What a wonderful experience at this clinic! My cat had an injury to her shoulder and I wanted to take her somewhere she could get an xray if needed. I do not have a regular vet for her so I searched options that were open in my neighborhood. (I have been to both Hillside and VEG for emergency needs for other pets and just didn't really think that was necessary for this visit -- plus I really didn't want to incur substantial after hours costs.) This option seemed perfect. Made appointment online and checked right in upon arrival just a few minutes later. Staff met me and took us to a room where we hung out to wait our turn. The vet techs and Dr Jansen were all very nice, explained everything to me and offered great advice to put us both at ease. The costs were not exorbitant and actually quite fair given the convenience and care this place afforded us. In fact, Honey now thinks you should name this particular room after her. Hope to not need this place again, but nice to know they are here if I ever do.

My sweet boy Charlie woke up having trouble with his left eye. It was very red and he kept squinting that eye. I called our regular vet but everyone was out sick so they recommended we come here to UrgentVet-Lakewood. And we are so glad we did! They open at 3 so even though they are a walk-in vet, I decided to “save a spot” (not exactly an appointment) on their website for 3:00 and that is the actual time we got seen. They took his weight and we went straight to a room. They were so sweet and gentle with my boy, they told us everything they were wanting to do and why, told us how much things would cost before they did anything, and they actually accommodated to us when they wanted to take him to another room with them to do their tests and we asked to keep him here due to his separation anxiety. And we were only there an hour! They were so caring and so nice, and it wasn’t nearly as expensive as going to an emergency vet! I will recommend this vet to anybody!

This was an amazing experience for a bad situation. My pup was attacked by a neighbors dog and after the holidays finances were tight. I saw there was an urgent care clinic and decided to give it a try. The staff here were super great! Suprina took care of us and walked through the options and worked with us to make sure we could afford the service. She was so nice and didn’t pressure us on the treatment plans. Dr. Aderholdt was just as great, she examined my dog and walked us through all the options. We opted to get the surgery to fix my pup and she did such an amazing job! You can even tell she was attacked! Seriously one of the best vet experiences I have had in a long time. I cannot recommend this place enough! The facilities were clean and welcoming and you can check in easy online. You walk in say you’re here and we were seen not even a minute later. Thank you guys for taking care of us!

The Urgent vet at Lakewood is absolutely wonderful. Although, they aren't open before 3pm, it's very convenient to visit them just after work. I set a reservation online, although they do accept walk ins, and was able to check in on a computer myself. I was quickly brought inside so a room and they took very gentle care of my Kitty, who was dealing with an infection and an Allergy. They gave him a steroid, wich they administered themselves, and an antibacterial and offered a Prescriiption for a 30 day Flea treatment, to help avoid future allergic reactions. Everything was smooth and fast and I was there no more than an hour for me exam and treatment. The examination for 90 Dollars and My full bill was 240. They walked me through costs the entire time, and accept cash and cards. Over all, a very wonderful, helpful experience.

This place was a God send. Since my husband and I both work full time and it’s always hard to get off work for last minute things UrgentVet saved the day. We adopted a kitten and the same day she presented sick. We immediately began looking for options. Finding UrgentVet was great. It was so easy to set an appointment. Once we were at the Lakewood location they were amazing. Jen the tech was so sweet your sick baby and made her feel at ease even with the antibiotic shot. The vet was just a great. She was thorough and made everything very clear. Thanks to there hours of operation and great service our baby is doing better and the way to recovery. Thank you!!

My Assidoodle was a service dog. My mentally handicapped brother was her person. At 13 she had developed problems and was retired to just being our beloved pet. While on a family trip she became unable to stand at all and only ate when being fed by hand. We were driving home when we knew she was suffering and her meds were no longer helping her and at over 6 pounds I couldn’t pick her up to get her out of the car. I called Urgent Vet gave the my estimated time of driving through Dallas. We arrived and the took care of her with great compassion for her and us. I couldn’t have asked for more kindness and respect for my brother or for our pet.

I brought my late Sasha into this location on Saturday for what I thought was a sprain. They made my kitty feel at ease with nature sounds and low lighting. They were able to run some tests on her and found out that she had bone cancer. The vet and tech were so kind and empathetic to the situation and treated my cat with such care and compassion. I was sent home with pain meds and some special foods. I am sad that as of Wednesday, Sasha had to be put down, but I am glad that there are kind and compassionate people at Urgent Vet to help our fur babies at all life stages. Thanks for the compassion and for helping Sasha in her last days.

