Just speaking here as a worker at a Birkdale shop I would not ever Refuse service to disability person of the public it brake my heart to see this and to the owner of that shop i hope you get whats coming and to the lovely person that had to go through is keep your head held high mate

Overpriced and sub par food. There is better just up the road near the pier. Had a terrible experience when i was there, they asked some poor fellow to leave in his mobility scooter. As a patron at the time i was disgusted to see that as i myself am disabled but dont use any aids.

Disgusting, they refused service to a disabled person. There is no good enough reason for this. Good service would have been to ask if he needed any assistance and happily clean up after him thanking him for his support of your business. You deserve to be shut down for this.

  • Jim Bob

I'm disgusted that you would refuse a disabled man who is just enjoying breakfast. In a time when retail is struggling I would love every cent customers would give me. Spending 2 minutes max to clean up after would be a pleasure. Do you think he would purposely make a mess?

  • Kathy Pahl

I would never eat here as i have seen two reviews how they refused service to a disabled person and one was for making a mess. I have children who make a mess so wouldn't dream of eating anywhere that is unwelcoming to other human beings. How disgraceful.

  • Teleigha Ross

Horrible service, as a mum myself of a disabled child horrifying to know this place refuses to serve disabled but loving people - This place is shameful and knowing this now in future I can't and wont be bringing my son here again due to there own views

  • Joane Hall

A take away that refused to serve a disabled person does not deserve to have a shop. I have seen so called normal people make a mess but you take money from them and say nothing . Have a long hard look at yourselves. We will never use your takeaway

  • Cecilia Kovacic

Absolutely amazing service. Family friendly, so kind and welcoming to everyone. We have a four year old who is loud, messy and may cry sometimes, but they are always so accepting and welcoming. Best place to eat in Wynnum. Best food. Best prices.

  • Graeme & Diana Anderson

I understand you refused to serve a Disabled person......... I'm disabled with a Prothesus (artificial leg) ((in case you didn't know what a Prothesus is)) I will never eat at your takeaway. I will also pass it on facebook about your attitude.

  • Brendo Curtis

The usual cheap fatty food takeaway, with one key difference: this place refused service to a disabled man living with Multiple Sclerosis because apparently "he eats messy". There's no place in our community for this kind of discrimination.

  • Andrew Morris-Costigliola

I cannot believe that a wonderful man who is wheel chair bound who looks forward to getting out every 6 weeks for a haircut and fried breakfast can be treated so disgustingly by this so-called company. They sent the poor disabled man away

  • Ash Mc

I love this place. The owners are some of the nicest people in the area, service is exceptional, pricing and food quality amazing. I get severely disgusted by keyboard warriors who jump on the bandwagon of a misconstrued comment to drive

  • Julie Bowdery

Sad to hear of an incident involving refusal by the staff to serve a disabled customer based on the apparent mess he makes whilst eating food he has purchased from here. Words cannot fully express the disappointment of this occurring in

  • Ben Seven

I cannot fault this place. Very reasonable price considering how expensive everything else is these days. Large breakfast only $11 large/ small $8 (see photo), even comes with a glass of juice. Owners are very sweet old Asians, always

Shame shame shame!! Had lunch there once, nothing to write home about! Typical greasy rubbish! However will never go back again! Refusing service to a disabled person! Businesses such as this should be closed down! What era are you

  • Nat Maynard

Haven't been here before and will never go as this business will knock back a customer cause he has a disability and makes a bit of a mess. Well guess what messes do happen even the workers can make a mess. Gonna fire them?

  • Larry Sieler

I suggest that in the future if anyone wants to patronize this establishment for what ever reason, that they eat in and leave a disgusting mess, say sorry, can't control myself anymore. Please forgive me for being a human

  • Karl Valenta

After the son of the owners posted his explanation of the unfortunate incident re disabled customer, it drove home the fact that there are two sides to every story. I would eat here. Kangaroo courts are not attractive.

  • Gavin Maxson

They refuse to serve disabled people here because they make a mess. The owners are clearly disgusting and hateful human beings. Food is also terrible. I'll stick with grace fish and chips better views and nicer people

  • Ellen Jackson

Best milkshakes in Wynnum!! Seeing all these negative reviews from people who haven’t even been to the cafe is quite sad. The cafe has been there for years and always been a good place for locals to get a cheap meal.

