If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. This has to be THE WORST Postal Service Office I have ever been to. The staff here works at a glacial speed and one man in particular was anything but helpful. There were barely two windows open for the entire hour that I was there. Numerous people were in attendance only to pick up packages and it wasn’t until the crowd began to get a little disgruntled that the man, whom I can only believe to be the acting supervisor at the moment, came and began to “help” give out packages. Nobody apologized for the slow pace in which the office was running or the lack of employees in attendance. The man calls over anyone looking to pick up a package, so I proceeded to approach the window. I was merely there to locate a package that should have been delivered days ago. He then decided to take care of everyone who was behind me in line before me because I didn’t have a slip. I tried to ask him to just look up my Tracking ID to see if the package was there or if it was on a truck but he cut me off saying he had to get to the others before me. Again, I was there before the others, but it doesn’t matter, right? He then takes at least fifteen to twenty minutes “searching” for packages and only returns with two of the five that he went looking for. When he gives these out he tries to take other people ahead of me again but I was feverish at this point, having just spent an hour and some change without any sort of answer or hope in sight. Finally he looks up my Tracking ID telling me it says it’s going to be “delivered today”. I hastily told him that it should have been delivered on Sunday and I would like some sort of tracking since it wasn’t showing up on my phone, or emails. This is a package that I needed tonight for an event. After about five minutes he returns to me telling me that it is in Jeffersonville. When I ask where that is, and what that means in regards to when it should arrive he brushes me off and says “I said it’s in Jeffersonville” “Okay, but where is that? What does that mean” “I don’t know”. Basically I stood in this crowded, hot, dimly lit postal office to get attitude from a man because I was inquiring where my delayed package was. I had to exit before my temper really got the best of me. I was not the only person in there today who felt the way that I did, countless others stood in that line missing their lunch breaks, going back late to work, etc due to the extreme lack in acceptable service. There has not been 1x that I've gone to this location and was out b4 85 minutes at the least. The cust service at this location Is the worst I've seen anywhere. They are rude, nasty and very discourteous. The whole neighborhood has complained for decades about the problem here, yet nothing has been done to alleviate this problem to date. No wonder why they treat the public as they do. You can come here on any given day and see an argument here because the public is fed-up. Complaints fall on deaf ears, and to complain to the supervisor, (ha, don't make me laugh),he's the worst of the bunch! lot of times when I come, I notice the glass entry dr has been broken. I believe the reason why nothing is being done is because the powers that be do not want these types of cs,reps working in their neighborhoods disrespecting their customers. So what do they do?! (Ha, leave em' there, better them then us attitude). Always prevails. But there's an old, old saying that goes, "what goes around comes back around." You cannot keep treating people like herds of cows, sheep etc. You get my drift. At times, lines are out the door and they have only 2 service reps. Working. Believe me I sympathize with the over worked staff. However, if this problem is ever to be rectified, I strongly advise transferring workers from not so busy zones to zones which are in desperate need of assistance. I've seen this applied only once, and that was about a few years back, when the extra help was sent for the x-mas season. And boy did it ever feel like x-mas. All the staff were jolly, respectable and curteous. They cust were beside themselves with joy. It was a contagious atmosphere as well as being a very memorable experience. Although it didn't seem like the same horror post office everyone in the community was used to experiencing, I'm sorry to say that it was short lived:( the u.s. postal service needs to step up it's game to make sure that all it's customers, (not just the privelidged few that reside in privelidged zip codes) get the same fair shake as everyone else. SHAME ON YOU N.Y.C. POSTAL SERVICE!!! ,

I went to the post office location at 1915 Fulton St, Brooklyn, NY 11233 today at around 1:40pm and a employee at the front door told me that the office was closed for one hour due to being understaffed. Previous to going to the location I checked their google to make sure they were opened. I had a heavy package which I walked several blocks with to mail. The package had a prepaid label and just needed to be dropped of. I asked the employee if she can take the package. She refused and said she could not because she could not leave the door. The previous week the same situation took place. Me and other individuals came to the location and were told by a employee at the door that the office would be closed for 30 minutes. This is completely unacceptable, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. During both visits people complained that they wasted gas, their lunch breaks, their time, to come to come to this location. This location is obviously being poorly managed and the employees and manager are free to open and close the post office whenever they feel like it without any consequences. If they are understaffed they know ahead of time. Just like every other organization they have a roster of employees that will be working each day, and should post ahead of time on google, the post office front door, and voicemail the times they will be closed so customers do not waste their time coming to the location. Also if they are understaffed they should have the employee the front door helping customers instead of standing around. The manager and employees at this location are obviously doing whatever they want and not holding to USPS standards because there is no oversight for this location. There is a reason the location has a one star review on google and several other other review websites. Customers complain and nothing has changed. That is why those working at this location continue to do whatever they want and still get paid. This post office is useless to customers and needs to be closed down!

