Hot chocolate was smooth, chocolatey and all-round delicious. The white chocolateoose cake was good but I have one suggestion, make the moose and the bottom cake part a 1:1 ratio and it would be amazing. The h and cheese croissant was really good. Would recommend

A couple of weeks ago I was practising drawing buildings while eating eggs Benedict and a nice waitress said she liked my picture. I was drawing Chernobyl NPP before it blow up. When the virus goes away I would like to eat and draw there again.

4 of the last 5 times I have visited for something to eat, they never have their eftpos machine working, so expect cash. But they dont mention that fact until after you have made your order. And/or they have switched off certain appliances

we ordered 2 coffees and a scone to share for morning tea. The coffee was average and the scone was rock hard - in fact I struggled to cut it with a knife, not to mention attempting to chew it. We got 1 napkin between us. Very disappointing

So noisy in there! Heavy chairs scraping the floors, coffee machine was really really loud. Peoples voices echoed throughout. We asked for toasted sandwiches but got dry toast instead. We could hardly hear each other talk. Won’t go back.

Customer service was appalling. We had sat out side prior to ordering some cookies and the owner came out and told us to move along. As the tables are only for “South Gate cafe customers only” went inside for our cookies and terrible

Very easy going cafe, doesn’t mean they aren’t busy, the space is quite large and therefore the crowd of people stopping through was less than noticeable. Awesome staff who are keen to help with your requests.

I ordered the Veggie Breaky. Scrambled eggs were way overdone. Mushrooms were swimming in oil & the tomato was cold & tasteless. Unfortunately the toast was also cold & had too much butter. I ate the avocado.

A pleasant surprise. Walked in not knowing the menu. The owner just made me what I asked for regardless. Something you don't find much any more, especially when a business is run by employees only. Great job.

Ordered chicken snitzel chips and gravy. First one was a bit over cooked they were friendly and replaced it with out an issue next one was perfect. Highly recommended

The cafe was very casual today. Not much noise inside. Their coffee was good,not bitter after taste.
