"While some of the vet techs at this location are lovely, this is the worst VCA vet I have ever been to"
"I have been taking my beloved cat to this veterinary clinic for the past 3"
"Never in all my time of owning a cat and seeking veterinary care have I received such attention to detail and patience from a veterinary clinic"
"UPDATE: I just brought my oldest cat in for surgery to get bladder stones removed, and I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars"
"I felt uplifted after bringing my kitties here, I have had enough experience with vets and cats to know when my cats are in good hands and here, there are several extremely knowledgable staff members and extremely helpful people to know you are really in a 5 star cats only hospital! I truly, highly recommend, I have never felt more comfortable having my cats examined and vaccinated than in this place! Extremely clean, extremely reasonably priced, I highly recommend and urge you, if you have cats in Vancouver BC, if you love them, please bring them here, you will definitely feel the same!"
While some of the vet techs at this location are lovely, this is the worst VCA vet I have ever been to. I have been dealing with this vet for about a year, at first the service was standard, with only up-charging being a concern for me, however, over the last month and a half it is clear that this office is severely lacking in professionalism, and compassion. - All results from tests are given over the phone, some of which are done during after hours. Vets will not disclose a fulsome care plan, rather adds more costs with no extra information unless you ask. Even then, it is rare to get consistency in answers from staff. - Written correspondence is rarely shared, but when it is, it is unclear from whom - Cases are shared across the entire office, so continuous care is non-existent and things often slip through the cracks. You will not recieve results or calls when they say you will, and you WILL have to follow up. - When I told Dr. Larissa that I would not be able to afford the $3000 consultation she reccomended she responded "thats too bad, your cat risks having a clot that could kill him instantaneously, I actually saw it happen last week it was so sad" Which I found to be insensitive and manipulative. - Despite it being a 'cats only' clinic, the office manager often brings dogs into the office to stay with her, which I found to be quite bizarre. Overall, would not recommend. Not trustworthy, standard of care is quite low, and a very uncomfortable, disheartening and EXPENSIVE experience.
I have been taking my beloved cat to this veterinary clinic for the past 3.5 years for regular check-ups, and it has been a generally positive experience. The staff has always been friendly, and we loved being Dr. Larissa's patients. However, my recent experience left me stressed and disappointed. My cat fell ill, and I wanted to book an urgent appointment with our regular veterinarian clinic, the place where we have diligently maintained her medical records over the years. To my surprise, I was told that they were fully booked for the next two weeks and recommended to seek help elsewhere. I understand that clinics can be busy, but it was disheartening to be turned down in a time of need, especially considering our loyalty to this clinic. I believe that in emergencies, it's important for veterinary clinics to have a system in place to accommodate urgent cases, even if it means rescheduling non-critical appointments. Despite this recent experience, I want to emphasize that the clinic has been great for our regular check-ups, and I appreciate their previous care for our cat's well-being. It's just unfortunate that when we needed help the most, we couldn't get it. I hope the clinic takes this feedback to heart and considers implementing changes to better accommodate their loyal clients during times of urgency.
Never in all my time of owning a cat and seeking veterinary care have I received such attention to detail and patience from a veterinary clinic. Right from the start they took the time to retrieve the medical records and results from former vets, and the vet even reviewed recent blood test results and possible related health implications from another vet clinic with me line by line - which the other clinic had not at all bothered to do. The exam was extremely thorough yet gentle and although I was provided details of all the recommended treatments, non of it was pushed on me. They even took a significant amount of time to show me how to administer subcutaneous fluids at home. I was not rushed out and I am confident my cat was in very good hands. Although the exam fees and some of the pricing may be slightly higher than some other 'cheaper' vets everything is done with purpose and I don't feel anything unnecessary was recommended - often more expensive can end up being cheaper in the long run. I am horrible with names otherwise I would have named the staff!
UPDATE: I just brought my oldest cat in for surgery to get bladder stones removed, and I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. They were very upfront about all of the costs and the full procedure, we're very receptive when I called for updates, and my partner and I could just tell they took such great care of our old lady. Even though this place is a bit out of the way for us now that we've moved, we are 100% staying as regulars here. Pet and owner recommended! Probably the best vet experience I've ever had. Everyone here is so kind and cares deeply about your kitties. I brought my two cats here, one a younger cat and the other a senior, and they took such good care of them. They were very thorough with the exams and were very clear with everything we should do to take the best care of our cats. It especially helps that this is a cat only clinic, as my senior kitty is pretty afraid of dogs. It's nice and quiet with no loud barking to worry about!

Really lovely people work here. They are super nice and clearly know how to treat and care for animals. However, I recently was given inaccurate follow up times for my cat’s treatment. After my consultation, I was told I would be contacted in “a couple days” by a specialist. I cancelled my plans to ensure I would be available to bring my cat in. After a week, I followed up and was told it would be months until I heard from the specialist. I am pretty disappointed that I wasn’t told this information upfront and feel mislead.
We had a great experience with the VCA for my cat’s dental surgery. Dr Ko was great in navigating hiccups due to unexpected kitty asthma situation when he first went under anaesthesia and didn’t respond well. They did a second try and in the end it was a successful canine removal and Dr Ozeki made sure my cat could handle the anesthesia well. Dr Hunt did a few of the post surgery re-checks .. great caring crew overall.
Excellent place to take your pet kitty. They aren't like other vets that seem clinical and in it for the money. A thorough check up was done and they made Miss Pickles (cat) feel calm. Prices are relatively decent. They also have a kitty hotel if you decided to go on vacation which offers a few different options as well. Thumbs up!!!
I like this place a lot. They do great work. Sometimes it gets busy and you have to wait because people like me have to travel with their pets and the CFIA has confusing rules and the staff at VCA has to figure out the paper work. They are definitely not wasting time. They are always gentle and kind to our cat.
Our streak of bad luck when it comes to finding a veterinary clinic for our fur babies it seems is over. Hubby and I would highly recommend this hospital. It was clear to see they are very caring and truly love cats. We have visited them twice and our two babies got excellent care. Thank you to all the staff.
I am a first time pet owner. Visited VCA after I got my two kitties. This place is full of amazing people who are loving all cats and are super patient and professional. Dr. Ko is our favoriiiiiite. Our kitties hate being in the cage but they love VCA thank you Team. Gin and Tonic love you all! …
They took care of my sweet cat Nilo during a very difficult time for us, this past February. We sadly had to say goodbye to him and I could not be more grateful for the kindness, knowledge, and respect showed to us by all staff and three vets that helped us throughout such a difficult time.
Had my first appointment today and absolutely loved them. They let me comfort my cats while they got blood drawn and did a thorough exam, had lots of great knowledge. Made me feel comfortable, listened to and felt that my cats were being taken care of gently and wholly.
Cats are finnicky and can sometimes require more adjustments. I think I'm surprised this clinic is so rigid with its schedule and way of doing things. It's disappointing to find out I can't even bring my cat in an hour later if he's feeling
I booked an appointment with my cat who needed sedation for their appointment. I booked off work, brought in my cat, only to be informed the appointment had not been properly booked and they forgot about the sedation they had
FYI this place is extremely overpriced. $150 for the visit alone whereas other places are $50-60. Took our cat elsewhere after getting a quote and saved $700 for her asthma diagnosis. Highly recommend shopping around.
Brought my 'Kitty' here from the states and they figured quickly that I was off my meds. Kitty is a 16yo pekingese/poodle. Her name is "Kitty." Staff was very nice, gave me a juice box, took care of Kitty.
The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful and has a ton of specialized knowledge about cats that make this the ideal place to bring your cat for checkups or any kind of non emergency treatment
