"This review is about the pharmacy"
After my experience I decided to check the reviews and noticed A LOT of people have had the same issues with the pharmacy. I don't normally do reviews but I hope my imput here can get something done about this situation. I used to get my prescriptions from CVS, but they recently stopped taking my insurance. So, I had them all transferred over to Walgreens. I needed to get my birth control. The first time I went the tech at the desk told me my prescription was over $300 (it's usually $60). I said, that can't be right, can you check my insurance information? As I go to hand her my card info she just tells me rudely "uhm it's correct. You should give them a call" I said, okay, so I called them and they told me that everything should be okay. I went back today to get my prescription. I brought my insurance approval papers and my card in hand this time. I walk in, same rude tech lady as before. I asked her for my prescription. She gets it. Tells me again it's over $300. So I had her my card and tell her "can you MAKE SURE my insurance is correct?" She takes the card and stares at the computer for a minute checking ID numbers and such. Tells me "well, it's correct..." I said, "that makes no sense. I called them, they told me everything is fixed." She said "this is the price they gave us here..." I said, "okay well, last time this happened at CVS, they called my insurance for me and fixed it right away because it wasn't processesing through the computer. Can you call them for me?" This right here is what PISSED me off: She tells me "uhm... Well....no... Because this is the price they gave us...." Which made NO SENSE AT ALL! that's not even a reason not to call them! Then she just tells me "sorry...thank you" and walks away!! So I went to CVS seeing if they could give me any advice. They told me that Walgreens SHOULD call my insurance for me to fix it. I'm sure we were all dealing with the same rude woman. Do not go to this Walgreens for medication. They are rude and probably trying to scam customers! I've had a friend also say they refused to fix her insurance information before! Don't even bother calling them, they ignore phone calls too. No wonder the lines are always so short. No one wants to deal with the rude pharamcy staff!!!
UPDATE TO MY INITIAL REVIEW: I went to this Walgreen's this evening (October 2, 2023) at approximately 19:20 EST leaving forty minutes for the line to move far enough for my prescription to be picked up prior to the pharmacy's closing at 20:00 EST. I immediately left my car in the parking lot after discovering seven (7) cars ahead of me at the drive-up window. When I got inside the store, I was No. 10 in line to get to the prescription pick-up window. (A total of 17 customers were in line waiting to pickup prescriptions -- 7 outside + 10 inside.) ONE (1) and ONE (1) ONLY employee was handling the 17 customers at the inside prescription pickup window as well as at the driveup window. I was VERY worried about 20:00 EST coming and going prior to someone assisting me with the pickup of medication prescribed by my doctor. Once again, and as I have previously noted, this situation is symptomatic of one thing and one thing only: CORPORATE GREED. Corporate Walgreens is too STINGY to hire enough employees to service loyal customers. AND, as I have also said previously, the entire staff at this store (with the sole exception of one (1) individual who one told me a bald-faced lie and withheld medication which I desperately needed) in and of themselves, routinely go out of their way to render OUTSTANDING SERVICE to this store's customers. But NOTHING EXCEPT THE PROPER STAFFING OF THIS STORE can make this store function as a true asset to this community. Since that solution would entail a financial outlay which would undoubtedly entail trampling on solely monetary goals of CORPORATE GREED, I have few expectations. I truly wish I could say I think it will improve. But since it hasn't changed in at least five (5) years or so it probably will NOT change now. The personal efforts of the staff is the ONLY reason I keep returning. But, worked under that amount of pressure seen in this store, a BAD, perhaps as VERY BAD, mistake is bound to happen. AND, when it does the fruits of that CORPORATE GREED will most probably be collected by the wronged patient and a competent law firm dealing in personal injuries. C
I don’t write reviews unless they’re positive but I am so overwhelmingly frustrated, I can’t help myself. Every. Single. Time. I have to fill a prescription here, it’s something else. If it isn’t incredibly unhelpful customer service, it’s blatant disrespect from the pharmacists. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a pharmacy staff. I’m going on week 2 of not having my prescription filled (a very important daily medication mind you) because my insurance changed with the new year. I have called the insurance company multiple times, and each time they tell me that my 30 day supply generic should be 10 dollars. It has ALWAYS been 10 dollars. I go into Walgreens and the staff tells me it’s over 200. For generic! Of course at this point I’m upset because I have to take this medicine every day, so the pharmacist offers me a week supply at retail cost, which I paid obviously, but at an outrageous price. I go in a week later to pick up after speaking to several people over the phone to make sure that I’ve got the proper price now, and when I arrive at Walgreens, I’m informed that there’s nothing there for me and “they don’t know who I THINK I spoke to”. I’m so over it. The only reason I didn’t give one star is because the staff on the floor is lovely and I will continue to go there for my every day needs because I live right across the street, but I would rather risk my health and go without my medication than deal with that pharmacy ever again. No one should ever be made to feel like I do right now: completely forgotten and disregarded.
