    "I wanted to say a huge thank you to Dr Katy Lai ( Infectious Diseases Dr ) for looking after me when she use to work at the John Hunter Hospital here in Newcastle , I originally met her when she had to looked after me during my Emergency admission to F1 Orthopaedic Ward for Severe Septic Arthritis Infection in my Left Side Sacroiliac Illac Joint behind my left hip and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA ) and Methicillin Sensitive Staphylococcus Aureus ( MSSA ) both in my blood I was under Katy’s care along with the help of my original infectious diseases doctor who looked after me 2009-2019 and the orthopaedic team and also the assistance of my Dermatologist, Dr Lai was absolutely a wonderful lady she was caring , polite and kind & friendly though she does talk a billion miles a minute she was still helpful and did absolutely everything she could both whilst I was in the hospital and then when I had her look after me again when my original doctor retired in 2019 until her departure from her ID department at JHH in December 2022 to move to Sydney, She is amazing person and I’m sure all patients of the Infectious Diseases Department at St George Hospital will love her as well and I wish her absolute very best in the rest of her career and future and maybe one day in the future she might come back to Newcastle for a visit , I’m actually now thankfully with Katy’s colleague Dr Sarah Browning she is my 4th infectious diseases doctor since 2006 starting from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where I was a patient both inpatient and outpatient for about 21 years until my transition to see Dr Alexander Tierney at the JHH , Thank you so very much and all the best of luck to you Aimee Stromeier ( Infectious Disease patient) John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights"

Worst service in the country, the receptionists in the emergency department like to discriminate but there's one thing they love more than discriminating people it's doing nothing. I had a suspected fractured tibia, a person called my name to get my x-ray done after nearly one hour, by the time I got up to walk over there I could see he slammed the door shut and left. Everyone in the room heard my name being called I asked the receptionist if there was another James and she said I was the only one. I waited to speak to another nurse who wanted to do nothing also, she said she would check to see if I was called, she went out back waited a minute and told me it wasn't me. I waited another 2 hours and spoke to the reception again who said I wasn't called yet. Soon after a rude nurse what a suprise, just checked my temperature and blood pressure and told me a doctor would attend to me. Another hour later still no x-ray still no doctor, I told the staff this is pathetic as other people who came after me were being checked up before me and I don't mind waiting if i'm actually going to be seen by a doctor. Not only were they rude but they were trying to be smart against me because i'm from a european background and they are stuck as racists who have a prejudice against different cultures. I tried to get help from another staff member because it was the receptionists mission to not assist someone with an injury, it's a shame people like the receptionists at the emergency department from 10:30pm to 2:30am 30/11/22-01/12/22 were such awful people with no respect for anyone or anything. Another person waiting could see they were being smart and preventing me from getting medical assistance, as they tried to speak to the receptionists but it was to no avail. If you are sick go anywhere else, St George public is a cesspit full of entitled, rude and discriminating staff who have nothing better to do than to choose who they want to pick on and try to make their time hell.

I couldn’t wait to leave even though there was so beautiful nice staff just was stressful when change over happened and the older staff didn’t listen even when the doctors strictly said this bsby should be on a strict diet they just get pumping my baby up with formula and then saying she’s vomiting ( over night only) this made her get pushed back into recovery) we even noticed they were giving baby’s formula laying down in the bed , they told me when she can finally go home I will need to be re admitted with her to “test how I am as a new mum” because I wasn’t able to b with her in the maternity ward. And yes husband can stay visiting hours. Once we got into the room at 3:30pm this rude lady in the ward straight away said no visitors at all for 24 hours no food and drink will be given to you either due to covid (all with a big smile) so as a first time mum I had no good or water given to me and trying to breastfeed my baby….. the same rude nurse in the children’s ward also told me I’m wrapping the baby wrong even though for 6 days my baby had been wrapped arms up that’s how she settles and she wouldn’t listen made her cry more she was so unsettled…. She was the worst nurse very rude This place was traumatic my birth was hard and they just made it worse by ending it like this… yes now my baby is 5 months and I love her to bits but the way the hospital handles their staff need to change or postpartum depression will start because of you

Maternity Ward and C-Section Review If you are evaluating whether to go for Private vs Public, go for Private if you can. Major setbacks of going to Public: - You don't get to pick the Anesthetist (even as a private patient). - Your support person does not get to stay over the night. - With Covid-19, only 1 nominated visitor per patient (I get that that's the right thing to do, but the ward staff or entrance staff and security don't seem to do anything about ignorant large families visiting their relatives, and this proves that there is selective application of the rules). Our own experience; the ward's midwifery unit manager (Rebecca) was very welcoming and delightful. Even though you could sense attitude from certain midwives, they were generally helpful and supportive especially during medical episodes (the urgency and attention was felt straight away). Overall, you may need to be slightly pushy and persistent to get what you want. Our real bad experience was with the Anesthetist (Dr. Camille Yip), if she is the one on shift, DO NOT let her come close to your loved ones. She is incompetent and not confident at all. She did Spinal anesthesia which was not fully effective, she gave the green light to the doctor to commence the C-section operation even though she was told by the patient (my sister) that ice could still be felt on the right leg. She gave the green light anyway which left my sister agonizing on the bed as she could feel the cutting, the pulling, the stitching, everything. When I talked to her, she was panicking and didn't seem to know what to do in that situation; I ended up asking her to go for General Anesthesia as the baby was pulled out at that stage. Bottom line, if you have insurance or can afford Private, go for it blindly, a bad Anesthetist could end your health in a blink of an eye.

There was a staff member who was histerical, abusive and dishonest in the emergency department. When I visited there as a patient at about 1 am on 27/Jul/2020, I had a problem to login to the medicare app with my new phone so I asked if she could search my medicare card number with details on my ID. She said she couldn't, which I know to be untrue. Moreover, she scolded me that I shouldn't use the online app and must carry the physical medicare card, which indicates she is outdated and her knowledge is limited. I asked if I can come back since it will take time to recover the login info and it was hard for me to stand for any length of time. She shouted at me that this must be done immediately in her presence because she opened the system. I was so surprised that she was so adamant with her two colleagues in attendance. Eventually, the other staff member who was watching us called me and let me in. While the kind one was checking my injury, she swooped in and threatened me she will charge me $350 unless I bring her the medicare card before I met the doctor. Apparently, she was upset that the other staff member ruined her plan to make me suffer until she gets what she wanted whatever it was. Since the other staff member already found my medicare card number in the system with my ID info, it was no longer needed. Even though it was just bullying, still I went back to her with my medicare card on the mobile app after I finished my X-ray. Funnily enough, she pretended she was typing something onto her system as if she really needed my medicare card. Maybe this is her way to release her stress by bullying patients whenever she finds a victim whom she believes she has control over. I hope my google review and my input into the hospital survey will possibly save the 3rd victim.

