I have came with my cat to this hpspital, came as 2nd. They took my cat and asked me to wait, i have been waiting there more than 2h. In the mean time they Took another animals with their owners in, and I was still waiting not knowing where my car is and what is happening with him. After 1h the receptionist asked me why none xalled me yet, she was sypprised as many people xame in and went out already while I was still waiting. I have been walking atound worring that iy must me something bad as they are keeping me tgat long to wait. After another 1.5h when the hospital was empty, she saw me again and was more supprised I am still siting there and waiting. She went to see whats is happening and never came back as she knew what was going on. Then 15 mins later the "doctor" came and finally asked me to come in. And now it starts ... She said there is nothing wrong with the xan rhat axctually the ca seems yo be very very healthy but she face him a painkillers. I was so supprisd, as I have been waiting 2.5h to hear that the cat is very healthy but still they gave him a painkillers? After 2.5h and protending she chacked him properly she asked me gor my statement ! Asking what is acctually wrong with the cat... so I said he fell from the window from about 4m and probably had a fight with another cat. I said his back claws are scratched till blood- she was suprissed, I said he has a swollen back and a big bumb/tumkr at his back, she said oh, I did not noticed, then I said the cat eye is festering, and heard again oh I did not noticed.... I said the cat did not eat and drink nither used the litter box ... she said that she only is chwcking if he is fit yo ho to another hospital ! That she is only one doctor as the rest did not come and there have been a lot of people with their animask comming in and again that she is the only one doctor and too much work !!!!!! So my cat was 2.5h in a little box sitting somwhere there without a person he knows with a really bad condition! I did ask on the beggining if I should go somwhere else they asked me to wait ! I thought they are taking care of him but all they did was just stressing my xat me and wasting time and now they want 350 for a not Worth nothing service! They gave him painkillers without not knowing whhat is wrong with him ! I went yo another hospital later on and they gave him antibiotic and checked him properly within 30 mins ! I do not recomend that place at all ! Please avoid.

This is the local veterinary clinic. We are so fortunate that Dr Mukherjee is our vet. Previously we have been attended to by Tony White and he is also amazing. The receptionists are passionate about caring for pets. They go the extra mile -all of them without exception are excellent! Carol, Anna, Valerie and others; apologies I’m dreadful in remembering names. The clinic has a car park, albeit a small, busy one and there is convenient parking on the road. There is a lovely public park Ravenscroft - where one can take their pet after consultation to relax, nearby if needed. The recovery room after surgery is air conditioned, clean and has a professional yet relaxed air about it. I have seen the food prepared fresh on site for recovering animals The vet Raj is rather knowledgeable, kind, caring, thoughtful and pleasant. He has superb communication skills. Tony is funny, clever, reassuring and also has excellent communication skills. I believe Wood street inspires confidence and that too when people are feeling helpless and vulnerable with their sick animals! I have previously been to Medivet’s but found them variable and inconsistent in service. I would recommend Wood street vets to everyone. It’s a five star place Thank you 11.2.23 Fantastic vet practice; I can’t recommend it enough. It looks well staffed, efficient and very professional. Dr Rajat Mukherjee is absolutely fantastic

I came to Woodstreet April this year with my seriously ill furry baby. Since then the medical attentions she received were second to none till she crossed the rainbow bridge 6 months later. The reason for writing this review is to thank the team of Vets who have been looking after her and the lovely team of staff at the reception. I especially would like to express my gratitude to the following staff members: 1) Helen – who always offeredto drop off the medication to me on her way home. After my furry baby’s passing she dropped by to pick up the donated medication after a late night work. She chatted with me for at least 15 minutes and gave me valuable advice of how to cope with grief. 2) Valerie – who calmly reassured me that everything would be fine when my furry baby was referred to RVC. No matter how busy she was, she always make a big fuss of my furry baby each time she came in. 3) Anna – the first time I visited Woodstreet after a traumatic experience at RVC, the phones at the reception were off the hook. However when Anna had a few seconds free, she got up and came up to me to ask me how was I coping. In a world where you can be anything… be kind ❤️

I cannot thank Wood Street Veterinary Hospital enough for what they have done for my lovely boy. Right from diagnosis to (exceptional) treatment through to aftercare they have been efficient, professional and most importantly compassionate. My dog came to Wood Street after what I originally suspected to be a graze quickly deteriorated in a matter of days and I knew he was poorly! From the moment we visited Wood Street I knew we were in good hands. Quality service from accommodating reception staff to attentive and sympathetic nurses as well as Vets whom provide a full consultation with you in a welcoming and professional manner. Most importantly, my dog is on the mend now after being diagnosed with a rare skin condition; thanks to quick diagnosis, exceptionally trained staff and lots of TLC! Wood Street continue to keep me up-to-date with appointment reminders and the staff are always pleased to see my dog (the feeling is mutual!). During a challenging time, Wood Street have really put the situation at ease and I have felt well-assured throughout. I would definitely recommend this Veterinary Hospital...10/10 and more!!