Read the one-star reviews here & assume they are being optimistic. I've never seen anything like this. 40-minute phone waits followed by a dialtone. A script that has been $6.00 every month, suddenly billed at $99.00 (second time it happened). It took 20 minutes before the pharmacist was able to correct it each time. Terribly understaffed. Got notified that 3 scripts were filled last week & went to pick them up that afternoon. They could only find 2. The tech was running around to 5 or 6 different locations before finally finding the last one while an openly hostile line was forming behind me. The poor tech was trying to work both windows & the drive-in at the same time. The last time this happened, a month before, I was notified that a script was filled only to arrive & find they hadn't filled it yet. CVS doesn't score much better in its ratings, with most of its one-star ratings for the pharmacy. Walmart & Publix both get far better ratings. Lately, Walmart has stopped all opioid dispensation. This looks like throwing out the baby with the bathwater - like trying to cut down on unnecessary hysterectomies by banning them even for people in need. They also, for some reason, have put over-the-counter Imodium (for diarrhea) behind the counter & under lock & key and won't sell more than 16 unit-dose pills at a time. Everywhere else, you can still buy large bottles over the counter. What up wid dat? Is constipation the new Ecstasy?
This review is about the pharmacy. ARE YOU PEOPLE SELLING INSULIN ON THE BLACK MARKET OR ARE YOU JUST COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT???! SERIOUS QUESTION! I feel like we are in the Twilight Zone! The first 3 years using this pharmacy wasn't too bad. It was busy but I got my prescriptions with few problems. In the past two years they've been messing up my insulin order. At first I didn't notice it but started noticing they were shorting me without saying anything. Twice they admitted it and gave me my insulin. The third time this happened they did nothing so I called the corporate office of Walgreens. Nothing changed. And it's only my insulin, never any other medication. Why is that??? It says online that I have a 30 day supply of insulin coming. I'm supposed to get a 90 day supply, so I call them and they say "Yes, it's a 90 day supply." Then the technician tells me my figures are wrong (I've been on insulin 20 years....), is trying to add it up and can't figure it out. Two people put me on hold and don't return. I call back and ask for a pharmacist and they don't answer. THEN my husband goes down there and they say "Yes, she's supposed to get a 90 day supply" and he comes home with a 30-day supply of insulin! We spent hours dealing with this and I have had it! I'm taking our business elsewhere but I'm calling corporate again AND the DEA! Something needs to be done about this pharmacy!
ONLY reason I’m giving a one star is because I have to!!! I just relocated here from South Carolina and this location is close to my home. I was prescribed a medication but unfortunately, the pharmacies in the area that accept my insurance are on back order for the medication. This pharmacy actually has it but doesn’t accept my insurance. I was able to fill the prescription and just pay out of pocket last month here. No biggie. Wrong!! Next month comes and the pharmacist with the rudest attitude gets on the line to tell me I CANT PAY CASH FOR THE MEDICATION ANY MORE!! He stated I have insurance so I need to go somewhere that accepts it. I explained no where in the area had it and I’m okay paying out of pocket and I was refused. Ive NEVER heard this!! There has been several times over the years where my insurance may not cover a medication and I have to pay out of pocket. If I’m willing to pay the outrageous price for the medication how is that affecting Walgreens or this rude pharmacist???!! I will be looking into getting information if this is some new policy or am I just being discriminated against!!! Will definitely update!!
The slowest and most unhelpful Walgreens I have ever been to. And I have been using them for 13+ years. It’s a shame, because I enjoy the store but the pharmacy here is terrible. They are always out of stock, the drive thru or walk in line, either way, expect at least an hour to drop off a prescription or pick it up. On top of that, if they don’t have it in stock, they will tell you that you could leave your prescription there, but not guarantee they would be able to find it in the 3 days it would take to get your medicine in. It is truly like they don’t want to have to fill it. They tell you to go down the street, but that they cannot call their SISTER store to see if they have it in stock so you could go there to get it filled. You cannot call a store for a controlled medication bc a store won’t give that out to patients. The worst customer service. So, instead of social distancing, they want you to drive around town to just find a store. Asking to lose business. This store has gotten progressively worse and worse. There are two sweet pharmacy techs there, but the pharmacists are awful.
As someone who used to be a lead pharmacy tech, this is by far the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Their phone hold times clock in over an hour and a half - ending in the calls being deleted. Drive through wraps around the building, leaving you to go into the store as the only option - only to still wait upwards of an hour. As a working parent of a toddler, this is difficult to manage. Beyond the wait times, they never actually fill your scripts. I ran out of a routine medication and was told to come back the next day as they had to order it. Understandable. However it took well over a week with being told the same prompt, and my prescription still wasn’t filled. I have worked the same Cardinal ordering systems, and I assure you that it is not difficult. The only way they wouldn’t have received medication is if they never actually ordered it in the first place. Transferring my entire family to a different pharmacy altogether.