I went to see a family doctor due to my physical condition not being suitable for 12/10/2023, but later due to severe illness, I was referred by the family doctor to the emergency of St. George's Hospital for treatment. After investigation and testing by nurses and doctors in the emergency department, it was ultimately decided that I should stay in the hospital for management and observation, and only leave when my life is safe. (Stayed in the orthopedic department of Block west 3/F). After two days of medication treatment and professional care, my condition did not decrease or be under control. Due to the pain of my condition and various uncertain psychological factors, I experienced great emotional pressure, (I had already confirmed my flight schedule for five days in the future, on the 17/10/2023, with the aim of attending my father-in-law's funeral, which was a struggle amidst the torment of illness and family relationships.) Before making a decision, there was finally good news that the hospital could arrange emergency hand surgery treatment as soon as tomorrow (on the 14/10/2023), which is also the safest, fastest, and best method for the patient. Everything went smoothly during the two hour anesthesia surgery, and after continuing to stay in the hospital for observation and treatment for two days, you can leave the hospital. During these days of psychological distress and extreme physical pain in the hospital, I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the medical team at St George Hospital for providing professional treatment and providing me with almost perfect cooperation. Once again, on behalf of me and my family, I would like to express my gratitude to all the medical staff who have provided professional services to patients.

I had 2 bad experiences at this hospital. The first one was on my sons delivery. I went to be induced, the staff very rude since I got there, someone swiped my membranes without saying absolutely anything, it was very painful, was my first child and I didn’t know much. During delivery they kept increasing the oxytocin, I had a huge contraction, it was too much for my body, they turned everything off including the babies heart monitor which was very wrong because the baby could’ve been easily in distress during that incident. One of the reasons was the large amount of meconium that came out of me once he was born. I would say they turned off the baby’s heart monitor to hide evidence of their mistake from giving a huge amount of oxytocin to me. The midwife took a very long time to call the obstetrician because they needed to use the vacuum. After he was born, in the room upstairs I had a urine bag with a catheter and The nurse told me to empty it by myself in the toilet without even explaining how to do it. I had to do it many times. Today my son have delayed development and I’ll never know if that was caused by a lack of oxygen during delivery. It’s very sad to know that all things could’ve been so much better. The second experience was, I had fever and went to emergency. Waited 4 or 5 hours. The nurse told me I had to do a urine test cause she was gonna find out what drug I was taking. Such an insult as I don’t take any drugs, so rude. Then later I was diagnosed with hepatitis A. Also she was pushing Me to take Panadols all the time and lucky I didn’t take too many as it can damage the liver and I would’ve been even more sick if I did take more. Some people shouldn’t be doctors or nurses, they literally are in the wrong profession.

Every time I go there expect for an endoscopy (that section was fantastic) it’s a terrible experience. The other night I was in emergency in 8/10 pain, creeping up to a 9/10.. was horrible, absolutely horrible. We went in at 5.30pm, wasn’t seen for 2hrs.. was just given panadol for excruciating pain out in the waiting room. I begged for some help 4 times before I was finally seen, all she did was feel around my stomach & look in my mouth asking if I had any pain while she was pushing- I said no other than the existing pain I already have all over my abdomen then said there’s nothing we can do other than wait it out & it was discussed they give me endo now & Panadeine Forte to go home with to attempt to manage pain- THEN when it came to collect my meds they just gave me Endone. Drove to the chemist late ant night but realised they didn’t include prescription with the paperwork! Absolutely disgusting waiting times & treatment, there were people there that really needed medical attention ASAP & just weren’t getting it in a timely fashion. No empathy whatsoever, nurses were speaking to each other, joking around- do you know how that feels when someone is in excruciating pain & they’re having private conversations & laughing? Like they don’t give 2 cents about you while you’re literally writhing in pain- there is literally no empathy whatsoever. None. Where else can you go if you can’t get help you so desperately need from a HOSPITAL??? Begging to be seen properly for 3 HOURS is beyond ridiculous. I’m still in pain. I can’t eat anything. I’m really upset. Update: I was diagnosed with Diverticular Disease, enlarged spleen, cysts on ovaries & fibroids by a Doctor that knows what they’re actually doing!!!! SHAME ON YOU QUACKS!!!!

I just want to first thank all of the lovely nurses and doctors who consistently ensured I was always being looked after, and following up on everything during the time I was in hospital. The rheumatologist and doctor alongside her were fantastic and even when she couldn’t do anything for me further she came in every day to check on me. The doctor always made time to answer any concerns or questions and did what he could to make my stay comfortable. However unfortunately the care I received from the dermatology team in the public sector was appalling. They are understaffed and really need more clinics and more dermatologists. I waited 3 days and an extra day in the emergency, to be seen by the dermatologist and only given 5 minutes of her time. I was only seen once in the 5 days I stayed in the hospital, and my diagnosis was left in a nurses note, and no one from the team came and spoke to me regards my diagonsis. I was sent home, put in isolation for 10 days, given treatment none of which helped my condition. I then waited months for my follow up appointment, which was meant to be 4 weeks after discharge. I waited months for my follow up and it was again cancelled last week via postal mail at my old address, no email or calls were used to communicate this with me. I was told to either cancel another work shift to come back the following week or wait until October. I would rather pay to see a dermatologist then be messed around with no clear diagonsis months later.. I find this frustrating and disappointing as my experience aside from the dermatologist was great. Unfortunately I do not recommend attending this hospital for any dermatology related issues especially during an emergency situation !!

1 star is too high. Nurses were super lovely though! Absolute joke of a hospital, honestly! Would receive better care, treatment and medication in a veterinary hospital than here or any NSW hospital by the looks of it! They’re all the same… Thank God I have my own team of specialist doctors that actually know what they’re doing and can fit emergency appointments in. It says something when they urge you to sign yourself out of ICU and tell you what to take for the next few hours until you see them, but oh wait, that’s right, ICU can’t even fax results of a scan to them because they’re still that useless that my doctor pushed my appointment back a day until they fax that scan to them only for ICU to tell me that they can’t do it after all (still useless). So now, I will have to have a CT scan charged to Private health and pay whatever gap is needed, be exposed to radiation (as if I’m not exposed enough to it at work) and wait longer to be readmitted for proper care. By the way, the anti inflammatories that you doctors said wouldn’t help in my case (that my specialist said to take 100mg 3x a day of) helped immensely) you know the ones that the ICU dept took away and denied access of all my medication? Yeah… Also, loperamide worked well too and I slept all night so perhaps instead of playing God, listen to your patient as the ulcers have spread to the mouth and eyes now which could have been prevented if you’d treated it earlier and not for gastro. So thanks for nothing except 2 nights of sleeplessness and immense pain that I’d rather have thrown myself of a cliff than experIence again!

