Arranging a funeral is daunting, and when you first start researching funeral directors - you are blown away by the costs. I was lucky to have some idea of what Dad wanted, and the moment I called Nik at Whitehaven, I knew I had made the right choice. Clear and transparent pricing - with no pressure upselling - consistent communication - a seamless process. Leading up to the actual funeral, I started to worry that since I had spent less than half of the big name funeral directors (Tobin Bros, Le Pines) quoted, that it might show. As soon as I got to the Church, any fears disappeared. The staff on the day where fantastic. I had upgraded the coffin and flowers slightly, and everything looked amazing. Even the hearse and care they took. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but arranging a funeral doesn't have to be if you choose the team at Whitehaven. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The passing of my father was a difficult time for us. Finding a caring funeral home was also adding to the difficultly. There were a number of places we contacted, but they did not seem to have the compassion and professionalism expected during this time. Nik and Georgia from Whitehaven were always so pleasant to deal with. Their compassion, professionalism and respect eased our concerns during initial discussions, and then whilst dealing with preparations for our father's funeral. The funeral was arranged with the utmost care and thought, down to the finest detail. I would definitely recommend Whitehaven Funerals to anyone who is looking at engaging their services. My mother passed away on 6 Aug 2022, 3 days after suffering a catastrophic stroke. I started to panic about the funeral arrangement. I searched for a Service and was overwhelmed by the choices that I started to become confused and disillusioned. I am so glad I found Whitehaven Funerals. I cannot thank Nik and the Team enough for their very professional service. EVERYTHING went to plan. There was not a single issue. I once employed Tobin Brother's after my stepfather passed away.