Have been going to Walgreens for over 10 years and NEVER had a disturbing encounter like this. It first started with one associate trying to assist us with getting our photo then Juliane(manager) comes up telling us we would have to pay for it no matter what the situation would be. I presented a letter from passport office that the photo wasn’t legible and she proceeded that it’s my problem and I need to pay for another photo. After explaining to her my situation and then another associate by the name Manuel chimes in with rude comments with her. Instead of hearing me out they kept telling me that it’s my problem and they won’t do anything about it. Honestly I wouldn’t ever want to come back to Walgreens if this is how the customer service will be. I called another Walgreens and they were happy to help. This location really needs someone to come clean up the attitudes and rude manners these associates have presented.
I've recently moved over here and this is the closest Walgreens to me. I'm pretty disappointed and tried to at least see if my experience was like a one off situation. But after my third time coming to get my prescription the lines inside and at the drive through are pretty intense. My first visit I waited *at least* 30 minutes in the drive through and one of my prescriptions wasn't sent through for a refill when I called the automated line hours earlier. Second time, I was in the drive through again and waited maybe 15 minutes to get to the window, I see at least 10 people in line (in store). Today I go inside and I luckily didn't wait too long, but I was given the wrong prescription. I'm glad I asked her to tell me the name of it or else I wouldn't have realized until I got home! The phone wait times are also off the chain, but whoever manages the pharmacy definitely needs to help these people out...
Worst pharmacy EVER! READ ALL THE LOW REVIEWS... THOSE ARE THE HONEST ONES! They take Forever! ... Inside... Drive thru.... Doesn't matter which way you go... You'll still be waiting FOREVERRRR! and clearly btheu don't care because I read some of the other reviews and this has been going on for quite some time now! Oh and don't bother calling... They've NEVER answered the phone Everytime I tried calling! Last week I was so determined to get thru that I waited and waited dand waited... Everytime the hold time hit 25 minutes the line would disconnected... I called three times and same thing happened Everytime and that's when I eventually gave up... I really feel as though they are putting people's health at risk at this pharmacy... I will never be back to this location
I’ve been waiting on a prescription to be filled for 7 days now. The hang up?.....THE STAFF! I have been back to the pharmacy 2 times, and they say they can’t find anything. But, they have my phone number address, and insurance info. I could have bought the damn drugs on the black market faster than this Walgreens can fill a script. Save yourself the aggravation...go to another pharmacy!!! I even called corporate to complain....their response...go back to the pharmacy. Really corporate?! If corporate doesn’t care....why should we about your store? I say walk in and start dropping things all over the store, and then complain you can’t bend over to pick them up. Just make a mess. I can’t wait to go back and “accidentally” tear a family size bag of m&m’s.
to be honest, i don’t really care to do reviews. however i was extremely frustrated with my experience today. i made an appointment to receive the chicken pox vaccine and i also had to pick up a medication. I waited 20 minutes until someone acknowledged me. when i told them i had an appointment they were confused and told me that they didn’t have the vaccine. i told them their website told me they did and i was able to make an appointment and a tech responded by saying don’t use the website. i was frustrated but also asked if i could receive my prescription. the tech rudely responded “you can wait in line” and then proceeded to make me wait 20 more minutes to get my medicine. i understand this is a busy location, but the pharmacy is just a mess.
"Painfully Incompetent" at the pharmacy- EVERY visit. There truly hasn't been a single prescription pickup visit that hasn't accompanied with it some avoidable administrative failure and unwarranted delay. Whether the script was scanned incorrectly and "oops" laid on the pharmacist's counter and never filled; (or) text messages received during the workday that our scripts are ready to picked up, but "oops" discovered not to be filled when we make the commute to get them. "Oops", another unnecessary wait.. "Please be seated".. again. Walgreens needs "Workflow Process Overhaul and Training" in the pharmacy department. I just can't help to consider the inherent dangers of poor focus in a PHARMACY.