I want to preface with not all staff have been negligent like this but enough to be dangerous. I have an abcyss that upon admission was the size of half a ping pong ball. It swelled to the size of a grapefruit with a small banana sticking out of it. After having one nurse already twist my arm into taking a medication I knew I would react with, I did react to it and it made the pain unbearable for hours. Then while my abcyss is about to burst in my dirty sweaty hospital bed full of germs, it took 2 and a half hours to just relay a message from the dr... Do you want endone? No, if people had written down the adverse reaction from prior, you would've known it makes the pain worse. If your staff had been taking obs of the abcyss like I'd reminded them of multiple times throughout the day. People would see it's growing and they would understand the risk of infection in a grubby hospital bed that hasn't been changed in two days of high fever and diarrhoea. Not to mention drs charting things incorrectly or not at all. I get it's a public hospital and I'm not expecting the Hilton experience, but atleast record the size of the abcyss because every single staff member throughout the day said it hasn't grown. I'll finish with, some nurses have been really good, one more knowledgeable than one of the dr's even. Pointing out a potential danger with one of my supplements should I go into surgery, that the dr knew about but didn't say anything

I was taken to the ED by an ambulance at the midnight last Sunday. I was experiencing a severe headache with dizziness and vomiting due to covid. The ambulance nurses were very helpful, and they took some basic checks for me on the ambulance and comforted me to stay calm. However, my experience with the St George ED was extremely horrible. Firstly, the waiting time was insanely long. I didn't get any treatment after 4 hours of waiting. Also, the environment, especially the room for covid patients. We had to stay in a small room, spreading the virus to each other since almost everybody was coughing and sneezing heavily. Masks were not mandatory either. There's nothing in the room, just a small chair no matter whether the patient was able to sit or not. All the patients including myself were lying on the ground as we were too sick to sit there. The nurses were extremely indifferent. I understand they may have had enough after two years of the pandemic, so they don't care anymore. But at least show some empathy when the patient was in such noticeable pain. I went to ED as I had the severe symptoms listed on the Health NSW website, the lady lying next to me got sharp chest pain, and the man who arrived before us was sleeping or in a coma so I didn't know what happened to him, but none of us did get any treatment before I left. No nurse bothered to ask how we feel either. Recalling the experience of that night is torture to me.

This review is STRICTLY about the ST GEORGE HOSPITAL COVID CLINIC Horrible experience. I went there to get a Covid Test. I waited there since 4:30pm. Right when I was about to go in, they put a close sign out at 6pm despite the fact the website says the clinic closes at 8pm. They didn't even bother telling people waiting outside in the line who didn't see the sign that the clinic is closed early. When I asked whether they'll tell them, I was simply told, "They should be using their common sense". Anyway, they told me that if I waited a bit longer, I might have a chance to go in since I'm technically the next one, so I did. I waited till 7:20pm, and then one of the staff came out told me to go home because there are 15+ people inside currently getting tested. However, that's a blatant lie because everyone from the clinic said the number was below 10. I asked another patient who came out, and they confirmed that only five people were getting tested. Suddenly it went from 5 to 15. St George Hospital Covid Clinic has shown me today that they're not that good with numbers. Apparently, 8pm means 6pm. 5 people is apparently 15 people to them. Anyway, when I called up the Covid Clinic, they told me to fake some symptoms to go into the emergency department to get tested. So apparently, these covid clinic staff workers are willing to clog up the emergency department. Wonderful. Dishonest, disorganised and incompetent.

Several issues with this hospital. 1. Wife was in Emergency and GP has to ask someone from GO (Gynaecology) to come look at her. 2 young looking Indian girls came in very unkept appearance. Unkept in the sense, messy unbundled hair and untidy dressing. They looked like they have not washed themselves. They wore gloves but were touching controls of the bed before examining n touching the patient. They need to observe some basic hygiene and commonsense. Obviouly they are not specialist and cannot conclude the issue. 2. She was later admitted to West ward level 1 after 10hours of non conclusive diagnosis of a bleeding. Nurse wanted to discharge her without a conclusion. As they assume we could go private after arranging us to wrong specialist. I have to intervene to prevent discharge. 3. Thereafter, they have to arrange for a more experienced Gynaecology doctor to check on her again as this. It turns up that this more experienced doctor has seen this similar issues in another patient 2 weeks ago. They then have to look for the correct specialist/consultant to check and operate on her. Bottomline, the patient in emergency has to go through so many checks by so many unexperienced medical trained people, which I am very concerned about their training. 10hrs was a waste of time. Never let emergency department know of yr healthfund. They tend to want to show you the door quickly without identifying your condition.

The Asian face lady at the reception of Respiratory and Sleep Disorder department had no idea what she was doing. I was informed my appointment at 1pm and while arriving, it was their lunch break until 1:15 pm. Why would they pass on a wrong message to their patients? Evenmore, I had to wait until 2pm as I did not have medicare and they could only proceed my appointment after payment. They could have atleast informed me prior and I could have sorted these things before. Also, I have seeing Dr. Hersch for 2 years and I never had to face this issue before. I politely requested her to proceed with my appointment first as it was already an hour late and promised to make the payment afterwards but she declined and wasn't interested at all. I had to spend extra half an hour to finalize the payment from the cashier which is on the other side of the building. After everything was over I asked her to book my next appointment with my doctor and requested her to change my address on their system, which she seemed to be clueless. She then replied saying I will send you an information via mail (not sure what sort of mail she was talking about). I understand that the hospitals are shorted-staffed and it must have been a chaos but atleast these people needs to train themselves and do their homework correctly. Just because of one person who had no clue about her job, patients like us has to face additional problems.

