I recently had the pleasure of visiting Victorian Gardens Shopping Centre, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The location of the mall is fantastic, situated in a vibrant and easily accessible area, making it convenient for both locals and tourists alike. The food court at Victorian Gardens is definitely a highlight. It offers a wide range of culinary options to cater to various tastes and preferences. From fast food chains to ethnic cuisines and gourmet delights, there is something for everyone. I was impressed by the quality and variety of food available, and the dining experience was enjoyable. When it comes to clothing stores, Victorian Gardens offers a diverse selection of brands and styles. Whether you're looking for high-end fashion or affordable everyday wear, you'll find it here. The range of options caters to different budgets and fashion preferences, making it a one-stop destination for all your clothing needs. The presence of supermarkets within the shopping centre is an added convenience. It allows shoppers to easily pick up groceries and other essentials while they are already there. The supermarkets are well-stocked and provide a pleasant shopping experience. The atmosphere at Victorian Gardens is welcoming and inviting. The mall is spacious, well-lit, and beautifully designed. The layout is easy to navigate, and there are ample seating areas for shoppers to rest and relax. The surroundings of the shopping centre are also attractive, with well-maintained landscaping and pleasant outdoor spaces. Parking at Victorian Gardens is ample and hassle-free. There are plenty of parking spaces available, and the parking facilities are well-maintained and secure. I didn't have any trouble finding a spot during my visit, which added to the convenience of my shopping experience. Regarding transport options, Victorian Gardens is well-connected. It is easily accessible by public transportation, with bus stops and train stations and traams located nearby. The hours of operation at Victorian Gardens are also accommodating. The mall stays open for extended hours, allowing shoppers to visit at their convenience. Whether you're an early bird or prefer to shop in the evenings, you'll find the mall open and ready to serve your needs. Throughout my visit, I noticed that the mall was kept impeccably clean. The common areas, restrooms, and stores were all well-maintained and tidy, creating a pleasant environment for shoppers. For those looking for a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely dining experience, the cafes and restaurants at Victorian Gardens offer a great variety. From cozy coffee shops to trendy eateries, there is a wide range of options available to suit different tastes and moods. This shopping centre is home to some fantastic department stores. These stores offer a vast selection of products across various categories, including home goods, electronics, beauty, and more. It's a great place to find everything you need under one roof. I always find my experience at Victorian Gardens is incredibly positive. The location, food court, clothing stores, supermarkets, atmosphere, surroundings, parking, transport options, hours of operation, cleanliness, cafes, restaurants, and department stores all contributed to a delightful shopping experience. A small shopping centre with a Coles supermarket, a Bakers Delight bakery, a fresh fruit & veg green grocer, butcher, a small food court. Upstairs there's a Village cinema, and a medical centre. Maybe I don't get out enough but I can't recall shopping centres including a dr's office. But it's a good thing, couldn't hurt. Mightn't be a bad idea for future shopping centres to include one also?! Anyway, there's a j.b. hifi, and another gaming shop, Platypus shoes, k-mart, Supre, Cotton On Kids, Cotton On, a book store, a cobbler/key cutter, a discount variety store, chemist, hair salon and other's. Not to mention the best IKEA out!!! Great place to shop, catch a movie, or just grab a coffee with a friend. If you're looking for a multi-level shopping centre with absolutely everything then you may be disappointed. Vic Gardens has more of a homely, personal touch.

The food court was amazing, I went to Coles for groceries,it turned out to to be a one-stop shopping experince. They have other stores around them;the butchery, seafood, wine and bakery stores were right there and they(Cole) let me use their shopping cart to go to all the other wine store and bakery etc. I also got their latte before I started shopping, which made for a relaxing shopping experience, I also went to Kmart with that cart and out of the shopping mall to my Uber ride Worked perfect for my first time tourist experience.Really nice girls at the "Cotton on" store, not so friendly at the Seed clothing store, they're all stuck up and ignore customers and their prices are through the roof!