My flu prescription was sent to this pharmacy so I decided to call to check the status and although I had to be PATIENT and wait for 15minutes or more, the pharmacist was extremely helpful and kind. He apologied for not having that prescriotion in stock and offered to help to see if the nearby walgreens had it; after that he also offered to keep trying other Walgreens until finding one that has it. His customer service skills were above and beyond and at the end he gave me a solution to get my medication. Excellent experince! I really don't mind the hold time to speak to someone because I know they are going above and beyond to help another patient to get their much needed medication♡♡♡
I don't understand where all the bad reviews are coming from. For someone like me who typically prefers not to go to Walgreens because most of them have unprofessional staff, this place is one in a million. The pharmacist answers the phone as soon as you call, and anything u ask will be looked into with dilligence and care. They have no problem helping people, they never make you wait(over the phone or in person), and if something isn't right, they make it a priority to solve it for you, as oppose to most places that put you on hold or make you sit and wait while they forget about you. I make the trip to this Walgreens from out of town because of how selfless and caring everyone is
The pharmacy never answers their phone, they are never open on posted hours, the short pharmacist always has a bad attitude and acts like we need to be on her time, my daughter called to have her prescription filled and was told it would be ready by 5:30 pm on 05/28/2019 and my wife went to pick her medicine up at exactly 5:30 pm, they were close, went back this morning just to be told her prescription was not ready, this is a medicine she must take every morning and she had no urgency on getting it refilled for her. bad customer care, they dont care about you there at all, go to the other Walgreens down baymeadows, they take much better care of you there or better yet go to cvs.
Wanting to call the pharmacy with a general question or about the status of your prescription? TOO BAD!!!! I try calling at different times of the day and have had hold times of up to 40 minutes without even someone answering to say "please hold". Each time I also go there, the phone rings continuously and the pharmacy staff goes on about their day as if they don't hear it ring. Yes it's flu season, yes everyone MUST get their COVID shot, but it is atrocious to know you cannot call their pharmacy because their phone line is nonexistent. ** I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SWITCHING PHARMACIES IF YOU CURRENTLY GET YOUR MEDICATIONS FILLED AT THIS LOCATION **
I was not aware that I had to do the survey on the receipt within three days of that visit in order to give feedback on my experience so I am writing a review here! Lehy helped me with my insurance and finding the right discount card within my file to bring my total down to the correct price that I pay. Lehy... she was AWESOME. I have seen her there a lot and she is always so nice and calm. It could be very busy and people mad at her and being rude but she stays calm and smiles and REALLY tried everything she can to do the right thing for the customer. THANK YOU Lehy for taking your time and doing things the right way!! You are AMAZING!!
Went to the St Johns Bluff location at noon and they didn’t have the prescription available. They called it in to the Baymeadows location and said it would take an hour to fill. I waited until after 3, finally got to the window and spoke with the person who said it wasn’t ready. WHAT??? She asked me to wait. Ten to fifteen minutes later she asked me to circle the building because it still wasn’t ready yet. I understand getting other people to the window because my prescription isn’t ready. I don’t understand how it takes over three and a half hours to fill it, especially after being told it will take an hour. I WON’T BE BACK!
Worst pharmacy EVER! Dropped prescription off on Friday. They asked if I could pick it up Saturday. Went to go get it and was told it wasn't ready. Received a phone call on Sunday and was told it still wasn't ready. Went by on Monday to pick it up and was told they were "out of stock" for what I was trying to have filled. This is NOT the first time I've had a problem with this particular pharmacy. In general Walgreens has always been an efficient and friendly place to shop but this particular location is just awful. Don't even bother going through the drive-thru. You'll be there all day!!
The absolute worst pharmacy ever! Always expect a long wait no matter what time of day, even if you are just picking up your prescription. Don’t bother calling, as it’s been my experience the phone lines are down quite often. If you can get through you are placed on hold for an extended period of time and then the call disconnects. I have been with Walgreens for years and have never experienced such a disconnect in customer service. This locations standards for customer service at the pharmacy has gone down like the titanic within the last year. I am done! One star is way too much.
Blake the pharmacist is awesome. He is the friendliest, most helpful person you'd ever wanna meet. Goes out of his way to help you , incredibly knowledgeable, will help you find everything your looking for and has helped up out of many situations, his recommendations are perfect, and you just couldn't ask for a better person to help you. All of the associates at this Walgreens are excellent, we kept this location as our primary even though we moved several miles away and passed about 8 other Walgreens to get to this one. Again Blake , Ben and all staff are phenomenal people !!!
If I call in and have to talk to somebody in the pharmacy department, it is at least a 15 minute wait. Today I waited over 30 minutes before I gave up and called back later. I don't know if they are understaffed, just that slow or don't care. Drive through pick up isn't much better. It consistently averages 5 minutes per car. If it wasn't that my insurance only uses Walgreen and this store is so close to my house, I would never go there. Also, if I have a pending prescription due to date, I ALWAYS have to call and remind them that it is time to refill it.
Writing this review as this has happened multiple times (at least 10) between my medication and my sons medication (his includes insulin). This location will tell me they have it. Give me a pick up time, and when I go to pick it up - they suddenly don’t have it. They also didn’t bother to try to get it from another Walgreens. I’m officially done with this Walgreens. I was only still using them for the medications I can’t get via express scripts. They obviously can’t keep up with their inventory. Complete lack of patient care here.