DELAYED VETCARE for days... i had an appointment booked in for my rats to be seen. when i arrived i found out that there was confusion about the time of the appointment which resulted in my animals not being seen and rescheduling the appointment to the next day. the receptionist also checked if the vet is experienced with rats. now i am sitting here. the appointment hasnt been booked in and the vet has nevet consulted a rat ever before.... this is horrendous. my animals are in pain and very ill. esp small animals like rats go down hill quickly.... i am speechless.... i had to tell the vet what meds and dose my rats need for their URI and he failed to even notice the LOUD breathing... **** later update: the vet i saw failed to see the significance in cookies little bump which turned out to be an abcess in a spot thats not removeable, if tje vet had actually paid attention (i asked him several times to look at it!!) cookie woild have started treatmrnt on time and would have made it. today he had to get euthanised. i am shocked...

Unfortunately I felt let down by Wood Street Vet hospital. My husband brought our cat in as an emergency as he was badly limping and acting very out of character (I was in hospital myself). The assessment was that they couldn't find anything wrong with him. A few days later when he wasn't getting any better we took him to our regular vet who discovered he had a temperature and wanted to take a x ray to check if he had broken a bone in his leg. They also discovered he had a broken tooth so decided to operate while he was sedated for the x ray. Thankfully nothing was broken in his leg but they discovered he had been bitten on his leg and an infection had developed hence the high temperature. Our vet received no history from Wood Street - at the very basic level they should have taken his temperature and recorded why he went in. Won't be taking our cats here again for any reason. I've never felt compelled to write a bad review before but if they had done a proper assessment we might have avoided two weeks of recovery time.

Went to this practice to have my dog checked out and ended up having a scan and got charged over £450.00 And when I just what was wrong with my dog at the practice they couldn’t tell me what was wrong and that the vet would phone me, when he eventually phoned me the only thing he could tell me is he spoke to my wife and I should talk to her , all because I started to ask questions and he didn’t have the time of day for me , this practice is a joke and the members of staff are very rude and out of order. You respond with that I was charged appropriately to what was Carried out, I didn’t say it wasn’t what I am saying and you’re missing the point is I paid for a service and expect to be spoken to with a bit of respect and for you to have time to talk to me , I never demanded for you to speak to me in a busy period all I asked is to make time to explain and point us in the right direction as a professional not try to fob me off and say to me to talk to my wife because you already said what you had to say , how dare you.

We brought our little dog here for essential dental work. We were advised that the dental work (removing an abscess) would be done by a specialist. Within three hours of leaving our precious girl at this vets, she was dead. I do not feel that she received the care & attention that she deserved. This was such a devastating shock for us, & I feel it was handled in a matter-of-fact way. I also feel that we should have been advised to treat our dog with medication, rather than an operation. The operation was due to cost in the region of £1800, which we were well prepared to pay. On the day of her death, before we left with her tiny body wrapped in a towel, we were asked for a payment of around £200. Thinking about it, I’m disappointed that they did this. I do believe this vets is all about the money. We paid & we left. I would never go back. They never even sent us a written apology or explanation as to what went wrong. We had to write & try & find out. Totally devastating experience.

There is no better place for an animal to be cared for right through to the end. 4 years ago my dog Fricka had a major stroke. Having been advised that nursing her back to recovery would take 3-4 months of massage 3 times a day, the staff helped me get her back to health within 2 months by having her back for me overnight every time I had to be away, giving her all the massage she needed without anything more than overnight cost. Last Monday aged 17 she had a second stroke, and we sadly agreed she should be put to sleep. This was done with wonderfully gentle quietness with Fricka lying peacefully with her head in my lap; and now I have received a card of condolence from the veterinary staff and a note of encouragement to us for having managed to do the right thing by our beloved Fricka. This all to a family whose dogs are RSPCA mongrels, not given regular injections and not regular attenders. It is impossible to imagine better care and support for dogs and owners than this.