Nursing staff is absolutely useless. Failed to check on my mother for hours at a time after lung cancer surgery. Failed to remember she's allergic to lactose, and made her go without meals because there was no lactose-free option available. Couldn't even remember to give her a spoon with her jelly! Failed to make sure my mother could reach the call button, leaving her helpless and in pain when she dropped the button for her self-administered pain relief. Despite being told the importance of giving my mother the medication she needs for her neurological condition on time, she was consistently given the wrong meds at the wrong times, sometimes up to three hours late, leaving her woozy, shaky and in even more pain. Less important, but still inexcusable, my mother paid the ridiculously high prices they charge for a television that didn't work, only for the nurses to keep forgetting to send someone to fix it. She finally got it fixed on her third night there. Think she'll be reimbursed for the 2 days she didn't get the service she was paying for? I'm not holding my breath. If you have the option to go absolutely anywhere other than St George public hospital, you should absolutely take it. If you don't have the option, then good luck, I hope you make it out alive. These idiots could easily kill someone.

I was hospitalized in St George's hospital almost 3 weeks ago and was advised by the doctor she will make an appointment to see me and assess my health situation plus arranging for some medical equipments to be attached to get my health issue monitored and further investigated. Sounds very nice but when I tried to call their outpatient department on 91132513 I got a very rude and unprofessional person by the name of Sophie who not only didn't even pay attention to my explanation and issue but brushed off all my nice requirements as well. She talked over me all the time, didn't let me talk, quite condescending and eventually hung up on me. The conversation only lasted 5 mins but I was left disgusted. So I called their customer complaint hotline and got a customer care manager calling me back. She took notes of my complaint and said will have the manager of the outpatient dept to call me back with the outcome. This morning I got a call from a Michelle who said she's the manager of the outpatient dept and wanted to let me know that the rude staff member is a senior one in her team and that person's manner is not questionable ... I was more shocked ...I probably will go to a different hospital next time after this first unpleasant experience with you guys.

WHAT HAPPENED: ive been to childrens emergency here 3 times. my recent visit was roughly 3 weeks ago. i had pain in right abdomen, and feared for appendicts or something to do with ovaries. got there roughly at 11:30pm, toward 12:30am i did pee sample. Finally at 1:45am ish an asian doctor came!! she had a pixie cut, and she was the best ! she asked relevent questions and urged for a blood test, and made sure i was comfortable especially when asking questions. finally by 4 we left, as she referred me to an ultra sound and got a specialist down for me to double check. FEEDBACK: i believe that the waiting times are very long. a young girl beside me with a heart condition was waiting almost 7 hours! not only that, but i heard a nurse speaking very rudely to a clear foreigner who was stressed over her child. the nurse was so rude me and my mum agreed there was racism! I believe a sense of urgency should be pushed on nurses. while being questioned by nurse, she gets interrupted by another nurse as they talk and laugh. in additon, please dont leave children waiting on chair when beds r available! kids were using up chairs and even i was sleeping on chair as beds werent given even when they were available. keep doing what ur doing :)

There is a nurse in on the 4th floor (Covid19 vaccine area) that is absolutely brilliant when it comes to vaccine jabs that is from New Zealand. She is excellent in every way possible and made me feel so comfortable and very well informed. There should be 1000 of her on that whole floor doing the vaccines as she knows what she is doing, explains everything and it doesn't even feel like she is giving you a jab. She really made my second visit there a comfortable stress free one. 30 years of nursing experience blinking well shows! 3 weeks ago I had one of the worse nurses there that made me bleed plus my arm was in alot of pain from the time she administered the Pfizer. I think she jabbed it too deep as it was excruciatingly painful from the word go. Personally, I feel, she shouldn't be doing vaccines at all! Nice enough girl, but not the greatest with needles as the experience for me was on the side of traumatic. Where the hospital is concerned - I found it very hygienic, easy to navigate and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. A+

I had an allergic reaction and told a nurse my face was very swollen- she told me there was nothing wrong and that's just how I look when I wake up!! She told me that my swollen eyes "just had eye bags" and that "I look fine and there's nothing wrong." If it were an anaphylactic under her care her ignorance could have been fatal. It was only when my family arrived and reiterated what I said about the swelling that I was taken seriously but once they left she told me again "see it's going down, you were just puffy from your sleep." The nurse I first saw was also extremely rude and talked over me like I was an idiot and implied that I was lying about some things I was saying, another was irritable and rude with me because i got admitted to the ward when it was almost full- the absolute worst nurses I've ever dealt with. I dealt with 7 of them and only 2-3 of them were any good. The waiting times were also ridiculously long. The doctors however were very good, hence the additional 2 stars.

I wouldn’t let my dog stay in this hospital! Staff are hopeless, misinformed, scream at each in so called ‘quiet wards’. My mother had a heart attack & due to her fragile state, they were unable to further intervene other than to offer therapeutic/conservative medication, with strict instructions from the specialists to keep her stable & calm. We were told to make plans for palliative/end of life care at home.Well, not only was my mother placed in a ward where senior nurses screamed & laughed at each other, but when I managed to calm her (12 hour effort), the nurses moved her to another room, causing further stress & disruption. She was placed in a hot room, once again causing her stress, anxiety & sweating for the rest of the night. Not exactly the service expected as private patient, eh? This hospital is a circus, where patients come out traumatised! Shame on them! Our health system is that of a third world nation. No trust the public health system.

Yes, it took 9 hours to be seen by a doctor. Yes, the nurses and receptionists wouldn't win a popularity contest. As a patient I was there for an emergency, but I understand that if someone with a more serious emergency will be seen to before me, even when they come in after I have. I also understand that the staff's priority is to help patients, not to say please and thank you. Patients need to know that during the evening through to 8am there are 2 doctors, one junior and one senior, for all patients in both the adult and children's emergency waiting area. This is not the fault of the emergency department's staff. If you have complaints about this there are other, more effective, avenues to voice your complaints. Once I was seen by the doctor I was scheduled for surgery the following morning. I was treated successfully by friendly, caring staff, from ward nurses, surgery staff through to kitchen and cleaning employees. I am extremely grateful

I was suicidal and was talking to the male EMT about male issues and the female EMT demonstrated that she didn't want to help me any more by slamming the door in my face while walking off in front of the male EMT and my suicidal self. I am constantly reminded that the women here who have a job to save lives, don't think I even deserve to live for talking about men's issues and will demonstrate accordingly. I've been in more than a dozen therapy sessions and am no better off one year on and this has had a massive impact on my mental health as a consequence. This isn't the place to go for mental health issues if you're male, as they may make things far worse for you as they have done to me. God forbid our gender is even allowed to talk about our issues. You would not see me treating a woman in such a way if she were to communicate her issues to me. There's a huge double standard there. What a horrendous experience when I needed help the most.