Found everything I was looking for. Tons of options. A bit of a mark up, but I guess that's the premium for not wants to drop down & shop a dollar store and not wanting to go across the street to a major grocery store or down the Blvd to a huge Walmart!! 5.49 for pint of ice cream (2/5$ sales often times), great deal of household stuff. Nice chip and cookie selection, major name brands + their private brand. Check for the "As Seen On Tv" section. Be sure to check the weekly sales ad & use your CVS rewards card each visit!
Literally IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of ANYONE at this pharmacy! I completely understand many places being understaffed currently, but this is RIDICULOUS. I have been calling 3 days straight now to straighten out an apparent issue with my refill. THey leave you on hold until the line eventually disconnects. I call right back and the same thing repeats all day. 3 days and COUNTLESS HOURS ON HOLD and still have not spoke to anyone. This is not the first time either. Definitely switching pharmacies after this.
I was given a coupon at the pharmacy for $5 off if I spent $1 or more in the store. So I spent 15 minutes looking for things to buy. When I went to checkout I was told that it was only good 10 days later. Nice sentiment. I bout the items and threw away the coupon and will not fall for that again. I take responsibility for not looking at the coupon. But, what a waste of time if I have to come back to get the reward. This has created the opposite effect of the goodwill it was intended to create.
I would rather eat a hot bag of garbage than wait on the phone with the pharmacy for an hour+ while the staff sits around scratching their asses. If they don't pick up the phone and hang it up first... I'm just trynna get my medicine so I don't die. The other people who work in the store are very nice. Everyone in the pharmacy should be sent to Guantanamo where they are subjected to the CIA's music torture featuring their own hold music playing on repeat for 30+ hours. Negative 12 stars
I just started going to this Walgreens recently. Other Walgreens nearby are pretty terrible with employee going in and out so fast I barely see familiar faces each time I go there, both pharmacy and store. Associates in this store are so much customer caring and responsible than the other ones! The lady associate I think her name is Essa she’s got such positive attitude and she tries her best to meet customers needs. The manager I believe her name is also very responsible and friendly.
By far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my life. After 6 months going here had to switch because all prescriptions were always delayed by 3-4 weeks and being a type 1 diabetic, I can’t wait 3-4 weeks for my medications. Getting in touch with anyone from the pharmacy department is always impossible and will will answer the phone to say “please hold” then hang up on you every single time. Customer service is poor. Would not recommend this Walgreens to anyone.
Wish I could give this store 0 stars to the pharmacy staff with the exception of 1 man. Prescriptions are rarely available & if they have them you wait forever to have them filled. They refuse to text or email on pick-ups and the female pharmacy staff is the rudest, snappiest people & really need jobs behind closed doors. Front check-out staff is always nice however the women working in the pharmacy are beyond the rudest people I've ever encountered.
I'm giving two stars and not just one because I checked the website for the availability of a certain product and they had it. However, the cashier and other employee were too busy talking about reality TV to acknowledge my existence. Didn't even say my total out loud. I had to ask. Didn't thank me after I thanked her. Come on, now. There are tons of pharmacies in Jacksonville. I can choose somewhere else a few hundred feet away. Make an effort.
The new employee at the checkout (older Black man with glasses and bald head) is VERY rude and unprofessional. Everytime I go there he looks at my nasty and doesn’t ask me if I’m a myWalgreens member or tell me my total or say have a good day or anything. He need to change his attitude or they need to hire someone else cause he’ll make people not want to go to this Walgreen. The store is convenient though and has a wide variety of items.
This is where I go to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy is always pretty quick about getting your meds to you in a timely fashion, especially if you are waiting. They even took the time to look up my insurance when I switched providers and forgot to bring my card. Once when checking out, the cashier ringing me up used a pen I just purchased to circle a survey on my receipt. I very particular about my pens and did no appreciate that.
This is ridiculous I been trying for 2 days to speak with some one in the pharmacy to refill a prescription that’s has to be called in. Can’t get through. Is anyone working in the pharmacy??? They should be ashamed of themselves not answering the phone. After being on hold each day for an hour I just give up.All you get is the automated system saying we’re sorry for keeping you waiting it’s one caller ahead of you. Just ridiculous. SMH
If I could give this pharmacy ZERO stars I would. They never have enough people working and I ALWAYS have to wait in line at LEAST 20 minutes without fail. The lines inside and at the drive thru are always so ridiculous. And don’t even bother trying to call in unless you call RIGHT when the open or you’ll be on hold for over an hour and then be hung up on when they finally do answer your call. HORRIBLE. Absolutely hate this place.
As everyone else says the wait times for pharmacy are absolutely redunkulous. The drive thru always has 3-4 cars ahead of you and inside will be 5+ people deep. I really feel bad for the one pharmacy tech they have working here but the result is patients don't have access to the meds they need. Walgreens needs to step up and hire help at this location to keep up with demand and ensure timely prescription fulfillment. .