Have been bringing my two cats to Wood Street for well over 3 years now, after they were both diagnosed with CKD, and some other issues. Our local vet, Rosemary Avenue Surgery in Enfield, is also great, but the facilities at Wood Street have been vital for treating my two, and the fact they’re part of a group, so they all have the same information, whichever branch you’re at, is brilliant. All of the staff at Wood Street, be they receptionists, vet nurses, admin, finance, and actual vets have been amazing. Have had a few really traumatic and upsetting situations over the years, (not caused by them) but they’re always so supportive and have pulled me up and restored my hope when I was really struggling. They were all there for us all through the craziness of 2020-22, and I think I saw a quite a few of the staff members more often than my family, during that time. They always pull out all the stops and go that extra mile, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. ******

I registered my cat and 2 Labradors with Wood Street Veterinary Hospital 3 years ago when I moved to Barnet. This is surely the best practice I have been visiting since I have pets. One of my dogs has unfortunately been diagnosed with diabetes and I could not have found a better place for her to be looked after. Phil and his team have done an outstanding job in treating my dog. The vets genuinely care about the welfare of the animals and always have their best interest in mind. The nurses are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I know that they will take care of my dog when she stays at the hospital for the day. They are truly animal lovers (and provide great support to the owner as well). Going to the vet is not always fun, but in the case of Wood Street Veterinary Hospital I know that my pets will receive the best attention, and it starts with the lovely receptionists. I highly recommend this veterinary practice.

I take my boy Dobby to Holders Hill practice! After having a bad experience with our previous vet I was recommended to join. BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE!!! Ever since I got Dobby it was one problem after another but asoon as I took him too Holders Hill practice he was on the mend and I was at ease he was going to be looked after. I cant thank them enough for the help we have recieved over the last 6 months! They are always happy to reassure you or give you advice if your worried and put your mind at ease. All staff are beyond lovely and I felt so calm and happy to leave him with them (due to covid) they are SO friendly and they show they care! which makes the world of difference. They are reasonably priced, but to me money is nothing if they take care of your fur/furless babies as well as they do! then money is irrelevant. Couldn't honestly imagine joining another vets. Thank you all again! DOBBY & JODY

Hi. I recently got an animal health certificate from Wood street for my dog to travel to France. I trusted the practice to quote a fair price. (£300). After meeting travellers abroad the cost is WAY over inflated. Most I’ve met paid £150. Blue cross (and other sites) suggest the range should be £150-£280. Unfortunately, I expect London to be more expensive but £300 is not reasonable. The dog didn’t even get an examination for my £300. The rabies is also inflated at £100. The staff are all friendly and we’ve always had good service. However, the trust has gone and we will need to move to a new vets as I will always believe I’m being over charged. The practice have said the parent company ivcevidensia sets the pricing structure, they’ve not responded to my email. Use this practice with caution as you will be paying over inflated prices.

I am actually quite shocked at the complete lack of customer care and service that I have just experienced when calling this practice. The receptionists was actively discouraging me from registering my cat as I am looking to find a cardiology specialists after a cat I have just rescued has been diagnosed with a heart murmur but my current practice have referred me to a cardiologist that is very far from my house and very expensive. My advice would be to the practice that the woman I spoke to on reception needs to have training in customer service as she was not only very abrasive and dismissive but she actively turned away a potential customer, losing your company business. She point blank refused to try and find and option to have my cat seen and the whole conversation was quite shockingly dismissive.

Our experiences using the Wood Street & Cockfosters practices has always been positive. Both for our pet & ourselves. Our pet pooch Sanchez was an incredibly nervous and anxious chihuahua. He could be a challenge to get near and would become highly stressed. Raj built a relationship of trust with Sanch. As did Ozlem. This has been of paramount importance because he began to develop health needs that require monthly trips to the vets. We are extremely grateful to Raj, Ozlem, the nurses & reception team for all they have done and continue to do. I feel they have consistently continued to give Sanchez first class care. Thank you to everyone at the practice, especially Raj and his amazing professional skills and compassion. We highly recommend this practice & believe Sanch would “high paw” them too !

Our 21 year old cat received excellent care Report review Our 21 year old cat needed dentistry work and naturally we were concerned about the risks involved in anaesthesia. Simone Kirby who specialises in dentistry was brilliant from the initial consultation through to the procedure itself. We had quite a few concerns which she clarified for us and she kept us informed at intervals on the day of the procedure ensuring we felt settled about what was going on. We knew our little companion was in safe hands and a very big heartfelt thank you to Simone and all the staff at Wood Street Hospital. We would definitely use this practice again. Our lovely cat is now much livelier, eating and drinking extremely well and clearly in much less discomfort. Mr. & Mrs. Beckwith

My lovely cat was hit by a car in the middle of the night and would definitely not have had any chance of surviving if it wasn't for this surgery and the kind, caring and compassionate people that work there. One of their people( Oslan) got up at 5AM to try and save my cats life. She operated on him and then have kept the cat alive, against all odds, with love and care. They are truly remarkable people who genuinely care. The staff have been so kind and helpful keeping me updated every few hours throughout each day and night and also allowed me to visit at all times. They even put us on loud speaker on the telephone to keep the cats spirits up during the blood transfusion. They will go to any length to help and I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

  • Kez & Chris

This review has been long overdue. Attempting to find the right words for the amount of gratitude we have for the staff here is nay impossible. We want to pay particular thanks to Raj, for not only rushing down to the surgery at 4:30am on boxing day to come to our aid (just one example of many), but for the continued support, professionalism and the clear care and passion you have to help every little soul that comes through your doors. Nothing is too much and we have been through a roller coaster of emotions with our little family members throughout the years and I can honestly say, even in the hardest of times, Raj & all the staff working here have been nothing but genuine & compassionate in everything they do. Thank you all, we appreciate you!!!