PSA: If you use the USPS to ship your packages, seriously reconsider. Over a month ago, I received a(n obviously previously opened and then repackaged in non-USPS packaging) box containing only the packing material meant to pad the items (totalling well over $1,000 (all my text books, design markers and various other design tools, as well as EVERY SINGLE PATTERN i've ever drafted over the course of 5 years)) my parents had mailed me, along with a(n unsigned) letter letter stating that if I felt my package had arrived to me with items missing, I could file a 'loose mail' claim in order to recover my items. In the month since then, I have filed 4 different claims (and an additional claim with Consumer Affairs), none of which have received any response. After spending over 3 hours on the phone with various USPS call center employees over the last week (which I had to very unprofessionally place during my workday due to their terrible 9am-4pm hours) I was finally told to go to my local postal office to fill out paperwork to be mailed to their loose mail warehouse in Atlanta. When I arrived at the post office today (the 1915 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY location), armed with photos of the items that I am by now forced to assume have been stolen from me, I spent over an hour waiting at a customer service window only to be told they no longer file that paperwork and I would need to file a claim online or call their customer service hotline (been there, done that on both the former and the latter). In short, the only 'service' the US Postal Service is interested in is giving their customers the run-around while refusing to accept responsibility for their actions.

This is a followup to a previous review...the rating is still a single star, but I have a supervisor's phone number given to me by customer service at the MAIN post office complaint line that I can now share for those who want to actually have their phone calls to this post office answered (trust me, no one EVER answers the main phone number). It's the main area code, the normal prefix, and then one-three-eight-one. This post office basically will sometimes arbitrarily not deliver a package (this time it was something ridiculous like "mailbox was blocked," which it wasn't, AT ALL). Didn't leave a delivery notice, per usual. BUT, as previously, I went online to request a redelivery on Wednesday, it was scheduled for Friday--yesterday--and it's still not here today. I'm currently on hold with the supervisor, and you can tell how long I've been on hold by how long I've been typing. What can I say that everyone else leaving one-star reviews hasn't said? And really, what's the point of reviewing a post office? The United States Post Office is far and away one of the WORST, LEAST EFFICIENT, AND MOST RUDE organizations anywhere. If we all weren't prisoners to this bureaucratic nightmare, no one would use them. And yeah, I don't know who Shirley Chisholm was, but she probably wouldn't be pleased to have her name on this post office.

Please google allow me to give negative stars..this location is super terrible. My package was set to be delivered on the 28th, they claimed business is closed (it's a private house) then states no access to the delivery location (lies)..the tracking said they would redeliver on the next day (more lies). I checked again on the 30th, no update was on the tracking site, I went up there personally...the lady there told me it's on the truck (more lies) since she just looked at the tracking I found on my phone. Still the end of the 30th no delivery. I been calling the facility and no answer, I went BACK UP THERE on the 31st for a second time. I spoke to a manager and he doesn't even know what happened to the package, states he was not on duty and gotta check with the person that was. He said i don't want to tell you it was lost but that's a possibility smh. They are not organized at all, they just leave undelivered packages anywhere, he states he would have to speak to that manager and see where they placed my package. I had to come back again an hour later and they told me it was delivered on the 29th( more lies) because I got my package on the 31st as the driver was entering my gate and took it from his hand. They need to change the staff at this location. Please file complaints so they can get rid of these people.

I am about to open an investigation with this postal office. They have lost multiple packages of mine, and no one in my apartment building has received mail for the past week. Additionally, they lied and said that they attempted to deliver two packages to me this week, when no attempts were made. I was home all day both of the days that I anticipated the packages coming. No one rang our doorbell, yet our food delivery had no problem ringing our bell and delivering to us. I suspect that employees are tampering with and stealing packages. I called the USPS main number this morning, and they said that both packages were at the local post office. I went to pick them up there, and once there was told that neither of those packages were found. I spoke to the supervisor and she promised to call me this afternoon once locating the packages. No phone call was made to me. I then called USPS' main number again and they said to call Consumer Affairs, but that if no package is located, and since they were not insured that I might just eat the cost. I needed one of those deliveries for a wedding I'm going to. This is the third time in the past month and a half that this postal office has lost my packages. I will do everything in my power to shut them down. Where are all of the packages going if they just magically disappear?

