On March 16th I found myself at an emergency 24 hour animal hospital with my puppy vomiting all over the place. The doctors there were suggesting we order blood work, take a pancreatitist test, take xrays, etc without ever offering the Parvo snap test to me. Clearly I was in a panic over my sick puppy and the fact that I wasn't at my regular vet's office, Carmel Mountain Ranch. I decided to call our regular doctor, Dr. Gray. While at the emergency hospital Dr. Gray, Dr. Matsuda and vet assistant Felicia assisted me in my decision making. The first thing they asked was if the emergency hospital had taken the Parvo snap test yet, and I told them they hadn't suggested that test yet. They immediately told me to request the test. The other hospital said they didn't recommend it yet, and my doctors at RCMVH were adamant that they do the test. Thankfully they did because he came back Parvo +! The other hospital was going to have me pay for a whole bunch of unnecessary services first! Unbelieveable! I'm am so grateful for those 3 at RCMVH for assisting me with this emergency matter and always being so RIGHT! I've been going to CMRVH since they took part in saving my cat's life almost 4 years ago. It's like a family over there! Thank you for always being there for my furry babies, even if it's only over speaker phone at another animal hospital! You guys are the reason why my puppy is alive today. Had the Parvo test not been offered to me when it was suggest by your team, I wouldn't have treated him in during the most crucial time of the virus. Thank you Felicia, Dr. Gray and Dr. Matsuda! You guys are absolutely the best!

Horrible service all around.. I received a reminder that my dog was due for her” rabies vaccine”.. No mention of anything more.. I scheduled an appointment for her to receive her vaccine.. I unfortunately work in the Bay Area and had my son take my dog to the appointment.. To my surprise, my bill was 173.00.. I didn’t realize rabies vaccines cost that much so I called.. She actually didn’t receive the rabies vaccine, which was what the notice stated she needed.. She received an annual exam and other vaccines I had no knowledge she needed.. They stated that I needed to come back for her rabies.. This a classic bait and switch (BBB) In addition, the “nurse” is extremely condescending, sarcastic and argumentative.. These ppl do not belong in any type of healthcare.. People or animals... They cannot emphatically listen and understand why I would be upset that I scheduled services which was recommended by them and not rendered but rather come out with something else.. Again- she did not receive her rabies vaccine.. What does that sound like to you?

Amazing vet, they really treat you with the most respect, when my dog Bruiser started going down hill they were the best I could have asked for Dr. Ashbaugh was absolutely amazing, he was able to give Bruiser 3 extra months for me to spend with him, pain free, and when the time did come they were absolutely amazing, we did have to wait a little bit longer than I would have liked in the room with Bruiser (he was starting to get anxious and scared) but some thing's came up that they had to deal with and I completely understand it. once he passed the vet office will send your pet at your request to, Circle of life pet cremation services which also did an amazing job, they will privately cremate your pet, put them in an urn of your choice and give you a ceramic paw print of your pet, I also purchased the keychain urn so I could keep Bruiser with me wherever I went. all in all both services are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them.

Our nine week old puppy, Bandon, started vomiting and having diarrhea in the middle of the night. It lasted all night. The next day Dr. Grey fit us in even though their schedule was full. She and Felicia spent the entire morning making sure he was ok. They made sure that Bandon didn’t have Parvo or Giardia and gave him fluids because he was dehydrated. They came up with a treatment plan with options depending on how he responded. I love everyone at Carmel Mountain Ranch Vet. They are all kind, caring, and obviously love working with animals (and their humans).

My dog has fleas... I have gotten flea medication prescribed from this vet every year since he was born. I went to get a prescription and they refused unless I fork up for an annual check up... first appointment not available for a month! Middle of a pandemic with a house full of fleas, that im stuck with for a month, so they can make a quick $150 bucks to tell me my dog is healthy and now I can get flea medication. Anyone know of a place that cares about pets or humans over a few bucks in the midst of this pandemic? Please leave their number...

It is with a heavy heart I write this review as we had to put down our 8 y/o kitty yesterday. Lymphoma. We planned a much longer life with him, and the news of his illness was very challenging. But this Veterinarian was extremely compassionate and went above and beyond. Dr Menghani would call me after hours all the time to check in on him and how he was doing. She and the rest of the staff were a god-send during these last few months. One day I will have another animal, and I will have this facility as care giver.

The level of compassion and care and that Dr. Liz Grey and her staff has shown to me and my beloved pets, I have nothing but high praise for this wonderful facility, which in my opinion, does everything possible to ensure the best outcome for my loved one at a reasonable price. Her highly trained specialists are here for one reason - to give your pet the very best care available. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone that truly loves their animals as much as (and sometimes more than) any family member.

I have been taking my pets here for the past 20 years. My little girl Maddie receives the best care from everyone here; the entire staff is wonderful. Dr. Grey herself is amazing, warm, and informative - and every one of her nurses share similar characteristics. I've never felt sold up, lied to, etc, like I have with other vets. I've had to go elsewhere due to moves here and there, but I always come back, I drive 30 minutes just to take my dog here now! I highly advise them.

Been with Dr. Grey and staff for 12 years. They provide excellent care and compassion to our two dogs and our family especially when we were close to losing our older dog. The mere fact that they remember all the pets names when they walk in the door is amazing to me and that they ask about your other pet when you only bring one in shows how much they care. I can't recommend them highly enough and look forward to many more years of our pets being in their care!

Great place if you live in the area and have pets. Their customer service is pretty good. They do get busy and sometimes you have to wait around a bit, but I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get in or speak to a vet or technician. They always take their time to explain things and give different treatment options. We've lived in the area a long time and have had two older pets put down here. When the time comes, they handle it well.

Dr. Grey is knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner with her patients. She put all of us at ease during our last emergency visit, I was afraid of losing my cat after he got into a fight and was bitten and limping. I couldn't believe how good he looked when we got him back, her recommendations and the kindness of her staff really helped us both get through it. I recommend her clinic in Carmel Mountain Ranch for cat owners especially.

I think this review is long over due. Although I don’t go here anymore, my parents have been going to Carmel Mt Vet for over 20 years, which really says a lot. Dr. Grey is amazing and knows our family and our pets so well. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and truly cares about animals. They’re absolutely great when u want to come in and spend a bunch of money, but when you really need help from them that does not involve directly spending money, good luck getting them to help you and be responsive about it, especially when they are busy. I’ve taken my dog there for several years now and the experience I recently had with them is enough to start taking my dog Cupid somewhere else.

I love bringing my dog here! They're so good at making my pup feel comfortable and relaxed. The vet and vet techs are all very friendly and helpful. This is the one and only veterinary hospital that I can claim has affordable prices. They are always offering different sales and special offers that makes you feel good about taking your pet to the vet. Definitely recommend!

I had taken my dogs to Dr. Ashbaugh for many years before he started with Carmel Mountain Ranch. He is a wonderful vet with a gentle bedside manner. I wish my home was closer to the new facility that he works in. Dr. Ashbaugh... Quincy misses you. We've been taking our cockatiels here for several years and have been very satisfied. Not all vets treat birds and Dr. Grey's careful and knowledgeable handling of our little guys and gal puts us very much at ease. She knows what keeps a bird healthy and the proper tests to take if they become ill. Her assisting technicians are superb.

The vets are not only quality doctors they are very caring and loving toward my pets, I have taken my pets here for over a decade! even the front desk staff are very friendly, helpful, and customer service oriented (people and pets!) and the online appointment system is easy to use.
