The venue has an amazing view. The food is probably slightly above average for similar cuisine, but not for the price. The service and atmosphere is probably the letdown. Again, not that it's terrible, but really not up to the standard you'd expect from a restaurant aiming in this sphere. It's not "crazy expensive" but it's definitely at the higher end where you'll expect something fairly special. For example; We had numerous occasions where we didn't have drinks. Probably would have ordered a bottle of red wine with our tomahawk steak, rather than sitting empty after a bottle of (let's just say expensive) champagne with our starters. The menu appears to have four courses, but we ended up getting our first and second course at the same time. It was all a bit rushed and not the immersion you'll get at somewhere like Agnes or Exhibition. Dessert/Cheese was a letdown too, cheddar so hard I almost bent a knife trying to cut it... If it's really that hard by design (and not dried out) then it probably needs to be cut before being plated. One guest ordered a digestive which arrived in an enormous glass and looked tiny, so I asked if it was a 15ml or 30ml pour. Rather than check and confirm, the waitress came to the table and tried to demonstrate it was a 30ml by pouring from one small metal cup to another large glass. It was a strange theatrical display to a simple question and did little to make anyone comfortable. Infact the opposite. I'm not sure what it proved either as it may have been better to ask if we wanted another. If you're rushed, and just want pretty good meal in/out then this might be for you.

I had read a lot about BOS… being the beef fanatic and enthusiast that I am. And had understood a lot about what Chef Adrian Richardson wanted to capture and create with this restaurant. WOW! The decor and style of the restaurant is perfect. Modern and extremely stylish but still has a traditional feel. The staff and their level of customer service is 1st class and incomparable. Truely impeccable. Special mention to our personal wait staff… Salome. She was absolutely wonderful. Her natural warmth and unparalleled and incomparable customer service was something to appreciate beyond words. The food…. Well… I can’t really say anything other than…. Spectacular beyond description. The dedication and care shown to the selection and preparation of the produce, seafood and most importantly the BEEF. This is all, also.. incomparable. They have the most premium of premium beef, seafood and produce you’ll find anywhere. All in all…. The food, the staff, the service.. the atmosphere and decor…. Everything was incomparable and impeccable. For anyone who has a real appreciation for the finest seafood, produce and BEEF. I strongly suggest you book in at BOS.

Came for my birthday which was mentioned in the reservation. Strange walking in, I recognised the owner from social media standing at the bar and said hello, he suggested starting with a drink overlooking the river. I thought that sounded nice but the person taking care of us insisted we go to our table. The waiter was dismissive and quick to walk away from the table, even if you were mid sentence. When he asked for feedback on the food my friend did try to provide feedback that the steak wasn’t very impressive, a bit chewy. I’ve been to some fantastic steak restaurants domestic and overseas and I would agree, it was sub par for the price and apparent marbling score of 8. While providing this feedback he walked away mid conversation. Despite my sister mentioning to the waiter it was my birthday, none of the staff acknowledged it including the waiter. My friend told the waiter she didn’t wish to hear about history of the ducks that are used for the menu as she has a soft spot for ducks but he insisted and continued his story which made her very unhappy. Music was also far too loud to carry normal conversation. This was a highly underwhelming and disappointing experience and I really wish I didn’t select this restaurant for an occasion. Definitely not worth the money or your time. I see that others have had similar experiences but the responses from the business are not offering to rectify your poor experience, just apologising and suggesting you come back. Spend more money somewhere you would probably receive the same service? I don’t think so.

From the moment the doors open the experience starts. Beautiful sophisticated decor, friendly greeting and the smell that wafts from the wood fired grill set the scene for what can only be described as a remarkable dining experience. Overlooking the river with beautiful views of the Story bridge . The service is seamless and has a Michelin quality to it. Attentive, friendly extremely professional. Then comes the food. Every bite making a journey for your senses. Impeccably plated down to the smallest detail. It's true we eat with our eyes but it's just the beginning. Standout for me was the tuna tartare. Complex layering of flavours and so tender. The scallops with a beautiful caramelized layer and creamy tender to the bite. Then comes the beef and it's almost impossible to put into words how good it was. The sides were a stand out on there own perfectly dressed and seasoned. Honestly hands down The best restaurant I have ever been to. Thank you to the whole team at Bos for an incredible night and experience, I look forward to returning very soon

Disappointing. We had an early reservation (5pm) so we could catch a show round-the corner at 6. We were the only diners in till 5:30 but were popped between a view impeding pole and a concrete column with drink buckets stacked round it at the back of the (completely empty) restaurant? Meals were passed over to us and the waiter moved the drink buckets when it was time to settle the bill and tap our cards) We ordered straight away - food took 40 minutes - the duck was great but the lamb was rough. Kitchen staff seemed to be having a tricky time as an audible expletive boomed from there mid meal. We had had to go to the bar to order our own drinks, as despite only 2 other tables seated when we left , no wait staff were free to take an order. So.... in a nut shell ok meal/poor service/Nice view if your not behind a pole... Here's a picture of the pole( yes the most memorable part of the experience) - the chair had been in front of it - but we couldn't pull it out far enough to wedge in, so had to move it to the side. What's the hype? To be fair the olive green velvet bench seats were to die for