Worse costumer service ever. I went there two times since I moved to the area. I needed to sent a package to Puerto Rico, the lady told me that I had to fill out an itemize sheet, you know to indicate what I was sending. Second time I went in, a different lady assisted me and prior to me arriving to the location I had the itemize paper already filled out. When I got to the window clerk, the lady tells me don't you know that for Puerto Rico you don't need to sign this because PR is part of USA?!?! And she started to laugh. I told her what had happened and she said that info was incorrect. There was another person behind me being assisted by another clerk who apparently had a visible disability. She was very annoyed about everything and had attitude with everyone. The gentleman being assisted told her that he only needed to drop the package because he had already paid and clerk lady said well you still have to make the line. He explained to her that he had the receipt and everything, why is she making him wait? He told her that was the reason for him to pay in advance before coming in. She said well, if you don't like it. You can go to a different postal office! All the people in the line, We were all in disbelief.

The one thing this location had going for it was its physical layout and the "single-line + multiple windows" design. However, for some bizarre reason they've created a two line system that doesn't work and - because no one honors it - creates confusion and added frustration for the customers. Occasionally I will be in a circumstance where it just makes sense to try to run into this branch. I am always hopeful that maybe they'll have improved, but for 8 years it has always disappointed me so I avoid it at all costs. I am gobsmacked by just how miserable and rude the workers are at this location. Multiple times they have refused to ship packages for invented arbitrary reasons - too big of a box or reusing a box. I know they're lying because whenever they've refused to accept a package, I take it to another USPS location and they accept it without any objection whatsoever. Workers will openly ignore customers in line, disappear for long stretches of time, and mock people asking sincere questions. It's awful. Truly a shame that this branch carries Shirley Chisholm's name because the workers do a disservice to her legacy. Do yourself a favor and go to the Broadway and Gates location if you value your time.

There are so many issues with this post office that I don’t even have the time to spend writing it. This incident in particular, I ordered a Christmas gift for my child and I received shipping updates from the company and a notification that the package was out for delivery with the local post office. Each day the expected delivery date kept changing to the following day. After 3 days, I contacted this unprofessional poorly ran post office and the manager/staff couldn’t explain what happened to my package and where it could possibly be. After asking if someone at their office possibly stole my package, they stated that they “didn’t want to say that”. They made up some excuse about the scans auto-generating which seemed like bs. I was then told to contact the company to have them send me a new product. My issue is, hold your staff accountable! It’s not a difficult task to deliver mail! And it’s also not difficult to question your employees and follow up with issues that customers have. They need a full re-staff at this place smh. I will be contacting the Borough Presidents office and the local council members about this particular post office and the staff. Just read the other reviews smh disgusting.

so a worker from this post office had jumped 3 ,13 year old girls and i personally this this is very inappropriate because as-well as she is a grown woman she was in her job uniform which means she was on the clock and displaying the job it’s self as an unsafe environment . She had scratched one of them and repeatedly punched the girl in her nose over and over until the girl blacked out . I am an observer in this situation so i don’t know the exact thing that occurred to see this happen but what i do know is that after she made the other girl black out a big man cam out which i’m guessing is her boyfriend or husband because i had saw a ring and fling one of the girls all the way across the street , then her daughter had came out and started fighting the other little girl then left and sped away with the woman husband , and now what i do know is that ambulance had to come and take her to the the hospital because she could not walk , if you do not believe this please check the security cameras across the street and at your job , i don’t know what exactly she looks like but i do know she has a fake but and is light-skin thank you good night and i will be calling tomorrow

This is the worst post office in Brooklyn or maybe the whole united states. First of all, this USPS location gives off medieval vibes. This place is decorated like a voting center made back when rosa parks refused to give up her seat. Can we update this place with new material and interior? It hasn't changed since my mom used to take me as a child. Second, this place has the worst set of employees. Lazy, old, and miserable; acting as if someone had a gun to their head forcing them to work this 9-5 job. Besides that, the main point is their crappy mail/delivery system. I was supposed to get a package 3 days ago and I still haven't received it! I left a note on the re-delivery saying to leave the package by the side door of my house which is steep and out of view from the gate. When I went online to check my package, the tracker said there was an attempted delivery at 11:53 pm. PM, aka ALMOST MIDNIGHT. No one on earth is looking out for packages at midnight! The tracker claimed that there was a notice left but there was nothing left at all. And no, this is not the only time. Anyways, If you want a crappy quality of service this place is for you.

