Drying machines not guaranteed to work / No refunds for broken machines. Was traveling in London for the first time and needed to do some wash, figured the reviews would make this a decent enough place to do that. Spent 6 GBP for the wash + soap, which was fine. Then spent 1 GBP to dry my clothes, which got me 10 minutes. 10 minutes later they were still wet, so I put in a second GBP and raised the temperature, figuring maybe this is normal at these launderettes. Still wet, 2 more GBP at full temperature (each GBP is only 10 minutes). During this last attempt, another gentleman walked in with twice as much laundry, put in his batch for 15 minutes, and was out in no time. After my last attempt finished and I realized the machine was busted, I switched to the working machine and let the attendant know the machine I had been using wasn't working. I asked for a refund, which I thought was a reasonable request considering I'd spent the morning there for literally no reason, and it was only 4 pounds to refund. I'd have been content with even half a refund, 2 GBP. But nope, apparently I was supposed to continue using the same machine and she would have reset the time. On the broken machine... that wasn't providing heat. No refunds were permitted otherwise. If I had an issue with it then I had to speak with the manager. I'm on vacation, so screw that. TL;DR: Machines are not guaranteed to work, and refunds will not be given if you happen to pick the broken one.
American travelers in London, look no further. I was a little worried about finding a laundromat that was simple and open at 7p on a Saturday night. I found that at Central Wash. You’ll need £1 coins to operate the machines, £5 for a wash and £1/10 minutes to dry. Also budget in some soap at £1 a cup if you forgot to bring your own, like I did. The whole place is really clean and well-organized. Props to the attendant and/or owners for taking pride in their shop. The attendant was REALLY helpful at not just helping me operate the machines, but in determining coin value (American coins are typically only <$1) when we didn't have much cash anyway. Last wash is 1h before closing. The neighborhood around is really cute, with a church and a Cafe literally across the street, if you don't want to sit and wait for your wash.
Came here after my cloths was washed at Lila’s down the street (they tried to make me pay £12 to dry my clothes). I was able to dry all my cloths at Central Wash for half of that. This place is well maintained, clean and had a person onsite. I didn’t speak with her but saw others engaged her. It looks like she helps out with the wash (£16 for mid load and £20 for larger load per the signs) and oversees this place. They have 2 sizes for washing £6 and £9. Family of 4 and about 4 days of cloths would be the £9. Dryer is £2 to start, or 12 minutes and 6 minutes more per £1. This is a regular laundromat that’s well maintained and in an area that feels very safe. If I’m in the area again, I would come here.
Central Wash is very clean and the hostess was very helpful. It has everything you need to wash and dry your clothes. We did a load of whites and a load of colors for 20 pounds. The hostess would have done all of this for 30 pounds. We are in London for two weeks. Washing our clothes made our packing easier and our luggage lighter. Our hotel, the Marriott Grosvenor Square does not provide laundry machines. They provide a laundry service, but using it would have cost us over 200 pounds to wash a weeks worth of clothes for two people.
Very clean (spotless) and convenient launderette. The machines cleaned really well with no issues. I did the self serve wash as doesn’t take long. A wash cycle is £5 for a small machine (still fits a lot) and lasts just over half an hour, £1 for a cup of soap if needed, £1 for softener, and dryer is £1 for ten minutes. My small wash was totally dry in 20 minutes. I was done in an hour and cost £8 in total for a ‘small’ load. Nice coffee shop opposite on the corner to go use restroom and get a snack while waiting.
Helpful friendly efficient-like another reviewer commented-this was much better option than using the in house laundry service at the Grosvenor House for our 2-week stay in London. I chose drop off service for 2 small loads since we had several cotton items which were washed separately on “delicate”-charge was £30 but done in 2 hrs and worked perfectly. We had used Lila’s on a previous trip but chose this one based on current reviews.
