10 Stars!!! I had made the decision to finally pull the trigger and purchase the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller while en route to Niagara with the kids, knowing that trying to get around with 2 toddlers and trying to carry around essentials with them in tow would be rather difficult without having one of these awesome wagon strollers. Was able to get some assistance right away from Brandon ( the Toy Manager from this location ) who located a new one from us in the back storage area. And while testing out the floor model, we had a wonderful little interaction with Linda who was so friendly and kind when speaking with my kids and making the passing time go by nicely and smoothly. So thank you once again Linda! Your company is so lucky to have an individual like yourself at this location. Brandon helped me check out the stroller and then went above and beyond and assisted to help me bring it out, and then remove it from the box to assemble and pack in the back of my car. His kindness, empathy, and attention to detail shined so brightly. He was also able to help me mind my kids while i was trying to figure out some small details and connections. A true gentlemen and even better human being. Truly you made my time there not only quick and efficient but seamless and a joy, instead of trying to juggle 2 little ones and dealing with any mounting frustration while putting this sucker together. I also learned that Brandon has been with the company for 19 year! I wish that your company should consider themselves so lucky and fortunate to have had you for so long and still continued to be engaged and wonderfully thoughtful after so many years. Cheers to you and the rest of your staff at this location. I’ve been in many ToysRUs’ over the decades, but this by far has been my best visit yet. I will gladly make the drive all the way from Scarborough to deal with you fine folks time and time again. True praise and recognition may not be enough but sincerely and truly, all the best and see you on the next one!

Yesterday when making a purchase I provided my native status card. The cashier hands me the paper and says I need your address to which I replied no you dont. Her response was very rude and abrupt as she stated yes I do. I was very taken back as I have never provided my address when making a purchase using my exemption card. This cadhier made me feel like I should just leave all of my items behind and make my purchase elsewhere but I proceeded to cash out. My husband advised that the interaction was very uncomfortable and I should call to speak w a manager. When I called the store the the associate answers and says Hi thank you for calling toys r us Jodie speaking. I say hi can I please speak to a manager? Her response was Hi Jodie speaking. I ask um....is this the manager, she says yes. I explained to her that her cashier was terribly rude and asked for some information regarding the exemption form. She told me that the customer address is required when making a purchase using an exemption card. She was quite abrupt at first but eventually explained to me that she was a new manager to the store and they need to ensure everyone provides their address when filling out an exemption form. I definitely appreciated the explanation but still really dont understand as I have never had to fill out my address in the past or when making multiple purchases later that day. The manager said she would speak to her employee regarding the interaction but did not ask who it was that cashed me out. Over all this experience made me feel like tax exemption is a hassle for this store. I have never felt so uncomfortable when making a purchase but also when seeking information from a store manager. At a children's store!! I will say though that I have had many issues when trying to use my exemption online so I am beginning to wonder if toys r us as a whole has an issue with the indigenous community. Very disappointed.

Horrible customer service. I walked out from there almost crying because of the way they treated me. It's my first pregnancy I don't have much knowledge about what to buy. I tried speaking to his lady who was working in the babies section and asked her few questions about baby strollers. She rushed me and than she said she will be right back. She went to help a couple. I was waiting for her than went back to her to ask her about the baby cribs and she told me she will be right with me. I was basically waiting for almost 30 minutes for her to finish helping the couple . After that a new couple came in and she started helping them even though she knew I was waiting for her to help me and she saw me standing there right in the front of her. I asked her if there is anyone else working there who can help me. She said she will call someone over and than just continued speaking to the couple. I asked her why she decided to help other clients when I was there before them and she told me don't worry someone will come to help you without any other explanation. I decided to walk out instead of waiting there . In my way out of the store I realised all the employees were just standing around chatting with each-other without even trying to help customers. First of all I'm not sure what would be the reason someone would treat someone else like this and give priority to other people. Maybe because I was a woman shopping for baby stuff alone and she automatically assumed that I am single mother (even though I'm not)? Or because I had an accent? Or because I was wearing my comfy clothes and the other customers looked like they had money? Whatever the reason is I find her behaviour very discriminating. And second of all why are their employees not doing their job and help their customers?