To be honest, I don't know if I'll choose to give birth here for my second one. Went there as i was in labour, was "Welcomed" by a very grumpy midwife who basically told me i was exaggerating the pain. Nurses coming in and out : never close the door, light on, off, on, off... had zero opportunity to rest which is the basic need after giving birth. Asked for vegetarian food, been given beef every meal... I mean overall you're just a number to them. Oh! And the radiology? Rude AS. Emergency? Went there with a massive mastitis (like a golf ball size) . Nope, they just sent me home, cuz "looked alright". My husband been there for a deep cut, they weren't able to make a proper bandage. Some nurses even had those long acrylic nails while changing my IV catheter!!!! I should feel grateful for having free hospital care, but this place is just a Muppet show.

Nothing but kind words for this hospital and all their staff. I came through emergency and was taken very seriously, went straight through before being admitted for 2 weeks to the respiratory ward. Although there was some delays due to the Easter weekend I was kept up to date and treated with a great respect. All the nurses on 6B have my highest praise, and Dr Metti and his team were incredible. I’ve also been through emergency for a less pressing concern, although I had to wait (as expected for non life threatening concerns) the staff were lovely and happy to answer my questions about my wait time. Once seen by the Dr they were amazing, apologetic about waiting and attended to my needs with professionalism and got me out of there in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend this hospital to anyone

Had a mental breakdown, rang the hospital to be put onto a telehealth nurse and was antagonised, bullied and hung up on by the switchboard operator there, by the end of the call I even asked to be transferred to mental health as I was having an episode and was simply laughed at and told I had nothing between my ears by a person enjoying a “burger with the lot” whilst on a call to someone having a medical emergency. Nice to see this is how they treat people with mental problems, it’s bad enough they have done what they have to the fitzpatrick family but I assure that this would not be the only case, serious mis management at this hospital on top of a lack of honesty or duty of care coming from the people working there. Disgusting people like this still work in healthcare in 2022

The hospital services and staff are top of the line. My midwife Rebecca was the most amazing woman I have ever met. She had the most nurturing and loving nature about her, i can hand on heart say she had such a calming effect on me and made my whole birthing experience above board. I can't thank her enough for sharing what she did with me. She went above and beyond and my family are forever grateful. From beginning to end, Rebecca was there for us in more ways than one. Thank-you so so much from the bottom of our hearts. I will add our birthing experience was just as spectacular and a shout out to all the staff especially my anesthetist who pumped up the bpllywood music in the birthing room for the fun of it. Loved every second!!!

My Wife had a week in Acute Services building, ward, doctors and nurses excellent. Patient meals AWFUL. Frozen/thawed soggy sandwiches. Pumpkin soup tasted like pureed straw. She was served a green orange with salt and pepper packets, foto available! I fed Her from home. Catering should visit President Private Hospital where thankfully my Wife was transferred to, whose meals are both nutritious and attractive. My Wife could have begun learning to walk again after spinal surgery 2 days earlier if not held back by juvenile physios, my impression: lost in text books and inexperience. Physios would do well to learn from experienced physios at President Private Hospital who had my Wife on Her feet with a walking aid immediately.

Covid vaccination - enter hospital campus via pedestrian entrance at Belgrave Street (where it becomes South street) next to the loading dock. Walk straight ahead along the path and on the right next to the café is the vaccination entrance. There was no sign but it was marked by a temporary white awning and a queue. There’s a process of QR code check in and temp check then another queue for lift to level 4 where vaccination takes place. Upstairs it’s a shuffle through three rooms. First is ID check and vaccination registration, then it’s the vaccination room and finally recovery for 15 mins. Water and toilets available. Efficient, clean, organised. Pleasant, professional staff. Whole thing took me about 70 mins.

Amazing doctors who are quick (efficient) yet thorough in their provision of care. Doctors are obviously passionate about the work, but are understaffed and overworked. Meanwhile desks are packed with glacially slow receptionists who clearly hate their job, can’t even even manage a “Hello”, and spread that negativity to patients. How does a desk with two receptionists manage to only get through one customer every 5 mins? Meanwhile other departments don’t have any receptionists and doctors are left to do their own mundane paperwork instead of providing care. Seems receptionists need performance metrics, and a reminder that they wouldn’t have a job without the patients they apparently hate so much.

Negligenct and uncaring, I get you guys are probably underpaid but that doesn't excuse poor behaviour after my partner gave birth they yanked the placenta out and didn't even check it properly too see if any was missing my partner spent two days in maternity where it's barely any care for you they might pop in every couple of hours to wake you up to feed your baby even if it's not hungry. After leaving the maternity ward within an hour and a half we were back as my partner started rapidly loosing blood which she nearly died from because there was placenta left inside of her she spent a couple days in ICU where staff where amazing then back to maternity ward where staff have been rude and pushy.

As mentioned by other parents the staff etc are good, but the food is terrible. I was here about 3 years ago and complained, couldn't eat the food. About 1 year ago I spent 5 days at St Vincent private hospital, what a difference, much better variety of meals and much better quality. Unfortunately back at St George Private again for 5 days and nothing has changed, staff good food disgusting. I had chicken and mashed potatoes, it was a small piece of chicken but it was so dry I couldn't eat it. The potatoes were so dry and tasteless I think they must be a week old. Could some please force the people that manage the kitchen eat nothing but their food for a week!!!

As an emergency patient and then a heart patient on the 6th floor , I have to say the staff were amazing, non stop care all hours. However the facilities including shower was disgusting. Black mould all over the walls and black ceiling was not a great start to the day. For some reason I was in a ward with 3 old men who did not have heart problems and kept me awake most of the night, burping, incoherent etc etc I was glad to get out of there. Food is typical hospital, no taste, soggy. Main thing that concerned me is that I pay top Private Medical Insurance, St George Hosp made me sign a payment document..........so who actually came out the worst in this case?

I was physically harmed by psychiatric staff at this hospital after my abusive mother falsely claimed that I was feigning illness. The mental health service knew that there was a history of domestic violence towards me and still took my mother’s word at face value. Even after I was discharged, my possessions were withheld by nurses who accused me of stealing them from the hospital. Those nurses prevented me from taking a cab even though I was seriously injured; I had to leave on foot and hurt myself further in the process. This is the worst hospital I’ve been to in metropolitan Sydney and frankly it’s better to go almost anywhere else but here.

