Honestly this place and its employees have become disgusting to say the least. I don't normally dont ever write reviews but I've had it. An employee here literally threatened to physically assault my husband and take him into the parking lot when my husband simply asked the guy to stop talking to me the way he especially in front of our 3 children. He terrified them. We were at self check out since they of course don't open lines anymore apparently and he kept harrasing me asking if I scanned my crackpot he asked about this one item alone 3 times, then continued to ask me about the rest then even bags, I said excuse me sir, I come here 3 times a week I spend tens of thousands here a year I manage a store myself, you are standing 2 feet from me I'm on camera I have my 3 small kids, you can gladly help me out and scan these items yourself if you'd like to truly help. He said I'm just doing my job, I SAID HARRASING CUSTOMERS IS NOT YOUR JOB YOU HAVE INSULTING AND RUDE SERVICE. He laughed and said feel free not to come back, my husband told him not to speak to me like that, he then got I'm my husband's face and asked him if he had a problem and if he wanted to take it outside in front of our kids! The manager had to come and break it off and push the man off from my husband. This man is still employees! I literally had people walk up and provide me with their phone number to give me because they were so astonished by what he did and they witnessed it. He got a slap on the wrist and works there laughs at me every time I come in. The managers ignored me after the incident and left me standing there for 25 minutes after telling me she'll be right back. Now today, I was black Friday shopping and took pictures of all my times to make sure the prices matched at the front so I don't over spend on my christmas gifts, one item didn't match up as scanned so I showed the manager the picture of the item I had to argue to get the price it's listed at and she then continued to insult me call me names tell me I'm a scammer, you have 3 of these kids trucks on the self exact same and under that price there! It's only $9 off! I didn't put it there and you have cameras to prove it. The customer service here is beyond concerning. Even the managers are the worst. Threaten to physically assault you and then call you Names and all the rest. Literally they walk around like people in prison! Threatening to assault you and keep thier jobs after the fact not to mention calling you Names. There's no service anymore. It's truly awful. I can't believe what's happened to this Country. No morals no respect no service not even simple human decentcy. Just animals now. I even called head office never even got a call back. I won't be spending my money here anymore not that they care. But if my review will save others! Then that's great. No wonder all the reviews even on Facebook of this place are 1 star. They'd leave a 0 if they could.
I was at the Hays Boulevard Store in Oakville this afternoon at 4 pm. I fell in the paint isle. Someone had spilled white or off while paint on the floor. I stepped into it without noticing and went flying. My shoes are destroyed, so are my socks. I got up and was so shaken up. One associate was walking by. I told her that I fell. She could also see the mess on the floor and see the damage to my shoes. She didn’t care. All she said was: ”I don’t work in this section. She said "Go to the front”. She took off and I went to the Customer Service desk. I told the lady that’s always around and seems to be in charge what happened. She went to the Customer Service desk and fiddled around, told the cashier that I feel and want to get reimbursed for the damage to my shoes and socks. NOBODY cared to ask me how I was or if I was hurt. Everyone just stuck their head into the sand. That lady walked away. She said she’d be back and she said she told the Manager. I waited there for 45 minutes. I had asked twice to see the Manager who was “supposed” to come, but in all this time not one person cared about me. NO manager bothered to show up. Nobody cared enough to take my contact info. What a horrible experience. I will never go back to that store. Everyone acted as if they personally had to pay for something. They are totally ignorant human beings. What would have happened to me if I had broken something? Would have left me hanging there? This is a horrible store with horrible uncaring staff. I finally took off and told them I will write a review and I will call head office. This is disgusting. I went back to the paint department to take a photo of the mess. I never thought of doing that at the time of the incident. However, when I got there they had already cleaned up the floor. I am sorry that I didn’t think of taking a photo before leaving the scene. I held on some shelves as I was falling and took some stuff with me. But everything was cleaned up - silently :-). What a great job. However, you can see my skid marks on the floor. When I returned to Customer Service they had all new people there. All the ones that knew about my situation had disappeared. What a joke, but I also realize that the employees are really powerless when a big company like Walmart doesn't care about their customers. I am a spa owner. I treat people the way I want to be treated, and I have policies in place. I guess Walmart feels they don't need anything like that! I am 60 plus and I have osteoporosis. Thank God I am fit, but what someone who is not? I also called their head office. The guy said I should send in my review with the photos, but my email never went through. It just kept coming back. It's just incredible. NO, I do not recommend this place to anyone.
