Would not recommend for engine diagnostic service. I visited this shop to get a diagnostic for a reoccurring P0420 code appearing on my dashboard. It took the business 2 days to tell me “your car is fine”, without communicating to me that they would be keeping my car for an extended period. 3 days later the code comes back and the business was very unresponsive to my calls. A week later, someone finally answers, telling me to come in Sat. morning, only for me to show up Sat morning and be told to come back Monday. I was finally able to get them to take second look at my car this week and they tried telling me I need to replace the entire catalytic converter — but the business was not able to provide a justification for this extensive repair, beyond what the ODB scanner read. To me this was unsatisfactory, as my own research informed me that this particular engine code can have a variety of causes and this business was not able to provide any support for their recommendation to replace the catalytic converter (as opposed to any of the other potential causes for the code). Anybody can hook a scanner to a car and read the code description, but I was hoping this establishment would use their mechanic expertise to determine the root cause and solution for the code— I was disappointed. $60 (and many hours of my time) later and I am not any closer to resolving the trouble with my vehicle. Parking situation is also not ideal! The spots outside the business fill up before it even opens and I was told by the owner to park in the uhaul lot across the street (only for the uhaul people to tell me that this is private property and the mechanic should not be telling people to park there). The price is tempting but I would have rather paid more for a job well done, than pay less to end up back where I started :/

all the "good" comments about this workshop are fake! C'ause in this place what they have done for many years is scam customers, they do bad jobs, they break parts, they ruin new parts that were recently purchased to end up blaming your car hahahah!! The neighbors who live in the area say that even if they were crazy they would not take their cars to this place, there is not a single resident of the area who has not been scammed. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CITY HALL HAVEN'T CLOSED THIS PLACE? because for a repair of a simple flat tire, they end up charging you $120.00 because the guy who was removing the nuts from the tire used a socket that was not the right size and deformed the nut and had to remove the screw to pieces and i was charged $120.00 for their mistake!! My friend went so far as to do a simple spark plug change, and they ended up changing the engine heads TWICE and even then they never managed to get the engine running at the end they told him that to recover some of the investment, he had better sell the rest of his car to a Junker. .. REAL CASE, just be very careful if you take a car to this place to be repaired, if they start dragging your feet... you better prepare because the worst is coming.

First impression, the guy who runs this shop came off to be pretty chill and laid back. I had a tire that needed repaired. He explained that he can do a temporary fix because the damage was on the sidewall. Said, "Don't worry, i'll do the patch for free." Feeling good about it, I felt the need to offer something, so I offered to pay for his lunch. He kindly declined and said no worries. At the end, thinking this guy was a cool dude, he pulls a fast one as I'm about to leave and said, "it'll be $20". I'm like really? He says,"I'm giving you the parts for free, but I'm charging you for service, and you said you were going to buy my lunch." I got hustled by this shady guy.

I recently moved to Los Angeles, and the day before Christmas, my battery indicator light illuminated, the charging system alert was displayed and my car began to overheat. I discovered Witmer Auto Service via Google and called for an appointment. They asked me if I could stop by today, I did, and they assessed the issues and fixed them within 3 hours. The car is running great. They were knowledgeable, professional, and the nicest people. Thank you, Fito for building a great service and his daughter Jen. had my car for SEVEN DAYS only to tell me that they didnt know what's wrong with my car and they couldnt help me. they had my car for FIVE DAYS before they even glanced at it. I'm convinced they didnt even look at my car because they just didnt want to help me after I started calling to check up on them to make sure my car was being serviced. unfortunate because I have brought my car here before and they were great. dont bother wasting your time at this shop unless it's a quick fix. they wont have time for you.