I have spent the last week in this hospital being cared for by the most fantastic people. 3 shifts a day and not once have any of them been without a kind word, friendly smile or instant helpful response. I'm saving names so as not to embarrass any of them but each one who looked after me in ward 2 south room 8 bed 1 is a true legend of their profession and deserves every ounce of my thanks and respect. We should be proud to have staff like this in our medical profession. It's what makes Australia one of the world's best in this field. Well done sincere recommendations to anyone coming here...you're in excellent hands

Very bad front desk and customer service.I have been coming to this hospital more than many years now. It’s always bad customer service , front office and reception. Maybe hire some young polite and nice staffs who can hear properly most of the people, I think Cannot here what people are speaking in the department and always remember Sydney is a multicultural country be careful a for the words you use. I have been a social worker for long time. This kind of behaviour should not be tolerate. Always remember we are here for the service not you guys. It doesn’t cost any money to be nice, smile and talk to anyone.

I had the most wonderful experience with the maternity staff at St George public. My first daughter was through a private hospital which was a terrible experience for me - this is my second birth and the ladies helped me achieve my goal of a Vbac birth and I wouldn’t have been able to without their incredible, above and beyond support. They were encouraging and kind from the moment my husband and I arrived. From the amazing staff through to the incredible facilities - I absolutely loved my experience and birth and will forever be grateful. A huge thank you especially to Tara, Bianca and Melodie ☺️☺️

THE best hospital for doctors and nurses. They really take good care of you. I had a cancer operation in the past and was fortunate enough to have the best surgeon, Dr Greg Robertson, who is in the Cancer Care Team with Dr Jodi Lynch and Dr Catherine Clark - these 3 people are the best in their field, anywhere, and for me they are the "saints" who saved my life. Recently I was hospitalised for Covid 19 and this excellent hospital saved my life again. The nurses a d doctors in the Covid ward were excellent. Of course, the food and kitchen staff is a different story - but who goes there for the food?

I praise Lord for my surgery was successful without no severe complications. Thanks to God. Out of 5 I give 3% overall to the hospital, 1 star for dr Emmanul karantanis team Surgeons very experience and understanding, 1 star to my anaesthetist team that were very knowledgeable about MD patients and 1 star to two of my nurses looking after me I had 6 nurses over duration of 6 days and only two were caring, compassionate and patient the other 4 . Hospital needs to be cleaned more often and more food options available. Im sure i will recover well with Gods help and my family.

Shout out to the nurses and staff at the day surgery unit of St George Hospital who treated me today, particularly Pamela. They were professional, efficient, courteous and took real care of the patients there with kindness. For those who have left negative reviews or will go to the hospital in the future please remember the staff are human too. They too have lives and families outside of work, and pressures from the job and procedures they need to follow. They don't have a magic wand. I hope we can all treat hospital staff with kindness and respect, which will only help them in helping you.

I lost my grandmother early this week after a lengthy battle with heart failure. I cannot fault the hospital and the staff in any way - my grandma was looked after very well by the community palliative care team and hospital in the home doctors and nurses, all of whom showed immense compassion, professionalism and understanding every step along the way. The nurses and aged care doctors on ward 6A were also amazing and kept us constantly informed and involved the care of my grandma when she was admitted and as she deteriorated. Thank you to all for helping us through this difficult time.

Stay far away from St George Public Hospital. They discharged me twice before understanding that i urgently needed a surgery. They made me suffer for a month, continuing saying that I would have been all right and i only needed to wait and see. Finally after a month when I continued to get worst, they decided to proceed with a surgery. Also, nobody could see from the ultrasound that i has 1 Litre of blood that was a huge risk of infection??? The doctors there are absolutely ridiculous, careless, they do not value people's life. If you value your health, choose an other hospital.

I arrived at the emergency in st George Hospital on the 14th of dec 2022, the ambulance people were really nice and helpful, I waited for several hours before I was seen by a doctor, I was in severe pain, bad inflammation of my legs, neck, I had nothing to drink or eat until 10 pm in short stay ward, the doctor kept blaming my ms, I knew it wasn’t, one blood test and a scan, was given med for ms nerve pain and Panadol , send home the following day. My GP had several test done I was diagnosis of a serious arthritis attack not my ms, the outcome could have dangerous outcome.

St George Hospital is a great hospital. My stay in the Private ward was exactly what we needed when I gave birth to my baby girl in November 2021. The room was big enough to also have my husband stay with me while I was recuperating. During my delivery, I had a fantastic doctor and midwife team with me as I brought my baby girl into the world. The midwife, Claire, immediately made me feel safe and sound when my contractions were affecting me and my ability to think. I couldn’t have had a better delivery of my baby girl in the safe conditions provided by this hospital.

Nurse's in ICU and 5 South are absolutely amazing!! The Nurses in ICU and 5 South went above and beyond to make me feel so comfortable while I attended St George's Hospital The University staff are also just as amazing. The social worker Madeline for cardiovascular helped me and my husband out so much going above and beyond to make mine and my husband's stay a comfortable one. Being so far from home was very hard for us both but Madeline's help made our stay at St George's Hospital a stress free experience Thank you to all at St George's Hospital

I would give more than 5 stars if possible. My second child is born here. The staffs and midwives are super helpful and very caring. They talk with sympathy, helps with any query and encourages your recovery. I was very happy and assured while staying there. The staffs in the newborn nursery were very friendly and caring. Whenever I called, they came to my room and helped. There are some places of improvement though. Like there should be a nutritionist who should suggest best food for the patient instead of choosing by the patient herself.

Staff are nice but feels very disorganised. Lots of admin mistakes and very long wait times. Also they do not allow unvaccinated family or friends to accompany emergency patients, regardless of a previous recovery, medical exemption or negative covid test. This was very traumatic for my partner and I when she suffered a miscarriage. Seems like a dated, unscientific and discriminatory policy nowadays, especially considering what we now know about the temporary effectiveness of the covid vaccines. I hope they change this rule in the future.

I am a private patient sitting in a private hospital. I’d followed all the instructions provided to me prior to admissions including making financial payments. I had arrived on time for day surgery only to sit in a waiting room between 3-4 hours. When I had asked one of the nurses what’s the wait they very nicely advices that they don’t have a bed available - this is shocking! Its aggravating as the only deference between public and private is that in private hospitals you pay through nose and obviously get the same treatment - very sad!