This used to be my favourite Walmart. I shop here multiple times a week and there are many wonderful employees. Today I simply tried to buy my son and him teammates some mini sticks for Christmas since they were on sale. One of the employees rushed over as I was at the self check out and would not allow me to purchase them. I was told they had made a mistake on pricing and that they should not have not been on the floor. She told me the employees were suppose to have removed them from the floor, but had failed to do so. I explained I don’t think that’s my issue, and that if an item is priced on the floor that means it’s for sale. I argued it wasn’t my fault that the employees failed or do their job and that I’d like to continue my purchase. I even offered to pay more, and picked up the items trying to make an agreement. The manager was there by now and threatened me that if I did that it would be theft. I even tried to hand her the money. She then ripped the items out of my hand causing me to bleed. There was blood all over my phone and hand. When I tried to show her what she had done she wouldn’t even listen or turn around to look and denied it all. I took pictures and reported the incident. I’m extremely disappointed in the way I was treated, as mentioned before I’ve been an extremely loyal customer! I’m there multiple times a week spending so much money! What ever happened to the customer is always right?? If they don’t want to sell something then don’t have it for sale the floor!!! Not only that, I think I should be compensated for my injuries, given a gift card to purchase the mini sticks at the new price they have decided on, or given the mini sticks at the price listed !! I’m completely astonished and confused by this whole situation. I really hope someone is willing to assist me with this.
Not sure if I got his name right, but Billy (has gray hair and blue eyes), the rep that does the phone plan work is literally amazing. My husband and I always come to him when we need to change our phone plans. Today the lines were so long for the phone deal and he worked overtime and standing for god knows how long. All of us in line were sitting on stools and exhausted but he worked so hard, with a calm and happy attitude. There was even a troubling customer who was yelling and screaming (seemed like she was not in the right state of mind)- he handled that well by calmly responding and calling back up to escort the lady out. The lady was even throwing things and it was unsafe but because of how Billy reacted, we all felt calm and safe because he was handling the situation. He also went around when he could and answered everyone’s questions and informed everyone the deal was only for certain types of phones literally saving people hours from waiting in line and hearing disappointing news. Billy is literally such a great worker, I always trust him to tell me the best deals. But please, get Billy and even the others some nice foam matts. They all stand for hours and on the same spot- and I was dying standing in the line for 2 hours and I even got to sit, but I can’t imagine how tired he and the others must have been. Please give Billy a raise and get him a damn foam matt or else I might need to leave a bad review.
This store is not the best of the Walmarts I have shopped at in the Halton Region. Burlington has better Walmarts and I also prefer others in the Hamilton region. This location has historically always been poor with their stocking. It is quite often that I go there and only get about 3/4 of what's on my list (or less) because many of the shelves are empty and sometimes it's months before they are restocked. This is not Covid-related, though, as this has been a problem for many, many years (although I'm sure now it's been exacerbated by Covid and supply-chain issues). The store is also poorly staffed in terms of cashiers, and always has been. Before they installed the self-checkouts, they would have only a few cash registers open but ~15 cash registers sitting there closed, and very long line-ups. Now they expect you to check out the items yourself, but prices are not any lower despite them saving on staffing and making their customers do their own scanning and bagging (in fact, they have gone up recently). I also noticed that they are not bagging for customers anymore. I always had brought my own bags and they would bag for me, but now they make you do it yourself. As usual, the public gets little for more money. If you are able to travel to Mississauga or Burlington, I would bypass this location and go to one in those cities instead.
They didn’t follow a lot of Covid protocols from what I can see. There workers speak other languages other than English in front of customers unnecessarily, so customers don’t know what they are saying. This is really rude. A worker touched my grocery cart for no reason, spreading germs, and then was offended when I told her not to. There was like 5 workers in one aisle in the baby section, making it impossible for me to get what I needed while still social distancing. Update: they now have homeless people begging for money and food at the exit... and today I saw a worker not covering face fully, just mouth. I only come here because it’s close I have kids and sometimes you just need something at the local Walmart but I hate coming here every time Update 2: they have 10% off for all teachers on all regular priced items. It’s not advertised anywhere except at the customer service desk with one sign. I just happen to see it. And they wouldn’t honour the discount on my past purchase on the 13th (within the window of the discount) unless I brought everything back and bought it again. Also wouldn’t price guarantee a pair of shoes bought in Walmart in Quebec because they were bought a different province. Took the shoes to a store in Mississauga and had no problems getting the price guarantee.
I just went to this Walmart store after being released from hospital with my new born baby and husband in the car to pick up a breast pump along with other breast pumping items. There was only one unit of the particular pump I wanted and the price underneath read $119. I took a picture of this as it might have appeared to be a different pumps price. I took a picture of all the pumps on the shelves. The particular pump I was going to purchase was no where priced or labeled on the shelve. When I went to cash out they advised the price was 450. I showed the photo of the shelves. The manger went and looked. She then called the store supervisor. They refused to honour the price. As they said a “customer” could have put it there. However there was no original price anywhere on the shelves (as evidence of my photo). So it would have not been possible for a customer to move this. The store supervisor advised how policies have changed and they don’t need to honour this as they now have policies that protect the consumer and the store. I have since called Walmart corporate and advised them of the situation and I have been advised I will hear a “satisfactory” response within 48-72hrs. Update: Walmart corporate never called me back.
DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS AT WALMART! We bought Walmart gift cards (not third party gift cards) from this store totalling $1000. We had the cards in our possession the whole time and scratched off the pin to use them one day and the cards had no balance. Walmart sent us to a dozen different phone numbers and people to talk to, wasted 20+ hours of our time and refused to do anything about it. 1) Walmart is completely negligent in maintaining the security of their gift cards. If cards can be defrauded so easily prior to their sale, they are effectively selling a fraudulent product. 2) The Walmart customer service network is horribly organized and full of incompetent individuals. None have any idea what to do and are more than happy to waste your time by just sending you to another useless customer service department. 3) The fact they can sell a defective product and offer absolutely nothing as compensation is utterly baffling. If I bought a $1,000 electronic device that just didn't work at all, I would be eligible for a full refund/exchange. Instead, since it's a gift card, they imply I am to blame for it being defrauded. DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS AT WALMART!!!
I’ve not had many interactions with staff at this Walmart before but I had one recently that makes me rethink whether I should find another Walmart. I had finished checking out using their self scanner (only available options) and didn’t have a bag with me. Since I bought some frames including a bulky one I had to stack it in a certain way to be able to carry everything out. As I was stacking I inadvertently scanned on of the frames again. I notified the staff at the self scanners that I inadvertently scanned the frame because it was at the bottom and that’s when this event started. The staff asked to see my receipt and began checking the items. At that point I felt insulted because it felt like I was being treated like I a thief, but also a stupid one that accidentally scanned what I was going to steal and told the staff. Walmart you need to hired brighter staff or provide better training so staff don’t think a customer would try to steal something that tell them that they accidentally scanned what they wanted to take. While I’d prefer to not support Jeff Bezos, I feel like it’s much simpler that way.
I walked into Walmart with the intention of buying a coffee from the McDonald's establishment inside. As I made my way out, the display of vibrant orange t-shirts immediately grabbed my attention. These shirts have become an annual tradition for us, carrying significant meaning that reminds us of the tragic history of residential schools. The act of wearing an orange shirt is part of a nationwide movement that honors children who survived residential schools and to remember the lives that were lost Wearing orange is a symbol of respect and mourning. This particular Walmart store had a wide range of sizes available, making it effortless for me to locate the two I needed. The process of self-checkout started with a short wait in line. The payment process was easy and quick. I must point out that the payment station was somewhat untidy and could use some cleaning. I opted to hold onto my items rather than placing them in the unclean area. I didn't engage with any staff members during my visit, no greeting when I entered or when I left. I had a neutral experience, I purchased what I wanted and left.
In general, I like this store as I get most of the stuff I need at this store. Here is why I am deducting a couple of points: 1. Lack of product awareness: I opted for the Walmart Credit Card at self checkout. The gentleman who was telling me about the card could not tell me if I would get the rewards card or the world master card. I felt I was eligible for the world card as I fulfill all criteria but they still have me the world card. I know the store does not control it but I didn’t get any clear answers on why I was given the lower card. So the place that sold me the card should own the experience and thus loose the point for it. 2. Carelessness: when the staff was helping me with the application, she asked for my Drivers License which I provided. While I did receive the card at my home address, she had keyed it incorrectly by putting “…Parkway…” instead of “…Park Drive…”. So when I registered it online and created an online account, I noticed and fixed the discrepancy but my card got blocked. Took me a couple of days and a few calls to get it fixed.
One of the worst Walmart chains. Manager is never around keeping lines moving and forget about getting assistance as no one knows anything. Lazy workers and filthy store overall. Adding to this extremely poor rating, yesterday, March 26th, 2023, my son and I were exiting and crossing on the walk, when a young person in his vehicle kept driving as we and everyone else were walking through crosswalk. He was not stopping as he kept edging his way closer to my legs. He was no more then a foot away from me as I stopped and stared at him to stop. This Walmart is disgusting. A womans handbag was stolen off her shoulder at a cash register and a car was stolen in parking lot!!!! What more does the management have to have happened to get proper security OUTSIDE the front doors of this location??? The lazy security they have now look totally disinterested in welcoming customers into the store & have zero regard for customers needs. The management needs to GO and be replaced with an individual who actually has high work ethics.