I visited this post office for the first time after seeing that my incoming certified mail was "Out for Delivery" for 8 days. Upon arrival, customers grew frustrated over the long line and asked if we could have more assistance. A woman behind the counter proceeded to have a screaming match with the customer about how she "doesn't work the machines and does anyone else have anything to say about her not working" I was truly appalled, I mean this is USPS, a nationwide service. As a customer, I felt threatened to even look in her direction. Upon waiting for 30 minutes and explaining my situation, I waited another 30 minutes at the counter for an associate to look for my missing mail. He arrived to say that "the system is saying it never left their office; however, they cannot find it, so there's nothing that they can do but keep looking." I gave it a few days and I'm now on hold for 40 minutes to speak with a supervisor to see if anyone has looked for my missing certified mail. This office really needs a complete new staff that actually care about customer service. I will be reporting to a higher up immediately.

Imagine placing your mail on hold for 30+ days and you come to the office and they have not a single letter for you! The disposition of the first clerk you speak to is never positive nor welcoming and they’re ready to fan you off. How is submitting a hold mail request online insufficient? I’ve been conducting business with USPS for years! Came in and filled out a form just to still not receive a single letter when I went to retrieve my mail. It is not going to be satisfactory to tell me “I have no mail” or suggest I did not receive mail in a 30 days rolling window. That is utterly impossible, especially when I have tracking numbers for mail parcel that should have arrived to me. The workers are incompetent and MR LUCAS should conduct some better training of his post office staff or hire new ones to sit at the front, knowing your employees are stealing people’s mail and aren’t doing their job.

  • Dana Husband

I’m really starting to believe that the employees in this postal office are thieves . I ordered a package recently and got an email from the company I ordered it from saying my package was delivered in my mail box on January, 28 at 5:52 pm . I have never received my packaged at all . According to this postal office location they said he / she mail carrier delivered it . Now I lived in an apartment complex that have cameras in the lobby and around my building. The package that was delivered was a neon pink package. I’m called my building office and I’m waiting for them to run the cameras back . If I don’t see the mail carrier putting a neon pink package in my mailbox. This post office have a lot of explaining to do . We gonna have a problem ! STOP STEALING PEOPLE MAIL. This place needs to be shut down and all workers should be fired !

One of my mother's retirement checks was stolen, and I called this post office and spoke to the Carrier Supervisor, wondering whether my mother's mail could be held, or whether there was anything that could be done. She was very polite, but said that there was nothing that they could do. I was dumbstruck at this response. I asked whether it would be possible to know what time the carrier makes his rounds, so that my mother could probably collect her mail in person from him/her. Again, she was very polite, but said she didn't have that information. This woman is the Carrier Supervisor, but claimed that she didn't know what time the carriers working at her station went out. It was clear to me that this person was not going to offer any possible solutions. It was clear that she just didn't care. Completely astounding!!

  • Marl J. B (Marls)

This is the area post office and I have been using this post office for over 20 years. I personally haven't had any issues with the tellers to date. I do have issues with the long lines and slow service tho! I have yet to see all the teller windows open and operative, especially when the lines are super long. Quite a bit of customers like myself try to make a stop before heading to the train to go to work..not happening . Either they are not open exactly at 9.00 or when they do open at 9.00 they are not quit ready to serve you, or only one window is open ! I remember when they opened at 8.00 am that was perfect..what happened (beside postal service cuts)? Help the neighborhood help you and try to see things from the customer's perspective if possible. A customer praying to see a change!

  • Danielle Cyrus

Honestly the worst customer service here. The whole staff needs a attitude adjustment. When a customer doesn't understand why their package has supposedly not arrived.DO NOT ROLL YOUR EYES ,RAISE YOUR VOICE AND OR RIDICULE THE CUSTOMER ESPECIALLY IF THE CUSTOMER IS NOT BEING DIFFICULT. The clerk called me a child because I responded back saying i have a notification that my package is here after she said it's not. I gave her my ID and she tossed my id card back. ON TOP OF ALL THAT SHE THREATENED ME BY SAYING MY PACKAGE WILL NOT BE DELIVERED NOW BECAUSE I ANSWERED HER BACK So this place is just garbage at this point and I hope this clerk finds a job where she doesn't have to talk to people because obviously she is not trained or stable to deal with the public. Best of Luck

  • Anna W

Showed up an hour before they closed. Lady was holding the door closed and not letting anyone in. She didn’t explain to anyone why, but other customers waiting outside told me it was because they’re understaffed and needed to eat lunch and would open back up at 4:30. I waited for half an hour until 4:40 when they still weren’t letting us in or telling us what was happening. I’m assuming they’re not going to let anyone in and 5 will come around, they’ll be officially closed, and let the 15 people standing outside leave without being helped. If they wanted to close early, fine, but just tell us that instead of wasting our time. The mismanagement of post offices in lower income neighborhoods really just reflects the lack of respect this country has for people here.