Bottle Genius Machine - Warranty Confusion Edited to add response received from customer service, terrible! "'sorry, but I suggest that you contact the store directly and ask to speak with the manager"... Bought a $100 machine, they sold me the warranty specifically because it was discontinued and if I needed a replacement then they would be able to give me a like product instead. A week and a half later it broke, the water tank leaks everywhere. Store doesn't have any replacements because they sold all the clearance ones, so I asked about getting the like replacement to be told no, you can have the money back on a gift card. Explained that we have got used to having the machine and would like a replacement machine of some sort, to get to the real issue here, their other machine is double the price so they don't want to honour the original promise of a like replacement. Because they will only give me the money back on a card I am now faced with being forced to pay out another $100, or use the card to buy $100 worth of diapers and then fork out full payment for a machine from another store. I feel lied to, I think they knew full well the thing was crap and leaked and that;s why they discontinued it. They should have removed it from stock altogether, not continued to get rid of them half price while pushing useless warranties onto people. I registered here and wished I hadn't now. I will not be shopping there again.

Such a mixed bag here. My wife and I came here looking for a 4-1 car seat, with the intention of buying one on the spot. The lady (Anna I think) at the car seat area was super helpful. She pointed us in the direction of the Evenflo gold revolve 360. She answered all of our questions and eventually sold us on it. When we brought our ticket up to purchase, they sent Steven to go look for it in the back, he came back saying there was none. We brought our ticket to the online purchase area, to have her check how many were on-hand. Esli didn't want to re check for us because she said if somebody physically looked for it already than they must not have it. I asked again to have her at least look at how many they had in the system (also noted that I could order it online from the babies r us site and it said this location had it in stock). When she finally checked the computer, she must have seen that there were some in stock because she asked Miranda(I think that was her name) to go look and obviously she found it. We could have walked out of there after Steven said they didn't have any, or esli told us again they didn't have it, and we would have gone and spent our $500 dollars somewhere else. I hope I got the name's right, because Miranda and Anna were awesome, everything else about the experience was very disappointing.

Very bad customer service. I bought a Kids camera for my son. After 10 days it stopped working. I called the store and someone told me to bring the camera along with the receipt. I told them I don't have the packing and they said it's not a problem. They will replace it for me. As I reached the store their approach changed and they said they won't replace it as I don't have the packing. As I mentioned I was asked to come, their response was epic. They said they may give incorrect or false information over the phone and they are not responsible for what they said. I wasted my time and money in this store and they treat customers badly. If you are not able to provide valid answers over the phone and encouraged a customer to come over ,at least show some respect. Don't treat them badly. What way customer service is this, and their policy is crazy. After this I asked , what am I supposed to do with this 10 day old camera , their another epic customer service skills answer, go and call Vtech. Maybe the lady doesn't like my skin color or what. I don't want to spend another dollar in this store.

I had such a great experience here today. I brought my daughter out for the first time in months and was greeted by John who was so kind and friendly. We were offered sanitizer and a clean cart as we entered. Went in got some toys and went out to put the stuff in the trunk and somehow the car locked with the keys inside. John was so kind, helpful and caring. Offered his phone so I could call my family to help, kept us entertained and even brought us cold water while we waited. Honestly above and beyond and such a kind, kind person. A manager I met while waiting was so kind and friendly as well. Despite the dilemma, it was a great first outing for my little one and I will definitely be back. I think you already know how great he is, but value what an incredible person you have representing your store and company in general. He is a wonderful ambassador!

I thought I should share that it's really difficult to get ahold of anyone in customer service. I've had issues with talking to someone as no one will pick up the phone. I'd spend all day or multiple days trying to get ahold of someone. There's no way to leave a voice-mail from customer service so it just keeps ringing. I was curious to see if anyone would pick up, so I did housework while it rang. I gave up at 14 minutes of straight ringing. I know annoying, but I was curious. I just wanted to let you know. I'm sure the employee's might be busy helping another customer but it's been a constant issue. Just something to look at if wanting to improve your customer service. Hopefully will get to talk to someone soon or will have to go in. Trying not to go out to stores often because of Covid going on, and it's a simple fix that doesn't need me going in.

Prices are reasonable, staff are nice when you have someone to talk to... LOTS to choose from. It's a great store!! The ONLY reason I only put 3 stars is because there only ever seems to be 1 person on the sales floor at a time, even on a Saturday. It was brutal, there were 3 customers plus me waiting for one associate, who was busy helping another customer (very well, I might add) who had questions about nearly every stroller they had. It was annoying, though at least she got lots of good help. The rest of us suffered however. I gave up and went to customer service, waited in line and finally got an answer to a quick question. I wish they'd add at least 2 more employees to the floor to help! Do that, and they'd be 5 stars.