Walks in two employees talking at counter then they separate. Me standing there in line; No assistance, no acknowledgment. Lady employee looks at me turns back to do something else. Guy employee turns back is now stocking shelf. No assistance! Waited 2 min before i asked guy is there someone who can help me. Guy says, oh she can. Just horrible service all around i’m sure that is why there is 2 stars on this location.
Pharmacy will not serve inside hours posted. My wife walked up to the counter at 9:45 PM. Hours say the pharmacy closes at 10:00 PM. It's truly not a problem that the pharmacy needs to close before posted hours. The issue comes when the pharmacist says to my wife, "Can't you see the lights are off? They turn off this time every night." Congratulations! You are successful at being a D-hole! What else are you good at?
Was to the front of the line the tech asked me to get out of line and pull back around because my prescription wasn't ready but I received a phone call requesting pick up. Then to get in back in line behind 3 cars after I was already to the front only to wait 23 minutes behind the 1st to the 2nd car in front of me. Which clearly the sane wait could have been performed for me. Changing pharmacies asap. Never again
Probably the worst and least helpful pharmacy staff I have ever dealt with. They're actions and behavior indicates to me that they do not care for their customers at all. I write this review not from only one experience but from many! I have used this pharmacy from May '17 to May '18, I gave them a year, hoping for improvement, no such luck. Save yourself frustration and headache, find another pharmacy!
Michael or something answered the phone and when I asked if they had an antacid like Tums in stock he said I had to call the Pharmacy? So I informed him it’s over the counter and not something they would need to handle, at which point he proceeds to pretend he can’t hear me then quickly hangs up. Dude, if you’re too lazy and useless to walk over and look, just say so, you don’t have to act like a fool.
This is the absolute worst pharmacy with the longest wait times and some of the most terrible customer service I’ve received. You’ll be on hold for 30 minutes every time you call and wait at least 15 minutes at the drive through window before anyone even picks up the phone to talk to you. Avoid this pharmacy if possible. I’ve given them chance after to chance only to have the problems repeat each time.
I love to give the five star reviews....I just can’t do it for this pharmacy. I dropped off four simple prescriptions for a cold at 11:30 AM , today. It is now 1:51 PM and I’m trying to find out if it’s ready. I have been on hold three times for 20 minutes each. After 20 minutes they just hang up on you! Terrible customer service. Plus, I’m tired of hearing Janet Jackson sing the the same song!
Worst Walgreens I’ve ever visited. Especially the Pharmacy department. They are unprofessional to say the least. Lady in pharmacy had a mouth that belongs in a ranch in the middle of the field. came in for a booster shot and the have such a mess with the appointments. If you cannot find another Walgreens, get ready to be put off with your appointment as well as over an hour and a half wait…
Tried for over two hours to contact some one to have my prescription refilled. Their recorded messenging service never ended up with me being able to speak with a staff member or being able to leave a voice mail. Eventually ( an hour and a half later) the call was deleted. Still I need to have my prescription refilled and Walgreens is not helping me. Their phone system is futile!
I literally watched a lady write bad checks in line. She had a paper printed drivers license and wrote a check 40over then was about to leave then said oh wait I need cigs then wrote another check 40 over again! I mean??? Not to mention I go to drop off a script 30 min before it closes and they tell me they are closed already and shut down??? Never again going to Walgreens.
Worst pharmacy ever. After waiting over an hour and being hung up on multiple times, someone finally answered the phone. They told me my prescription would be ready in an hour. I went to pick up 3 hours later and was told it was not ready and to go back through the drive thru line. Another hour wait for 3 cars to go through until I could finally pick up my prescription.
They never answer the phone! I am on hold 20 minutes right now on my other line during a low busy time! Always like this. They should have had my script ready for pick up (post surgery!) yesterday but still now text telling it's ready. Can't get through on phone grrr. 25 min on hold. I'm telling doc again to please send scripts to Baymeadows location. Worth the drive!
Drove from orange park to this location to pick my prescription up because I work in that area so i dropped it off and when I came to pick it the next day after a 30 min drive I come to find out pharmacy was closed since 6pm so what are their times and it would be nice to call people so they are aware so that they can come and pick their items up . VERY DISAPPOINTED
Terrible customer service. Careful pharmacist does not know what she is doing. Screwed up my insurance who had been paying for a drug all along until the decided I could use a different form and generic. Then they refused to correct their mistake and I was left to go 3 days without a medication. Until I get new script since they wrote over the doc instructions...
Pharmacy staff is odd and Manager not show up!! Filled medication partial and not informed and there is no note in their records. One pharmacist told it will be refilled and after 2 days they told no records again. Another call made and they told to come and collect refill with bringing old bottle and they told manager not in store, you can come tomorrow.