  • Alicia Thomas

If I could give zero stars I would. This location needs to rehire a brand new team who wants to help the company and the community with better customer service. This USPS location refuse to deliver my package and holds it hostage for weeks. I’ve put in a case and expedited it to the corporate office. They refuse to pick up the phone when I call. They would without saying a word hang up, put me on hold, and/or transfer me to their 1-800 number which I’ll be on hold for 2 hours. USPS please fire the entire team there b/c they are horrible. P.S. There’s one gentleman that works at this location when drop off packages who goes above and beyond during closing. They need to promote him for having the patiences and putting up with his incompetent & rude co-workers.

  • J Hunter

These sublevel human beings should be working with serial killers. Those are the only people who deserve this sort of service. There is one arrow that points to the right. I went to the window to the right of the arrow and get a hand pointing with a quick "I didn't ring that go to her!" okay....I go to the next window and say "I'd like" but was cut off by a rough "You too late, you shoulda been here by 3 to get your mail!" I was about to ask another question and was cut off again by "Blah blah 10 to 3pm etc etc." I DIDN'T EVEN CARE what the pick-up schedule was. That wasn't my question. So quick on the draw that she misfired. All unemployed petty people with chips on their shoulders should apply here, you'll fit right in.

  • Morgen

The worst post office I've ever been to. My packages have been lost or stolen on a regular basis. John who works there is misogynistic and intentionally rude and slow to help customers, especially women. Long lines for most of the day with 25+ customers packed inside because of the slow service. It's a pandemic, nothing is clean or safe about this post office. They lost all of my mail that was being held there and never attempted redelivery but claimed they did so they could return to sender. A lot of my financial info has gone missing here, and it's been frustrating getting any help or accountability. Most of the people working here don't care at all, there's only one kind employee here but I doubt she still works here.

  • Garo Plays

This location needs to close down. I just got my card information stolen from here and apparently I'm not the only one. My girlfriend tried to use her card here and her bank immediately closed her account because this place is flagged for having people's card information stolen at an alarming volume. The employee even joked that this happens all the time. I'm now out 100 dollars, have to wait 48 hours to get a new card before I can make any other transactions, and need to change all of my passwords on all my email accounts because of this. The only solution in my opinion is to close this branch immediately, there's no salvaging it's reputation after it gets to this point. Put a community garden there instead.

  • Annette Webson

This post office is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!!! A few times I've had packages NOT get delivered to me on the DATE OF DELIVERY (the date it's SUPPOSE to get delivered). They make excuses and put reasons for not being able to deliver the package such as: "Undeliverable as Addressed" when I NEVER had an issue receiving packages to my address. They create these reasons to NOT deliver the package either cause they are just being lazy OR because they don't want to do their job.....BEING LAZY!!!!! There are ALWAYS long lines at this post office and about 2 employees working the counter. They move EXTREMELY slow and are rude and not helpful at all WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!! It's just a MESS! I hate going to this post office.

  • TTK

The customer service at this location is THE WORST. I've purposely went to other neighborhoods to avoid using this post office. The workers at the window are usually rude for no reason. It isn't jut one or two, it's all of them! Often, you can hear workers in the back joking, while there's only 1 clerk at the window attending to a line out the door! I've witnessed a worker catch the rudest attitude with a handicap elderly man, because the worker was impatient with his questions. Every one in the lobby that day was disgusted at her behavior towards this man. The workers here lack respect for customers, and show little to no interest in their job. Everything about this location is toxic.

  • KRYSTAL OWENS-LYNCH

This has got to be one of the worst post offices in Brooklyn. I have no choice but to go to this location because of my zone. But they never deliver your package or leaves notes behind. This last incident was the last straw. I order a package priority so it should have got to me by Tuesday or Wednesday the latest. I get a delivery confirmation staying it was delivered. I have been checking the for the pack and no package. Who ever delivered the package locked it up in the parcel locker and never left the key. So I am here with no package that I need it for an event but its locked in the locker. Thank state worker who ever you are for not doing your job. You can Kick Rocks!!!!

  • Everickson Walters

i ordered indian remy weave from amazon for my wife. The post office got it and sent it out for delivery on may 30th and today is june 7th and still no package came to my house. Amazon had to refund me cuz the post office claim they cant find that package even though it got a tracking number. So people be very careful with what you send through that postal branch their service is disgusting and they never deliver their packages in a timely manner. Sometime you have to go pick it up once your tracking says its in the facility or it will take days before they deliver. Especially if you have multiple packages forget about it, they never deliver them all at once.