  • coolcatcola1

This is a hard review to write because despite the amazing support we received from Wood Street we lost a member of our family who had been with us for 11 years. We only had 2 weeks from him being admitted to his passing and nothing can prepare you for that, however Wood Street were amazing and Dr Raj really went above and beyond, keeping us updated and trying to do all that was possible to help us. The support we received from Wood Street especially during this difficult period of corona was nothing but incredible and they did everything they could to try to help and support us. We really felt like they cared and our pup wasn’t just a number. Thank you Wood Street and Dr Raj for making this horrible event just that little bit easier.

I worked here for 9 years and even though I’ve now left I will still always return with my pets even though we don’t live that close anymore. Knowing what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ they’re the only people I will trust to look after my pets. One of my cats has to have repeated anaesthetics for a condition he has - he receives the absolute best of care from every staff member. Everything they do is gold standard so even though it’s a worrying time leaving my cat for treatment I know he’s in the absolute best of hands with veterinary and nursing care. Everyone here has pet and owners best interests at heart, they have the most up to date equipment and clinical standards and all love the job they do.

  • Funda Br

Secretaries and doctors are not doing their jobs properly. Unfortunately, I had to work with them a few times. Twice they gave me wrong paperwork for the travel certificate by fly and I lost my money because I couldn't cancel my flight ticket. I couldn't travel. Had to wait one more month for the new certificate.. The secretaries do not listen to you, they are very rude. I couldn't get an answer to any of the questions I was looking for a solution to. It cost thousands of pounds to stay one more months in Uk and she's asking me for money for the paperwork I finally got. Why did I pay for the wrong documents before? I will report these people. A dog's life is worthless to them. Shame..

  • Cassie Barnard

They are good vets and my guinea pig was treated well whilst in their care. However I experienced poor communication afterwards and had to phone for lab results despite them promising to ring me, and they still hadn't checked the results. They phoned shortly after and we discussed treatment. The vet Rafael is knowledgeable and discussed all options with me which was great. But then was let down again with poor communication, as well as being charged for medication that I hadn't been given. Can't help but feel that small animals aren't a priority to them. In the future I will stick with Rosemary Avenue who have always been amazing and treat all my pets equally and avoid Wood Street

  • Audrey Stewart

My own cats have come to this group of vet's for some time now, and even during the height of the pandemic, my cats have only received top level kind treatment. Furthermore, on Saturday when I brought in a stray cat, that appears to have come into our garden to die. They were supportive to me, and treated the old cat with kindness and dignity. It was a great help that they took him in, and helped to arrange that the RSPCA, come and collect him from there. It was a difficult thing for us, even though he wasn't my own cat, but then the nurse can out to return my things and told he that they had put him on oxygen, as he was struggling. Thank you

I have been a customer of Wood Street for over 20 years. I have 3 beautiful Golden Retrievers and regardless of whether an annual check up or medical procedure i would never consider going anywhere else. From the receptionists, admin staff, nurses and Vets the quality of service, expert advice and emergency availability is exceptional. The way they managed to provide a seamless service during lock-down was brilliant. I have not previously given a review, which is long overdue and for which i apologise. So from all the boys, plus Jacqui and myself, a big thank you to an outstanding bunch of professionals. Graham T ( Radlett)

I would just like to say how brilliant Wood St Bets have been. My usual vets was unable to help me when my dog became ill. Luckily I called Wood St and they found me an appointment at Cockfosters Vets. It became apparent that my dog was really quite poorly . She ended up being admitted to Wood St for 2 nights whikst they worked on her. Thank God she is now responding to medication. The care and compassion all the staff at both sites have shown has been second to non. They have been marvellous. I cannot thank them enough for how they have looked after my precious dog. Now transferring my vet care to Wood St!

  • Lee Staunton

Delighted with the excellent service the practice provided when our dog became unwell on Christmas Eve. We were kept fully updated on her progress and the veterinary and nursing staff worked through Christmas Day to diagnose the problem. When we collected our dog on Christmas Day evening the vet took the time to give us a full explanation of her findings and instructions for further care. Our dog is now almost completely recovered. We are most grateful for the care and dedication of the Staff at Wood Street Veterinary hospital and would not hesitate to recommend Wood Street Veterinary hospital to others.