  • Teighan Molloy

Discusting people. Absolutely appalled at the takeaway shop, Refusing service to disabled people for no good reason! They need to be held liable for discrimination. Human filth rolled up into takeaway owner's.

  • Tim Tolhoek

I was in this place when i witnessed the Cruel treatment of a disabled person, they kicked him out for simply dropping some food off his plate. Absolutely Feral people running this place !. SHAME SHAME SHAME !

Refusal of service for a disabled person purely because they make a bit of a mess is absolutely disgusting, never visited this takeaway shop and never plan on visiting after this awful act of discrimination

  • Sharlene Morris

Disgusting customer service discriminating against customers with disabilities making a little mess while eating so refused them service. Are you going to turn me away too if my babies drop some food?

  • Aloise Heike

I am sickened that a disabled man was refused service here because he the owners did not want to clean up after him. I have seen this cafe, which used to be busy clean and friendly with previous

  • Stefania M-C (Stefi)

Absolutely appalling! This is a place that is known for refusing to serve disabled people because they make a mess with their food, and they have the audacity to say so out loud! Shame on you!!!

  • Tigers4 Richmond

I recommend you take a good look at the anti discrimination laws! Refusing to serve a gentleman with disabilities is AGAINST THESE LAWS!! shame on you and I hope you get a letter from his lawyer

  • Becci Rickwood

Never have I been there and will never go there. To turn away a disabled person is just absolutely unacceptable. If you read this and you are the owners I hope you feel ashamed of yourselves.

  • Robert Kyle

Haven't been here. But the owner's son says it's good and I believe him because he has an authentic Australian accent. You should definitely have a crack at it. -Kyle from Virginia, USA.

  • Belinda Jane

Food was terrible so we won't be back anyway. Refusing service to the disabled though only ensures that we don't make that mistake again in future. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

  • steve chapple

only gave them 1 star because you cant give no stars- Turned a disabled guy away because he made a little mess while eating- utter mongrels ! They do not deserve to be in business.

  • Melanie Spall

Refusing to serve a disabled person because they make a mess. Instead of offering better service you choose to discriminate. Incomprehensible why this would still happen in 2019.

  • caidan mclellan

BOYCOTT THIS PLACE. The couple behind the counter yesterday that apparently manage the place are a 2 disrespectful heartless half wits who barley know how to run a business and

  • Ali Stewart

No one with any shred of decency would purchase from this establishment. To deny a meal to a disabled customer because they are “messy” when they eat, is absolutely pathetic.

  • Adam Ross

Might have good food but running a business is not right to turn away a locally customer that is disabled for making a little mess all the best if that how you treat people

  • Luke Sturdy

Refused service to a man suffering from MS on the basis that he is a messy eater. Discriminatory business that refuses to serve disabled customers can get out of wynnum.

  • Keirran Adams

Have refused a disabled person a meal due to the fact he may make a mess while eating then proceeded to threaten and intimidate the said persons carer when approached .

  • Eleanor

The owners of this establishment are lovely folks, it is a shame for people to jump on the bandwagon when they have only heard the side of the story they want to hear.

  • Dorit Bloom

When you turn away customers because they are disabled, that says it all about the respect they have for those that purchase from them to keep their business going.

  • T05 !

If I could I would give them 0 stars. Absolutely disgusted that this business refused service to a disabled man because he left a little mess when he ate his food.

  • sheldon pearson

I'm sure there could be some possitives if you REALLY looked . Overall a very unwelcoming atmosphere, poor customer service and the food is nothing to rave about.

  • Nancy Connor

Disgusting behaviour towards a man with a disability. Shame on you, I will never set foot in your door again, not that your food is anything to write home about.

  • Chrisanne Crawford

  • Rod L

Best milkshakes in Brisbane, and at the best price. They also have a well-priced, fantastic Big Breakfast. CASH ONLY (An ATM is across the road).

  • Melanie Croke

If you have a disability stay clear. If you are a messy eater find somewhere else. These people don't like messy eaters or those with a disability

  • Paul T

A fantastic old style cafe. Really friendly ownets, all the locals know. Amazing huge $9.90 big breakfast with a glass of orange juice included.

  • Annon

I would encourage them to promote themselves as a more family friendly place. Respect and kindness is free. And my money is well spent elsewhere

  • Sue Dickson

Yesterday they refused to serve a disabled man who has MS. Why? Because apparently he makes a mess when he eats. Disgusting venue and people