I went to get my clothes at half past five, and found them not dry and untidy, and the employee did not put them in the designated bag, even though I paid the full price to have them washed for me. When I asked her about the reason, she refused to answer and threw an empty bag, and asked me to put my clothes on by myself, and she did not dry well. I do not want to return again. Other than that, this laundry has poor handling
Have just put three lots of washing in three dryers and at the end of the drying session one dryer hadn't heated up and my washing is still wet. The lady working here told me it's my fault for not checking it had not heated up. Wouldn't give a refund and is refusing to put up an out of order note on the faulty dryer. Very annoyed, I see why I should check their equipment its down to the staff and maintenance.
Went back after the first time were I didn't find a nice service but then Fatmira was there. She is amazing, always helpful and with a smile ❤️ thank you! Again people make the difference Not so cheap but does the work. The lady who is in there was not so empathic and lovely. People for me makes the difference and you want to go back where you feel welcomed.
Some cycles don't collect the soap from it's compartments. Your £5/£7 Cycle finishes and then the soap is still inside. When you speak to management for help they'll refuse to restart the cycle because "it costs money". Better to use another laundrette close by so you don't go home with dirty clothes like me or spend £10/£14 unnecessarily.
Extremely rude staff. The lady with fringe and silver hair was forcing me to have 2 dryers saying it was overloaded, of course, I didn't listen to her, but it could have been dangerous for me as she was extremely aggressive saying I was not the boss there. Unbelievable that Central London has such a savage customer service.
Christine was so friendly and was able to accommodate our needs for wash and fold within 2 hours. As we were running late to pick up the clothes, she went above and beyond to ensure our clothes got inside the uber we ordered and reached us! This really made my night as I had to travel the next day. Amazing place!
The mashines are old and not luked after,a lots of dirt. Prices increased, but the quality is going rapidly down. Some driers do the job, some don't. Washing mashines aren't working properly, specially soap sections. The staffs attitude "if there is a problem it's not my fault" and sorting nothing.
Very convenient and clean launderette located in Marylebone. A few cafés and bakeries near by to kill time if you must. There was a previous review giving a bad rep for demanding to use 2 dryers for larger loads. The posted image may clarify this misunderstanding by the bitter customer.
This place is fantastic. Clothes always washed and pressed immaculately. Today I arrived as Cristina had already closed the whole place down and she RE-opened it just for me (because I was leaving for the weekend but need my shirts washed/pressed for Monday). Great people. Five stars.
Very clean place, friendly staff, and wahing machines all in good order. They have detergent and softener there but I'd bring my own as they charge a lot for the convenience. There are several good cafés nearby so you don't need to wait around in the launderette during cycles.
We used the service wash here while we were traveling. They were helpful, friendly, and did a great job. The price seemed reasonable we paid 14 pounds for about 6kg of laundry. Allowed us to enjoy our trip without having to sit in front of a washer all day.
Simple Do-It-Yourself laundry, with friendly ladies to help you out if it's your first time. You need 1 pound coins to operate the washer (7 pounds per wash of 7kgs) and heater (1 pound for 10 minutes, if you wash 7 kgs maybe 30 minutes will be OK)
Five pounds for small loads, eight for big. One pound for detergent. Two pounds for twelve minutes in the dryer, one pound per additional six minutes. I had no issues at all. Would be nice to be able to just tap a creditcard instead of using cash.
We stopped into Central Wash this morning to drop off a load for service wash. The attendant was friendly and very helpful. The cost was quite reasonable and the washing and folding was well done. Central Wash has my highest recommendation.
Very clean, inexpensive and a good selection of large and small machines and dryers. 3-day wash and iron bag wash available or you can wash your own and they will iron for £2.50/piece. Dry cleanings also available. Helpful friendly staff.
Great! Not busy 30 mins to wash 3 loads then 30 mins to dry each load. Was able to use 3 washing machines & dryers as my machine broke down. Haven't been to a laundrette for 10 years. Cost £5 per wash and £1 per 10 minutes for dryer.