  • Clayton Whitcomb

Very dissatisfied with Wood St/Vets Now. Took my beautiful German Shepherd for emergency treatment end of May 2023. There were problems with handover of information from one vet to another and across day shift to night shift. I sent complaints to Vets Now who have responded confirming a breakdown in providing clinical information and an offer a payment gesture. Wood St have still not responded to my complaint nearly a month later. Please be aware of this lack of training and basic flow of record handling, this is not good for a clinic/hospital stating RCVS standards. Sadly my dog passed away.

  • Katie Halling

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and all round experience that has been consistently provided by the whole team at Wood Street. Having had many experiences with other practices to compare with, I can say this is the first time we have genuinely felt our pet is not only in extremely and reassuringly expert hands but also, and equally importantly, true care full of empathy and consideration for us and our pet at all times. We came to Wood Street on the strong recommendation of others and I can only do the same now based on the quality of service and care consistently experienced.

  • Di Cridland

We have had animals registered at Wood Street for the last 25 years. Everyone - from the reception staff to the veterinary nurses to the vets are wonderful. Not only do they take exceptional care of animals but also of their owners! All staff are fully aware how much their animal means to the owner and all are dedicated in their work. Everyone goes out of their way and all do a wonderful job. We have had two cats who actually "wagged" their tales when they realised where they were! A very big "thank you" to all at Wood Street Veterinary Hospital.

  • Megan B

Called after coming home to a severely injured baby bird my cat had caught, clearly needed to be put to sleep as he had a snapped leg and was bleeding, this vet is 2 min from my house. The receptionist declined saying “ we don’t take birds or wildlife because of avian flu. I know plenty of other vets and they have no issue taking birds that are injured. So i had to travel for miles with a dying animal in distress. They do not care, very very sad to see this kind of lack of compassion when you are meant to care for all things great and small.

  • Eros Lordjies

This vet used to be great. I’ve had 4 dogs in and out of this vet over the years they used to be extremely accommodating and always around to help. Over the past year it has really gone downhill. Everytime i call there are never appointments and force you to pay for emergency charges so they can see your pet. There more concerned about bringing in money with pointless tests then actually treating the animals. Been a customer here for over 20 years and have now had enough will be taking my dogs to another local vet now.

  • No Hi

The staff are kind enough but the vets like to push unnecessary treatments. Their prices are extortionate, before you agree compare their prices. For example they charge at least three times more for medication than it costs on the human market. They make smaller margins through the insurance companies, which also motivates them to push as many treatments as possible. Be careful with them if you have your pets wellbeing at heart. This is a money making operation with hardly any morals.

  • Maricou

Fantastic! caring staff both medical and admin. my beloved boy was very poorly, developed a life threatening infection. had to stay at the practice in quarantine, on drips, tubes, etc for 6 days. the staff did EVERYTHING they could for him, the night staff worried about him so much that they sat with him and comforted him and today our marvellous consultant, Rafaela has signed my Alfie off as he is back to his toy chasing, tail wagging self! Can't recommend you enough!!

  • Greta Read

Took up an injured dove today to the vets and was told they don’t treat them !!! Had no idea where I could take it ! What a joke ! A vet that doesn’t treat injured animals ! I called Fernside bet in Borehamwood who told me to come down and I’ve just dropped the dove off and they took my details to keep me informed A Real Vet! Wood Street vets would never recommend them EVER . Go to Fernside in borehamwood , more professional and they treat injured animals ! Who knew !

  • Mira A.

Amazing service from Dr Rajat Mukherjee. I couldn’t thank him enough for his service and compassion and his commitment with my Pomeranian. He showed so much care and he kept me updated the whole way through as I was so worried. God bless the surgery they are an amazing team they really do care ! The after care was really good and coco came out so happy from his dental surgery. Thankyou very much for the service I got 5 stars the Dr is amazing as well as the nurses.

Wood Street Veterinary Hospital have supported my pets health issues for over 20 years and have continuosly provided a superior service in their consultations, up to date surgical proceedures and incredible aftercare. Tony White is an outstanding vet ,his enthusiasm and passion for animals is reflected throughout the hospital with kind, compassionate, friendly nurses and receptionists. I would never go to another veterinary practice....I'm sticking right here!!

  • Rich T

We've had a ton of problems with our new kitten, and the staff at Wood Street have been an absolute godsend. Everybody there is very helpful and caring, and thankfully tolerant of over-protective new fur-parents! Not only have they sorted the problems with the kitten, they've also been extremely supportive and helpful throughout the process, I'd recommend anyone that wants to take good care of their pet to seriously consider Wood Street as a top tier option.