The Ikea store in this mall is the closest to CBD and is right next to tram station. Take 109 for CBD for this and will reach in 20 minutes. The store is superb and meets the need if every person both by choice or options and by price for every home needs this is more of less a one stop shop for quality products. And the best part is the quality and catalogue remains the same across the globe .. if you have visited any other store of ikea anywhere else in the world you k ow how to shop and where to go in the shop. Cot a first time visitor. Keep an on the ground for your way out .. if not you will be lost.

"I recently visited the Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre and I was impressed with the variety of stores available. From fashion to electronics, there's something for everyone here. The mall is well-maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food court is also great with plenty of options to choose from. Parking is ample and there are lots of amenities like restrooms and ATMs conveniently located throughout the mall. Overall, I had a great shopping experience here and I would definitely recommend this mall to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop for all their retail needs."

  • Willow Clohesy

Good overall shopping centre. Not as large as others centres though. The food court has a good range of fast food and take-away options. Good range of different shops sush as; Ikea, Kmart, Coles, Toscanos, Sports Girl and others. I have however notices a few shops going such as Diaso which was a great store to have there and Sushi Hub. There is a nice seating area outside, cinema and a decent amount of parking. Good for general groceries and smaller shopping visits, however would not recommend overall if you are looking to spend a day looking at a range of different stores.

  • Kodi Tharma

Horrible and Unfair parking system/rates. It's basically robbery to charge $8 for 5 hours when they provide FREE parking for 4 hours when you shop at IKEA. I spent $1000 at IKEA and was delayed by an hour. I offered to pay for the extra hour but they charge you for the WHOLE 5 hours, apparently it's the 'rules'. That's just ridiculous!!!!! If you offer the first 4 hours free then atleast have a justifiable system to charge for the extra hour ONLY. You are just making money off innocent customers.

  • Michael

Went to IKEA to do some research on a project we are about to start and saw that parking is "free" for the first hour or so we started browsing upon leaving we asked the staff in IKEA about the free parking they informed us that you needed to spend $6.50 or more in order to claim the "free parking" we choose to just pay the $1 parking instead but found the entrance sign to be a little misleading so wanted to let other potential customers know.

  • Timothy Barber

Its all there is up here. But its a toy of a shopping 'centre'. Not enough and too early to close. Security is intrusive and chock full of brown boys filled with ego and needy for hero moves on poor, sick, hungry, not right in the head heroin enthusiasts. Especially Blonde, well dressed, polite and articulate H hobbyists. Who tend to write rambling reviews on Google; Data collecta or whatever this is. Who ever reads this stuff, anyways...

  • John Kingsford

We needed to go there to get some things from Ikea. Decided to have some morning tea there, found there was very limited place to sit down and have a coffee. There were a couple attached to Ikea, and an express type place. There was no coffee shop where one could just sit and relax, and enjoy a morning coffee. We found this very odd considering the location of the centre, and the general demographic of the area.

  • Thomas Liontis

It's passable for the Richmond area I suppose, the selection of shops is decent for a medium sized shopping centre, but it doesn't have much else separating it from the mass of others, aside from the IKEA, as that appears to be the main reason why you'd come here in the first place. Also you would think that this place would have multiple floors of shops, but it doesn't, it's only reserved for one store.

  • K

I liked this shopping centre. There are alot of stores and decent stock levels too. Good food options, nice brands to shop, cafes are nice too. On weekends and some weekdays, i have seen this getting very busy and crowded (unsure if its just me post covid feeling that) so just keep a mask handy if you are concerned on that front. But facilities are managed well in terms of cleanliness.

  • MishManners

Everything we need for a weekend shop. We go to seafood place, butcher, green grocer, and then to Coles for any final items on our list. There's also a food court when we're hungry, a chemist to stock up on hayfever tablets, and Kmart/Ikea for home items. I also love Dusk and EB games. We've gone to the cinema here a couple of times too. Free parking if you purchase here.

  • Daniyeru

Small shopping centre with the very minimal basics like kmart, the useful Ikea, Coles, cinemas and some other cafes and retails. Could be renovated to include more stores, arcade centres, etc. Still has all the basics in Richmond though, so no complaints here. We'll maintained and clean. Free parking when you validate receipt of purchase at the ticket stations.