Would be great if you updated your google business details to reflect correct opening times. We are here on vacation & walked down today at 9am to discover you don’t open until 10am on a Sunday. Google search states you open at 9am.
Extremely rude staff. It says they close at 7pm. At 6:50pm she was kicking me out. She wouldn’t let me put my clothes in the bags. She said I could do it home. I told her I was going to do it since it says outside they close at 19h
Came here many times to wash my clothings while staying in Marble Arch... I felt like living in the 90s doing this, but that’s how you do things when you don’t wanna spend so much having your hotel wash your clothings....
Used to be a good local launderette, it seems it may have been taken over during virus and it has gone downhill fast. Not great people there. And a shoddy cavalier, opportunistic, approach to business and to customers..
Great little laundrette. Close to Baker St tube. There are lots of machines, so generally no waiting. The lady in charge (with platinum hair) was very helpful, and keeps the machines very clean. Highly recommended!
Helpful staff. We had almost a full suitcase of clothes which for in a single load in a large washing machine. It took about an hour to wash and dry and cost 11£. They have a change machine and detergent dispenser.
Perfection. Found myself in a pinch with shifty and non responsive airbnb hosts. I found the space to be efficient, clean, professional. The lovely lady who works there was happy to help with my questions.
Clean and tidy inside. Self serve washing machines (8x JLA 16lbs £6 and 4x JLA 30lbs £9) and dryers (8x Speedqueen). Dry cleaning services. Change machines provide £1 coins for up to £20 notes.
As a former laundromat operator back in the US, I can say this place is just about perfect for a small neighborhood laundromat. Clean. Attendant on duty who is actually helpful.
RIP off people. After 8 years of loyal custom they over charge me then blame me for their mistake. WARNING!! Do not use this company or service. All just a bit rude really.
This is exactly what you want in a laundry - beautifully folded, clean, on time, and reasonably priced. And the owner (I think) is just so polite and lovely to deal with.
I have used this service on 3 occasions and it has been great. The pressing and folding is perfect, its not expensive for the area and the owner is friendly and helpful
Great place to get all of my washing done quickly with no fuss. The Venue and all its machines are very clean and the attendants are friendly and always have a smile.
Clean shop and helpful attendant. Machines worked perfectly. Need to talk cash for self serve although credit cards and ApplePay are accepted for full service.
Amazing launderette experience. Everything is cleaned and organized, there is a change machine to give you coins and the staff is extremely nice and helpful.
Clean, quiet easy access. Change machines available for notes, ATM at Tesco about 300m around corner. Good breakfast spots across road for while you wait
A nice and clean establishment with 8 mid sized machines and 4 for heavier loads. Friendly and helpful staff on premises that was wonderful and helpful.
Very clean and well-maintained laundrette. Has a washing powder / fabric conditioner dispenser, and also a change machine if you only have paper money.

The shop and machine was clean and maintenance. Friendly staff and helpful. They purvide washing liquid and conditioner also coin exchange machines.
Great place… big and neat. The lady who works there is completely lovely and very helpful. It was a pleasure to go there and get stuff clean.
Change machine available. Do not accept credits cards which stands to reason. Clean, functional premises plus a very helpful attendant.
The machine are amazing and with £6 you can properly dry your clothes , but bring your coins and don’t let the staff help you !
Very clean place to to do your laundry. A little expensive but is safe(Covid wise) and the machines are all in good order.
A very clean and efficient service especially with the help from the lady attendant. We highly recommend this laundromat!
Nice lady have actually been there before to be reccomended especially for big items like Mattress toppers and duvets
Very clean inexpensive for aria and the young lady that does the service wash is extremely helpful and sweet.
The staff are lovely and make me feel so welcome. Great facilities and opening hours for those who work 9-5.

Dropped our clothes off. They were done in two hours. All for 14 pounds. Very friendly staff.
