My son goes to William Perkin and have to say the school has very high standards. The only negative I think is the vast amount of homework given to the students every evening and weekends. Books, etc are carried to and from school every day in very heavy rucksacks (which cannot be good for the student's backs). There is a lot of pressure put on the children to complete the homework as failure to do so results in negative points and detentions. I think there needs to be more of a balance when it comes to the quantity of homework. This should be limited to week days so the students can take part in other social activities and family commitments at the weekend without the added pressure of having to complete large amounts of homework due in on the following Monday. I feel this is having a negative effect on my child's moral as he feels an immense pressure to get all homework done so he is not reprimanded for not completing it.

I am tremendously lucky and grateful to go to such a school , however I would like to say that they can be very strict at times. For example, today I and several other students received two behaviour points and a half an hour detention for having minor cracks in protractors and rulers etc. These items I believe, for most people, were fully functional. We were made to stand up in an exam hall in front of other students for this matter. I thought that this was unreasonable, noting that most of these items were fully funtional. However I love the school, most of the teachers are kind, lively and mostly positive. They have a great curriculum and push us to our best abilities. They teach us to be good people and to treat others and other things well. I am currently having a great time at William Perkin and certainly do recommend it! Just remember to bring equipment that looks reasonable!

Very bad school the rules are to strict and the teachers no that so if you talk about the rules outside of school without saying the schools name or location or uniform they exclude you. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!!! i do not have a problem with following rules but when they are taken too far such as walking in one direction and not talking to someone for 195 mins in the morning because you are not allowed to talk between lessons because they built the building on a cheap job thats when people have a problem with rules. im not gonna lie the education is great but a students happiness is as important as the education. one system cant work for hundreds of kids we are not robots we have different needs.

-First of all, there aint space for 5 year groups... we didnt even fit in the End Of Term Celebration. -Canteen way to small. -Food too expensive. Example; Paninis got smaller but more expensive. -You want the other school Ada Lovlace to join us but we dont even have enough classrooms especially when we gonna have a sixth form. - Rules are way too strict. -Too much homework -Negatives for every little thing. No pencil? Have fun in detention. -School looks like prison. Only good thing: -Good education

utter w@nkery place looks like a federal penetentiary teachers have no logic - tell us to be quiet in the corridors whilst shouting at the top of their lungs, makes sense doesnt it? also i saw some kids poking around in the building's electrical transformer because they threw their Frisbee into it, should probably tighten security round there. And I have noticed, with some perpendicular lines added to the schools logo out front, it turns into a Nazi Swastika, poor design choice IMO...

I go to this schl... I have NO CLUE how Ada lovelace is temporarily gonna be in our building so that means we might not have some classes. Will there be any space? Also I hate most teachers cause when they shout they sound like a man and also they tell u off for no reason. Today I got 2 negatives(30mins) for talking in the corridoor. It's ridiculous. Soz this is rlly long

I would recommend this cook if you don't mind being late by 10 se nods and getting a half an hour detention after school or getting 2 hrs worth of homework a day But other than that some of the teachers are nice and they REALLY push you to the limit and beyond

I'm not going to lie, the school has a great source of education and they discipline other students by being strict. But the school rules and some expectations are ridiculous!

im in Year 8 now and its an amazing school but they could make the canteen bigger. i would Recommend it to anyone because the teachers are the best.