I had to take my 19-year-old “fospice” dog, Bodie, in to be euthanized. I could have waited a day for my regular vet to open, but he had gone so far downhill that I couldn’t make him keep going the way he was. The staff were all very respectful and kind, and the clinic was clean and comfortable. The vet was very sweet when it came time to administer the injection. It was an unfortunate way to meet them all, but I have no complaints whatsoever about the experience. I would certainly recommend the clinic, and I thank them for their kindness. Note: he had not yet passed in this photo. He was sleeping on Mommy’s chest.

I needed to find an emergency vet for my pet, the place I usually go to with my dog said there was a wait when I called and honestly, I didn't want to get stuck with a ridiculous bill and have to wait forever. Needless to say, I found this place and I was a bit skeptical to try but the team did not disappoint. Everyone was so incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming. The office was clean and very relaxing for my already stressed out pet. I was in an out and back home within an hour. My pet is feeling great and is loving his bravery certificate given by the team. Thank you again to such an amazing and caring team!

It has been my go to urgent vet for the past 3 times my pitbull has needed urgent attention and the service is 10/10 everytime! The vet tech, Suprina helped me check in to my appointment and was so kind and patient when my pup took a minute to get on the weight scale and both her and the Veterinarian were attentive throughout all the checkups especially when it came to her vaccines they treated my girl with delicacy. I would highly recommend this clinic especially with their reasonable low prices for the exams and medication.

I had to go there twice. My dog was in bad shape. The second time I put my dog to sleep. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. They made him and I feel as comfortable as we could under the circumstances. Everyone was so sweet and I could tell they are passionate and genuine about their clients. I would highly recommend this place. They were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. They truly care about what they are doing. Thanks for helping me through one of the toughest times ever.

Donna Bear D.V.M was dismissive, unprofessional and very judgmental. I had purchased a puppy 3 days prior to taking him to Urgent vet and I was really upset b/c he was sick and I had just paid over a 1K for the puppy. She included my remarks of frustration in my puppy's medical record. My remarks had NOTHING to do with the puppy being sick. I would advise anyone and everyone who uses UrgentVet to be careful of this person. Even the assist was taken back by the comments Donna wrote in my puppies chart.

This urgent vet I highly recommend any and everyone who maybe dealing with a tough time or an emergency with their pets! Shaila was the person that checked me in and came in and did most of the consultation along with the treatment plan the dr ordered me… she went above and beyond there exam fees and and pricing are by far the best around in the Dallas area 100% reasonable!!! I thought it was almost the end for my baby but he was back to himself when we left thank you guys ❤️❤️❤️

Had an unexpected dog scuffle on a Sunday evening that ended in a face injury that needed stitches. I was a mess but they were so awesome! They were so kind and patient and took great care of my sweet Daisy girl. Highly recommend! Edit to say I wish I could remember our vet tech’s name but I was pretty distraught and I’m not great with names but She is AMAZING!! 10 stars for her! She took care of Daisy on 02/26 6:18ish pm and the Vet was awesome too

We’ve been to this urgent care twice with two different dogs of ours. Each time they’ve gotten us in asap, and been kind and thorough in their examinations. I felt like both of my dogs were in great hands. The cost was warranted for the level of care our dogs received during non-business hours (weekends). If we need urgent care for our pets again, I won’t ever hesitate to come here even though there are closer businesses to my home!

Tango cat had a huge abscess on his chin. He couldn't eat, felt miserable. Usual vet couldn't get him in for days. As soon as it passed midnight, we got on the UrgentVet website and grabbed the first 3 pm appointment. His abscess was lanced, drained, and cleaned. No unnecessary tests ordered. Prescribed basic antibiotics. Tango was home by 5 pm. Please with the service and price. Before and a few days after pics.

The staff at UrgentVet-Lakewood was so amazing. My parents took our dog there earlier this week after she was attacked by another dog and they not only took excellent care of our dog but of them as well. They took our dog quickly, hardly any wait. My mom kept telling me about how kind and calm they were with them it was a huge comfort for me to hear. Highly will recommend, thank you UrgentVet-Lakewood staff.