  • Jonas Lund

Gets a extra star cos IKEA is located here. Seemed hard to navigate around this mall. Bad parking and not enough signs i thought. Great to see the old IKEA tho :) Had to go through the IKEA shop n yes, I probably overspent but it was worth it. Everything from lösgodis - sill - köttbullar o varmkorv hehehe (Loose candy - herring - swedish meatballs n hotdogs)

  • Esseland T

It's not a Chadstone or even a Northland. But it has some good anchor stores, like Coles, Ikea, JB Hifi and Kmart. The food court has its stock standard vendors. It's spacious and well lit, and just only an escalator ride away up to Hoyts. It's also great having Vic Gardens as an additional place to shop in an area where there are multiple high streets

  • B. R. Sharma

Top floor has IKEA'S full range on display. Good presentation and elegant collection and splendid ideas for furnishing a home .On the same floor they have a nicely arranged food court, with a elegant swedish touch. Enjoyed the food and drinks. Ground floor has other brands for clothing and footwear and ofcourse Coles too.Huge parking space .

  • Sarah Elizabeth

Great for a small, local shopping centre but the parking prices are ridiculous. Even with a purchase from one of the big shops you end up paying if you stay over 2 hours, so it doesn't encourage doing a shop as well as staying for lunch. I'm not surprised that the shops often change over as it doesn't encourage customers to stay and peruse.

  • Ben Wilson

This shopping centre is great for Ikea and a few other things. There is a Hoyts cinema. Parking is paid and the fees can be a little steep. Located in busy Richmond. That being said there is plenty of parking and public transport is an option. Shop wise,I would say this is a medium sized shopping centre with Kmart and a small food court.

  • Wellha (Wellha)

Contacted the Victoria Gardens manager. We needed a wheelchair for my 83 year old mother. Our plan was to visit Ikea. We spent 5 hours there. Thank you so much Stuart!!! Hospitable and friendly. Was a shame we weren't able to claim a discount through Ikea though. Our membership had expired? We spent $549. Also had to pay $18 parking.

  • Khalid Amin

Nice shopping centre with an Ikea store inside. Very clean. Lots of parking available, parking is paid though, however you can scan Ikea invoices to get parking fee waived. There’s also a Kmart store next to Ikea, which is a bonus just in case if you can’t find what you’re looking for in Ikea. Very central location too.

  • Vince How

Parking is an absolute rip off, $38 for a whole day considering I have spent more than $500 here. Only just exceeded the 6 hour mark & there was no empathy from the operator but shes right, I should have known. Definitely not a 1 shop stop shopping centre given the time limits - Next time I will be shopping elsewhere.

  • Abeer AL Maawali

I like the the shopping centre. It includes many different shops and many restaurants. If you are looking for a place that includes famous shops you are in the right place. For example, you can find Ikea, Kmart, Coles, Daiso and many other shops. This shopping centre is located near the city. I really like it.

  • Praveen Abhishek

Amazing place. Sight seeing and shopping. Amongst a clean environment, this places houses some of the most important shopping chains viz. IKEA, K-MART, COLES,etc. A good place with lots of parking space. Also, simple commute via trams also possible. Just opposite to the Victoria Street stop. Loved this place.

  • MOHAMMED ABDUL IBRAHIM

Great place to look around. It has a big parking lot. Maybe 2$ for 0-2 hours I'm not sure. If you buy something from Kmart or Ikea parking is free. Ikea is on the top floor. Kmart is open until 12. There is even a multiplex to watch movies. Kids can play games that are next to the movie section. Enjoy. …

  • Buzz Buzz

What a rip off and a hassle being charged for parking at any time of day or night. I can understand doing it in peak hour to prevent it being used by commuters. But at 8pm on a Thursday night? Come on. And you can’t even pay at the exit gate, you have to carry the ticket around and find a machine. So vintage.

  • Judge “JUDG33NT” Jules

Very dull at the moment as they going through some renovations or something to bring new shops. Overall OK experience, very convenient from either coming from city or North Richmond station and connectibg via tram. The tram stop is front of Vic Gardens. 1 Min walk. Lots of parking if you are driving as well.