While my fiance and I were shopping with our 4 month old little girl, we were greatly greeted by John while he sang and welcomed us into the store, he informed us of all of the sale and clearance that they had in the store and if we needed any help at all to let any of the team members know. As a first time mom, I had a couple questions on some products they had in the store and the team members in the baby section were able to help me. Everyone in the store was very nice and had a smile on their face (even though they were wearing masks cause of covid) you could tell by their eyes they were smiling. Thank you to everyone working that made our shopping experience easy and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Although I live closer to another location, the Centennial location is by far the best Toys R Us I’ve been to! The customer service is top notch and consistent. I ordered a nursery dresser that was out of stock online and in store. The manager helped me with a special order and the dresser arrived which sooner than expected. In addition, the store followed up with me to let me know they were holding it for me. Most recently, I received excellent care from Anna in the babies department. When she saw my hands full, she brought me a cart which she re-sanitized and helped me size a pack n play mattress with a model on the floor. It is refreshing to experience great customer care, especially this past year!

This store is absolutely my husband's and I favorite store to shop at. Our experiences are always top notch and they never disappoint. Everyone always has a smile. Its gotten to the point people recognize us. Chris the cashier is always phenomenal, and so glad to see her. The cheery singing gentleman at the entrance door makes my day everytime we see him. They always have good stock of product, and if they don't have it, they work with you to try and find it. Love that they get exclusive Pop Vinyls that you normally can't get in Canada. I love the wide variety of products they sell. Always keeps things interesting. Keep up the amazing work, and most importantly stay safe everyone !

Went into the toys r us centennial location today with my 10 month old and 8 year old. Greeted by a very friendly and welcoming employee at the front of the store - seemed to be possibly a manager or store director. Made the experience exciting for kids coming into the store - which I feel is important during such strange times in a global pandemic. Entering the store you are greeted again by friendly and happy cashiers as well as cashed out by friendly and happy cashiers before you leave. The entire experience is welcoming, happy and helpful. Likely the best shopping experience I’ve had since stores started re-opening for in store shopping. Thanks for the great customer service!

My daughter, her partner and I were at Baby's R Us specifically. An absolutely positive experience! Staff was attentive and helpful without being cloying. My daughter was invited to create a registry and receive a lovely thank you bag packed full of samples from bottles to teething, a parenting book, and a foot print kit! We were able to hands on try out things like strollers and "travel systems" (boy have things come such a long way!), and carriers vs wraps. We looked at the crib and playpen options, considered free standing vs portable high chairs, and created an extensive wish list for the registry which was fun, and easy! A very positive experience!

Today my daughter who is non verbal autistic went to toys r us as an outing for good behaviour, upon arriving we were about 3 minutes early to opening time as the manager approached she saw my daughter and I patiently waiting. She cheerfully asked my daughter if she would be the helper to open the store today and without delay my daughter bright eyed made her way to open the store. I wasn't able to get her name but we are so beyond appreciative of this. My daughter experiences challenges daily but this experience will be one that her and I remember forever. Thank-you so much to the kind staff that work here id give a million stars if possible !!!

We went in and one of our gift cards wasn't working properly. We were very upset! Dylan and Miranda were amazing, thwy helped us out a lot and in the end we made it out with everything we needed. Wish the gift card would have worked but they were super nice and helpful, Dylan even helped us fit everything into the car. The biggest issue was that the stroller we wanted was not in stock and when we signed up for the registry we were not given the proper information by the lady who signed us up. Bethany helped to smooth everything over and find us a stroller that worked for us, but having their stuff in stock would have been great.

I had begun my baby registry online but decided I had questions about specific brands and products so I made an appointment with an “expert”. I thought this meant one on one guidance and that is unfortunately not the experience I had. I can not blame the technical systems for malfunctioning and I did not mind scanning items using the app, but I did mind the sales persons lack of knowledge, interest or help. She only recommended products she had used, demonstrated one piece and then left me and my guest to wander. I have many questions and I feel they are unanswered and it was a less than desirable experience.

My husband and I recently visited this location to look for a glider for our nursery and check out some other baby items. We're expecting our first baby so it's all new to us. We received excellent customer service here! Linda in particular was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the gliders and travel systems and had lots of helpful tips for us. She's truly the type of employee that any employer could ask for! Also, a special mention to Vince who went above and beyond assisting us with our glider purchase as well. Really nice store and employees...I'm sure we'll be back lots over the coming months!

