I can only express disappointment with Alta Vista Flowers. My mother passed away last week and on Friday evening I received a phone call from a delivery driver that he had some flowers for delivery but couldn't find my address. Apparently all instructions, including postal code were correct, but for the street name, which was transposed to begin with a "B" instead of a "T". He told me he would try to get to my neighbourhood, about 15km away but was doubtful. I then received a call from the office saying they would deliver my flowers the next day, Saturday. By late afternoon Saturday I received no flowers and the business was closed when I called to inquire. On Sunday I called to ask if they had delivered the day prior and perhaps left outside for someone to take, or if they planned on delivering me dead flowers. The person I spoke with explained she had to go back to the ordering out-of-town florist to correct address and recharge the $30 delivery fee for the error. She said that I would not be receiving any flowers unless the ordering florist and originator decided to cover the cost for delivery. She could not tell me who ordered or the city of the original order. She confirmed they were a condolences arrangement. Although I understand there is gas and time involved in delivery, someone made a small error, the rest of address and contact information was accurate. Whether it was the originating florist or Alta Vista, someone mistook "T" for "B" but the postal code was provided and was key to locating the delivery address. They had my phone number and called me on Friday. They knew exactly who the intended recipient was. If they had even checked the delivery address on the "B" street the house numbers stop at 22 and mine is in the 50's. Had they checked the delivery address the postal code doesn't match with the "B" street. As said they had my phone number, called me, confirmed my name, confirmed the corrected street name, were less than 15 km away. It seems like shoddy customer service not to proceed with delivery; not to mention they were flowers for loss of a loved one, and during the Christmas season. They could have just as easily made the decision to kindly put the flowers on the next days delivery list and done a kind deed but instead to turn around and say, "sorry no flowers for you" - sad! I live by the old motto "do unto others" and in my opinion Alta Vista showed their customers are not their priority. Whoever was in the wrong between the two florists should not have come into play when there is both an ordering and recipient customer. It was a simple spelling mistake, and as indicated, whoever planned the day's deliveries failed to even check the accuracy of a destination point before setting out. I'm sure, this company has provided good service on many occasions, but in this case they failed to come through. I can not recommend using this florist based upon my experience as someone who never received the bereavement arrangement ordered by a friend during a very difficult time.

Although the bouquet we purchased were appreciated by the recipient, I found communication and follow through to be lacking with Alta Vista Flowers. Initially I called at 2PM for a pick up order at 9AM Opening the next day. I explained we had a 9:30AM ceremony then and was reassured my request to quickly run in and out after paying would be accommodated. I assumed this meant they would prepare the flowers to be ready for 9AM. When I arrived, the florist was only beginning to prepare the bouquet and still selecting flowers. I was encouraged to settle the bill with the sales person while I waited however other customers arrived and so I had to wait for them to be served as the sales person that was directed to invoice me began to help them instead. Staff were kind and polite but as I was in a rush and had shared this, it would have been great to know ahead of time if they were not able to accommodate this. It was only after I left that I realized the flowers they chose were not the ones in the photo I had requested on the phone ("oasis in bloom - lots of purple please"). The bouquet I received is very pretty but was filled with primarily large white flowers. I called back to ask about the discrepancy and was told to e-mail them a photo of my bouquet after which they would immediately call me back to follow up. This was two days ago and they have not called. Again, overall the flowers we received were pretty and some may prefer them to the original request, however they were not what I had asked for and communication before and after were lacking, therefore an average rating for this experience.

I just ordered a `Designer's Choice Vase Arrangement`from Alta Vista Flowers for my friends' 50th Wedding Anniversary. Under the special instructions to their florist and delivery, I specified the color preferred and asked to send me a picture of the complete design before delivery. I think it is fair because as a Designer's Choice Vase arrangement, the Alta Vista Flowers does not show what kind of the finished product will be look like. As a client, I trust the design to the florist, but it is only fair that I will be shown the finished product delivered to my friends. But, the shop florist didn't send me any picture. And I just called and spoke to one of the florists, Melissa. After having heard my complain of not receiving any picture from the shop, Melissa told me that the shop does do that because they are too busy to send a picture to the shop's client or customer. I paid $102.72 for my order without receiving a picture to know what was sent to my friends' wedding anniversary.