This is a horrific Walmart in the way they treat people. The Walmart greeters are young punk kids that think that they're cops. I went there with my elderly mother and we forgot our bags in the car she wanted to go while I waited with the cart in front of the Walmart greeter without her purse mind you to go grab the bags and he wouldn't let her out. He says you have to go all the way around even though we parked in the disabled parking and she can barely walk. He refused I'm guessing because he thought she stole things and could put them in her pocket.!!! She was horrified and complained to customer service and they didn't do anything or cared and as we were leaving the very sensitive alarm goes off (others went through behind us) He singled us out and he refused to let us leave Walmart without checking our receipts and reading every item. He was upset that we complained about him and he didn't want us to leave without getting more offensive remarks in.
During my last shopping experience here, I still had to bag my own groceries, even though I used one of the cashier staffed checkouts. Since customers must bring their own bags now and the cashier during my visit did not even bother to offer to bag my groceries and other purchases for me, then what’s the benefit in continuing to use the cashier lanes over the self checkout machines? I’m guessing that what the cashiers don’t realize is that by not bagging customer’s groceries and other purchases, they’re playing right into the hands of corporate and franchisees who undoubtedly have short or long term plans to eliminate the cashier lanes entirely and replace them all with self checkout lanes. If cashiers aren’t going to provide any value added service in an effort to protect their own jobs, then when the hammer of self checkout lanes only drops, they will have only themselves to blame. Sad but true. RIP Walmart cashiers!
I was just in this Walmart, this evening Wed May 25 At 8:40pm! My fiancé and I were checking out And I needed to use the woman’s restroom. So maybe around 8:50pm/8:55pm when I was in there, there was a Walmart associate. Once I finished, she also finished. I went to go wash my hands and as I was washing my hands, I am watching this lady standing there on her phone. So I was taking my time thinking once she finishes on her phone she’ll wash her hands…but no she starts moving towards the exit as I was as well and I turned to her and said she should wash her hands bc she works her and she tells me that they wear gloves anyways! What the…! So I waited a little once I got out and she turned around to go back in hopefully she went to go wash her hands but what the freak man. I didn’t catch her name but if there’s a Walmart rep reading this, this is wrong! Make sure you guys are ensuring everyone’s washing their hands!
Online on Walmart, the De’Longhi Stilosa Espresso Machine is $128 but in store they have the identical machine selling for $145. The woman working at customer service refused to price match even though my cashier told me they price match at customer service. I was the only one in line at 10am so it's not like I was holding up a long line of people. The woman told me she couldn't check if they were the same machine. I showed her the price and item online and showed her that I had the "available at Oakville store" button selected. She told/lied to me that there was no way for staff to check if the item I was showing her was even in stock in the store lol. She told me that I would have to buy it on their website to get the deal so I bought it for $128 on Amazon. I am honestly not sure if the woman was being lazy and vengeful or was simply extremely dimwitted. Either way, it was a super frustrating experience.
Worst store manager. Went out there today because I bought a gift master card. I paid 500 plus activation from the store. The card was not working and then I found out that the card was replaced although the box was sealed. After back and forth with the customer service, they called Neveen the store manager. She was Arrogant and she did not want to listen. She said it is my problem and I have to call the vendor. She wanted to call the security for me to walk out the store. I am wondering if Walmart customer service is to harass the customers. She should not be in this place or at least to be educated how to handle customers' issues. She is definitely unqualified! I am going to file a complaint against her at Walmart Canada and will file a case at the business bureau
Pharmacy was excellent. Very proficient and responsive. However... Like every other question/complaint I had to call Customer service and nothing. It rings forever, and eventually somebody picks up, and then immediately hangs up. Deplorable. Will never go back. What insulting customer "service" UPDATE: I actually eventually had to go into the store to talk to customer service. I noticed the phone wasn't ringing at all. So I called it while I was in line waiting. Nothing When I got to the front I was talking to the person behind the desk (who was very nice and clearly had been working their butt off) about how it was weird that the phone hadn't rang once since I had been waiting. She replied "Oh no.. we turn the ringers off, it rings way too much" Well there you go!
The worst customer service I've ever experienced is at this location. When I got in the line I heard the cashier promoting her own small business to the customer in front of me. That customer got awkward and completely ignored her. I bought a gift card and requested a gift receipt from the cashier before she even started ringing me up. She said ok but after I paid she very conveniently forgot about it. I went to the customer service manager to ask if she could print me the gift receipt but she got defensive and refused to help. In the end I asked if I could speak one of the store managers, they were paged, but none of them bothered to come help. I stayed there for half an hour and eventually left without my receipt. The whole experience was frustrating!