After being stressed that I didnt know a good mechanic, I asked a friend for a referral and I am soo glad they recommended Witmer Auto Service. They were very friendly and professional and told me exactly what services my car needed. I witnessed first hand the manager calling around to get the best price on the parts. They definitely are honest and that is hard to find now a days. My car was fixed the same day. Excellent service! I would definitely recommend this family business

The dad run a great business love his work been goin to him for 5 years plus he all-ways work deal with me now the daughter is a different story she’s rude I never seen her till 6 months ago she got a nasty attitude because I try to work a deal with her pops like I allways due and she refuse to service me because she say I try to get over on her dad not knowing I been doin this 5 years plus the dad says nothing just sit there let his daughter be rude to a loyal customer

Worst and most shady mechanic shop ever! I took my BMW and they said they knew how to fix it! It took them 5 days and the next day after I took my car, my car stopped in the middle of the road and I had to tow to BMW and now they are telling me what that shop did has messed up my car!!! And they gave me a super expensive estimate!!!! This shop doesn’t even want to take any responsibility and their receipt says 90 days warranty!! I’m taking them to the court.

I was visiting LA for spring break and my coolant system was having issues. Turns out a couple of my lines were broken. Thankfully the issue occurred near this repair shop. I drove it down and the owner gave amazing service. He actually found a second issue with my coolant system and gave me a great deal on repairing it and a 1 year warranty on the parts. Fair costs, great service, and same-day repair. What more could you ask for!

I had my car towed here (showing up at a mechanic with my car that wont start is my nightmare getting-ripped-off scenario.) But I browsed around beforehand and im sure i got the best price. Same day service, diagnostics/parts/labor, they did everything in a day! Old-school looking spot but very professional service. They may look busy but i called ahead and they made sure they had room for me. Yea the phone# works!

My car window got stuck open and I needed a quick solution. I found this shop via Google Maps, it was the closest to me and the best reviewed in the area so I decided to take a shot. I was met by Rene and he helped me solve my issue with such kindness and generosity. He did fast and reliable work with a 1yr warranty. He and his sister were great and I would definitely come back here again. Highly recommended!

Came in because car was no longer starting, I was told it was related to the fuel pump. After I came back to collect my car my back seat cushion was ripped from the foam holding it down, the screws were right beneath the chair but now my back seat is pulled up. Also they park your car on the street (something I wasn’t informed) and when I came I had a parking ticket. Hey at least the car started I guess…

Rolled up to the place around 945am, left at 10am. Valentino saw me and told him I had a nail in my right rear tire and immediately came out with a jack, got my wheel off, rolled it in, took care of it, and mounted it back on. So far everything good as new. Charged me 20 bucks and I think that's a steal. We'll see how TPMS and the balance all are, but looks great so far. Will update if any changes.

My husband's car had a low tire light and I was searching everywhere to put air into his tires nearby. I found them on google, and they put in the air for me. Gina was super friendly and helpful, showing me how to find the right tire pressure number for the car. She didn't even charge me anything! So lovely to find nice people in the most unlikely of places.

I can’t hear earlier today because my tire kept on flat they were very easy-going and quick to assist me. Lord behold a few hours later my tire was flat again so I had to replace two tires I would like to remind you this is at 6:20 PM so they were closing it. They still took me in and fix my tire I really appreciate them for that

I had a nail in tire and there was no air at all. The owner was really kind and helpful. She send one of her labor to pump the tire at my place. The service was very quick and efficient and I was out within 20 mins. Highly recommend them. Also they do accept card which was nice as I did not have cash handy.

I didn't know anything about them before. They just happened to be the closest shop that was still open when I needed one (it was after 5 o'clock.). And boy was I lucky. I'm so glad it was them. They were professional and very nice. They offered me great service and fair price. My experience was excellent!

Great family business run by a father/daughter team. They were helpful, friendly and attentive, and worked hard to actually diagnose my car's problem. Good prices and very honest and trustworthy! Stopped by when I noticed a flat on my van. The shop was full, but Gina was able to help us get someone to put a patch on the tire. We waited for only about 5 minutes and were out in less than 10 min. $20 for the patch, which for the convenience I was happy to pay.

Bad business. They are not concious. I saw one of the employees just throw the anti-freeze down on the street when it was drained from the car they were working on. I don’t support this behavior. They should not just dispose of it on the street.
