This is the worst car rental ever. My husband and I booked this car to travel from Bangkok - Khao Yai and return the car at Don Mueang Airport. We kept the car spotless and tidy before returning, even we refilled the gas to full tank. All of the sudden at 15.20 PM near the Don Mueang Airport, there was another car who hit us from the back. We reported this case to the company and they said for us to wait for their staff to come no longer than 20 minutes because we had a flight back home at 17.40. We waited til 16.00 PM but no one of the company showed up and Thai Rent A Car let us to go to the airport so we don't miss the flight. At the airport, my husband still being held back because they said the insurance company will come to the airport. Time is ticking and near our boarding time but still no one showed up and the Thai Rent A Car staff at the airport let my husband to go check into the flight. But then the company called us and said the accident was our fault BECAUSE WE DID NOT WAIT FOR THE INSURANCE STAFF TO COME. How come? Your staffs were the one who told us it was okay for my husband to leave. Even if we should wait for another time and probably missing our flight, are your company responsible to pay our next flight to Indonesia? This is not fair! Just send us back the 5000 Baht!!!!

The car that I rent for a week, in the mid of the week the battery death. After wake up early morning to go appointment, realise we cant start the engine due to battery issue and we called to CS, they mentioned that they will arranged people to come and change battery, we have waited for 3hours and end up when they reach only bring a battery for us to jumpstart. REALLY? i can do that in the beginning. after that still ask us to change battery ourself and we pay for it. after we ask the local to help us complain only arrange a car to change for us in the airport. Please do improve on the customer service and do not bully foreigner. KThxBye.

Der letzte Laden! Hatte ein Fahrzeug über Internet geordert. Es wurde mir auch per Mail Bestätigt. Meine Kreditkarte wurde belastet! 8 Stunden später bekomme ich ein Mail, dass Fahrzeug wurde gecancelt und meine Kreditkarte wird innerhalb von 7 Tagen wieder gutgeschrieben. EINE FRECHHEIT WIE ICH SONST WO AUF DER WELT NICHT ERLEBT HABE. - The last shop! Ordered a vehicle over the Internet. It was also confirmed to me by email. My credit card was charged! 8 hours later I get an email that the vehicle has been canceled and my credit card will be credited within 7 days. A cheek like I have never seen anywhere else in the world.

I booked a car with this company via their website a month in advance, and they immediately charged me with a deposit of 500 baht. When I arrived at the airport to pick up my car, they said that they do not accept that credit card (which they gladly accepted earlier and charged me money on their website). When I emailed their support, they said that "Thai Rent A Car reserves not to pay the refund in every case." Charging a tourist for the service you did not provide is a scam no matter what, Thai Rent a Car. I'm writing to The Office of the Consumer Protection Board of Thailand. Beware of their scams, guys!

Rented from Phitsanuluk airport. The car was not sound from start. Brakes on second last day were noisy. On last day coming down mountain brakes failed. Pedal flat to floor. I pumped pedal and obtained some level of control. Nursed car back to airport. At airport I related problem and showed pressing brake twice went from long take up to normal on second push. Reply smiling..."you should not drive this car up big hills". I still worry this may happen to someone else with far worse consequences. Company absolute disgrace.

Если вы оплатили машину онлайн, готовьтесь, что по приезду у вас попросят депозит 25000 бат, при том оплатить его можно только кредитной картой, никаких наличных и дебетовых карт, и конечно Российские карты не работают, но если найти действующую кредитку не получилось, то возвращать ваши деньги они будут только по согласованию с руководством и это займет примерно 2 месяца, и более того вам еще могут отказать в возврате ваших денег. Если вам дороги ваши деньги и нервы, обходите стороной!

Very unhappy with these. We contacted them to find out if we could use a debit card as we don’t have credit cards they said yes so booked a car though messaged prepaid for the months hire. Turned up and they refused to give us the car even though we was happy to pay up front the 5000B deposit. We are now been told they don’t do refunds we are now trying the manager. So the company basically ripped us off. We have the messages from the team saying we could use our card. Don’t use

Voiture extra, presque neuve Pour le contact avec les employés, c'est très froid. Mais le résultat est chaque fois malgré cela OK. Voiture extra et pas de problème finalement. (à chaque fois.) Bon a savoir : Pour sortir de l'agence avec le véhicule, il faut être franchement bon conducteur expérimenté car il est nécessaire de faire un gymkhana dans un parking aérien du centre de Bangkok. C'est le "Test" de conduite éliminatoire avant la sortie de l'agence.

Watch out for this company which works in favour of locals as they always get the new cars and foreigners the older ones. Nothing is true about what they say, including the severe low spec cars available when they have one. One person promises you one thing to make a booking, and the other lies in your face with some other stories on arrival. Better choose an honest, established International company with a name to avoid all these issues.

A good rental agency. Cars such as fortune , Almera , Yaris , Altis , etc are available. Luxury cars are also available. But none of their staffs speaks proper English. One of them manages. So better visit there with the help of Google translate. And thoroughly check and verify your vehicle for any small dents , scratches etc before leaving. They are charging a flat rate of 5000thb for any minor scratch.

Overall, a good rental agency. Roughly 1500 baht/day for a 4 year old Toyota Fortuner. I don't need a brand new vehicle, but the SUV was definitely showing it's age. The whole rental process was easy and extending my usage by one day was no problem at all. I would rent here again, but will check on vehicle age before making any commitments.

I got a Yaris from New Petchburi Road and loved it. The car was clean and in excellent condition, staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the guy with a lot of tattoos at New Petchburi Rd (I forgot to ask for his name). Great promotion of 299 a day! Highly recommended and will definitely use their service again <3

Montant du dépôt de garantie prohibitif, impossible de le payer autrement qu’avec un crédit (oui vos VISA débit vous seront refusés)… Perte sèche de 100€ pour annulé (alors que c’est eux qui oblige le crédit … la personne avant nous hurlait car impossible pour elle de récupérer son argent….

Upgraded vehicle, easy service in picking up but drop off was a hassle at the terminal. Remember its the Arrivals level at Swampy. Also you either need to ring them when you arrive or have someone go into the terminal and get them to come get the car. Otherwise, would have been 5 stars.

This is my 2nd time renting from them. The pick up at Don muang airport was smooth and so was the return both times. Previously i returned at the airport, this time at the city bramch at petchaburi road, which was equally seamless. Will be back again.

Worst rent a car in thailand. Rented a car with them, there were dents all around the car, maybe more than 25 tiny spots and when i returned the car they pointed at 1 tiny spot smaller than a pen tip and refused to return my 20,000 baht deposit

Extremely pleased with the car and service here. Zero fuss, super easy transactions from booking to return. Our car was very clean during pick up and it was so easy to add on drivers during the trip. Will definitely be back to rent from them.

I took car from this place at least 8 times till now and every time I got the perfect vehicle with out any issues, they are the only car rentals in Bangkok, who are decently priced than others, you should try them before trying others.

Car return with 2 staff checking the car. Then called me at phone 30 minutes later and said the car was full of hair, charging me 5,000 baht without my consent! I will never rent a car from Thai Rent again!

Reasonable rent, no issues while returning. Just make sure you have a credit card when you go to pickup. Don't know why they don't accept 5k thb cash deposit or bank transfer.