A nightmare. Ordered boxes of tea today. Went to pick up. Online email did not have barcode to scan at pick up tower. Fellow helping me was pleasant and had someone bring me my and another persons order who they had agreed I could pick up in a walmart bag, loose. Not packaged Got home, missing 2 items When chekcing out individual came to me asking if I was a repeat customer. I told him no. He asked if he colleague standing near him had a nice smile, I obviously answered yes. He then gave me a Walmart discount card to get $15 dollars off my next online order if I gave "Rohan" a good review but I had never met Rohan before. This was November 19th. Tried calling Hays Blvd store but rang for over 19 mins. Will add screen shots if needed.
I went to Walmart this morning to buy 2 Steam gift cards for a gift. One worked, but the other Steam card number didn’t. I went back two hours later and requested an exchange for the card, but they advised me that it’s a final sale. There was no sign by the gift cards indicating that it’s a final sale at the time of purchase. The manager told me the final sale policy is on their website. Who has time to go on their website? A smart management team would put a sign out saying it’s a final sale. As a massive corporation, it takes two minutes to put up a sign indicating that all gift cards are final sale or at least stamp the receipt at the time of purchase. I am very disappointed, and it’s such a shame for a big corporation.
Walmart repeatedly ignored requests at Customer Service to collect their carts left for over 6 months on the side of the road in the neighbourhood. The town finally took that responsibility and had them removed. Today only a week after the town removed them another has appeared on the same site on Glenashton and Lane 112. They have been notified about it again with a customer service manager at the store. I realize it is not their fault they appear in these places but they to need to take accountability of a) their customers actions, b) their property c) the neighbourhood they are profiting from d) Collect their equipment . You don't see No frills or Longo's carts anywhere
**UPDATE! Turns out 5 years later they still can’t get their pickup and orders correct. Don’t waste your time with this store. I will NEVER order off Walmart online and have it delivered to this store. The management did not take ownership for the mistake their employee made by accepting my online order with only half the package there (1 of 2 boxes) I had to go in and out of the store 4 times to get my shipment completed (bistro set). I had to accept the wrong order, return it, reorder the same item online again and then return back to store to get the item with all boxes included. I ordered online for convenience and this experience was anything but convenient.
The store had a good selection of products, and the prices were reasonable. I was able to find everything I needed and didn't have any trouble with the quality of the items I purchased. It would have been nice to have more cashiers available, especially for customers who prefer to pay with cash or need assistance with their purchases. I understand that self-checkout can be faster and more efficient, but it's not always the best option for everyone. Overall, I would give Walmart a three-star rating. While the store itself was fine, the lack of available cashiers and reliance on self-checkout machines detracted from my shopping experience.
Big and clean store. You can find almost anything that you need there. They have great selection of fruits and vegetables. The store have public restrooms and the parking lot is really big. The store open until 11:00 pm The store is ready for Halloween The store have great variety of Christmas lights, trees, outdoor and indoor decorations The store is follow the COVID 19 health protocol. You have to wear all the time. They have pharmacy and optical inside the store. The public transportation pass just in front of the store. Is hard to find an employee to get help. They saling rosticery chicken is you like it.
Good Customer Service We were at Walmart looking for a specific item we could not find. Not surprised because this store is huge and has everything. So we went to customer service for help. The gentleman there helped us look for the item online and took us right to it to take a look because he was super busy and had to sort through 2 shopping carts filled with items, he brought these to the back with him. He pushed both carts and walked super fast because he needed to get stuff done. Multitasking, hardworking and dedicated loyalty to his company. We forgot to get his name. Thank you for your assistance.
This Walmart is great for things outside of groceries. If you need things like clothes, everyday items, electronics, or sports equipment, shop here. The prices are great on those and a lot of the times on sale. If you need groceries, do not come here. Most of the time, the produce is not in stock, or very little is present. They are also known to put expired things on their shelves. Another complaint is the busyness, which is not really their fault, just something to point out. If you want a fast, in and out, shopping experience, you are better going to another store as the lines here are always long.
False advertising and rude customer service manager. Went to buy a Dyson vacuum. As shown in pics they put up wrong price tag on the wrong product which was a $100 difference. I asked them to honor it and showed them the aisle and the mistake but the customer service manager refused to accept their mistake and instead was showing attitude and power he think he has being a manager. He was chewing gum and said it's not their mistake at all. Not only did he refuse to honor the price shown, he also was very rude to us. Please see pic and tell me that it's not wrong. Returned the item after all
KUDOS FOR EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT DECISION - IN A PANDEMIC WORLD THIS IS WHAT ALL WALMARTS SHOULD HAVE - TOUCHLESS PURIFIED WATER DISPENSERS FOR CUSTOMERS & EMPLOYEES WHO WANT TO AVOID GETTING GERM SICK FROM ORDINARY WATER FOUNTAINS - ST CATHARINES / WATERDOWN / HANOVER LOCATIONS ALSO HAVE THESE WATER DISPENSERS IN THE AREA - NOW IF WE CAN GET THE OTHER AREA WALMARTS TO REMOVE THE BAGS/FOUNTAINS AND REPLACE THEM WITH THESE - Newer Store - Selection better then other area WMs however still like many in Canada lacks the essential everyday products that the US store counterparts have
My wife bought a patio furniture set at this location was not too impress with the manager that help her in the morning not a nice individual. Their was a problem with one off the chairs we bought it back in the evening for an exchange. We met the night managers Jeremy and John awesome individual friendly pleasant. They are examples of good managers, with awesome customer service skills. Thank you both for a good experience. A lot off people only take the time out when things are wrong and forget to reward good experience. Thank you both for a good customer experience.
