I've had 2 recent experiences with the "new digital only store". The first early morning with 2 tills in use and a empty shop.Till 1 was dealing with a customer service issue and was on the phone to a call center. till 2 was occupied by customers waiting for there goods to be brought out from the rear storage area. FYI the shop has(had) no collection points anymore and you wait at the till for your goods, tying up that till until your goods arrive and you leave. The store manager was pottering about so i quizzed him about the service and he jumped on one of the free 8 tills available and served me. This all took 10mins to get my reserved item. I can only imagine the ques when its busy at weekend. Since then i have noticed that one till has been converted to a collection area(going back to its roots) but no waiting area!!!! On my second try i ordered online using the fast track method but the fact that people at the fast track till still wait there its not so much fast track when its busy. Also i wasnt given a receipt and was told my email was my receipt but as of today i still havn't received a email so ihave to deal with customer services(OMG) for that and to top it all i didnt receive my £10 voucher for spending over £100. Altogether a very disappointing attemp by argos to digitse everything. Take a sip of JD before attemping the new argos at the fort this xmass, ho ho ho.

A spacious, clean store!!.. However I’m put off with the service I just received or should I say lack of service!!.. The store was not busy at all, just myself and 2 other people in the store.. I was struggling with trying to order two dolls from the same store.. There were 3 workers at the till, 2 ladies on a till each and a guy just stood there.. so I said I’m struggling and asked if they could help me with trying to order from the same store or if I ordered a home collection would I get it the same day her answer ‘I don’t know’ then she carried on talking to the other girl, so I went to ask again and she said rather impatiently ‘go and get me the catalogue number and I’ll check for you’ So I went back to the machine and figured it out myself!!.. Will not be going back in there, Don’t need to be badly spoken to by some grumpy young lady at all.. Sort it out ARGOS

My husband waited with the rest in the queue. When it was his turn. He asked to view the item first to make sure about it before buying. But the person who served him who happened to be the manager told him to wait because there are other customers waiting. So disappointing that my husband patiently waited for his turn but when it's was his turn he was told to wait again so other customers will be served first because the manager's reason was he was only viewing the item when in fact we really wanted to buy it which we did buy in the end. What the manager did was so upsetting even the way she looked at us like we're not customers at all. She got more mad when my husband made a complaint regarding the matter. She was so rude and disrespectful and for us she failed to act as a real manager the way she treated us and handled the complaint.

What a bunch of scruffs. They tried to claim the item i brought back for a return wasn't the actual item. Told me to take it back to the store i got it from, but they phoned that store and told them not to take it back. In the end i took it back to heaton park argos. Refunded.. Store is full of a bunch scruffs who have never seen the kind of money i spent. Even the 'security guard' who tried to act all bad was just a scruff. Bassically treated me like a criminal. 2.7k refunded by Heaton park. Next time get off your high horse you brokies

Sale manager '' martin '' ( not sure name accurate ) disgusting service shocking , i purchased cooker hub broken within 3 months , he smirking . even accused me no using this cooker for business which i never done , also he said that '' why you always problem here again . we not made that cooker , we just sell it out . may be made from china '' WORSE ever service , ispoke to the store manger regarding unacceptable remark . store manger said that he just joke .. WHAT ? i really wonder still running business this disgraceful service .

A well run branch. Waiting times are reasonable considering the volume of customers. Lost a star because I’m not such a fan of the concept of catalog buying. One of the few strong points that a brick and mortar shop has over online retail, is the ability to see the object in real life and compare against the rest of the shelf prior to purchase. However, the staff are pleasant, and the branch is run efficiently according to its business model.. so if this is your preferred method of shopping, you can mentally add the star back in.

Very bad customer service. Wouldn't even give a star. Was waiting to be served and was ignored by members of staff who were too busy having a good chin wag. Complained to the manager (Chris) who did not care at all and dismissed my complaint saying "Thank you for your feedback". Bad managers = bad staff = bad customer service. I'll go to Curry's to buy electrical goods in future. You lost yourself custom.

Customer service here is shocking! I came in to collect an item which was sat on the rack for 20mins while staff stood chatting and joking with each other, completely ignoring the customers stood waiting. Looking through the comments, clearly this wasn’t a one off! Unfortunately the staff let the store down, otherwise the location is perfect as you are surrounded by many other major chains.

Terrible service, one person on check out Queue of 3 people waiting, Wednesday afternoon 2.30 do hardly a high peak time... Had a reservation number so tried to use the " quick pay" and that wasn't accepting both my items, Asked for help woman just looked at me like I asked for a million pound!! Ended walking out without my items as totally useless in there! Would not recommend!!

A big shout out to Mr John the manager,very good and humble manager,very considerate, I live 6miles away from this shop and is not the closest to me but knowing that is a place that has great team .Mr John thank you for helping to sort out my air fryer and Henry hover. They don't even deserve one star . Avoid buying this store I bought hoover and when i tried to use it was overheating .i returned to the store, they refused to refund reason being contact manufacturer I said it is within 30days why should I contact manufacturers I will not buy anything again. Stuff are rude and useless

I came to buy a laptop charger. I had brought the laptop with me. I wanted to check whether the charger would be compatible with my laptop or not; but the store people were unable/ unwilling to help me with that. So, if you want to buy products compatible with your device, this is not the place to come.

I've always had a good experience when shopping at the Manchester Fort Argos. In the main they have most items in stock, and their click and collect service is simple and convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful, and returns have never been an issue.

Terrible customer service a lady called Beth was extremely rude to me. Demanding I got in a queue when there was no queue I tried to explain this and got told abruptly to walk round the one way system despite the fact the shop was empty . Absolute disgrace

Argos is a catalogue store where you can find pretty much anything, furniture, jewelry, toys, clothes, cooking accessories. I have never experienced huge queues in this particular store and the staff seem pretty friendly.

Desparetley slow, really not a great experience. Purchased goods were sitting on the shelf in front of us but no one available (or bothered) to hand them over. Some management/leadership is needed in this store!

I simply reserved from home and paid from self service. While there was a very long queue of people waiting to be served, it took me just about 2 minutes to get my order.
