Extremely rude management. I was shopping at Whole Foods earlier today when I noticed some very misleading advertising. Long story short, in the eggs section there are advertisements basically saying the chickens are all "free range", "happy/healthy", etc. This is simply not true. Google "Sonoma Rescue Trial" and "Whole Foods" for a longer explanation, but the short version is the chicken farms where the eggs come from are unfortunately far, far from anything even close to being somewhat "humane". I calmly pointed this out to a store associate, who was friendly enough to ask if I wanted to chat with the manager about the subject. I said sure. The manager came over a few minutes later, and without even hearing what I was going to talk about, told me to leave the store and to "never come back". Don't worry, I won't be coming back. He then threatened to call the police on me. All this while trying to calmly explain why the advertising was misleading and giving him information so he could verify what I was talking about. He had zero interest, and started shouting and yelling at me to leave, which I did. I then spoke with a police officer who happened to be in the parking lot at the time. He 100% agreed with me and said I had done nothing wrong, which of course I hadn't. Anyway, I won't be returning here, and I recommend others don't as well. It was by far the worst interaction I've ever had at a grocery store my entire life. If I could give zero stars I would.
I will never shop at this location. I bought food from there and ate at the tables that they provided. ( I came here numerous times before and never had a problem) I bought a Pizza, drink, cookies and brownies after paying at the register. I walked over to the seating area and had my food and chilled out for awhile since I was teaching Ukulele/ Guitar at a school nearby and waited for the time to meet with my student (mind you I got a few phone calls and I had 4 students cancel on me that day and my last student for the night wasn't coming in till 530pm this was around 3pm being at the store). I grabbed my guitar and I put it on my back and grabbed the bag filled with cookies and brownies since I didn't care for them. No I was going to give it to the other teachers to snack on. As I was walking out the door a Sheriff came out of her vehicle and told me to follow her and an employee accused me for not paying for my item. So, I pulled out a receipt handed to the sheriff and they let me go. It would have been nice if the employee got a manager and just asked me if I had a receipt. Not get law enforcement involved. I work in retail as well, for over 20years and know the procedures. Law enforcement should be a last result.
They intentionally sell expired milk, so check the dates. Today, they put a quart of A2 milk with an expiation date of 12/20 on front if three other cartons that expired on 12/5, nearly two weeks ago. We got some of those same expired cartons last week that were sour when opened. Whole Foods has always been super sketchy about selling expired items on the shelves, but this looks like it was done on purpose. Now, a local competitor carries this dairy line, so Whole Foods will soon be in my rear view permanently. If must shop there: Be vigilant. Quick update: went to this same location today to return a package and the kiosks were down. I asked an attendant when they might be back up. She started to answer, but then answered her cell phone, turned around and walked away. On my way out I thought I’d check the dairy case to see if my Google review and call to customer service had changed anything, and sure enough the expired milk (two weeks!) was back on the shelf. I guess I should have taken the assurances of the customer service rep with some skepticism. Incredible. Be careful.
Whole foods is one of the best places to shop for organic produce, everything is fresh and top quality. They also have a lot of good options for frozen pizzas, the prosciutto jalapeno pizza is one of my favorites. I really like the organic rotisserie whole chicken as well, very tasty and not too pricey compared to other places. They have a good selection on supplements as well, it's where I get the om mushroom blend with ashwagandha. I recommend it for overall health and stress relief. They also have a good selection of goodies such as organic ice cream, non dairy ice cream, flax brownies, and the Rubicon cupcakes and cakes. I will say not all of their items are great, especially the bakery items, most are made elsewhere and have gmo and other so-so ingredients in them. Just make sure to double check the ingredients on items. Also, overall it's a bit expensive shopping here, but if you want good quality food and can afford it I highly recommend it
The store has Misleading Advertising in the store and the manager is a real jerk. The manager can not take honest criticism nor comments about misleading signs or deals. Let alone the Advertising. I will never go to this whole foods in sugar house every again. Look in to the matter. Correct the managers attitude and behavior towards people and issues containing to the store. Not every person or persons that go to your store has issues but the genuine people that speak up are helping with notice the issues or mistakes. I am not looking for any attention at all. Correct the managers attitude and behavior. Anger never solves any issue. If I was mad every thing I type would have been Capital. I have Moved out of state. That means I'll never return to your store. Fix what needs the most attention Manager start with.
