This was the best tour we went on while we were in Nashville. There are many corporate run tours in the city that are very generic and provide a superficial level of information. If you are looking to support a local business and also wanting to experience a more in depth tour this is the one for you. Can't say enough good things about the tour guide. He provided lots of indepth information and had personal stories that made the tour feel much more intimate. When choosing a music tour you can either A. Pick a company that will provide you basic info with a tour guide who talks on a script with little information about the music industry or B. Go on this tour where you get first hand information from a musician, song writer and music journalist who has lived in Nashville most of his life. Personally, I think the choice is pretty easy between A and B!

Bill DeMain is a Nashville treasure - he leads THE most fascinating tour in Nashville. If you want to learn the role music played in the history of Nashville, this tour is for you! Bill is extraordinarily knowledgeable, articulate, and is a pro at weaving stories into the variety of sites you will be visiting. I take every out of town visitor on Bill's tour FIRST so they have the groundwork and the appreciation for the impact music had on Nashville's history. Not just country music - gospel music, jazz music, western music, etc. You will learn SO much from this tour and be thoroughly entertained for two hours. An A++++ experience!

My five star rating really is not accurate because this is a TEN STAR TOUR! If you love music, of course you’ll love it but our large group included social studies teachers from around the nation and many were not into music yet all enjoyed the tour and Bill demonstrated a deep knowledge of Nashville & Tennessee history and architecture as well as a great knack for engaging each person at various points. A great time was had by all!

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Nashville! Bill is not only an expert on the Nashville music scene, he is a part of it. Personal stories, historical anecdotes, and an immense knowledge of the city and all its music venues, coupled with a great storytelling ability, make this a not-to-miss experience. Bill makes Nashville come alive!

Bill's tour was by far the best part of our visit to Nashville. As a guide, he was engaging, warm, articulate and open to all questions. You get the feeling that each tour he gives is unique and customized, not only to the group's particular interests, but his own curiosity about the city's evolving music scene. Highly recommended!

Tour with a script or tour with an Expert, makes this an easy choice. Bill isn't a tour guide but a part of the Nashville experience as he has talked to pretty much every star to ever come to town. Throw in Ghost stories and other commentary and you have best tour of any city in America hands down.

Amazing! We enjoyed a very inmersing, interesting and detailed tour, full of fun facts and quirks. Also, very approachable: we didn't need to have a broad previous knowledge about the city in order to understand and enjoy the tour. Would definitely repeat if we go back to Nashville. Thanks Bill!!!