I previously had rated as 5/5, but with a new baby on the way, we found the staff on the babiesRUs side unhelpful on multiple occasions. We were told someone would talk to us to explain the baby registry program, but after 30 minutes no one came to the desk. After seeking one of the workers, we were told to install the phone app and scan items or add items online. Details regarding registry benefits, discounts, gift bag, coupons were not mentioned until we called the 1800 company #. We found the adelaide branch much more helpful and friendly. Overall poor service.

Went in with my bestfriend for her baby registry. The staff at this toys r us are so wonderful. Really helped us with making the registry very informative about the perks and coupons they have currently. Ended up being in there for 2.5 hours just having fun and chit chatting with the assistant manager (wish I got her name!) Even though this isn’t my toys r us I’ll be going out of my way to come back to this one!! Love these ladies!! Bought the portland play set 9 months ago, yes 9 months ago.Birthday Gift for my nieces, in meantime they sold the house and play set don't fit in their backyard. Still everything in the boxes. Unopened. Tried to exchange it for a smaller play set, not even having my money back. Just wanted to exchange it! They refused it.Manager said everything is going for clearance , Ok give me clearance price. Still no. And why does coscto and walmart can change in 2 years don't need receit. No wonder they r going out of business.

Hello…have to give credit where credit is due I was at the Stoney Creek location today purchasing a step 2 Play House and the young sales associate that helped me take this to my car was amazing. Anthony was very patient with me as I decluttered my trunk and tried to unlatch the rear car seat to the front so I can put the back seats down to make room for this 3x4 ft box. Anthony was standing outside for at least 20 mins trying to help me…in the cold might I add. Thanks Anthony! I appreciate the outstanding customer service.

I haven't even bought anything from here yet but I spoke to Bridgette on the phone and she was super helpful, personal and genuine in her approach to my questions and concerns on breast pump. They unfortunately didn't have the one I was looking for but the customer service I got from her on the phone was amazing and one of a kind. The manager needs to make sure he keeps her around, service like that is hard to come by, even pharmacist couldn't help me the way she did with my questions

Today I visited toys r us down at Centennial.I was there looking for a birthday present for my 5 year old daughter. I was assisted by very friendly staff who made my shopping quick and very easy. Their staff has very great knowledge of the products and are patient with customers too.I'm happy that with their help I was able to buy the honeylicious LOL set for my girl and she loved it.Thank you all at toys r us for helping in making my baby's day so great.Keep up the great work!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the centennial location! John and his other coworker greeted so enthusiastically we felt like we would've hugged were we not practicing social distancing! Then, Trish R., from the Babies R Us section was patient, really nice, and helpful with all our questions regarding strollers!! Great job to everyone involved. Definitely recommend this location, the staff really show like they care in taking care family shoppers!

Large selection of toys. Nicely organized by type of toy. They have a good sized video game section as well. Some items can be a little pricey but there are good sales from time to time. The store is fairly clean which can be a difficult task considering the number of children about at any one time. I do miss their old location on Wellington as this is now a further drive for us but it's in a nice plaza with other stores we enjoy so that makes up for it.

Edit: I spoke with Jodie and she was very helpful and willing to help me out. Thank you! I appreciate the response. I called another location to price adjust an item that was on sale yesterday and they were willing to do it but couldn’t find the item in stock. This location said they had the item in stock but was unwilling to price adjust. Clearly they are able to seeing as the other location was willing, but they just don’t want to. Very inconsiderate.

We've been there twice in the past 2 weeks, and both times we were greeted by the ever so happy John. He's an absolute gem !!! Fun, funny, happy and sooooooo welcoming. Today we hadn't even gotten out of the car and there he was greeting us as we got a parking spot. Love it!!! The staff inside were also really helpful, and super happy. Love this location. The only issue I have is....As a new Oma, I'm always spending wayyyyy too much on baby clothes :)

7/10/20, We live in the Niagara region, we drive to Stoney Creek every time if we need anything at Toys R Us. Today the store manager Vince and Tina did not let us down. They went over and above for customer service. We purchased a floor model crib and they dissembled it and helped us load it into the van. Also our sales lady was great!!! Very informative with all the products. Great staff!!! Thank you Toys R Us / Babies R Us Stoney Creek!!!

When I think about shopping I really care about my experience in a store. The customer focus and help I received was absolutely amazing. I was in for my 4 year old boy buying him Disney cars. They really helped me out especially John. One of the managers there that is knowledgeable and very helpful when I needed it. This was my second time in that store, know I have made it my only store to shop. Thanks so much! Toys us centennial parkway.