I don't appreciate being made to feel like I am shoplifting just because I brought my own bag. I walk therefore I need something to put my belongings in, especially if I'm going to the store. This used to be the one store I knew I wouldn't have to worry about getting glared at and followed just because I was wearing a bag. Other than that, what more can you say about Whole Foods they're all essentially cookie cutter. The only difference between them is demographic, which dictates what products they carry. These photos are not of Whole foods, but the location right behind them that caught fire in Oct. 2022. This area is cordoned off at the moment and I provide this information so those of you going to the area are not caught off guard.
I just think their food is ridiculous and their prices are just completely outrageous outrageous I mean everything in that store says gluten-free stuff that doesn't even have gluten to begin with they're just trying to get people to buy it cuz it says that I mean come on that's actually happening in most of the grocery stores now it's ridiculous but I'm giving them a one because this particular store was not that clean and it's set up weird and their prices are just astronomical especially with the way the economy is right now for most people. I don't shop there I had to go in there to drop off a package so I thought I'd pick up a couple things, but no!
The Walmart of Healthy Foods. Whole foods is always great. Healthy food, non gmo certified, organic, 100% organic, whole foods, no hormons, no gluten etc... the store was very clean! Shiny! Made me feel clean, which is what I don't like about walmart... especially kmart... its like the 3rd world in there haha... Bathroom was messy tho... Bathroom should be the nicest room in any building... I hate going to public restrooms as it is, when it's dirty it's just.... gross... friendly and helpful staff...
Needed to make a return via the Amazon drop off kiosk, something I've never done myself before. One of the employees was very helpful, and walked me through the whole thing without dismissing me. He was patient and kind, and I appreciate that so much. Thank you for turning something confusing, into something easy. Another employee was also incredibly helpful when I asked where something was, and he even took me to the aisle so I could find it. Truly great customer care at this location :)
(Seems my review from a few days ago was deleted, so im reposting) Redo: Bought the rare roast beef to go with 2 sides the other night and the meat was worse than chewing shoe leather. Super tough and chewy. Yuck. Looked extra yummy in the display case, but when we got it home, it was inedible. Our experience with whole foods 'togo' food over years has been quite disappointing. Overpriced for what you get and terrible quality. (It 'looks' pretty good right???)
Just got our first delivery! Our produce looks perfect and the frozen foods were very frozen, the ice cream was in a little insulation packet! Just don’t believe the map they give you for delivery. It took the guy almost an hour to get from the blue splotch to our house via the unknown location on the left, all the time being ‘one stop away.’ But he still made it well within our delivery window. We are happy!
Why? Help me understand your desire to add a bunch of adjectives to a thing, thereby increasing its price. The amount of descriptive words on the package is directly commensurate to its price point. Why? I can buy a cucumber by the dozen for the amount that you charge for one. No thank you. I'll leave this place to its target demographic: those with more dollars than sense.
Something about this Whole Foods is so much better than the rest, the environment is clean and fun, everything is always stocked and It just feels homey. I work across the street and have been coming to the salad/hot bar EVERY SINGLE DAY for lunch… I love the healthy options and overall variety. Definitely give it a try!!!
We recently ordered a Chantilly cake for a friend on their anniversary. The staff there specially Lauren was super helpful in getting me through doing the order online. The cake was ready and on time. Its such a yummy cake with fresh fruit. They even wrote what I wanted on the cake. Recommend you get it for any occasion.