  • Melisa Selvaratnam

We have visited Wood Street Veterinary Hospital a few times over the last month for our puppy Alfie. The receptionists, nurses and vets have been incredible. From the moment we stepped through the door, they made Alfie and us so welcome and comfortable! They are timely, professional, and so loving towards the animals. You really do feel and can see that your pet is receiving the best possible care. Thank you so much for looking after him so well.

  • Rochelle Sumeray

The hospital is absolutely wonderful. It has a small garden area as you enter which is so nice when your dog needs to go. They have all the top equipment and drug protocols. The surgeon, anaesthetist, the nurses and the receptionists are so attentive. They all kept me so well informed and called me regularly. Parking is great too. Can’t fault this place. So professional and top standard. Thank you all. ChiChi is doing well thanks to you all.

  • Camilla Collins

Both Woodstreet and Holders Hill have been great with my cocker spaniel pup, Arthur. We made the move from Medivet in Hendon and I love the quick and easy online booking option for routine appts and they have been absolutely wonderful with a couple of out of hours emergency appointments we’ve unfortunately had to get at wood street. Phil and his team are brilliant and I highly recommend them. Thanks for looking after Arthur so well! :)

  • Murat ERSAHIN

They are amazing!!! My cat hit by a car 3 weeks ago. I went to nearest Vet, they did nothing till morning because they want to be sure about his insurance cover to traffic accident. Friends of mine recommend Wood Street Vet and took my little one come to Wood Street Vet, They save my cat. They start treatment immediately and they did what he need it. He back to home now, he is good Thank you so much everyone. We are grateful to you.

  • Lindy Napthine

Got a same day appointment easily. Saw lovely receptionists including Helen (who also walks my dog and has pointed out a couple of things in the past that I might not have noticed in my dog!) Saw the vet Sandrine who was professional, personable and patient. Thanks to to Guy and Anna who took the trouble to find the answers to questions. My dog is napping now after pain relief so there are 2 satisfied customers in him and me.

  • Elsie Weeden

After using Rosemary Ave vet for years we recently had to take our cat to Wood Street vet hospital for an emergency appointment and felt that the vet we saw was more concerned with making money than anything else. We felt pressured and judged when we explained we couldn’t afford a large vet bill and tried to discuss all treatment options. Others have had good experiences so perhaps we just caught them on a bad day!

  • Nicola.e

It was my 1st visit here as my regular vet was closed for the weekend and my cat was poorly. From the minute they answered my call to us arriving and seeing the vet , everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The Vet was very thorough and honest. My cat Olive is now feeling much better. Will definitely be bringing Olive back in the future! Thanks to everyone at wood street , keep doing what you’re doing ❤️

  • cassie t

I brought my rabbit in to see the vet the other day and I was absolutely appalled by the lack of care and compassion from the entire staff more so the reception team. Due to the lack of care from the team my rabbit unfortunately passed away. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, I WILL BE VISITING MEDIVET NEXT TIME. I have also been hung up on and told to visit another practice numerous times, THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!!

I find this vets to be the best in the area . My dachshund Hugo is now 15 and he has been looked after since he was a puppy by wood street . I can honestly say that I always feel confident in their diagnosis and I know that Hugo is always well looked after . Even if Hugo has needed to be seen by a specialist and referred I’ve had total confidence in who I’ve been sent to see! I would highly recommend

Unfortunately I had to have my cat Max put to sleep last night. The reception team were very empathetic and the vet was also. My son who was working wanted to say goodbye but could not make it there until after 9pm. The vet arranged with the night team to have Max available for my son to say his goodbyes which I found very endearing. I just wanted to say a big thank you for arranging the late visit.

This was our first time at Wood Street with our young French Bulldog. She was anxious when we arrived, but the kind and friendly welcome helped to ease her in. We were given time, patience and listened to during her consultation. All treatment options were explained clearly and honestly. We left feeling confident about the care she received. Very impressed with the professional and friendly service.

  • Lauren Richards

Brilliant vets that were hands on when my dog suffered respiratory arrest from inhaling grass seed. Even took my Pomeranian Nico to the RVC when the vets shift was over. I cannot be so thankful and just amazing service with vets that truly cared about my dog when they rushed Nico to the RVC. Thanks to their good knowledge and amazing service my Nico is alive today and very happy to be with his mama.

I have been registered at this practice for a while now and all I can say is it that over the past year they have gone above and beyond! All staff are friendly and knowledgeable. In these difficult times it is so reassuring that they are prioritising appointments, there are only so many hours in a day! I would not take my fur babies anywhere else! Thank you Wood Street for all of your hard work!

  • Barbara Mardell

I have recently registered at this vets and have found it excellent. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The vets and nurses are very thorough and are happy to answer any questions that you might have. They also have a Pet Health Club which is well worth joining. For a reasonable monthly fee it covers vaccinations, health checks plus discounts on food and various procedures.

