Not terrible but not great. I would constantly go home with all my teeth being sore despite telling the hygienists numerous times to go easy on my teeth. Anyone who has had braces and has had the wire tensioned will know the feeling. It makes it really tough to eat for the remainder of the day. I was also told I had serious gum recession over numerous visits and they eventually referred me to a specialist. I wasn't ever advised on how to delay the recession or anything to stop making it worse. The specialist echoed the same stuff the dentist said. However a second and third opinion assured me I didn't have serious gum recession and in-fact was quite on par for my age and wouldn't have to worry about it for many years. So I almost signed into a procedure without actually needing it. That didn't sit well with me and I haven't been back since.

I went to this dentist for the first time a month or so ago, because they were conveniently close to my new home. I booked an appointment to have x-rays done. (Over the phone, i was quoted $130 for the visit but I ended up getting billed close to $400.) The clinic apologized saying the girl who gave me the quote over the phone was new, and didn't have the right pricing. Upon examination of the x-rays I was told I have 8 cavities and it would be $1700 to have them all filled. This was a shock to me, as I'm well into my 30's and have never had a cavity in my life. I forwarded the x-rays to our trusted family dentist from my childhood neighborhood to get a second opinion. He said I have ONE maybe two cavities, but the second one was so small, it wasn't worth doing anything about it at this point.

My family of four have been seeing Dr Tam for 6 or 7 years now. Honestly, you could not find a friendlier group, who clearly love where they work and what they are doing. I feel like a happier person every time I leave this office, like the world just got rosier. I don't want to get into personal health details too much, but Dr Tam is my hero today and I wish I could find a family care Doctor who was so friendly, competent and eager to help their patients optimize their health. Dr Tam's office has handled the pandemic beyond anything you could imagine - family care doctors could learn more than a thing or two from him, on how to continue to provide un-compromised care, even through a pandemic. A big thanks to everyone working at Waterdown Dental, I feel so privileged.

Just had my first visit to this dental office after making a transfer. The staff was very friendly. The office was very clean with a nice new modern feel. Given the pandemic going on I felt very safe here with how clean the office was and all staff was following health guidelines. After only one visit here I feel welcome and comfortable. I would definitely recommend waterdown dental!!

I have been going to them for the past 3 years. In all this time, I have had nothing but excellent service from the entire team. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. I was there recently and felt very comfortable with all of the precautions taken to safeguard clients. As always, they have gone above and beyond.

I would give no star if I can. This Dentist is all about upselling. His receptionist called me telling that is it time to do check up, so I had it but my insurance didn’t cover it as it was too soon. When I decline unnecessary drilling my teeth two times he literally showed me on door saying that I better go to other dentist.

Received a warm welcome upon entering the Dental office. Asked questions about my well being taking blood pressure and temperature. I was taken in right away and my procedure was done with no discomfort and with ease. Happy with the outcome and would recommend this Dental office to my friends and family.

We have going here since the practice first opened in 2003. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would. Honest, friendly, professional support staff and a great patient atmosphere. Both Dr. Andre Tam and Dr. Tyler Tam are solid professionals, can't ask for anything better.

Had my first visit with Dr Tam and his team this morning. Routine check up and cleaning. Top shelf facility and nice staff. Dr Tam is a straight shooter. I recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist in Waterdown.