Really glad that this place exists. My pug had been vomiting and with the heat I was worried he wouldn’t rehydrate and my vet suggested coming here. We were seen right away and they took care of him so he could get back his fluids and be on our way. The vet and vet techs were all so understanding and attentive. I’ve already shared the info on this place with friends if they ever need it for their pups.

I needed urgent care for my cat - I had spent thousand of dollars on my dogs at the local vet over the last 26 years & they refused to see my cat that would b a new patient but referred me to Urgent Care who were great talking my through the process & seeing me immediately when we arrived. The vet & staff were very king and through. I would highly recommend the UrgentVet on Mockingbird & Abrams

They take care of my baby boy, Link after he got his toe nail ripped off with much love and attentiveness at a very affordable cost. They also gave me great recommendations for vets for cost-effective options for other treatments as well. They called me the next day to check on Link and see how he’s going. Next time I have an emergency, I will definitely be sure to bring Link back there.

Suprina and the staff were wonderful. Our little guy came in with an allergic reaction and is a bit reactive himself. They respected his boundaries and made Phil feel comfortable during his visit and put us at ease as well by explaining everything. Will definitely come back as they were a lifesaver when our usual vet was closed. Very affordable as well compared to “Emergency” Vets.

Best Vet in town , the entire staff are professional and take pride in their work from Vet Tech to the DVM . Had to take my feral cat that adopted me a year ago in after hours for a severe leg wound . I did not think the leg was going to be able to be saved but now it is a week later and it is healing well . Just wanted to personally thank the entire staff for everything.

Wow! I was so impressed by the service and level of care my dog received this evening. The staff (Suprina, Eric & Ashley) quickly took my puppy in and evaluated her and got her treated quickly. Due to their swift care and service we were able to avoid major surgery. I will return the next time one of my puppies need urgent vet care. What a great add to our neighborhood!

My roommate took her pup, Griffin, in after our dogs got into a scuffle. Amazing attention as soon as she walked in. Everyone was incredibly professional, polite, and empathetic. This place is a great option to emergency facilities and conveniently located. Very affordable in comparison to an emergency visit! I ended up needing to take in my own pupper

Great service, caring, kind and professional staff. They did the test they needed but at a fast service. We went at night and we booked an appointment but they take walk ins anytime. Next day they called me & send me emails to follow up incase I had questions about medications. They answer them and educate me on how to administer the medication.

Commending all staff and doctors from this facility. They were accommodating, friendly and very reassuring that our Bambam will be fine after his ear wounds. They greeted us right away even if we haven’t finished checking in. They are all awesome in taking care of his needs. The instructions were clear and precise. Kudos to the group!

Live in N Ellis County drove here because our ER is expensive. Excellent care and the vet explained everything in detail without big medical terms. The whole cost of the visit was still cheaper than the base cost of our ER. It was only 10 min more and saved me hundreds of $$$$. They need a location in N. Ellis County.

I very much recommend UrgentVet Lakewood - all of the staff is amazing, but I must mention Dr Foster in particular! She is smart and straightforward, giving you the facts you need, while at the same time, projecting a compassion and caring attitude. This was much appreciated in dealing with a heartbreaking decision.

I called 4 other “emergency vets” and was told they “didn’t have a doctor available.” UrgentVet got my fur baby in immediately. Signed in on-line and went straight to a room. The service was excellent and fast. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Even had a follow-up call the next day. Highly recommend!!

Great place to go if you have no other option. Everyone is friendly and service is relatively fast. The only downside is the affordability aspect. After all, it is an urgent care facility. Only come here if your pet’s issue can’t wait for your primary care vet like a life or death issue.

Very clean. Nice staff. Relatively quick visit. Reasonable prices. As much as I hate needing an urgent vet visit, there’s just sometimes no avoiding it. I would gladly take my pets back here if the occasion called for it. Too bad I am moving. Thank you so much for helping me with my cat!

I had very helpful and kind staff all the way through the process and the save your spot in line works great! No wait time. Price for after hours was reasonable and antibiotics were same as you pay at regular vet. If I need after hours care or urgent care I would go again in the future.

I have to do urgent vet twice already and both time I’ve gone it’s been a wonderful experience. They are soooo kind so welcoming not rude at all they are patient they are so far honestly even better than my vet. The friendliness and the welcoming and how patient they are as well.