  • Devon Pearce

Visited with my bulldog puppy, on the recommendation of multiple bulldog groups. I was so impressed - so friendly and professional and got great advice. Really felt that my dog was looked at as my pet and family member rather than ‘just a dog’ and everything was explained clearly. Very supportive with a clear a love for all animals and breeds, unlike lots of the chained vets!

  • Tere Tere

Used to be good but they have been using the "covid" excuse now, way too many times. Why cancel an appointment at 5.10pm for the morning after? You even send an SMS to confirm and I've taken time off work! Not acceptable as EVERYBODY is busy, EVERYBODY has commitments and EVERYBODY is in this global pandemic! PS: not the first time they cancel last minute - booo

  • Chris Ward

All the staff we wonderful and kind especially Ozlem who was so kind. We took our neighbours cat in on an emergency as he had breathing difficulties but sadly due to various reasons the Owner rightly so decided to euthanise the cat. This was done respectfully and with care and we were not rushed to say good bye to our lovely furry neighbour. Thank you all.

  • Creative Colours

Called to book an appointment , and I was asked to pre pay for the treatment over the phone in order to book the appointment!? Very disappointing practice as I never been asked to pre pay before at any vet practice in London. Also the website states different prices for what I was asked to pay over the phone. Very dissatisfied and I wont be going to them.

I have attended Wood Street Veterinary Hospital and Oakwood Surgery for many years, most recently with my cocker spaniel Bluebell. We have ALWAYS received excellent care by Raj at Wood Street and Emma Clark at Oakwood as well as kindness from the various nurses and reception staff. Would recommend this caring professional practice to everyone. Thank you.

  • Jon Salinger

My first experience with the Wood Street Veterinary Hospital was for all the wrong reasons but the Staff were extremely understanding and helpful. They did the best for Heidi and I appreciated all of the work that they offered to do for her. I now have another dog now, Tara, and would be very happy to take her to the hospital if I was required to do so

  • Sharleen Mclaughlin

I honestly cannot fault anything here. The staff were amazing, caring and passionate, including the receptionist who went above and beyond for me and my family. So I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, who cared for my little yorkshire terrier Mitzi, after her surgery at Hendon this morning, Mitzi is now home recovering. Thank you once again.

  • Tracey Kieve

My family and I are so grateful for taking care of our dog Ace after he was attacked by another dog. Two operations later and so much care and attention from the team at Wood Street and regular visits if we were unsure about how he was healing I am pleased to say that he is well on his way to a full recovery. The vets and team are simply amazing.

  • Beverley Terry

In my opinion Wood Street vets is the best practice in Hertfordshire. The treatment given to my golden retriever Ruby has been first class. From Tony (principal vet) to the nurses and receptionists you couldn’t wish for a better team of professionals. They are all so kind and it’s obvious they care so much about the animals and their owners.

  • Jordan Lewis

Highly recommended - fantastic vets. Every single member of staff goes out of their way to make a fuss of my dog to help make his visits enjoyable. Communication with clients is excellent. Staff on site 24hrs is so important to me in the event of an overnight stay. Absolutely no doubt - my dog's comfort and wellbeing is so important to them!

  • Dorienne Carmel

They are always on hand when we have had a problem or need advise. The service is very professional and friendly, at the reception and by the very skilled vetsI recommend them highly to anyone who wants to be sure their pet will be looked after with care and attention .Best Vets Ever 10stars +

Great team work, great all round .

  • Patricia Gold

I took my 9 week old kitten to Wood Street Vets in Barnet for her first appointment and vaccines. I am very pleased with the practice. The vet was kind, knowledgeable, and there was time for her to answer all my questions, so I felt my pet was really well taken care of. The reception team were also brilliant, very welcoming and friendly.

  • Denise Oneill

I have been bringing my pet chihuahua to this vet for quite sometime My chihuahua is not very friendly a bit of a diva, and gets very nervous at the vets But when raj deals with her he is amazing knows exactly how to handle her I’m really grateful for vets like raj as it’s really hard seeing your loved pet in pain. Thank you So much.

  • Lisa Woods

My cat Raven got hit by a car a week ago. He was in the hospital a week. They saved his life. I was able to visit. They rang me every day twice and the care was OUTSTANDING. I was not insured and they kept the price down as much as possible. He came home today. I can't THANK EVERYONE enough for EVERYTHING they have done x

  • Sim One

My elderly cat, Star, is also a service cat, who's saved my life countless times over the past decade due to my ill health. She has been given the best medical treatment by Raj. He's not only saving my Star's life, but also my own! I can't thank him and the other angels on the team enough... …

  • Janey Robert

Very good caring service. Prompt feedback on results. Best options offered. Great in an emergency. Saved the lives of my dogs more than once and provided excellent continuity of care. One of my dogs had very complex health issues and lived a happy life due to the care he received at Wood Street;

  • Rosalind Lee

My dog had an ovariectomy - key hole neutering for the price other vets charge for non-keyhole surgery. The only issues we have had is trying to keep the dog resting! She is full of beans and wanting to play. We have had no complications. I am very happy with everything. Thanks.

