I booked this company via uhaul. After booking, the communication was abysmal. I held them accountable for their terrible communication. I was stern but I did not yell. They said they understood how I felt. After stating they understood and confirmed my appointment, they then passive-aggressively sent me a text message to cancel my appointment, which I found hilarious because they couldn't respond to any prior communication with that level of haste. I also want to add that I feel he assumed (rightfully) that I am a black woman and instantly threw out that he didn't want to work with someone who has an "attitude". I wonder if he would have done the same if he thought I was white. It smells of discrimination and I am calling it out as it stands. I don't know who Desire Nzinga is, but I am absolutely certain it was not the man I was on the phone with. I want to add that the poor communication happened on more than one occasion where I had to essentially initially chase Dez for booking after paying 380 through uhaul. So yes, I did mention spending my hard earned money with the company to be ignored and treated as if my time and appointment were unimportant. And in his response he skips over the discrimination claim so I will take that as yes, he discriminated against me and used my race as a determinant for my "attitude". That's fine, I've already reported him to uhaul.

So at the end of the move, when we were ready to assemble the beds, we found out that we were missing legs on one of the bed. Our bed has an adjustable base which weights 650lb. it was the legs of that adjustable base were missing. So I asked Brandon and AJ if they can come back to help me assemble the bed once we find those missing legs which they graciously agreed and we really appreciated. We could not assemble the bed frame until we find the legs of adjustable base BECAUSE otherwise if we assemble the frame first, then when they come back, they will have to carry 650lb of adjustable and fit it right inside of the frame without scratching our frame at all which is a risk that we did not want to take because that's basically impossible. A very simple thing to understand except for Des. So later that day, my foot continue to hurt badly, I thought I needed to go to hospital, my husband suggested that I call Des and let him know what happened, so I did, I informed him what that contracted mover did to my foot, and I also informed him about my bed. He said which I recorded, "no problem, I will have them go back and help you with your bed when you find the legs, I won't every charge you". I hung up the phone and thought that was really nice of him. So we started to look for those legs. We have so many boxes, and so of course it took us days to finally find them. (2)

Dez and Brandon were absolutely amazing! My partner and I were moving from Raleigh and had a 20’ truck that needed to be unloaded when we reached ATL. We had previously arranged for All My Sons but as our arrival time began to get pushed back, AMS was not going to be able to meet us that day. I called ATL- United Local Movers while stopped at a gas station in SC to see if they were available and Dez got me scheduled for that evening almost immediately! He was extremely responsive throughout the entire process which was greatly appreciated given the stress of the day. Dez and Brandon showed up shortly after we had arrived and they came ready to work! They both were super friendly and had great attitudes the entire time, despite having to carry our heavy couch and mattress up THREE flights of stairs AND maneuvering around the tight corners in the hallway. There was not one complaint and they made sure to place the furniture and boxes carefully in the rooms we had requested. They had unloaded the entire truck in about three hours and the cost still ended up being significantly cheaper than had we stayed with AMS. We were extremely pleased with their rates, efficiency, professionalism, attitudes and how careful they were with our things. Highly recommend- 10 out of 10!!

My wife and I utilized Des and Brandon on our most recent move, and they were, in a word, fantastic. I did all of my pre-move coordination Des, and he was communicative, honest, and attentive. Finding a time slot was not a hassle in the slightest, and he was more than willing to accommodate last-minute changes as they came up. On the day of the move itself, both Des and Brandon were timely, professional, and knowledgeable. They treated our belongings with respect, and were unperturbed by changes or obstacles that presented themselves throughout the day. In addition to our moving duties, both Des and Brandon were happy to help us with non-moving related tasks. In addition to helping me transport and set up a new television, they also volunteered to help us get rid of clutter and assemble things. Working with these two really made us feel like we were being moved by friends - friends who also happened to be moving professionals. Long story short, hire these two if you're planning a move sometime soon. Movers don't get much better than this.

