Not much variety, and tanks are poorly stocked in the aquarium section. Bought a fairly expensive fish tank, they verify to make sure equipment is all there. The guy seemed nice but the 'verification' process was quick and focused on the items but not so much thoroughly kn the tank (dim lighting didnt help). Read at the counter they have a 10 day return policy, not for your cash back but for store credit(not eligable for pets and food), which I was fine with. It was a big expensive one so of course I handled it with extreme caution. Brought it home to find there was a slight crack, not massive, but it was not noticable but I knew it could get worst with time. Brought it back and asked to either trade for another one or get the store credit if they had no more. The cashier girl was rude and said the return policy didn't apply to fish tanks. That sort of 'too bad, deal with it' attitude and she obviously had no interest in dealing with me. On the bright side since I refuse to conduct any further business in this establishment, I found a much better pet store with a much more knowledgable and polite staff.

Went there to buy a cat and I asked a simple yet extremely important question to a staff : is this cat a Male or a female, since I already have two female cats I cant have a Male one otherwise the females would be terrorized AND ONE OF MY FEMALE CAT IS NOT STERILIZED, she said it's a female no worries. And that's why I got this cat... 4 days later I brought the new cat to a vet and they said it's a Male... and I had to return the cat because of the safari staff unprofessionalism. Even the manager failed to answer a simple question about a pet gender it's a shame. They caused me money loss and emotional damage since I got attached to this cat. Please dont buy your pets from this place. You'll get horrible experience. Staff and the manager are very unprofessional with poor basic knowledge. Not convinced yet ? When we bought the cat, they told us she was in perfect condition (he actually) but in truth the cat had eye infection and bad respiratory symptoms.

I had the best experience at Safari centre d'animaux. My daughter's fish was not doing very well health wise and we brought it in to speak to the manager about how to nurse it back to good health. Without hesitation, she explained why the fish wasn't doing very well and what we had to do to get it better. She kept the fish there to nurse it back to good health. I can not get over the patience that she had, she calmed down my daughter when she was very anxious about her fish. The manager said that she has experience in this field for over 35 years and had a lot of knowledge about everything. I am blown away by her dedication and all of the staff that also took so much time with us. We are so grateful to meet such lovely people all collaborating together to help us. I would highly recommend this place.

The store doesn't honour their own return policy. I bought an aquarium air pump, explaining to the sales person that I was concerned about the level of noise it would generate. I was told I could return it within ten days for store credit, and I found this information ony sales receipt. A few days later I tried to return the item but was told I couldn't because it had been used on an aquarium and it might have been affected! This is irrelevant as regards the pump's sanitary condition insofar as no part of an air pump contacts the water during normal use, let alone a test (air is pushed at positive pressure through a hose into the water.)

Poor prices and terrible return policy. fish tanks are poorly stocked and variety is low for the sheer size of the store. The only value the store has is in it's aesthetic, the kids really enjoy the visual experience, besides the ambience the store itself is only worth a 1 star review. Overall one of the worst pet shops in the area, bring your kids in to look at the pets if you want, but I'd recommend against spending your money there. Try a local pet store instead, with staff that isn't impersonal and lacking in customer service skills.

I bought two tropical glow fish and was told that they needed a heater in the tank so that these fish can survive, went along & I purchased the heater. After two weeks, my sister went back & got me the types of fish that cleans the tank, 3 of them & in less than two days , the same heater that I bought there overheated and killed the 3 cleaner fish . Ever since that day the heater has been malfunctioning and I was asked to bring in the 3 dead fish in order to get new fish or a refund.

Even if we ignore the substandard return policy, we are usually satisfied with Safari. We visited this Safari for the first time (we usually go to the one in Dix 30) and we were less than satisfied with the service. The lady at the cash, Sammy, was not only rude to us but rude to the other employee that helped us. I don't think it's fair of this worker to belittle her colleagues in front of customers. I think it's safe to say that we won't be returning to Safari in Lasalle.

First impression of the place you get a nice vibe but as you go looking around you start to feel bad for the animals. There is a lot of stock and things to buy but so little space for the animals. The aquarium area is pretty nice but when you look closely at some of the fish tanks some of the fishes look ill. =/ The staff are also a hit and miss. Some are knowledgeable and some have no clue what they are saying. Just trained to sell, sell, sell. heh

Not exciting as I remembered it >< 10 years back. I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of exotic birds and reptiles. Even the fish in the goldfish and coy pond was not as I remembered. I remember passing by the store front listing to all the exotic animals sings and chirping, looking at tucans or monkeys though the front glass sectioned off or even tortoises under sun lamps or eating fresh fruit from the bowls provided by the staff.

I had very awful experience in this store, the store put liquid items in a place where particularly easy to accidentally knock over, I accidentally with the legs gently knocked over half of the liquid, the clerk is very arrogant, let me compensate for it. yeah ok, I paid my fault with full price compensation, but why the remaining liquid did not give me, just let me go. The clerks and cashiers are very cold, very bad!

The store has a cool style and lots of stock. The aquarium section is probably the most impressive part of the store, but the staff is pretty hit or miss. When I was looking for a cat, the employee didn't seem very interested in helping me find one so I ended up going to the SPCA. Still a nice store though and makes for a nice place to wander around and look at animals. Very happy that the cats are all rescues too.

We went there a month ago for my dog dollcy’s pendant. Cashier told us that it will be ready in two weeks, we will call you whenever it is ready. We are waiting since 5 weeks we didn’t get any call, when we asked them on 3rd week they told us that we always make them when it is in bulk. They should have told us that first. I could have made it from amazon in week as well. We finally got a pendant after a month.