  • Sarah Andersen

This Post Office does NOT redeliver. I understand things can get hectic, but why even offer redelivery if they don't do it? I have scheduled 3 deliveries and not one showed up. I talked to the mail carrier and they said this post office just decided to not do redeliveries anymore--huh? Went to go get my package and the line was incredibly long, no separate line for pickups. A girl there was extremely upset because she had asked for someone to check on her package and they had left and never returned. Anyways, they reorganized the lines halfway through to make a new redelivery one and I got shoved to the back. It was so hectic and confusing that I just left.

  • Joan McGrath

How about no stars? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE HORRIBLE SERVICE. The staff is not accommodating nor helpful. Back when I was a child an employee of USPS was such an honor and people aspired to work at the post office. The hiring quality and standard must have lowered. We had a packaged that was a Mamaroo to be shipped and label in place. They said they can't take it, doesn't fit. No emotion, no care and there is a side door they could have taken it through there but they still said no. My husband now has to take it to the MANHATTAN to get quality service. PLEASE USPS step up your standards on staffing and service. Go back to having pride in your work.

  • Eric Clegg

Absolute worst service. Does not answer the phone and lies about redelivery. I had to reorder my shipment completely. Absolutely ridiculous. Edit: just went here today due to an issue with another package not being redelivered on the date specified. When asking about what delayed the delivery, I was told that 9 times out of 10 they do not print redelivery orders so that the carriers do not know about them. Please call Amazon and ask to file an Carrier Escalation about this or any other issue you have with the USPS. The more of us that speak out, the faster something will be done. We may be able to choose a different carrier soon!

  • ousanga

Extremely poor customer service. I waited for over an hour on a weekday morning to pick up a package. There was only one window open, and since there is no stamp vending machine, EVERYONE has to wait on line for this window! And that one window attendant also goes to the back to retrieve packages! So folks buying stamps are waiting, along with those just picking up packages (with tan slips in hand), compounded by the people with complaints/ trying to track down a "delivered" package that never arrived (more than 1 small business owner was there with that gripe on said day). Brings new meaning to the term "underserved community".

  • Peace and Love

I’m currently on line on a Wednesday afternoon which I’ve been on for 45 mins. There is 1 person working behind the counter and the line is literally taking up the whole entry way to get into the building. I have lived in this area for over 10 years and this post office has always been like this. You would think the workers are volunteers. They have attitudes, no proper customer service skills. It’s disgusting that these people get a decent salary with benefits but are allowed to give the worst service to the people in the community. They have better people skills at fast food restaurants. Totally disgusted with this place.

  • Wes U

First time going and I hope I never have to go back. I had to pick up a package and it was a TERRIBLE experience. First I’m sure no one attempted the delivery because there was no notice left yet that’s what I was told via tracking. Today’s experience was very similar to every review most recently posted, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. There was one new staff there everyone else has a BAD ATTITUDE and talk VERY RUDELY to customers. One of the staff was on her phone while standing in from of us.. on FaceTime exposing personal information. This place is terrible.. VERY BAD communication skills by multiple people.

  • shaquala swinton

I mean it’s pretty crazy how horrible the servie is here. Mailing a package or letter is ever been so terrifying in my life. I usually waiting until I can get into the city and avoid going here at all costs. There is always a super long line, the staff always gives you the absolute worst customer service and then I feel like I committed a crime when I have to slide my packages through these glass windows. I honestly can’t believe that this office is allowed to continue to operate given the type of service that this location offers. Is there no type of training? I wish there was an option to give 0 stars.

  • Pm Production

I came into this post office last week to send a package to California. To my surprise the package returned to my home. When I went in to find out why, the clerk expressed as soon as she saw my package why it was returned to me. She explained to me that the packages shouldn’t have been accepted to begin with. Just when it seemed like I’d have to pay $60 dollars again to send the package. The clerk guided me on what to do, so I wouldn’t have to come out of pocket to resend. She was professional, kind, and patient with me. Thank you Clerk 15, for making my holiday experience at the post office a good one.

  • KIMMY WARE

If i could leave no stars i would, this post office and the delivery they have is very very poor, from delivering big packages that either get placed at the wrong door or address which clearly has it printer with the right address on the box sent from a company, plus putting the peach slip in the mail box, when they didn't even try to deliver the package to your door. *Lots of elderly adults have complain about this and it keeps happening over and over again. This post office needs to be shut down or new staff. P.S there is also always long lines, your wait is over 30 mins on most days.