I was a bit surprised to learn they eliminated plastic bags but have no signage I saw to warn you before you do all your shopping, or alternative like paper. You can buy reusable, if a bag using a lot more plastic that you already have 200 of is your thing. The self checkouts still prompt you for how many bags you used ... it's like their climate strategy was "just stop reordering shopping bags, that'll fix it". Other than that, standard walmart, mild chaos, largely functional, increasingly pushing self checkout, not as clear who works there as it used to be.
I waiting 1 hour for help to carry a wood organizer to my car. I have a very bad back and the cashier called someone to help and could not reach anyone. They told me to go to customer service and I paid and still waited for help carrying my item from the shelf to my car. No one was available to help and this is a concern for other people who are not able to lift heavier items, pregnant women, and elderly people. I ended up risking m back to take my item to the car with no help or assistance. I was very patient however this is concerning.
A few times I went to Hays Blvd store for flyer featured items on the first day of sales and the items were not available. I just went this afternoon for pomegranates which is on flyer starting today. Enquired three staffs and finally was told it was sold out. The tiny shelf space allocated for pomegranates is less than one square foot which was filled with dragon fruits. The sign was there but there was no merchandise. It seems like they just wanted to use flyer to attract people to the store with no intention to honour the sale.
Visited this location and it was great! Store is organzied and big. When I asked for assistance, the staff member walked with me to show me exactly where I could find what I was looking for. This IS proper customer service and something I haven't seen people do in YEARS! This was amazing to see. We opted to be serviced by a cashier and not a robot (self checkout). The cashier was friendly, kind and cashed us out beautifully. It was a great experience. It is a shame that there are more self checkouts than actual cashiers.

Almost no floor staff available to assist on a Saturday afternoon and the staff that you do find are basically clueless. Customer service is no better. I needed help finding an item that is listed as in stock on the website. The customer service rep verified that it was available but told me that the item is likely in the back and I'll have to wait for a them to restock overnight. Not acceptable. This is exactly why Amazon is successful and local stores are seeing a decline in business. Pathetic
This Walmart should be labelled: Sale items not in stock and no rain check. It seems that when items go on sale the inventory is strategically managed to severely limit the amount of sales of a particular product. Case in point, this week a 24 Pack of Nestle water was on sale for $2.29, several visit to the store showed the 1 crate empty, however they were "a million" cases of the 12 pack available. One would think that they would offer 2 of the 12 pack for the same price. Crooks.
It's okay, but I'm struggling to give more than that. It's huge, it's got most things you could need, and there is ample parking for lots of cars. Some of the food seemed hit and miss, some croissants we got that were unopened had gone off about a week before expiry date. When we asked about finding a particular product, we ended up asking 3 different staff members and got 3 different responses. Compared to other shopping we did on our holiday, this one was the most disappointing.
Pharmacy - no doubt these folks are very busy but I waited at the counter for 5 minutes. There were 3 of them back there and they saw me but ignored me. I finally had to do the wave to get them to speak to me. Self check-out - adds a charge for a plastic bag even though I brought my own bag. Sweet scam - there must be thousands of people that roll through there every day, each one getting scammed for a nickel. Nice way to goose your profits without providing any value.
This is one of the best walmart locations i have been so far. This store is BIG, its CLEAN and Spaced out. Perfect for shopping in such Covid-19 situations. I did notice that the groceries and even clothes section have bigger varieties than other locations, say for example the Square one. It could be due to the fact that the SQ1 is in a mall location whereas this has its own , plus parking. Definitely will visit this location going forward, for all my shopping needs !
Huge parking lot. Lot of businesses around. Good place to visit. A lot of options available to shop. Plaza has a lot of other business there too. You can roam.around inside and outside of plaza and other malls in the block. Walmart has usually indian and other food items readiky available which you can ask from staff as well. Usually staff is not thay friendly or they do not know stuff that much because i had to fidn a particular item by asking time and again.