  • Michael G

Free 4 hours parking from IKEA is only valid for less than 4 hours duration. After 4 hours full parking fee is charged. Easy hack, exit before 4 hours duration, re-enter parking and purchase something else for $7 at IKEA to extend another 4 hours. Works out to be way cheaper than $38 for 6+ hours of parking.

  • Hansaniee Kora

VIC gardens might not have many shops but it has the big ones like IKEA and Kmart as well as a Hoyts. Relatively clean toilets (and few available at IKEA as well). Decent sized food court. You get free parking with certain shops else parking is around $2ph. Daiso closing down is one of the disappointments.

  • Peter Poon

A large shopping complex where you can find different marts, shops, department stores all at one location. Just name it, IKEA, Coles, Kmart, Freedom and so on. Good parking facilities with wheelchair friendly escalators upto the mall. A good place to bring your family during the weekends.

  • Tariqul Islam Khan (Tuhin)

Excellent place within the inner skirt of the city. Has public transport on the door. Main advantage is IKEA. The shopping plaza is actually underrated. A bit confusing for parking though. Must recommend to shop here. And a short stroll to the river bank if you need some fresh moist air.

  • Tea Radio

Decided to go see two movies on the same day there since it was closer than Chadstone. Huge mistake! Since we saw two movies, we were there for over four hours and had to pay almost $40 for parking. The movies were already expensive, would have been cheaper to go to Chadstone.

  • Ishtar2480

Pretty good, nice relaxed and chill vibe, you won't get overwhelmed or lost like you would at Chadstone or Melbourne Central. The fact that there's an IKEA upstairs is a much appreciated bonus too, there's not many of those in Melbourne at all, let alone in a shopping centre

  • Bhanu Kiran Kalla

Ample parking, multiple parking entrances, food court with multiple cuisines, IKEA, KMART, Coles, Liquorland, Adairs, Rebel and many more. You can get your parking fee waved off if you shop in the mall and scan the receipt at the payment Kiosk along with the parking ticket.

  • Ritu Devi

I love going to Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre because here I get everything (from ting to tong and ding to dong). The single best thing that VG could do you improve the shopping experience is to get rid of the "chuggers". So i would like to recommend this mall!!!

  • Alando Chia

A place of worship. A holy sanctuary. A serene ground in the middle of Hiroshima that attests to the power of hope over despair. This Cathedral is built with grace, simple but exquisite architecture. The roof is a sight to behold. A must visit when in Hiroshim

  • Norman Chia

Decent shopping centre with Coles, hoyts cinema, small food court, Kmart, novelty and specialty stores and IKEA. Parking is easy but horrendously overpriced - don't get any free hours (although not sure if you can still get your ticket validated at a shop).

  • John Newey

Arrived to charge electric cars and shops, and available charge stations were unserviceable on the ground and top level of carpark. When entering centre at 440pm, most shops either had closed or were ready to shut doors. Really nothing to do but leave.

  • sarath sai raju

Victoria Gardens Mall offers a pleasant shopping experience. Stylish stores, variety of brands, and good dining options. Spacious layout and modern ambiance. However, parking can get tight on busy days. Overall, a great spot for shopping and leisure.

  • Laurie M

I had my Hair Cut at Short Cuts and I am pleased. We had very good coffee. I did quick shopping at Kmart good. It is a very easy attractive shopping centre.13Cabs has a pick up area in the Basement. Not my normal Suburb However I enjoyed my visit.

  • Gubsy Jones

victoria gardens has mostly everyting you could need, it has a decent, and fairly clean food court ..the parking isnt too bad, the first hour is free as far as it stands now! the coles there has a lovely lady to assist at the front of the store!

  • Leo Vinci

I like it. I prefer it over the madness of the over-developed Chadstone Shopping Centre. I used to like Chady but hardly go there nowadays. The lighting in some areas (of Chady,) is pure Techno and I dislike feeling like I'm at a Club when

  • Elena McKay

Get rid of your disgraceful, ancient parking-ticket system. Paper tickets in the year 2023?? Charging $38 for a lost ticket ??? Criminal. Your machines not accepting eftpos is appalling. Time to update the system to license plate scanners.