The most poorly managed pharmacy ever! Wait times are awful, they don't have scripts ready on time. Trying to reach them by phone is futile. Its sad that a large chain pharmacy like this can't do better. Had a script for 3 meds they filled 2 then called an old doc in another state about the 3rd had to wait over an hr for them to fix the mess they made.
The drive thru is pretty quick. However, for the third month in a row (and not counting other months prior) they did not have the meds to fill my script. Usually it is filled in about 24hrs or worst case less than 48hrs. Last week I had to wait 5 days for said medication to come in stock whilst I was completely out and sick most of this time.
I was hung up on twice while on hold. I finally got a hold of a pharmacy tech, then he put me on hold until 9PM (when the pharmacy closes). This ordeal lasted well over an hour. I just wanted to know if my prescription medication was back in stock. This isn’t even new. It would be less of a hassle in the long run just to switch my pharmacy.
Yesterday and today prescription was called in, both are antibiotics, yesterday wasn't able to get medication till 5pm. The new antibiotic was called in early today, its now 530pm , its still not ready, I definitely will be moving my account to another pharmacy. I have never had a pharmacy take so long to fill prescription in my life.
Terrible service. Every time. Then when I get home with an injection script there are no syringes. So I call and I'm told I have to purchase them, that should have been told to me when I picked up the script. Now I have to go back and purchase syringes for an injection script. And the person I spoke with was extremely rude, as usual.
Worst Walgreens I have been to. Just went through surgery and prescriptions were supposed to be ready by the time I left the hospital. I called to make sure they were ready before I came to pick them up and they said give them another hour and a half. Get there and then waited 2 more hours. Wish I could rate this place negative stars
The Female pharmacist and Female Techs are the nastiest of the Southside. Sorry that is how it is, one has been especially nasty for 4 years I only go here because of my insurance. It's truly a horrible pharmacy with covid kind of waits still, because they are incredibly incompetent. Ben and Blake are always great.
Staff was extremely rude. Needed atleast what I thought simple answers but that was too hard for them. I called and asked to speak to the store manager and the “store manager” answered the phone laughing and then was short with me. I’ll take my business elsewhere where I’m treated with more respect as a customer.
I would like to say that the customer service today was beyond great. I had a photo order that had to be completed quickly and the system was not working right. The gentlemand that answered the phone stayed on the phone with me until the order came thru on his end. He went above and beyond in order to help me.
Jessica- this store manager called me and was extremely rude because I made a complaint. There's a reason they have a 2.1 rating. They treat customers however rudely they wish, hang up on on patients when they wish, and refuse to identify themselves. Horribly rude staff and store manager (jessica) . BEWARE
I called, sat on hold. Drove to the Walgreens and was still on hold until I pulled up to the window. During that call the staff would answer and put me on hold. This happened three times. Please hire people because this is negligent. Especially when my 1 year old has severe allergies and needs his epi-pen.
Employees love to ask you the old "Can I help you?" question.. but they actually mean.. (you look like your going to steal something).. If you enjoy dealing with being watched like a hawk because the managers seem to be more worried about thier bottom line, then the happiness & respect of their customers.
Please update the pharmacy hours under the hours section labeled "Pharmacy Hours" instead of half hazardly adding them to the "About" section. This will allow people to access the pharmacy when it is open instead of trying to go 2 hours late because of the incorrect information posted on Google.
Just wow. I have spent almost 2 hours trying to get into contact with someone at the store, specifically the pharmacy. Each time at 25 minutes it hangs up on me. So I call the main store line to get ahold of the manager, and same thing except at the 5 minute mark it hangs up. WHAT IN THE WORLD.
Make a quick stop for snacks a Redbull. Very convenient off the highway exit.. I was in & out with the nice staff there. Someone was holding up the line with some coupons and questions, but the cashier quickly called for backup. Next person arrived with a smile and took care of us. Good job!
....wow. pharmacy staff. Sucks. No updates. Just had a root canal. I go here to pick up the prescription pills for the inflamed gums... told me 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later and they dont even update me on anything. They have no problem updating their other waiting customers. But me ohhh nooo.
Just spent over 55 minutes on hold with the pharmacy. 55 minutes with NO contact with a human. All to find out that they just never updated my meds- they were out of stock and the rest came in today but I had to sit on hold for an hour before I could ask them to please get my meds ready.
I believe the problem with this pharmacy is the lack of employees. There needs to be more employees handling customers. Every single time I go, there is one person serving the drive through, the phones, AND the counter. The pharmacy employees are visibly STRESSED and I don't blame them!
Blake and Gina are the best. Very efficient, very patient no matter how busy it is. I also like that, I believe it’s Blake that researches your medications to make sure that you have no issue taking any medications. I think they are a super team as well individually all great!
Pathetic pharmacy service. They don't give medicines as per ordered date or time, infact they don't even care to call you and remind about the delay. The lady at the pharmacy doesn't look apologized for not giving us a reminder call and totally ignorant.
