I’m not sure if we hit a bad night or a bad cook but based on our experience here tonight do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Jeanne’s Pizza Pantry is 10 blocks down 17th and literally some of the best pizza in the city. First our Greek salad, well supposed to be Greek salad, came with Italian dressing. That’s right Italian dressing for a Greek salad. Like Kraft Italian.. So while in renovations at our home, everything all over the place and we are exhausted, hungry, long day, I had to scramble around and try to make a Greek dressing from scratch with what I could find. Greek salad is supposed to come with a home made Greek dressing that’s savoury and perfect for that salad. Second, insane overdose of feta cheese on the salad, I know sounds good right!? It’s not. The salt content alone and then adding dressing made the salad nearly unbeatable, there was not a single spot on any one piece of vegetable that didn’t have feta cheese - you can have too much of a good thing. But…, we were starving and had worked all day and forced it in with lots of water to rinse the palate after. We took pictures of the salad as we eat Greek salad a lot and have never seen this before, and what you see for cheese in the photos is what hasn’t broke down and is in the dressing. It was far toooo much. It’s supposed to be a nice compliment in the Greek salad not the salad drowned in it. The pizza, one was good, not great, just okay - they both arrived luke warm, the villiage special was the ok one, thin crust, decent amount of topping but cold. The pepperoni however was terrible we actually tossed the pizza out. Unlike the Villiage special the crust on the pepperoni was super thick and was uncooked in the middle, literally soft gooey dough from about an inch from the tip all the way to the crust, about two pieces of pepperoni per slice, and even less cheese. That’s worth $20 some dollars? When all you want is a good meal after a challenging and long day and this is what you get for your money, it’s so disappointing, we are all left feeling hungry still and very unsatisfied. Call Jeanne’s or Nikos, or 4th Street or Connie and Johns or anywhere else but here so you too are not left feeling this way.

We tried this as a part of pizza week in Calgary. We ordered the Villages Special and the Mediterranean pizzas. Ordering was easy on their website. It was ready on time for pick-up and it looks like they only do pick-up or delivery. Both pizzas looked hearty with lots of ingredients. We had the classic crust and the pizza was cooked right through (which can be a problem with loaded pizzas) but Villages Pizza had this nailed on out order. From the first bite we noticed it wasn't as salty as some pizzas - a bonus for people watching their sodium intake. Our friend finds even mildly spicy food difficult (that's why we got the Mediterranean) and she found both pizzas delightful. I like a bit more zing and flavour and I found them to be a bit bland. I tried a sprinkle of cider vinegar on the Special and a dollop of balsamic reduction for dipping with the Mediterranean and these additions just kicked it up a notch. Villages Pizza has a discount for the second pizza. I can see how it would be great for larger crowds especially if you are buying for kids. Its easy to have some hot pepper flakes, pickled banana peppers or balsamic reduction on the side for those who want it.

Was looking forward to trying this pizza place as we live in the area. Ordered through a delivery app on a weeknight. It was extremely slow, which I can't put on the restaurant but I feel like our food was sitting there for a while. Upon opening the box I was surprised that this pizza cost what it did. It was nothing special. Heated it up in the oven.The pizza we got was absolutely underwhelming, quite disappointing actually. It didn't even look like the other pizza in the pictures here and the wings were black ...like not just burnt... black. Was not a good experience, won't be trying this place again. Rated it in the app but never expected anything to come of it. I'm not sure if we got a bad night or what but ....we're not picky people .This was just "food" at best.

Horrible service and pizza. We ordered a large pizza and paid extra for extra toppings and they still didn't put more. The pizza was inedible and just plain gross. Called the management of Villages pizza about the order mess up. Rather than trying to regain trust and offering a redo (as this was the second disappointing order) they offered a free item on my next order. If I'm going to be spending money at an establishment I want to ensure I'm getting a good product otherwise I'll go somewhere else The mangers on the phone continued to argue with me about the offer and then actually hung up on me. They lost 3 customers and don't seem to care to fix their issues. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS VILLAGES LOCATION. I will be posting bad reviews on other sites as well.

