This review is probably a bit premature but felt I needed to share my experience of the wonderful Dr Richard Savory and the beautiful vet nurse Simone. From the first call I knew I was finally on the right track with my poor little lame pooch who means the world to me. Dr Savory is so brilliant at what he does that I even heard a client call him a "legend" when leaving with their dog. I can only say that I feel we are in the right hands now and trust that if anyone can help my pet he can. Nothing is too much trouble, he explains everything in a way that can be understood, is so dedicated and clever at what he does its just amazing. I have never once felt "rushed" and never felt my dog was just another way of making a dollar. When other vets suggested euthansia after I had spent thousands of dollars, (which wasnt an option for me) I know Dr Savory will do his best not to let this be the case. To you Simone I have to say you're sensitive kind nature is very much appreciated and Adel Vet Surg Services are so lucky to have you as are the animals. I look forward to continuing there where I trust that Cha Chi's ill health will improve in time . Thank you Well its now Jan 2019 and Chachi is still going well. I would give more stars if I could! Our pup had surgery to correct a luxating patella six weeks ago. She was walking on the leg almost 24 hours later and now you wouldn't even know she'd had the surgery. We were nervous to put our dog through the operation and recovery period but Dr Savory did an incredible job and we received all the support we needed from the team in the weeks following the surgery. At around the 4 week mark, our pup had her yearly vaccinations and we asked the vet (not AVSS) to feel her leg to see if it was healing ok and if he could feel any stiffness. We didn't mention where she had her surgery, but the vet said "It feels fantastic. This must be Dr Savory's work". We are over the moon that everything went so smoothly and our pup is set for a happy, pain-free life! Also, as an added bonus the pricing was very reasonable. My introduction to Adelaide Vet Surgery, following a referral from my Vet, was absolutely delightful and very reassuring. Our little Cavie needed surgery to help her breath properly. Everyone I met was wonderful and the visit/surgery was quickly arranged. Post Opp, the Surgeon called to explain what was found etc. The following day another staffer phoned to check on how she was which gave us the chance to express small concerns. Thank goodness for Richard and his team in helping our dear girl Cilla with a cruciate knee problem. It is only day 1 and already we are feeling so much more confident in a great outcome. Richard performed two TPLOs on my Doberman and has been so impressive! The aftercare was amazing, especially after the first one where my dog had some unexpected complications. He genuinely cares about animals. We have had years of surgeries, treatment, illness with other dogs (at high end specialist clinics) and I would hands down recommend Richard above the rest! It is about a 45 minute drive from our house, but worth the travel.

Our Italian Greyhound had complications after leg surgery 6 months prior, treated by another vet. We were referred to Dr Savory by a friend who's dog had been successfully treated for a similar situation and he was very caring and offered several less invasive options from what we had been offered elsewhere. Our pup is now on the mend and progressing well. Can't speak more highly of Dr Savory and his staff, also very well priced.

We had our Golden Retriever (Cookie) operated here for her leg, and everything was great! Staff are lovely and service is top quality and professional. You will not be worried to leave your best friend in the hands of these people, and you will be happy with results. Our dog walks normal again and we appreciate the job done and all the supports. I can’t express my gratitude and thanks for Dr Richard and his amazing staff enough. Our beloved Iggy became gravely ill very quickly. He was the only vet surgeon that would take in our boy on extremely short notice. He took great care of him and we now have our fur baby back home. Dr Richard and his staff are a total professional outfit. Unfortunately our 7yr old labrador required her 2nd TPLO . Richard did her first one and with great success. So had no hesitation in getting him to do the other leg. Thoroughly recommend U won't be disappointed

Richard and his team are true professionals in every respect. Our German Shepherd pup had surgery on her elbow and has made a full recovery, exceeding our expectations. Everything was explained clearly and our dog was treated with great care.