  • Saad Fahad

It was an amazing veterinary. The lady there was sooooo helpful with so much on her plate already she agreed to help us. Our casa was in such pain and she had relieved it. Would never recommend any other veterinary other than this one. Definitely the best Our casa was shining

  • Rebecca Toomey

They gave me the wrong amount of medication and are very overpriced. The vets also had completely different opinions on my dog. I would avoid cause they clearly prescribe medication / do procedures which are only for their financial gain and not in your pets best interest.

  • Alison M Rogers

Wood Street are an excellent veterinary practice and animal hospital they are kind and expert at their work in all respects. They were particularly knowledgeable about all the possible alternative options for my cats even referring on where necessary. You can trust them.

  • Olik

I took my cat Kiki for a procedure this morning. Both ladies who attended Kiki and me ( I was worried and nervous) - the lady at the reception and the vet lady who spoke to me, were simply ANGELS. Your kindness was invaluable and very much appreciated. Thank you.

  • James Price

An absolutely outstanding team of dedicated caring compassionate veterinary staff. So friendly and kind. I can think of no better outstanding people for our much-loved four-legged friends. If it was to give marks out of 100, I'd give 150. Thank you so much ❤❤❤

  • Kelly McSharry

I can not begin to Thank The Team involved for the amazing care they showed when my little dog Honey needed emergency surgery over the New Year bank holiday. She’s now back home with her tail wagging and a belly full of chicken. Thanks again Your all Brilliant

  • Bruna Sousa

Great service, from the receptionists that are always friendly and helpful, to the Vets that I’ve met when bringing Eunice to the clinic. You can tell their love, care and professionalism towards the pets. Vet Sandrine was specially amazing with Eunice.

  • Joanne Weight

Extremely caring and helpful, will always be honest with you about your pet. Reception is always happy to help and never rush you, very friendly and kind. If they cannot fit you in for an appointment they try their other branches, which are also great.

  • Ksenija Truhana

Thank you for saving life of our cat Bo. It was an emergency situation during Bank Holiday. The hospital team did everything quickly and of high quality, and our Bo is now with us. The staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. Thank you very much!

Our vet was highly professional, informative, caring and supportive, as were all the staff. I felt reassured they did the best for our pet and he was well looked after. I recommend this Vetinary Hospital with top marks. Great work and thank you.

  • Jules Weston

Exceptional warmth and care right from my first phone call. The receptionist had a lovely soft nature and the vet dealt with my dog's problem with patience and care. I left thinking 'these people definitely do this because they love the job'.

  • Rosalie

We always receive excellent service when we attend with our dog. Wood Street are very good at accommodating if in need of an appointment last minute which has been the case (unfortunately) on a couple of occasions. Highly recommend.

  • Jay B

Amazing personnel, always attentive. We found them to be the best priced and most professional in the area. Had 2 Netherland Dwarf rabbits neutered (Blue Steel and Magnum) without any issues and lots of advice. Highly recommended!

  • Sarahis aturtle

This veterinary surgery is purely a business and if you are prepared to accept that then you will find no problems with them. Receptionists tell you what they think they can get away with and customer service is very insincere.

  • Louise Napier

Lovely team I 100% trust to take care of my dog. They always treat him gently and explain the options clearly. There's no push to go for an expensive treatment- it's all about what's best for us and most importantly my dog.

  • Hayley Morley

We've been using Wood Street and sometimes their other practices for a number of years. They have always treated our dogs with the upmost care, whether it's the desk staff, the nurses or the vets themselves. Excellent

  • Sarah Wynn

I have been coming to this practice for 43 years - now on my third dog! They have been, and still are, consistently excellent in veterinary care, administrative help and have a very kind, friendly welcoming approach.

  • Fiona Brand

Tried and trusted vet practise, I'm always given all the information I need and recommendations for treatment. The staff are caring and compassionate and they give a 5* service. Would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful vetinary practice. Helpful over the phone consultations. Not only in it for the money. Kind and gentle vet & really friendly staff.

  • Natalie McFadden

Could not fault the treatment from the whole surgery for my doggy Mabel. From reception staff to vet Tony . First class , wouldn't go anywhere else.

  • Jana Watkins

Receptionists are warm and friendly and vets are terrific. I’ve been going to Wood Street for 20+ years with my pets and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

  • David Warren

Totally disregard for the health of our sick cat and then no admission of liability. No manager available when I visited the surgery in person.