I am happy to write this review for a small, black-owned company. I used their services about a month ago for a local move, and I am satisfied with the services provided. Even with an unforeseen staffing conflict (it happens ‍♀️, especially with COVID and everything else going around), the owner Des made sure that my move happened. I've seen and heard of many companies canceling without concern for how that might impact your schedule or inidividual circumstances. AJ (I believe that was his name but it's been a while haha) was very personable and respectful. It was hot as hades and no complaints, only movers doing their best to provide professional service and ensure that I was taken care of. You may not get all of the bells and whistles, but these guys are honest and the price is fair. Communicate, make sure you're organized and your items are well-packed, and you should have a fabulous experience. Looking forward to using this company again. I wish them continued success.

These guys did what they said they would do for the cost quoted. I really appreciate the fact that Dez reached out to me first thing in the morning to re-confirm the time of my move. Once he and his partner arrived, they immediately and quickly began organizing and gathering my items to be moved into storage and my new home. I was extremely impressed how quickly and carefully they prepared, moved, and transported my items. In the past, I have paid other moving companies to provide moving services for me but there was always some type of severe damage to one or more of my items. I appreciate how Dez took a lead role in ensuring that my items were carefully picked up, loaded, and delivered to my new home without any damage. Based on my past experience with movers, ATL-United provided the best quality of services for the money!!!

The team at ATL-United Local Movers is wonderful to work with! Des is such a professional & 100% committed to providing great service. We had a tricky move...3rd floor apartment, no elevator & all of our stuff had to be packed into a storage container parked quite a distance from the building. ATL United got the job done in record time! I was amazed at how they got everything to fit into the container & honestly expected to see some broken stuff on the other end of our move. Not so! Everything arrived without so much as a scratch! We wouldn't have gotten through this tough move without Des & his team. ATL-United Movers were the best movers I ever used. They were affordable, professional and responsive. They provided excellent service all around. For me, the thing that was the most enjoyable was their attitude. They were so chipper and positive. I gave them very complex instructions of what goes where and they did not mind. And if I changed my mind or made a mistake, they did moved the object, no matter how big, with a laugh or a smile. This made the whole experience comfortable. They worked hard into the evening until they got the job done as promised. They showed me reciepts for the materials they used and were very honest. I highly recommend them.

I used them to move into an apartment this past week and they were amazing. The owner is friendly, responsive and really easy to work with. The movers are top tier! They are professional and even though they had to move an extremely heavy grill they did it fast and weren’t bothered. They packed everything with care, much more care than I would have used myself. For charging by the hour they move extremely fast. I bought them food since it had been an all day event and they didn’t even stop to eat it until they were finished and payment was made. If you want an honest great small business to support this is the one!

I am very grateful for and thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and efficiency this company showed. We moved from 1 place to another inside Atlanta and used this company through a friend's reference. The communication was great by Des. On the day of the move the moving team came on time. The team was led by Brandon who had phenomenal work ethics. They surveryed the house, listen to every minor detail, and worked accordingly. He and 2 other movers dissassemble, packed and reassembled the furniture with out any broken pieces or scratches despite narrow hallway. We are happy with the service and I would definitely recommend Des and his team.

I had to book last minute due to another mover cancelling on me and they were able to fit me in as needed. Their prices were reasonable, what I would expect to pay for a cross-town move. They were very responsive via phone, email and text- were promptly on time. Brandon was very nice and he and Gerald worked hard and quickly, asking for direction when needed. The company is a locally owned small business, which comes with a customer having a bit more patience and understanding if things aren’t “perfect”. The company rents their trucks from Uhaul, so this could delay your actual pick up time. Workers are very careful and considerate of your belongings when moving. The price is reasonable for the service they provide.

These guys definitely have the best rates in the atlanta area. Called 3 different places and everyone charges double or triple what Atl-united was charging. The work was done fast and efficient so good quality work. And on a final note the guys are good communicators and just a cool bunch to be around. Would hire them again and recommend to anyone else.

This is an amazing company- they made the move easy and stress free. Dez was very helpful to answer all our pre-move questions. The movers were very nice, efficient, and professional- they went above and beyond and even helped to jump start our car when the battery died during the move!
