Googled best places in Seoul for house music and ended up at Club Vurt with my brother. It was a Saturday night and I made sure to check their Insta to see who the DJs were (hadn't heard of either of them). Walked over from the Hongik University area around 12am and easily found the entrance—the people smoking outside dressed in all black were a dead giveaway. Cover was ~$15 which included a drink ticket. Interior vibes were dark and austere, not too big but enough space to dance without being pressed up against anyone else. Sound system is amazing and I loved the DJs, hard techno vibes. Not speaking Korean wasn't as issue and we never felt weird about being foreign tourists. Can't wait to go back!

Vurt NEVER disappoints! My #1-fave-go to underground club/venue for the deepest minimal techno & tech-house in Asia (even tops Tokyo scene for legit/new/fresh/burgeoning techno). No pretense, all there in the dark to take in the beat/sound. Can tell/feel that the DJs letting lose & also enjoying Vurt’s energy. Impressive roster of “international”/Euro, Korean, and Japanese DJs/producers. I’ve been there alone & with friends, and always counting down to return. Really, I’ve even taken a weekend trip from japan just to go to Vurt and see an awesome act/set. Go, techno on!!

Disclaimer: was a Monday, but given the reviews I read and this place being market as a techno place, showed up and just a few people, no dj and the weirdest most boring ambient music I’ve ever heard. Bartender was a nice guy but seemed pretty ambivalent. Would try again on a weekend I guess but a city this big and marketed as the best techno/house spot in the city you would at least expect that kind of music would be on, even if it was just Spotify....

The ambience is like no other. If you want to listen to techno in a Berlin-style club while you're still in Asia, this is the spot. Drinks are fairly priced, cover is about normal for the area, and music is top-notch. Smoking is allowed on the dance floor but not art the bar.

Raw techno vibe and good sound! Misses a quiet place to talk. One drink in the entrance fee (20k). Thumbs up for the no picture policy, no annoying screens while you dance.

This place is a great little bunker for some great techno. Loved it. Maybe check the official site as it may only be open for special events?

My favorite club in Seoul. They offer dance music with great djs invited from Japan/Europe and Korea. The place is worth to visit.
