in the am has a bad attitude towards customers who are not mexican, as long as the mexicans flirt she seems happy!!!

The most amazing gas station tacos! My favorite are the beef tacos and chicken torta! So delish! If you haven't been here, you need to plan a stop out here!
Best street tacos EVER!!! I was working in Dallas at the time and this was our favorite place. Next time we are near by traveling we will stop in!!
Great place to stop for snacks or gas ⛽️ it’s a well lite area if you’re stopping at night or early in the A.M could you a daily cleaning though
Lots of bums & homeless ppl begging for change at the doors. Bank account info was stolen from this location. Go some where else if possible.
If hungry Eddie and car cleaning guy are there, DO NOT GO IN. They will drive you crazy wanting a bite and cleaning your car with degreaser
Awesome tacos estaban mug bien. Quiero mucho mas. I couldn’t come close to finishing all the food. They comes with some much food. …
The worst gas station ever I want to five pump they are not working and one pump takeS 20 minute to put 6 Dollars of gas very badddddddd
Subway was great but the gas station part was too crowded with workers eating lunch and taking up all the parking spots.
Better than Fuel City Tacos. Fuel Town tacos are so good I haven't been to any other street taco spot in over 10 years!
I got the chicken and beef qeusidilla. I liked the chicken but the beef was very flavorful. I will get that next time.
Got it all... Subway in the morning beer and tacos for lunch... Cigar..case of beer and a burrito plate for dinner..
The food is good but the lady taking your order closed the door on me when I was asking her a question she was rude
I'm not going to say the best tacos but they was good chicken and beef. The barbacoa had no flavor at all
The breakfast burritos are for the trash can. The burritos meat is uncooked and has more grease than egg.
Just tried this place it’s really amazing. I’m picky when it come to my tacos. But this was on point
Mexican restaurant is great. You know its on point when the green sauce is hotter than the red.
Convenient location, with a Subway inside. Fast and friendly employees, and great coffee.
Fuel city is 24/7. Lots of choices. Food (good tacos) and drink choices. Gas. Car wash.
Best tacos on this side of town...People from all over D/FW come here! I love it! …

There's a nice taco place there and they have a Subway inside too it's a good place
I had to go to the restroom.. Open, and clean, so I bought some unnecessary snacks
Ordered a torta and it was mostly bread. You dont really get what you pay for ..
Gasoline and related petroleum products all right here for an unreasonable price
Needed to use the rest room but an employee was occupying it and it was so nasty
They have a Mexican Taqueria that has great food. Always good to get a burrito.
Average store as usual, but they'll charge you over $4 for a soda refill!
Gas is a bit high, but everything else is cheap and there is 24 her food.
Not worth it and it is not safe here need security asap or shut it down
Young lady who works there attitude problem but the tacos was good ☺️
No receipt of the pump. Come inside and look at all of their candy
Went there for tacos but they was full of grease and made me sick