The absolute best Walgreens in the country. Great deals. Fantastic people working there. My recommendation: pick up a few bucks, pick out a couple of Arizona teas, then some $1 Lays Stax, and a couple of packs of Nice! cookies. It’ll all cost under $5.
Simply terrible; zero customer service, drive thru wait times 25-30 min. minimum. If you call in, expect to wait on the phone at least 30-45 min. and get disconnected. Add to that incompetent, unmotivated staff.....and you get a perfect trifecta.
Zero stars needs to be an option for this location. Staff is young, immature unprofessional and unable to do their job. Management is never present. I'm beyond dissatisfied with the customer service. Needless to say, never shopping here again.
Writing this as a concerned customer and mother. Been coming to this location since I moved here 4 years ago. This is probably the worst Walgreens I've come across. Lines are always long! Workers are extremely slow! And Service is usually
This store got two (2) stars instead of the mandatory one (1) solely due to the fact that there is an OUTSTANDING manger of the pharmacy in this store to whom Walgreen's management above his pay grade has assigned an impossible task given
MORTIFYING!! I've been undergoing major dental work for the past 6 months and for the 3rd time today I was denied my pain scripts at this pharmacy. In July I was told they were having "issues" with their "system". No real explanation. I
The staff at this location is always so helpfu . I always struggle with uploading photos and printing them. But every time I come in they take the time to help. With out being frustrated with me I have always had a good experience here.
The staff is so rude and ignorant. Definitely need some new employees in the evening! Liz and the crew in the evening are horrible! The cashier couldn’t even count the correct change back to the customers. Do better Walgreens!!
Their pharmacy has to be the worse I have seen. Extremely slow, inefficient, told to stand in line, even though they offer making appointments in advance. It was the worst experience I have ever had and do not recommend them.
Every time I go in here the cashier always treat me like a criminal... I went to load 200 on my debit card she asked for I.d counted my money 3 times and laugh when I asked her is checking i.d for a debit card a new policy...
Blake and the pharmacy staff, have gone above and beyond in trying to assist while I was there from out of town and needing a prescription. Everyone was very helpful and kind during this challenging process. Thank you!
Someone keeps answering and putting it back on hold. You could at least say “hey please give me a moment” or something. You’d think with all these reviews saying the SAME THING that someone would update this method.
Sat in drive thru line over 30 minutes to pick up a script. I mean at what point do you just staff up and handle it vice letting one lone pharmacy tech handle that amount of volume of cars ?! C’mon Walgreens. …
My doctor wasn't going to be in office until Tuesday and I had no idea what I was going to do about my medicine. The head pharmacist on staff today assisted me and truly turned my entire day around. Thank you Sir.
Both times I went in it was horrible. Terrible customer service. Stupid management. I hate Walgreen's period. CVS is much better. Why can I buy milk with a Walgreens gift card but I can buy cereal? Wow loosers!!!
Every. Single. Time. I visit this drive-thru pharmacy I am waiting in line for 20mins+. Are your pharmacy technicians having a dinner party? This location needs to figure out a more efficient way to run things.
Do yourself a favor and skip filling your prescriptions here. I have tried calling multiple times and no one ever answers. I waited on hold for over an hour and still no answer. The workers are slow and rude.
The new layout inside the store is an eye sore . I liked the layout they had before they had the clinic inside . The new layout doesn't even look like a pharmacy . It looks like a warehouse or storage unit .
The worst pharmacy service ever!!!!! Always giving patients hardtime. Ive been filling my prescruption for over 2 years thete .now the pharmacist said no water mark on my prescription. Always something!!!
Just visited with my significant other on mother's day, the cashier was extremely rude to the point it made her cry. We we're frequent visitors before today but will be taking our business elsewhere.
It is an amazing place Im not just saying that because my sister works here but the customer service is amazing and I love going there every time I go to cvs they never even say hi welcome to cvs
This is the worst pharmacy of any of Walgreens, I travel and every time I need to fill meds I've been on for ten years, I am given a hard time. People that travel should avoid this location.
1 hr 45 min wait because covid shots are more important than regular customers? And they ALL CAME AFTER I WAS TOLD TO SIT AND WAIT!! NOPE YOU LOST A GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER!!
Worst place ever. I waited for 15min on the pick up line to be told that was only 1 line even though they have 2 windows and a cord in between separating the lines.
This walgreens pharmacy has the worst turn around time of any walgreens I've used. Every time I have to go, I'm at the pharmacy so much longer than I expect.
Walgreens doesn’t deserve even one star. They don’t respect any scheduled appointments. Over 1 hour waiting for scheduled appointment. Shame on you!
Never met any employee that wasn't courteous! Pharmacy department answers my questions and directs me to OTC meds that meet my needs.