*EDIT* Was able to leave a message and they called me back very quickly to apologize. Turns out they ran out of flowers at one point, then by the time they were able to get the rest of the orders ready it was too late to deliver. They also called the recipient to explain and apologize and gave me the option to have the flowers delivered to the home address or the work address since it's Monday now. Have used them in the past and never had an issue, so just seems like a one-off bad situation. In the past they've managed to get last-minute orders out, and they're always very well-received, so I'll give them another shot in future as I've usually had great results with them. Original review: I ordered Mothers Day flowers last week for delivery on the 8th. Paid for the nicer arrangement, even did designer's choice to make it easier for the shop because we're not picky. Their website says to do it at least two days in advance and I did it three days in advance. Nothing came yesterday.

The arrangements were beautiful, but communication was terrible. I put down a deposit in February for my august wedding, but had to contact Karen several times to finalize details as she was very slow to respond. I was quoted one price, but the final price was 30% higher although no changes were made to the original request. She says she sent the final invoice, but she did not, and acted annoyed when I hadn’t paid yet because I hadn’t seen the invoice (that was miscalculated originally which is why it had to be resent). I also gave specific instructions on three separate occasions regarding the pick up of the bouquet, twice verbally and once via email, and they were still erroneously delivered to the venue. Karen needs an admin assistant desperately as it appears she can’t keep up with emails or keep details straight. If you insist on using them for your special occasion, make sure you are double, triple, and even quadruple checking the details with her.

Purchased the Roses in the Tea cup arrangement. I check all the other florist reviews and decided to go with Alta Vista Flowers. I really like that upon checkout you can add additional items. I added the cupcake and a bar of Natural soap. When I called to speak to someone at the store they we extremely kind and helpful. The delivery arrived on time, my daughter sent me a photo and I would give 6 stars if I could. The arrangement was beautiful, Roses were fresh and colourful, really like how you she can either use the tea cup or she can put in the in the stand that was provided. Nicely done on putting the cupcake in a separate box so that it would not be damaged. The soap she mentioned smells terrific and love that it is all natural. Thank you for doing such a good job and for making my daughter's birthday memorable. With social distancing I am not able to see her as it is a 4 hour drive for me.

Update #2: Replacement flowers have arrived. They are so pretty and well arranged. A huge improvement from the first time! Their customer service was great in dealing with the situation. Update: They have reached out to me and offered a replacement bouquet to be delivered. Will update again once it arrives. Very disappointed with the arrangement received today. It looked like they were missing types of flowers so they threw together what they had left. Bunch of random greenery, broken pieces, not full looking AT ALL. It looked nothing like it was supposed to and they arrived in very cold water and are all droopy. The card it came with was ripped in half in the holder. Also came with no flower food so i can’t even begin to try and improve their state. I paid $65 for these... the next morning one of the flowers was completely dead along with some greenery.

Great service, I was beaming from the little pop-up after the purchase that was asking follow-up questions that I knew were meant to deliver a customized and personal experience for the person receiving them. I got a reminder it was futile understanding my lady because she was smiling, laughing, angry and crying at the same time, while chewing the chocolates. Then she wasn't sure what she liked more between the chocolates and the flowers. Then it became flower trivia because she wanted to know the names of the flowers she liked (this eventually turned out to be all of them). There I was sweating like a gypsy with a mortgage trying to answer what every flower was because she liked them so much. I think she'll eat them after the chocolates. She was impressed by how fast they got to her, and I was also one happy sender. Thanks Alta Vista Flowers.

My husband and I both have ordered multiple times from here. We've never had any issues or complaints and usually go for the florist pick. For the smallest option, I feel like there are a lot of flowers given, and it's perfect. The fact they deliver and will go all the way out to Greely! Fantastic! I really love this floral shop. I even bought a bouquet today for my best friend to brighten her day and I ordered the cupcake on the side, she said it was fantastic! I never ordered a baked food item before, so I didn't know what to expect. All around, great store. A side note to my fellow customers... retail and the pandemic have hit; please be patient! The lack of staff and overflowing orders can be difficult to juggle. If you can afford some time to the lovely people at the store, I nearly guarantee myself you won't be let down!

I placed an order over a week before Mother's Day. I did this late in the evening and unfortunately selected for "Next Day Delivery" which is not at all what I intended. I quickly sent an email and left a voice message at their shop, which would have been around 1:30AM. I received an email back first thing in the morning to say they would make the change. Phew! On Mother's day, the delivery driver placed the flowers at the back of my mom's home, as per my contactless delivery request. He rang the doorbell and also called her to ensure she was aware to take them in. I live out of province and did not get to see my mom or the flowers. However, the basket looked beautiful in the photos and my mom loved them. Thank you Alta Vista Flowers!