Villages is under new ownership as of spring of 2023. Under the previous ownership, this place was the neighborhood hidden gem to grab your choice of a super-fresh, high-quality slice of pizza from the counter display, to go. Now, not at all. The two times this month I have given it a chance to get a slice to go, I've been given one option: a piece of bland, pepperoni-on-bread-and-nothing-else, stale wedge. New owners are at least friendly folk, and I'm sure if you ordered a whole pizza it would probably be good, hence my two stars instead of one. The previous ownership's amazing, ready-to-go fresh slices will be missed dearly.

I've been going to Villages Pizzas for a couple years now, because they're close to where I work. I like Villages Pizza because they're more creative compared to the two other pizza places I like. More sauce, lighter on the toppings, lighter on the cheese, so you notice the taste of the ingredients better. Today I was craving vegetables, so I ordered something on the menu with artichoke hearts and onions. It was exactly what I needed that day! Plus they're really nice, work really hard, and asked me politely if I would give them a good review :-)

Hands down the best pizza in the area! Highly recommend this place. Been driving by it for a while and finally made it in. Couple things worth noting…pizza is amazing!! Fresh, delicious and if the highest quality ingredients. Place was clean and welcoming. The most noteworthy thing however was the staff. The guys went the extra mile to offer me the freshest slices they could. I over heard them speak about not playing their music so everyone felt welcome, which speaks highly about their customer service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving this place a try.

Our car got stuck in front of this pizza store and we decided to try the pizza as we were hungry and after eating the pizza we literally felt like it is the best pizza in the town and the management was very friendly, this is the first pizza store we have seen so clean . So, they deserve 5

Hey Calgarians ! This is the must try pizza location. Fresh feel atmosphere, most friendly management/owners. I tried their Buffalo chicken, meat lovers, and preogi pizza. And belove me my whole family loved it. This is our new pizza place to go. Crust is perfect cheese is perfect and toppings full. I loved it and recommended to all.

I ordered 18 pizzas as a delivery for my trucking company. These guys did an amazing job. New owners are amazing, friendly. Pizza arrived hot full of topping and cheese. Darn! We were hoping for better, but the pizza was simply meh and forgettable. On a side note, we ordered via a meal delivery service and the 'za was left on our doorstep without the driver ringing the doorbell on a cool night. I don't own a cellphone, so wasn't following the order. We heard the car drive off and questioned if the pizza was here. It was (of course, no fault of Villages). We're going to pizza elsewhere (though thank you for the free slice card attached to our order!!!)

BEST DAMN PIZZA IN THE WEST, HANDS DOWN. Prices are reasonable, nearly 25% less than other places for the same pizza. Villages pizzas are soooooooooo DEEEE-licious.. amazing service and the pizzas easily good for a couple of meals. We've tried places like Bravo and similar and much better flavor, fresh ingredients, real smoked bacon, veggies crunchy, thickness and crust is addictive. Well done Villages.. can't wait for the next one!

I literally don't know where all of these good reviews are coming from. Worst tasting pizza and wings ive had. The chicken wings are literally chewy, like you can't eat them.. I've never had chicken like that. we just tossed them unfortunately. I also got pineapple on my pizza! But I never ordered pineapple lol. There's much better options if you want a yummy pizza night with your fam.

Probably some of the best pizza be the slice I have ever had. I can't wait to order a full pizza from here. Kind staff great pizza. Apparently the pizza was cut improperly so they gave me two slices for the price of one. Has an old school pan pizza feel with quality ingredients. Incredible!

Our whole family loves Villages Pizza. The pizza is amazing, this is now our go to pizza place! The staff is always helpful and friendly. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! We had the Pepperoni & Bacon and the All Canadian. Looking forward to trying the others!

Pizza was just OK, Might have to try it again to see how there can be so many amazing reviews here maybe we just got a couple bad ones. The sauce lacked flavour and the crust seemed average. Ordered for Super Bowl party and others weren't overly impressed either.

I ordered 2 large pizzas. We split flavours so we got to try 4 different flavours, which was very nice! Tried the philly cheese steak, pierogi, pepperoni and bacon with mushroom, and Italian sausage special. Very good pizza, solid crust. Enjoyed all the flavours.

The happiest day of my life was when I realized villages opened a second store closer to my house! I used to have to drive 25 minutes to the north location for my favourite pizza (worth it! Now the philly cheesesteak pizza is gonna be a weekly staple in my diet.