UPDATE: I am happy to say that the owner of BOS read this review and called me about this issue. He investigated what happened and reimbursed the extra charges. All the interactions were very pleasant which was also appreciated. Beware of over being over charged! Dined here with some friends. Unfortunately we were kind of rushed through our sitting as we had a car accident on the way in so we were 15 minutes late. Overall the food was really good. However, after we got home and checked the receipt we realised we were over charged by $103! Our main meal items were all charged at much more than was listed on the menu. Then our bank statement showed we actually paid an additional $8.18 more than the total price on the receipt. I contacted the restaurant on a number of occasions and unfortunately there has been no resolution and we have had to forward the matter to fair trading. It’s a really disappointing experience. So sure, eat here it’s nice, but check not just the items on your receipt but the price they are charging you.

A good dining experience but not great. Steak was good, atmosphere so so.. a few issues 1. No signage from the Queen st entry, or in the lift which made it harder to locate. 2. Entree size was very limited for the mixed tasting board for the $. 3. We were fortunate enough to be against the window looking out to the story bridge, but the glass was extremely dirty. 4. Choices for steak sides was extremely limited, no mash potatoes, no veggies, no onion rings, only greens was beans. 5. Sauce, so we both requested chimichurri and received a teaspoon of sauce for a 300gr steak. 6. When we booked they asked if it was for a special occasion, it was actually for an anniversary. Not even a mention of this! 7. Toilet is literally the other side of the building. 8. Multiple waiters, through our sitting we had about 5 different people serve us. Normally you are given one waiter and a Sommelier. Overall dinner was good, but with almost a $500 bill expectations were not met.

We went to celebrate EOFY, the service was impecable with a very knowledgable server (sorry can't remember his name), he was able to answer all our questions about the menu and cuts of meat. Highlights of the food, entrees - the Beef Tataki was the standout, with the scallops and octopus also very nice. Mains, from recommendation we went with the Waygu 2GR Tomahawk, T-bone Bistecca and Wagyu Short Rib Cap. Each was spectacular in there own way, cooked to perfection Med-rare with perfect flame grilled crust. Highly recommend the Smoked Bone Marrow butter as well. If your tossing up which steak restaurant to go to, this is the place to go..... And when the Aviary Terrace is back, this will be an unbeatable combination. Thanks again for a AWESOME night. It was quite a disappointing visit as we held high expectations since their opening. Maybe “sophistication” and “luxurious dining experience” is an exaggeration, but interiors were stylish and meat quality cannot be dismissed. As we walked in during lunchtime with only two other tables occupied, we stood at the counter for quite a while before anyone serviced us. And again to order food. A good selection of steaks with a decent price range, but was not reflected in the cooking. We ordered two steaks and sides which took close to 45 minutes to arrive. Disregarding the long wait time, our steaks were much overdone for a rare, and lacked a crust. We approached the waiter on our feedback, but the team was unresponsive in return. Additionally, all we could hear throughout our dining experience were chefs and staffs conversing loudly with inappropriate languages in the kitchen. Would not recommend but hope they reflect on their service.

For months I had been wanting to go to BOS and my husband and I finally went for our wedding anniversary. It was a late dinner and we were lucky to have Adrian welcome us in and offer us a champagne while waiting for our table. The staff were fun and conversational. The food was incredibly delicious and we are big foodies. The Rump Cap was tender and cooked to perfection, the rocket salad as Adrian had suggested was delis. The dessert - well - I love lime and I love meringue - so that's what I chose and it was delicious. The sommelier was attentive and knows her wines, and the wait staff were really great. Such a beautiful experience. When a window seat came available they moved us for the view which was mesmerising. 100% be back soon!

My husband and I dined here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We started with a pre-dinner drink at The Aviary Terrace Bar, which is just across the walkway from Bos. Jai took care of us for the evening, and we could not fault his service. He was attentive without being intrusive, and he really made our evening a lot of fun. The wine was divine, and the steak was like no other I have ever experienced. Safe to say, the best meal we have ever had in Brisbane. It was such a special evening, and the staff at Bos made it even better. Thankyou for taking care of us. Bos might just be our annual anniversary dinner restaurant from now on!

Excellent food and service! It’s not often you walk into a restaurant and they get everything perfect! We dined there last night and had the absolute best experience I have ever had at a new restaurant. The service was attentive yet not too invasive. The dining room is spacious, very comfortable, with great views and the background music gave the place a bit of a vibe, without being too loud. The food was delicious, steak was beautifully cooked and the wine suggestion was spot on! We are already discussing when we will next return.