  • Wonder Woman

Priority shipping and they still won’t try to deliver to your residence. Several times they’ve slipped a door tag in my mailbox without even trying to deliver to my home and no package in their hands. They purposely leave packages at the post office so we can wait in line for hours knowing it’s a pandemic. Employees will tell you to your face your package isn’t there and 2 minutes later they’ll find it. No need in requesting a redelivery. They won’t ever redeliver. They want us to come to the office just so they can give their employees something to do for the day. The worst.

  • Chris. D.

Terrible service. Scheduled a package for re delivery, girlfriend and I watched as the truck drove past our street. She ran outside to ask the driver about our packages. Packages never made it on the truck, when they were scheduled for RE delivery because they missed me the first time I sat home all day and waited. Also lied about "...not allowed to come up the steps to the building to deliver". When we talked to USPS Customer Service later that day (after a 30+ minute wait), the official Customer Service rep said "...he's allowed, he just doesn't want to."

  • Simone

Not even fair. This is POOR POOR POOR service and should be closed down!!! I don't understand how can a local post office that so many people rely on could be so careless!! To top it off, their phone line's always busy... When you miss a delivery, just go straight to the PO because there is no notice left.PO only two people are behind the counter to help! Really?? This day and age you can't have that!!! I can rely on ups but USPS is the worst and i wish there was a way i could stop using this service but that is up to the person sending and not receiving.

  • Jameson Tyler

This is a prime example why the USPS is a failure. I had to call 5 times before someone would even answer the phone. I receive 1 out of roughly every 4 packages sent to me, and 1 pink slip for every 3 packages being held at the post office. When I asked the reason, they told me that the truck delivering them didn't have access to my building—then why don't you schedule appropriate service to match the delivery addresses? And postal workers complain about parcels with signature required, only necessary due to how unreliable the service is.

  • Ashley Evens

Everything everyone else said is true. Just decided to echo the sentiment because I stopped by to grab this link to send to an ebay seller I have been working with to figure out where my package is. As soon as the seller told me they sent it USPS, everything made sense. I figured I would share this page with them because I'd sound like a crazy person tying to describe how bad this place is without context. I have no idea why these people lie about delivering packages and leaving notices (both of which they fail to do 99% of the time).

  • Bria Miller

I wasn’t even in the post office yet and people were outside at 8am on A Saturday saying how this is the worst post office and that there was a whole segment on the news done on them. Of course they did not open on time 8:05 they came around but one woman said it’s been times that they don’t come until 8:15-8:30 to open up . And again in the line people are discussing how bad this place is. And of course they couldn’t help me with the issue of a package . Only one person working as well who acts like she doesn’t want to be there.

  • Devon Valentine

Worst place ever. They employees don’t know shh. I ask about a package that was supposed to been delivered all they kept say was “ check yo trackin’ “ excuse me I replied don’t you mean tracking number? And yes I did it said it was at this location. Her response “ oh well I don’t know what to tell you mister you gotta check yo track number ”. I have never seen such ghetto behavior in a government facility. All they did was sit behinds a window chewing gum, fiddling with their weave. While giving off an unprofessional attitude.

  • Abeautiful mind

Post office is poor. Customer service is unprofessional attitudes lazy workers who watch Maury in the mornings instead of being at the window. Lines are coming out of the post office. Deliveries dates are not kept, notices are not left when tracking states they were. This is one of the worst post offices in Brooklyn. If you don't have to I beg you not to go there. I live in the area so I really have no choice. Again staff is rude and unprofessional. And when you complain about this post office nothing ever gets done!!!

  • Paris Jerome

Absolutely abhorrent communication. You can be the most understanding and patient person and they’ll still manage to have an attitude with you for doing absolutely nothing. The mere fact that they have to do their job (which involves answering a question on a phone) causes them unnecessary aggression with customers. Terrible communication and customer service, unless whatever you want to do there is self service “in-and-out”, do not expect help or at least do not expect respect which you’d think is the bare minimum.

  • Eldior Sodeck

This employees have no sense of professionalism, during this sensitive times of COVID19 when we risking their lives to deliver medical masks to people , they have us wait outside for an hour while it’s empty in the post office to end up saying that they can’t do international shipping because they are closed! Seriously? How about people that don’t have unlimited face masks to use daily. They need to be reviewed , retrained on customer service. Plain rude and lazy. Now is not the time to treat people like garbage.