This place never surprises. Everyone standing around In a circle and nobody knows anything. A section of products has no help at all for customers. You are paying a person to stand there daily and say they don't know anything about the department. Why have them there ? Donate the money instead, feed the poor, or hire someone. The best part is the deer in the headlights look from the management. Shop online instead or a store with better service.
I visited the store today, October 13/23. I needed wet baby wipes. I met a gentleman, Mr Imraan chaudhry, and asked him where I can find the product. He went out of his way to help me look for the produc. It was the last one and right at end , which was difficult to reach. . To cut the long story short. He was so very polite and helpful, and I must admit, I never , ever experienced that kind of kind and efficient service. Thank you Imraan
I am in line 14 at this Walmart and already waiting almost 10 minutes do nothing just watching a store supervisor who brought in another customer (cut in my line) because she is helping the customer applying Walmart credit card !!! This female supervisor was asking me to apply Walmart card but I refused! Now she is keep asking other customers to apply and whoever agrees she just brought them in front of the line !!!
Poor inventory shelves are always empty except for their brand went to get 3 items no stock ex recycle bags shelf empty. Always a line up to check out. Forcing u to self check I’m paying them to check me out their not paying me to check myself out. Overall very poor customer service. 20 minutes away Walmart Burlington. Always have stocked shelves. Maybe they should go to there and see how to run a store properly
If I could give 0 stars I would. I used their delivery service, they got paid for the order, which was supposed to be delivered yesterday, I spoke to 4 CSRs and each had a different story. It's now the day after and still did not get my order. So it seems someone else probably got my the order at my expense and I did not even get a refund. Will never shop with Walmart again. Worst service I've ever encountered.
Last i checked i wasnt employed by walmart. This self checkout nonsense is a joke. People need to honestly just start going to the store. Filling their carts full of groceries and leaving them at the self checkouts for the employees to deal with. Im buying your goods and products and you are making me check them out? Haha ya hard pass. Even dumpy stores like no frills still have checkout lines. Walmart sucks.
I visit Walmart every now and then and take a compete round just to see the amazing products they have to offer. Just recently, I came across this cutest honey jar.. it would be a great addition to your kitchen/ dinning table! ❤️ Also, anyone who has tried this medium Poha from Walmart, please comment and let me know if it's worth buying and would taste the same as it did back in India! Thanks in advance
I just wanted the commend the great customer service I received at the Walmart on Hays Blvd in Oakville. I have shopped there weekly in the last few years but the last couple occasions I was especially pleased with Masiha, Sana and Maria at the customer service counter. They went above and beyond to assist me re price adjustments/ returns. They are all a great asset to Walmart. Well done!
Worst Walmart in all of Halton region. Lack of stock and workers do nothing but stand around and talk. Also got followed around by the fat black woman employee everywhere to the point of harassment. Never knew that if you took your time shopping you’re automatically a thief? Maybe she should follow the demographic of people who statistically steal the most instead. Never coming back here!
The store is located in Smart Centres Oakville and has lots of parking spots available. It is a big well-maintained superstore and they have been keeping it clean, especially during Covid-19 pandemic. It has a great collection of fresh vegetables and fruits. You also can find many cookware, clothing, cosmetics and entertainment options here. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Today I had a bad experience with customer service when I spent 35 min arguing to return a product. Later, manager Esraa came and she resolved the situation within 2 minutes, she was being very cooperative and supportive of the matter and you could tell she cared about customer satisfaction unlike the other 2 associates who were arguing with me for half an hour.
Maybe I have my expectations set too high. But service here is not worth complaining about as there seems to be none. Even at selfcheckout you need to flag someone down in any attempt to get help. Even trying to identify store staff vs customers is almost impossible. What ever happened to the WalMart vests? Blue or Yellow? Not a fan of todays visit.
Excellent store, are familiar with their holiday return policy. Tried returning a Nintendo Switch given to us as a gift at another Walmart (City Centre) where it was bought last xmas holiday during the period stated in the return policy yet would not accept. This store did without question without hassle, did not waste my time. Way to go!
Horrible online ordering experience. They notified me they Didn’t have the main item I needed in stock after I already ordered and my order was ready. Needed a medication for severe pain. Confirmed with pharmacist this item is in fact in stock. Currently Waiting in phone queue for over an hour to cancel my order. Do not shop here!
BEWARE! Absolutely horrible! All these reviews can talk about how big the store is and the parking but what about the expired foods they put out. Loads of maple leaf hot dogs expired by a month or more were put out for sale. Absolutely disgusting. This is not the first time they have put out expired food. Read your labels!
Friendly staff, store is somewhat clean... you can tell the customers ransacked the store and they where trying to get it back into shape the only issue i have is self check out... or that cashiers no longer bag your items... part of good customer service is start to end not just take the money go to the next customer...