We dined there on a Saturday night for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we had a table that was very close to the kitchen which meant that we had quite a lot of noise from the chefs/kitchen. In general, the wait staff seemed stressed. Our waiter was basically running between tables at one point. Our steaks were reasonable. However, with the exception of the mash potato, which was excellent, our sides were bland. We also had to ask for the 'complimentary' glass of champagne to be taken off our bill at the end of the evening. For the prices that are charged, I wouldn't recommend or go back there.

Absolutely beautiful food and restaurant is amazing. Well done Adrian another stunning restaurant. Unfortunately the service needs “much” attention. My husband received his Negroni and my drink was forgotten. When it did arrive waiter thought it was ok to touch my arm while apologising We both agreed that staff had no direction. Anyway without going into too much detail we were travelling from Melbourne, so know Adrian and his restaurants quite well. Many thanks to the Chefs who did an outstanding job. Delicious

I had a lunch here with a business contact today and needless to say this place continues to impress. While I’ve previously tried a number of the different steaks on the menu, this time I tried the sand crab lasagna, with house salad and wagyu fat potatoes which was excellent. The in-house sommelier, Lucie, recommended a white to pair with the main and it balanced well with the lasagna. For dessert lovers - the crème brûlée also was a good finish with closing remarks by my guest “wow that was amazing”. Thanks to the Chef, staff band Bos team for another enjoyable experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

We enjoyed our meal at Bos, but there was a few service and attention to detail issues. The meal was nice (if a little pricey for the quality) but the service left us feeling like we were an inconvenience! The servers were friendly but forgot our table multiple times - after waiting ages, we had to ask to order (twice) and then had to ask for the bill (twice). We weren’t offered any mustards like other tables were, and had to ask. The server who gave us the mustard acted like it was an inconvenience. One of our steaks also didn’t come with the Jus listed on the menu, and we were given the wrong sides.

Great meat dishes and an entertaining night with Chef Adrian Richardson. I attended with a Work function and Adrian prepared a series of share plates of amazing, tasty and tender meats including suckling pig and tomahawk steaks and lamb. Everything was very tasty and the steaks were melt in your mouth tender. The service was on point all night for a big group. Adrian put on a great show describing this sausage making techniques which a bit a fun.

My husband and I were very impressed with our experience at BOS restaurant. We had a romantic dinner with a beautiful view. The food was sensational. The lamb back strap was so tender and cooked to perfection, and the fish was delicious, the array of flavours suited so well. The vibe was great. Special thanks to our waiter Salomé who was so welcoming and friendly, she guided us through the menu and helped us decide, even the wine she chose for me was perfect. The whole experience for us was wonderful. I will definitely be recommending to all my friends!

Started out great but when the main dishes came the fish had two bones in it. The waitress noticed my daughter pulling the bone out of her mouth after nearly choking. She just glazed over it and kept walking. When asked if everything was okay I said we found two bones in the fish and showed them as we placed them on the tablecloth. Again nothing was said. It was a poor end to what could have been a great experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed lunch here today. My steak was devine, one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever had. The crust on it was fabulous. We had a selection of four entrees, each of them delicious. And if you’re feeling indulgent then do yourself a favour and try the Tiramisu, it’s so good!!! Restaurant setting is stylish, view is gorgeous and the staff are friendly. The evening was perfection! Great service and excellent food! Those potatoes are heavenly and the steak cooked to perfection. I was dubious of the liquorice ice cream, but it worked perfectly with the chocolate. Highly recommend this restaurant. Meat loves salt and salt loves meat…. I’ve been a couple of times now so held off on this review until I was sure. Walking in through a steel shroud and into a green marble lined bar is beautiful. Then you turn and see the view. Wow. The steaks were amazing. Pink and juicy, but with a crust. Sides were fantastic and the service was perfect. Maybe they missed a few things in the first week or so, don’t know, just easily the best restaurant in Brisbane.

Came for dinner here on Saturday evening. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Oyster starters were very fresh and good size, even got some Tabasco sauce that I requested. I went to BOS last night and as a super foodie I have to say I was impressed. We had three entrees and are still debating which was the best. The steak is the best I've had in Brisbane. The sommelier (Lucy) was knowledgeable and helpful and all recommendations were appreciated. Thanks BOS for an incredible night. We will be back!!!!

I have been wanting to come to Bos since knowing it was opening. The wait was worth it and exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic night with impeccable service, amazing food and great views. This restaurant transported me to a dining experience I have been craving in Brisbane for a long time. Well done Bos, we will be back!

One of the worst dining experience. 30min wait for the waiter, 1 hour wait for the food, essentially 1.5 hour wait just for the food to show up. Wanted the steak done medium, came out looking like medium-rare. I don't know how its possible but the steak was very bland, even with the jus. Will definitely not be back.

Lovely ambience, great steak and a top notch wine list super crisp wagu fat potato's and a rib eye steak that melts in your mouth. The Sandcrab lasagne and BOS tartar with quail egg are also highly recommended