  • Scott Sandars

A decent shopping center but not amazing. Ikea is great and the Coles is a good one. Parking is good, and you can generally always find a spot, and Ikea, Coles and Hoyts will get you free/reduced parking. The Hoyts cinema is a good, but

  • Trent Cliffe

Such a great little shopping centre. Good selection of shops. The IKEA and Kmart are a blessing. The hoyts here is pretty top as well and the parking is so good! Pop into IKEA and get a $1 and your parking is covered. Win. Win.

  • Paul Richards

Home of my go-to Ikea, my go-to dentist and my go-to cinema, and there are some great food options like OMI and Local Hero Singapore. Parking is generally stress-free and it's easily accessible via the Victoria Street trams.

  • Michele Conlon

Absolutely a breath if fresh air. Food court fabulous variety and so clean. I cut myself badly on an IKEA display but the staff was amazing at making sure I was okay. Free parking and free trolleys were a bonus.

Great and spacious mall to be around. You’ll probably get everything you’ve been wanting to purchase for your home, office or even to grab a small bite in the food court with various options. …

  • Peter Phillips

Visiting IKEA, the meal after navigating the maze is always good. Parking is plentiful, access ok but need a ticket machine up on the roof. Double lifts would be a good idea too, like Costco.

  • Kimberley Bennett

You can hire a Go with the Gecko van or ute from the car park by downloading the go with the gecko app and easy as that. You can book n go. Vehicle hire made easy in a convenient location.

  • Raj gupta

Shopping and good quality of vegetarian thai Tip for me was to ask food without egg, fish n meat. And still taste not compromised option together was deal for me. Top of that free parking

  • Peter Harrington

Great spot with a variety of shops, Ikea the big draw card. Easy parking and get your parking pass from Ikea for free parking if you've been in there. Well worth the travel across town.

Shopping at VS is a good and relaxed experience. You can walk around for the windows shopping, or buy something for your house, or even have some delicious food and drink from there.

  • Artist Address

Culturally rich experience! Big crowd on Wednesday, interesting stuff and good food - good life theme! Shopping time for tourists and shoppaholics. Must check out when in Melbourne!!

  • Steven Wulf

Getting parking and having the info center near disabled car park was a huge bonus. However the lack of restaurant(not cafes or food court) options only critique. Loved IKEA though

  • Lauren Harmer

Good variety of shops. Convenient for locals as it has all the basic needs making it an attractive location. Visited Ikea. Enjoyed breakfast at a little Cafe inside. Paid parking.

  • Ian Caruana

Great place to shop but the trolleys, PLEASE do some maintenance on the trolleys. Ok when empty but cannot steer them straight when loaded. Almost lost my shopping it's that bad

  • Emmanuel Ligon

Our go to place when we need both Ikea stuff and everything else, or simply when craving for that meatballs Lots of shops and food choices. Plenty of parking space too. …

  • Love Cats

Not really a big shopping centre. It is great there food court. kmart. rebel. cinema inside. sport shops. Coles. Clothes and Jewellery store. chemist. IKEA. EB games.

  • Shakeel Ahmad

There is not a single shop of halal meat. Only fish is available, and the prices are almost the same as in Coles and Woolworth. So, for muslim, it's not useful.

  • Amy Elizabeth

The one with IKEA, in case that's what you were wondering! Like and follow for more ;) Quite a good shopping centre, heaps of your fav stores. timed/paid parking,

  • Kevin Soo

It's ok. Not the best shopping centre but what I need is there - Freedom, Boost Juice and IKEA. Parking is good on weekdays. Not too busy. Been there many times.

  • Daryl Raverty

A hidden Gem. A shopping centre with all the usual, and IKEA as well. Covid 19 restrictions mean the food courts are restricted. Social distancing is a thing.

  • Toni Cameron

It's a shopping centre, I stopped in once whole walking back to my accommodation - I'm not a local and haven't been here before so I can't say much about it

  • Amrita Hebbar

IKEA and Kmart in same place, plus parking with ease and discounts. It is no wonder I spend loads of time and money here! :-)

  • Victoria Repka

We are lucky that there are our preferable shops, IKEA and Kmart are in the centre. Upset that there is no Daiso anymore.