I would like to thank katy and Kitana, the two lovely staff that were so kind and knowledgeable on pet information. We got one of the best customer service from katy and Kitana! As new pet owners, we were lost to buy what is good for our kitten. They took their time by explaining everything to us and guiding us to buy the products that are good for our kitten. I cannot thank them more!

Has basically everything you need but not all brands. Just a limited number of brands. Staff seems to have good knowledge. The guy working in the fish department was ready to answer all my questions and even seemed excited to be taking about fish. Prices seem about the same as elsewhere. It has a beautiful, Instagramable coy pond. I miss the bigger coy and turtle from before Covid.

The store seemed really organized in terms of products and the different accessories needed for various animals. Although the state of fishtanks, and how clean they are is awful. I went in there today to purchase a fish and felt incredibly bad for all the animals there. It used to be such an amazing store to visit when I was younger and was able to see the beautiful coral tanks.

Ouf.. where to start. The store really scaled back on pets. Still has fish, birds and rodents. 1 employee seemed as if she didn't want to be there another male employee giving a massage/playing with the hair of a female employee on the salesfloor infront of customers making it quite awkward. At least there was one employee who actually acknowledged us and was approachable.

Nice store with nice employees. Worker named Gab was very informative on the animals there. Although, minus one star because they won't sell me the monkeys I keep asking for. Kept being told "sorry we don't sell monkeys" but then why can I hear them? Hmm? I know they're back they and they're being selfish. This is false advertisement and I want my monkeys!!!!

Nice clean store , full of stock , fish displays are really nice and love the safari truck with the animals when you walk in , staff is pleasant and helpful , I stop in to see new animals everytime I go to the mall ... just too bad you dont have puppies and cats anymore but I understand why , at least they were well taken care there . I would recommend highly

This is one of my favorite pet store locations. They usually have in stock everything you may need for your furry little friends. I also really like the decor that they've set up in the store. It's really unique. The sad part though is that they don't have enough staff available for now and as such they've moved a lot of their animals to different locations.

So nice organized place to bad no more dog to sell I felt bad I didn’t know it’s a new law they can not sell animal anymore however the girl was so nice her name is Sammie she explain to me everything she was soooo nice and friendly and have a lot of knowledge thank you for all the staff at that location for the help needed .love you guys .

My 4 year old demands we visit this "fishy store" as he calls it every now and then. This place is loaded with all kinds of reptiles, fish, exotic birds and rodents of all kinds! Staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and the layout of the store gives you the safari type of tour. Fun, and fully equipped for all your little pet needs.

I give this place 5 stars because it had everything I needed and the service was nice but the only problem is they only have a indoor mall entrance that kind of sucks when u buy a 60 pound bag of dog food and other bones and treats and have to carry them through the mall and then out the exit . But all in all a good store

They have a nice selection of everything. That staff is fairly helpful. The beta fish are in horrible living condition. They are in bright light with nothing in their tanks. The beta clearly look depressed.(Beta dislike direct light, and like to hide) The rest of the animals look well taken care of for the most part.

Very nice place, bought my two kittens there and I got help through the whole process. Whenever I go back, they're always friendly and in a positive energy. The only thing throwing me off for a 5 stars is the fact that the animals are stuck in very small cages and not many toys.

We bought a fish tank today at your store in LaSalle December 27 around 11:00. We couldn't have asked for better service. The man working there answered all our questions and more. He deserves 10 stars. Sorry I didn't ask his name. Make sure you keep this man cause he's great.

Just went there a few minutes ago and the cashier was really rude when checking us out and im pretty sure it was because all 3 of us were wearing masks (we were pretty much the only ones wearing masks) each their choices to wear it or not. Anyway bad attitude , dont recommend

The man working in the fish department was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and answered my questions as well as corrected misinformation I had previously been given. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with him, trust his expertise, and will go back because of it.

This place is a mixed bag. They have a lot of products for animals but they are not allowed to have animals anymore so they don't sell pets. This place was better when they used to sell pets. The staff here are also pretty rude

Most animals were moved to their main location in Broussard. But you can still find accessories and foods for different animals including reptiles (lizards, snakes..) aquatic animals (fish), dogs & cats and birds

The selection of products was good. The staff were just sitting behind the counter and made no attempt to engage me in the 15 mm inutes I was there. That's fine with me, but others might not appreciate it.

It definitely has improved, I got better service. Good effort, keep it up! It is pricey but it's understandable seeing the store - the Koi pond is spectacular. They also have everything, great selection.

I've been buying feeders here for years and never had any problems. Always a quick and easy purchase! Some insects are a bit expensive though, but worms and crickets are generally alright.

I miss the big yellow Python that they had there living in the jeep. I think he passed away a few years ago but I'm not sure exactly. Peace out and Pay it Forward Everyone!!!

Avoid, bought a handful of Glo fish. They developed Ich and died within a couple of weeks. New tank, so the source of the infection is obvious, the store sells sick fish.

We've come here over the years to see the animals and accessories. The staff is friendly and animals seem well taken of. Our favourite is the Koi pond.

A must visit, especially for kids. The decorations are just next level and the space is well used. The staff is also very knowledgeable.

Prices are not great. Often finds better prices at other local pet stores. Staff are often chatting with each other or hard to find.

Clean place, lovely animals and fishes to see and lot of accessories for animal lovers.