Since this place is closest to me i had to come here! Every time they kept me waiting for more than 3-4 hrs! I have a fishbone stuck to my throat since yesterday. I checked with emergency doctor and she asked me to come back next day around 7:30 for ENT Process. I have been fasting since 12:00am. When i arrive to the ent clinic they told me there is no appointment booking for me!! And took my details again. Its now 8:40am. i am have been struggling of pain since yesterday yet no doctor to see me any time sooner. Not coming back for sure

Our experience at St George hospital was extremely positive. From emergency to childrens ward 1 East to the surgical unit. During a really traumatic time, they really helped us through. Professional, patient, kind. A convivial atmosphere where all the staff seemed like they were happy to be there with their colleagues, working together to a great result. Just wanted to express our thanks. It wasn't just one staff member, the emergency team, doctors and nurses, the children's ward team, the surgical and post op team. Amazing.

Can not fault the neurosurgical team! After experiencing the most excruciating pain, they treated me with the utmost empathy and loving care. Very passionate team that loves what they do which in turn gave me the exact care I needed to return home pain free. Issues however with the communication between wards is a red flag. Nursing staff were lovely however transferring between wards left me in limbo and traumatised due to the lack of communication. One ward seemed to have the “not my job” attitude which was disappointing.

was at St George Ward South 5 for 4 days (Room 1) and would like to express my upmost gratitude for all the staff there. The nurses are worth their weight in gold. Doctors were professional and kind. Shout out to Nurse Taylor...most wonderful nurse and person, could not speak more highly of her. They made what was a very unexpected hospital stay in a very unfamiliar place (i just happened to be in the St George area when i became unwell) a calming and bearable and even pleasant experience. This review is for the behaviour of the receptionist of emergency department. I had to go there for my eye problem it was totally bad condition but that time she was behaving so rude that was hurting mentally as well still I’m not feeling ok with that . The time was around 2.00 am to 2.30 am and she was at counter no 4 , middle aged lady , I couldn’t see her name as my eye was not in good condition. Anyway the nurse and doctor were so good and cordial but I don’t know why that receptionist behaved like that .

Saint George Hospital deserves nothing short of a 5 star. My dad and uncle have had so many acute and chronic care provided at Saint George public and we have always been in awe of the quality of care provided, be it by the nurses, doctors or social workers. The wards are kept clean, and even the support staff has a caring attitude, which is so touching, because interactions in a hospital are taking place when patients and families are at their most fragile and sensitive. THANK YOU Saint George hospital staff.

The service here was honestly above and beyond despite being here for terrible circumstances. My mum came here via an ambulance and was transferred to ICU. The new facilities allowed her to have her own room and be as comfortable as possible while we were treated with great care from the receptionists in ICU through to the nurses, surgeons and doctors. Unfortunately, my mum didn't make it but I am thankful for the brilliant support and care from all the staff involved during this traumatic time.

The treatment I got here for a bicycle accident I had (where I got my arm broken) was exemplary. The nursing and medical staff really were professional and reassuring. I had an initial bad experience with this rude, arrogant, overweight male NUM from the ED department, but one bad apple doesn't ruin the hospital. Saw the security man handle this aggressive guy on drugs, and as strange as this may sound, they did it in the nicest way possible. Great hospital, but I hope I never come here again.

This is by far the best public hospital in Sydney, when my partner got sick and required three Emergency Department visits, the doctors and nurses were outstanding, especially in Short Stay Unit and Acute Care Stay, the Doctors and Nurses in Neurology and 5 South were amazing, I watched them work tirelessly and the healthcare they provided was incredible. Can’t say thanks enough for all of their care and hard work THANK YOU FOR BEING WONDERFUL AND KIND!!

Thank you to the registered nurse (RN) Clare at St George hosptial in the emergency department. It was my first time having to go ED and I was seen in a timely manner. She was very professional and friendly, making me feel assured. She informed me throughout regarding what to expect or if any pain was involved. She also managed to get the foreign object out of my foot (which wasn't so clear cut). Thank you Clare. Also would have happy gas again... .

Our son was born in the birth unit at St George public hospital. The midwives, the doctors, the nurses and the boss of the unit were all very nice to us. The birth rooms are amazing, clean and well equipped. In total we spent 3 days in the hospital and it was a great experience. Been here since 7:40pm on Monday 28th August 2023 it’s now Tuesday 29th August 12:05am and the staff show no interest in monitoring medical condition after several attempts of asking them when my friend is going to be seen by a doctor and telling the nurses/staff how much my friend is in pain only for us to be told that you are next in line for the past 3 hours. It’s so unsympathetic as nurses are supposed to be caring so where is their duty of care.

If you are to choose a hospital this one has really new and well equipped emergency department. Wards are a bit less nice but still ok. The main issue is shortage of staff (it could be a general issue in this state tough). Even in emergency everything is very slow and main reason is that medical professionals are absolutely stretched between number of patients and simply incapable to attend a patient with the speed which is objectively needed

They gave my 91year old father amazing care, they were both compassionate and caring and always listened to dad and myself and my siblings. They were all very approachable no matter how busy they were and I appreciate how demanding their job is. My experience in St George Hospital Kogarah was absolutely beautiful. I was there for delivery on November 2021 where I was very nervous but the midwife who looked after me were so helpful and made me comfortable which helped me on my delivery a lot. No beds available for sick patients presenting to St. George emergency department. The triage nurse was apologetic and said "you should be in a bed, but we don't have any beds". So my partner has to remain seated in the waiting area for over 2 hours When I enquired when a doctor would be available the answer was "not sure". We ended up leaving without seeing a doctor. We pay our taxes, but emergency medical care is not accessible!!

Today my wife have a Teleconference with one of the Dr. Lee ( unknown First name ). This guy was very rude in conversation. He is not helping the patient, he just said if you ( my wife ) want treatment have to wear the machine if not she is not entitled to drive ? What the help is this kind of Doctor ? Please training the Doctors with their attitude and manner before talk to the patient. Thank you for look at this matter seriously.

I was in Severe Pain they made me wait 4.5 hrs just to get a nurse and who gave me a panadol. They also took urine test which they said would take 15 min but they wait us wait for 2 hrs. They also said i will get a doctor after 6.5 hrs at first and then they said they have not said that after waiting for 7 hrs. They were letting in people who had mild issues. on top of that one of the attendant in the enquires was very rude.

I have been attending this hospital for many years and find the medical staff extremely professional, friendly, and have wonderful bedside manner. Parking is a bit of a issue for visitors and or patients but taxi service comes right up to the front door and there is a drop off point. The heated pool (for physio) is always clean and you are assisted at all times. Nursing staff are excellent and often not given enough praise.