My father had ordered these flowers (well in advance, I might add!) for Valentine's Day after reading some rave reviews, and sadly we were extremely disappointed. Although the flowers themselves were quite nice, they were packaged extremely poorly. Normally when we order a bouquet, each stem comes with an individual water tube, so that the flowers stay fresh. Bouquets also usually come with a packet of "flower food" to keep them for as long as possible. Clearly, these flowers came with neither. They also were extremely crumpled when we came to pick them up, and seemed to be missing the outer decorative paper layer. Needless to say, we'll be spending our $100 on a different florist next time.

I am a long time customer from out of town and was sent a discount code and free delivery if I ordered on line. It wouldn’t accept the code and I tried for over 25 minutes. I am a senior and had much trouble ordering the flowers. I called the florist and explained my difficulty and asked her if she would honor the free delivery and discount over the phone. She was very curt with me and said no. I explained I was a long time customer and would really appreciate her help. In no uncertain terms would she allow it. I will not be ordering from there again and immediately called Landon’s Florist. I forgot to mention that I had left a phone message 2 days prior and my call was never returned.

This was the first time I went with Alta vista flowers for delivering an arrangement. I must admit I am extremely pleased. I booked a next day delivery online, and it was an effortless process. Great prices too, by the way. I phoned early in the morning to confirm when the arrangement would be delivered to ensure it would arrive before the recipient left work for the day. The lady I spoke with on the phone (might have been the owner) was honest and helpful. It was delivered before noon! AMAZING service. I Placed an online order yesterday for a "Premium" arrangement and paid for it. I received it the next day on time however it the "deluxe" size. I called and they offered a refund for the difference between the arrangements but I asked if it can be picked up and replaced with the right size arrangement as I had the time and did not need it till later that day. After a couple of hours I received the "new" arrangement but marginally different than the first one. The online picture has many more flowers and roses than what I received!! It is disappointing. I paid over $180 for the Premium "Sweet as Sugar" but I got the Standard!

I had wanted a dried flowers inspired look to add to our autumnal theme and you guys really knocked it out of the park. My sister ended up choosing Alta Vista flowers, and unbeknownst to her, she chose the same florist that I used for my prom more than a decade prior; with the same partner no less! So not only did we choose Alta Vista Flowers for our wedding flowers, but also for our Prom Corsages! Alta Vista flowers has been there for two of my important lifetime landmarks. I can't thank you and your florists enough for being such a big part of my memories, and my life.

Very easy website to navigate through and many arrangements to choose from. Order was placed online on Monday, flowers to be delivered on Tuesday. I called in the morning for an update and the person who picked up the phone was very polite and pleasant and assured me that my order was on its way. Shortly after, I received a note that my delivery was complete. Arrangement colours differed slightly from what was seen online, but was beautiful nevertheless, and I was not disappointed. Very easy experience and I will definitely use Alta Vista flowers again in the future.

I purchased the Pretty Tea-Time Bouquet for a Sympathy gift in premium size online, but when I compared my purchase to online photo, it looked like the standard size. Associate explained that the designer made arrangement to be viewed on all sides verses like online photo which is one sided, so she offered a discount. I am grateful for her attempt to make up for this. In the end, the recipients are enjoying their gift, it is very pretty and I would recommend to try this location again.

I have previously used Alta Vista Flowers and was very pleased. Unfortunately, I was having issues using their website and had tried everything I could think of (restarting my computer, using another browser, googling the issue, etc). Upon calling I was told that I would be expected to pay the delivery fee since I was unable to order online (orders within 10km are free if ordered online). Very disappointing experience and the loss of not only one, but two arrangements.

I have used Alta Vista flowers many times. Usually online orders, but occasionally walk-ins as well. They are kind, helpful, and will go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you need, even if you're not sure what you're looking for. As someone not well versed in flowers, they are still able to assess what I need, and create something absolutely beautiful for a great price. This is the only place I get flowers (and often a cookie while I wait, yum!)