If you need assistance at self checkout it’ll be about 10 minutes before anyone comes even though there is an obnoxious red light flashing. I waited and waited for an associate to help me purchase alcohol while they just stood there gossiping to one another. I ended up just walking up to them and asking for assistance.
Not very organized. Good for occasional grocery specials. Edit: More organized these days. Easy to pick up online orders for free. Lots of late evening shoppers, only self service counters and not enough staff to help. Felt really sorry for the staff running around when 25% of the counters had a red light on.
Took my passport photo and ended up getting rejected at Passport Canada because they were too blurry... Went back for a refund and found the customer service rep who said the photos are always blurry here... and that she recommends people take the photos elsewhere.... ummmm Thanks Walmart …
The sidewalks around the building especially on the bus stop side is totally littered with trash. Very gross. Right up to the front door there’s garbage strewn around. The shopping carts are all over , even behind the store and usually have trash in them. This is very unacceptable.
You'd think with the Walmart family being worth $225 billion dollars that they would have some cashiers working especially during the Christmas season. BUT NO, you have to wait In long lines to check yourself out. And then I see a set operating cleaning machine. It's pure GREED.
Perfect Wash room. Wonderful washing Tap(not too small Water flow) , perfect Efficiency drying hand machine (clean), perfect clean Full-body mirror(There is not a single stain), and Sensitive automatic flush toilet(Many toilets are broken by automatic flushing.). …
I am doing pick up at this location for the last 2.5 years. For the last few months, the pick up service is often late (25 to 30 min wait time). The walmart management is making same excuses like short of staff, busy, and others. I have decided to avoid this location.
Encountered an abusive disrespectful behaviour from a delivery order handler calling me a liar for waiting over 25mins for an order. Usually a well organized walmart but the power of a bad apple was manifested today. Just watch for mouthy undisciplined behaviour.
One of the cleanest Walmarts. Always prefer going to the oakville location just based on a better experience. More space, less crowded. Had a hard time trying to find children's clothing in the 5-6t range. Either everything was smaller, or everything was larger.
Good selection of items but they need to re stock the isles more. many times at this location the product is not on isles but they have it in stock. avoid weekends as its waay too overcrowded (good number of check out lanes open which is a good thing).
Nice big store, everything you possibly need is there. But may not be for everyone if looking for more. At this location more shops. Why posting lost a grandson glove. If happen to be in area let me know if you come across it.
Thieves. Consistently have lower prices displayed on the shelves and different prices once scanned at the cash out stations. Pay attention and raise the issue as they don't mind your extra dollar in their pocket.
Why have 25 self checkout kiosks and then only have 10 open because you don’t have enough staff to monitor them. It’s self checkout. If you’re worried about theft put the regular checkout lanes back in.
This place sucks now. Shelves are poorly stocked. No plastic bags no paper bags and alarm rings if you leave with the basket. It’s always a zoo and stock is slim these days. Superstore is much nicer.
Walmart designated new online picking parking lot but did not put any sign to direct customers to new online parking lot. So, customers get in side and ask how to pick order? This is not good
Great store. Always good shopping experience. Return policy has changed surprisingly. No return without receipt. However at Home Depot once you present ur credit card won't need a receipt.
Wanted to buy oil filter there, looks like out of stock for months as was not able to find it last year either. Gadget to find your filter model was broken too. Had to go to CT to get it.
The minutekey kiosk that copies keys makes faulty keys. Walmart says talk to the machine makers for refund and minutekey does not even respond. Total scam. Do not waste your money there.
I usually avoid this Walmart even though it's the closest to me as they run out things. I used to think it was post-pandemic issues but then realized other Walmarts are fully stocked
Hmmm the Indian worker asked me if I wanted to play with a smile on his face. Out of respect for my nephew I didn't make a scene. I will def be reporting this to head office
Worst experience . Indian lady at photo center was highly unprofessional and rude please arrange proper customer service training for them
Excellent place for purchase of daily needs stuff It's a very huge place to accommodate all kinds of different varieties of stuff.
Very good store, it was organized and staff were kind. Prices were cheap (cheaper than the neighboring real Canadian superstore
Had an issue with a lost item and Bilal helped sort it out. I really appreciated the kindness. Thank you Bilal
Great Walmart, friendly staff, one stop shop for pretty much everything, now selling Beer, Wine and coolers.
My hometown Walmart! Great times and great offers. I love shopping here and have been for many years
Very good place to buy good prices. bathrooms on the 2nd floor in case someone needs to go quickly.
March 14,2020 wooow never seen the shelves that empty wish all of us the best of health
Poorly stocked, terrible customer service and bad managers
Long opening hours. It is brighter after redecoration