Staff are mostly very young and inexperienced. Many don't seem to know how to do common things, like return an item that was purchased through a gift registry, instead we were told it's impossible (it's not). They are also extremely slow at checkout - but that may be an issue with the ancient cash registers. There are fortunately more experienced staff present, but they are less common. Still, it does have good selection and prices.

This was our first family shopping trip since the pandemic began and we were nervous, but the greeter quickly put our nerves at ease. He welcomed us and our daughter so warmly, he was singing and put us in a great mood right away. He even went int he store to tell the other employees that it was our daughters birthday. Great signage in the store for directions for social distancing and the store was clean and easy to navigate.

Customer service and this location was superb. I had to return a car seat and exchange for another one. Nothing wrong with it just was not the right one. Jon greeted me at the door and was really helpful and directed me to customer service. Miranda and team were amazing on refunding the product and getting me the right one. Thank you for great customer service. The staff here are all very friendly and with a great vibe.

When you can find an employee, because they all seem to hide in the back except one cashier, they are rude and impatient! You work in a children’s toy store, should have a little more patience with the children. Baby’s R Us section seem to have more attentive and patient employees. Stores are always kept well stocked and clean though. Which is appreciated when the toddler wants to test the toys on the floors.

Getting someone to help you find something in the store is impossible, I had looked online and it said my item was available in store and in-stock, I couldn't find the item so I went to customer service and asked if they could help there response was "everything we have is on the floor" so we asked 3 people until someone could point us in the right direction. The staff seems to be untrained and mis managed.

Amazing service!! Staff were so friendly. We were greeted at the door and offered a sanitized cart. We we offered help by store Associates and easily found some great gifts. At the end of our experience a gentleman named John helped us to the car and thanked us for shopping. It was a really personal feeling and at a big box store it’s amazing how much they go above and beyond to offer exceptional experience

I would like to give a big shout out to John that works at ToysRUs on Centennial as a greeter! Today was our third time going there since reopening and his spirits are such a joy to see upon arrival each time. He even sang today as we were approaching. My kids said that he should work at Disney World. John you make those kids so happy and I salute you for your kindness and great spirits! Bravo sir!

I placed a phone call looking for a specific genre for a gift. I spoke with Maggie, who was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, and personable. Sometimes, with larger companies the interaction can be lost. My son and I went in today looking at LEGO. John greeted us warmly and proved to be a LEGO expert, he was very friendly and helpful! Customer service was above and beyond. Maggie helped us find an item that was out of stock and helped us put it on hold at a different location. Casey, someone reltively new I beleive, had such a kind composure when helping children and taught them how to count their money to pay for their item. Absolutely lovely experience by all involved.

This toys r us is a very good store with very good staff. Especially Stephanie the manager was very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Clean store that follows all covid procedures. I like coming here for presents and board games! They have a fantastic selection of board games, despite being a little expensive. Neverending supply of toys and supplies for children and babies. Staff is always friendly and helpful, never a long wait in line either!

Terrible customer service!! The long haired blonde male cashier, once in a while needs to help customers when he’s not busy flirting with the female cashier. Guy can’t answer a simple question and starts shouting at customers! Dude get a life! If you cant help just say you don’t know why shout at customers?

The return policy is terrible especially considering this is for kids. There are items that kids don't like and just because a tape has been removed they are no more eligible for a return?! They usually have what I'm looking for in stock and occasionally have decent sales but I find the service pretty meager. I can never find help and have literally walked around the entire store looking for someone on more than one occasion. I also find the staff pretty dismissive and indifferent.

Just left Toys R us here, and had the most wonderful shopping experience. I was greeted and helped out by a nice Italian lady named Linda, who was extremely cheerful, pleasant and most importantly helpful and respectful. Thank you very much Linda and Toys R us and Babies R us Stoney Creek!

I felt like I was annoying the supervisor or whoever he was when I asked if they had a particular toy in stock. I asked if he could check with the other location after waiting 15 mins for him to check, and he wouldn't. It wasn't the worst service I've ever had but it made me uncomfortable.

The staff here are Champs. I went in around Christmas and everyone was pleasant and happy and ready to help. This is great customer service- being happy whilst kids are screaming their faces off, and parents are yelling. I was super impressed. Way to go.

Their customer service department is very courteous when handling returns, we received great advice when trying to pick a car seat, and Dianne at checkout is a delight. Oh, and their staff at the entrance is probably the best greeter you'll ever meet.

We took my daughter to toys r us weeks before Christmas to write a list for Santa. Lots of selection for kids toys. The prices were moderate, store was clean and organized but the staff had no clue where anything was. A lot of teenage staff.