Went in the store to buy Capello’s pasta that they had advertised as having but couldn’t find it in their freezer section. Then I went to the register to check out and the cashier was very short, terse, and impatient with me while talking with the bagger about other things. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.
Not one of the better Whole Foods for selection and variety... but it works in a pinch. If you must have a variety and selection of more brands, with more desserts and fresh baked breads, then visit the Trolley Square Whole Foods. I'd consider this store to be a mini-who-foo. But good if it's this, or nothing.
It seems like Whole Foods are fairly interchangeable at this point, though I do appreciate the addition of the self-serve Amazon return dropoff system. Likewise, I like that the self-serve salad bar and hot meal bar are still available, and not unreasonably priced, even for a Whole Foods.
Beautiful store, huge selection, lots of good deals and a handy Amazon return machine. Plenty of gluten free, dairy free and allergen friendly options. Really nice produce section and friendly staff. I could have spent a lot more time and WAY more money in there if I had it.
Hands down - best Whole Foods in the area. The cheese selection was quite impressive too! I wasn't expecting to be impressed by a grocery store but everyone who I interacted with was so lovely! And their overall selection in-store was superb!
This Whole Foods location carries a lot of good stuff. Good selections of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat products, seafoods. They have an in-house butcher, bakery, freshly prepared vegetable salad and warm food section that you can purchase
Pretty much like every Whole Foods you've been too. However, traffic, no matter your mode of transportation, is a complete fuster-cluck right now until they finish the road work. You're best bet is to come on off hours or walk/bike there.
Staff were helpful with a return I needed to make for Amazon. I don't like having to do it myself now & hadn't done it before. I wandered around & bought a few groceries while here. I haven't been here in years...have been going to
TRUCKERS AVOID THIS PLACE OR ELSE YOU GONNA BE PAY VERY TIGHT PLACE EITHER YOU HIT BUILDING OUT PASTING FENCE IN FRONT CRAZIES PLACE I HAD EVER BEEN TO.. IN CASE YOU PICKED UP ALREADY I HAD ATTACHED THE PICTURE TO GET IN. BE SAFE
Most of you know While Foods, their products, pricing, and choices. This store is in Sugar house in SLC. It's a well run operation. Outside parking and the store is part of a larger strip mall with all kinds of choices.
Good place to take returns to send back to Amazon. The staff member at the return area was EXTREMELY helpful! Fun plus, can take in returns and then get some YUMMY food - especially from the deli area!
Decent selection of groceries. I needed some gluten free sauces and they had a couple options for soy sauce and hoisin sauce. The pea pasta was great too. Overall, seamless shopping experience.
I love whole foods. This one is clean, the staff is always pleasant however I do wish they had better skincare selection or just health and beauty overall but it is a smaller store than most.
It's a good place to shop and the 365 brand is value packed. **however this specific location has clearly outgrown itself and feels crammed. Needs to utilize shopping space more effectively.
I was looking for fresh produce, and Whole Foods had all the main options as well as figs and asian sweet potatoes. High quality and lots of options (black and green figs).
Good store. Has all the great things one would expect. Location is the issue. Sugarhouse has built sooo many 5-on-1 apartments that have getting around is
This is a small store... they do stock many things and the staff is very helpful, they just aren't very friendly, more business like.
Provide many fresh vegetables, meat, and frozen food. Importantly, there are many different kind of beers, including local brands.
So bummed their Amazon return Kiosks are all out of order :( first world problems. I’m fine. I love you WF. I forgive you.
Would have given 5 s, but the hot food bar and pizza station foods were past their prime during peak hrs. …
I like Whole Foods. Good quality and I was able to save some money by tying in my Amazon prime membership
Update 9/2023 Every time i so in the morning, there is NO option but to use the tiny SELF-CHECKOUT.
All the great food I love and a hot food buffet that is healthy as it gets thank you Whole Foods.
$7.29 for Whole Foods 2% milk that’s not even that good. I’m lactose intolerant.