Their website kept automating the incorrect postal code repeatedly making it impossible for me to pay and I had to use a family member’s card to make the order. It was getting late in the day and the flowers we bought did not arrive at their destination. We called to make a kind inquiry as to when our delivery was going to arrive and were met with rudeness. The flowers that were delivered via the ‘florists choice’ selection were overpriced.

Every year I order my wife the designers choice bouquet. This year when I had ordered her the flowers over the phone, one of the staff Melissa had answered, I had inquired about what the delivery charge was, I received nothing but snide, rude responses, and a belligerent attitude about how the delivery charge hasn't changed. As a frequent and repeat customer for years I will make sure to order from Langdons solely because of Melissa.

I could not have asked for a better experience--OUTSTANDING!!!! The choices of arrangements offered by Alta was overwhelming in a good way; it was a little difficult choosing just one, but with the assistance of my husband, one was finally made. Through many emails, I was always made aware of where my order was up to and including the final step of delivery. I'll will definitely be using this florist again! Thank you again!

Thanks to the positive reviews on Google, I took a chance and ordered flowers to be delivered for a friend's birthday. I'd never dealt with Alta Vista Flowers before but was very pleased with the easy-to-use website and next day service. The flowers were delivered on time and are just beautiful. Nice to be able to rely on a local business during these challenging times when birthday treats can't be presented in person.

Super easy with ordering online and super friendly customer service. I didn't give 5 stars because the recipient had informed me that the delivery person had banged on the door aggressively instead of following instructions from my ordering process. I had placed instruction to call the recipient upon arrival so there's no disturbance if it was delivered early in the morning. Otherwise, good service and is appreciated.

Perfect location and great friendly staff. My parents used to order all their flowers with Alta Vista Flowers. I still continue this tradition, and find their services very personable. I recently asked if they would donate something to our event to raise money for mental health, and they were quick to offer gift certificates. It's nice to see local organizations supporting causes like mental health.

My wife was so happy to receive her flowers on Valentines Day. It was a lovely arrangement too, she loved it. I was very impressed with the service I received from the shop as well. I had entered my order at 6am on Valentines Day and it was delivered on a day that was most likely one of their busiest days of the year. Thank you again for your help. What a great experience. Ordered the set of roses in the teacup to be delivered to my wife's work on her birthday. She LOVED them! The flowers picked were gorgeous and the entire experience was outstanding. I even called for an update in the morning and Emily was extremely helpful and polite. Alta Vista Flowers has been my go-to florist for almost 10 years. I never know what exactly I want, so I call them, tell them the occasion, and tell them my budget. I am absolutely in love with the floral arrangement I got for my Father’s celebration of life . I had 100 visions and zero direction . Melissa was extremely professional and made the process so effortless . Her attention to detail is incredible . Not to mention , the florals lasted forever !! 10/10 recommend . I requested designers choice with a specific colour scheme in mind and Lauren designed the bouquet beautifully. My friend said the flowers lasted a long time too, so we're both very satisfied with the bouquet!

I ordered the bubble gum bliss flowers for my mother for Mother’s Day. They were delivered on Friday. On Sunday I called my mom and she showed me the arrangement. All the roses were dead. So within 48 hours half of the arrangement was dead. Will not be using Alta vista flowers in the future. Would not recommend.

Ordered flowers for my Moms birthday off their website and she absolutely loved them. I selected florists choice to put together something with seasonal flowers, it was a stunning bouquet that smelled amazing. I placed the order in the evening and they were delivered the next day by noon.

A few days ahead of a special occasion I contacted the store, which is owned by a family acquaintance from years ago. We finalized the order the morning of the event, and I was able to pick it up before closing. The arrangement was very much appreciated, and got many positive remarks.

I got flowers on my birthday here, there are not so many ready made flowers available for you to buy except you have to make orders by phone or through website before if you want something special. The staff kind of intimidated me, but overall she did great, precise work.

Alta Vista always provides beautiful bouquets. This most recent one was Best Seasonal Flowers-Deluxe and it came with lovely pastel colours and a nice assortment of flower types including snapdragons. Happy to support local and even happier my friend loves her bouquets!

Love this place, and have used their services often. Always arrives on time. Always fresh and absolutely beautiful arrangements! It’s the only place I use now to send flowers in the area. Plus, the prices don’t change at peak times :)

Ordered a designer’s choice bouquet, the arrangement was very well done with intricate and interesting flowers. The card was handwritten with great hand writing and the delivery was quick. I would absolutely recommend this florist.