My partner sliced his leg open, ST George Emergency was our closest hospital. We had the most lovely and professional doctor take care of us. I would recommend Dr Sanj (the Scottish doctor) to anyone. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the lovely door staff to the moment we were assigned Dr Sanj, the whole team were fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for the top experience in a stressful situation.

My mother was in the geriatric ward and asked for a bed pan - she waited for 1/2hour and was told because they are understaffed they couldn’t get to her and that she should just soil herself and they would clean her when they had time. Pretty degrading to expect your patients to sit in their own filth. The day before she waited 2 hours for a bed pan and when they finally got to her they left her on the pan for 40 minutes.

A great experience under terrible circumstances. I had to have tummy surgery after complications with a previous appendectomy was done in a different hospital. Professor Morris and his team where so professional and caring every step of the way and the nurses the days following while I recovered where amazing. So attentive and also caring. The ER dept was also super attentive when I first checked in and helped out heaps

Maintain your private health insurance. My elderly mother was discharged from hospital and not given the rehabilitation that she obviously needed and what the cardiologist requested. So sad that there is not a holistic approach to the patient's care. Whilst the nursing care was adequate the other members of the multidisciplinary team need to have a better understanding of what care the elderly required post surgery.

Went to this hospital for having chest pains after the thingy. I was seen and tests were done. I was told it’s the good pains to have and to make sure I have the 3rd, really?? Since when is chest pains good to have? Be great full there is no review about what happened here in 2012 as it was worse than shocking and deliberate. Oh, and my shoulder. I tell the truth when asked about it, nice try with your intentions.

Triage nurse came out and started abusing me in emergency for having my service dog with me. When I tried to explain that she was a psychiatric assistance dog through minddogs and provide my dogs credentials she told me to 'shut up' and threatened to call security and the police on me. Pretty poor form, I will be lodging a complaint with the health department and disability discrimination in the morning.

I can not thank the medical staff enough, who went out of their way to help me, and ensure I got complete care. Coming from the US where hospitals can be a nightmare, this was truly a good experience for me and made me remember that doctors and nursing staff are kind and caring. I just want to say thanks to the emergency room staff and short stay for all your assistance. It was so very much appreciated.

poorly organised hospital i wouldn’t return here waited over 12 hours with a broken wrist , was discharged on a sunday and wasn’t given no x-rays from surgery or discharge papers it’s been a few days now and myself and doctors haven’t received anything i just say in saying all the the surgeons and staff “ in that section were amazing during the process of working on me and takin me back up to the ward

I was heavily injured in an accident. Even though I couldn’t sit by myself there was no bed for me so they made me sit on the chairs. I had to wait more than three or four hours for the doctors without any treatment. I had a lots of cuts and bruises all over my body but they didn’t even do any dressing. It was a horrible experience. I was never ever treated like this in my whole life.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at St George Hospital in the ICU and Acute section at St George Public hospital. The care they provide, professionalism, and hard work it's 100% and above. Such a horrible experience! Go somewhere else! Waited for over 4 hours to see a doctor. One of the workers was extremely rude when I asked how much longer I’d need to wait! The staff here seem to be on a very high horse in believing they can speak to people rudely. Very disappointing to see how much St George hospital has let itself go! Bring back quality doctors and nurses!

The staff here are just wonderful. Accident and Emergency is really fast (if you have an emergency). The Staff of ward 6 South (Neurology) are amazing. The hospital is currently being updated so some wards etc not as new as others, we didn't come for the amenities so didn't really care but would highly recommend for the care. A great hospital with very caring staff

This hospital is very crowded and slowwww. my dad got deep cut in his head and he was in a really bad headache bleeding from his head but they really let us wait for 5 hours and told us to wait more. they can’t even clean the wound. i got dizzy seeing him bleeding and we ended up getting no stitches. we went to another hospital and they gave us stitches directly.

We just left!!! Firstly, the old philipina nurse at the front desk was rude. Someone should teach her how to talk to friendly people. Secondly, 5 min after going into emergency, they put my wife in a waiting room full of people all coughing and sneezing. No thank u we don't want corona virus. Knowing that there's no point to talk to those people we just left.

Have used this hospital when I gave birth and on a small number of times when my son was sick. The midwife clinic is outstanding and the midwifes on duty at the maternity ward did such a fantastic job. The emergency section for children is great also. So grateful for the services they provide and have nothing but good things to say about this hospital.

Great hospital which has been neglected by successive state governments, temporary offices etc off Belgrave St have been there for over 20 years and it's a tight squeeze for patients and staff. However the staff are great , what really concerned me was the notice on a wall indicating staff were trying to raise 180000 to expand their premises.

They treat us very poorly as patients. They mock you, laugh in your face, and give you a terrible look after you have waited for them for a while. They treat you horribly, as evidenced by my encounter with Dr. Ng, Sam Yuk Pui. This doctor made fun of me in a way that left me feeling mentally exhausted. I hate this hospital

Terrible old hospital with staff on some wards extremely rude and just a general sense of disdain for patients. Still many staff doing good work but mistakes are made and when you are unwell and people are rude, it's super unpleasant. Assert your rights as a health consumer and don't accept rudeness and incompetence.

Had to go to the hospital for a very painful and swollen knee. I found the staff to be very polite and warm. The nurses were very good and considering the amount of patients the waiting time was not excessive. The doctor I saw was very easy to talk to and dealt with the problem quickly. Good experience all round.

Nurses were truly wonderful and caring despite being very overworked and underpaid. Our country needs to fund our healthcare system more and pay our nurses better - it's extremely disappointing how many people complain about the wait they have to endure when it's not the fault of the doctors or nurses at all.

Given birth twice here in the Birth Centre and also delivery suite. Midwives were very experienced and warm. Maternity ward seems a bit understaffed though, during both my stays I've had to wait for several hours for a routine check-up or to be discharged. They've also forgotten to give me meals.

Going to the hospital is bad enough but making patients wait an extra 3 hrs from appointment time is beyond acceptable! You expect elderly patient to walk around to look around for receptionist to check in when its not clear to find the location at the 2 East level. Brilliant idea guys …

Waited 5 hours at the covid testing centre to be told that the where not doing more tests at 5:30 pm. The turn around of patients is painfully slow, you stand in line for 30 minutes and they take 4 people through. Very poor organisation as you have to fill in forms manually with pen and paper

Been waiting for 7 hours in Emergency with my 83 year old Mother (suspected blood clot as advised by her GP )A national Disgrace, I don't know what has come of the country we once knew .Shame! I'm in absolute disgust with our medical system. FAILURE Big time !!! NO REGARD FOR THE ELDERLY.
