Bought a Topeak HRM and Speed/cadence sensor from this store. Both units broke within 2 weeks so I took them back. The owner REFUSED to refund and instead offered to have them repaired under warranty despite my insistence they brand was of poor build quality and it would break again. The manufacture apparently claims one unit wasn't broken (speed/cadence) and fully replaced the other(HRM) which was apparently flattening battery at an alarming rate. New HRM broke again within 2 weeks and the speed/cadence senor still doesn't work despite trying it on multiple phones and apps. Because of the misanthropic behaviour of the owner I will not be returning them again and have instead sallowed the losses and bought wahoo units which work flawlessly. In my experience, the customer service here is subpar and if you have problems you are likely to have a fight on your hands rather than a helpful customer service agent. Be warned.

Great Local Bike Shop Even though my first bike was from a different shop, whenever I had to get parts or a service Marcus and Andrew have always delivered prompt and cost effective results. I upgraded to a new bike from their shop with excellent advice of type, fit and budget. When I had a big expensive 3peaks ride coming up and my bike broke Marcus and Andrew went out of their way to get it fixed and even lent me a wheel for free to get me through the day. Whilst Marcus and Andrew are running Avantiplus Croydon it will always be my Local Bicycle Shop...Big Thumbs UP!!

I have just returned from a ride on my Avanti Mtb after the guys at AvantiPlus Croydon had carried out major modifications at my request. What can I say - the bike performed perfectly. When I asked the guys to remove a worn derailleur system and replace it with a 11 speed internal hub system I think they where a bit puzzled that I wanted to go down that path. Undaunted they carried out the work in a professional manner, on time and at the quoted price. I have had nothing but great experiences with AvantiPus Croydon - they know their stuff.

I should have written a review for the guys at Wheels of Steel years ago! After excellent advice and support offered every time I wandered in with a question I asked Andrew & Marcus to build me a road bike. I was pretty sure what I wanted but had no idea how to do the work. The guys at the shop did a great job and I love my road bike which I have now had for about 2 years. No matter how big or small the request is, I have always received courteous service and the right advice.

Best bike shop ive been to. They know what their talking about, great prices and wicked customer service. We brought a bike from their and the owner was really helpful and not pushie even though we were holding him back from serving other customers, so i took my bike for a service, because of that now it rides like a dream. Great service from this store. Saw a part they had advertised online so I rang before going there to see if they had it in stock. They were out of stock but had it ordered and waiting for me within a few days. When I picked it up they expertly fitted it at a very reasonable cost too. Couldn't be happier with the service. I will be back!

A very friendly and helpful response. Phoned to inquire on replacement hangers for a Black Thunder 24.2. After checking if any were in stock they then suggested to bring bike in due to variations in hanger design given we purchased this from them a couple of years ago, and from there a replacement could be sourced. Good work.

Repeat online customer. I actually am a bike rider but use the red rear bike lights for my kelpie so i can see her on our rural property at night. Sale product suits my needs, delivery is swift and the product is more than ample for the requirement. Supporting a Vic. business as that's where ioriginate from. Good job!

A lot of people purchase items online these days. But nothing beats gold old fashioned advice and service. And this is where AvantiPlus Croydon excel. Customer service here is paramount and Andrew and his team do their upmost best to satisfy every customer's needs. And to top it off, they sell online and on eBay, too!

I was visiting Melbourne from South Australia and crashed on a rail trail on the Friday. Called into their shop asking if they could fix the gears up on my bike. Being a Saturday, I wasn't hopeful but these guys are legends! Fixed up my gears then and there while I waited. Fantastic Service.

In the last month I have visited Wheels of Steel twice. Once for bike maintenance and the second time for a product purchase. The staff are fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great product range and have won me as a regular customer. Highly recommend!

Didn't enjoy my experience. Didn't even take the bike back for the free tune up. I go out of my way to use a different Avanti store where they look after you properly.