  • Patricia J

The worst experience with the post office ever. Terrible service, some employees very rude. A high volume of residencts depend on this branch. There is only one or two window service stations available. Presently I have to pick up my mail. I'm missing work. The mail boxes in my building are un locked the whole panel. This problem is now weeks old. I'm so sorry I'm assigned to this branch. Mail is very private and important. This is a sorry situation. It's been reported over and over. No improvements.

  • Greg Nanney

Wish there was a negative star rating option for this place. It is truly awful, full of unconcerned postal workers who will absolutely waste your valuable time. Often the line stretches around the entire lobby with only one service window open. The staff is unhelpful, incompetent, and frankly rude. I ship a lot of packages, and I can say after today's experience my company is switching to UPS. The USPS is a sorry excuse for a shipping organization, and these people are not earning their paychecks.

  • Caroline Poage

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only have I had to call in to the actual USPS customer service to get my package redelivered, which when scheduled for redelivery it never came, I have had to call Amazon to confirm another attempt at redelivery today. I have had to take work off to get this package and it has still not shown up. It was suppose to arrive last week Monday, this has now been over a week since I have been in battlement with USPS over my package.

  • shooting star

this place sucks -the workers create a hostile environment and situations -its simple a few clerks take pink slips and the others deal with the rest -horrible horrible terrible customer service -more complaints to 311 need to be filed -unfriendly -outdated the entire staff needs to be fired. really clear house and rehire younger smarter more efficient respectable people. People that actually need jobs and that are willing to do the work and get their job done.

  • Valencia Morales

If I could give the no stars I would!! The rudest customer service I ever seen!! They over charged me on priority packages that are one rate!! How do you do that?? It's one rate all the time!! One lady yelled at me for bringing in multiple packages saying I was holding up the line. When they are the slow ones there wait time is ridiculous I always wait a good 20 min or more. I currently found a better post office and will never do business with them again!!

  • shine Isaac

This post office is terrible. My package was marked as delivered and that it was left in the mailbox. It's been 10 days now and I still can't find the package in my mailbox. None of my neighbors have not found it either. I have been calling to get in touch with someone in there and the phone is always busy or disconnected and after closing hours it just keeps ringing. I don't like going in there because the line is always long and they never know anything.

  • Lauren Roberts

In handling 1 delivery this post office has failed to do their job 4 times so far. The mail man failed to see and take a redelivery request slip (twice). When I went to the post office to pick it up, the worker informed me that it had left the premises. AND did not check to make sure it had actually been shipped back. (Mistake number 3). Now I'm informed that they haven't yet shipped it back to the senders. (Mistake 4) HOW LONG WILL THE MADNESS CONTINUE

  • Kirmoye

so a worker from this post office..a grown woman put her hands on 2..13 year old girls from the school a few blocks up which included of pinning one of them against a car and scratching and punching her in her face and punching the other in her face..this is unacceptable and needs be handled with her being fired..this is not how post office workers should represent themselves..she also did this while in uniform meaning she was on duty at the time.

  • Taylor V

This place is awful. They never deliver my packages OR even track them out of their post office. Then when I come to pick it up, they say they can't give it to me without the slip that they NEVER LEFT because they never attempted delivery. Then, they give me, the customer, attitude for the mistakes they made. Not to mention my average wait time is 30minutes at this place. I've been dealing with this for five years, no changes in that time.

  • carol R

The customer service at this post office is horrible. They don't know how to speak to people. I payed a fee to have a package deliver to my house. They never brought it I called and had it redelivered, and the day that I had scheduled for the redelivery I was home the whole day. Didn't received my package when I called an employee from there was very rude and said you have to come pick it up. I PAID A DELIVERY FEE FOR A REASON!!!! SMDH!!

  • William Steriti

They loose my mail some come a month late they deliver over nite mail 3 to 4 days late I'm waiting for a envelope with IMPORTANT papers they said they couldn't get in there's a security desk that buzzes u in it was supposed to be delivered next buissnes day which was the following Monday its Friday and now I have to go to post office its 30 blocks away when thers one 2 blocks away what a joke and they don't get in troubel what a joke

  • rufus mahon

this is the WORST post office I have ever had to deal with. the lines are always long no matter what day or time you go. there are very few employees who are at the window that don't have an attitude or make you feel welcome to do business there. the employees in the back are doing whatever except attending to the parcels or what customers need. the only good thing about this facility is my mail person, she is absolutely the best!!

  • Aniyah Moore

BEYOND THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Clerks are VERY VERY RUDE even early in the morning. Rolling eyes snotty attitudes, if I didn't need your assistance trust me I wouldn't speak to them on the regular either! Can't ask a simple question without one of the employees walking away it's disgusting. Surprised they are still in service all these years. Terrible just terrible. I will continue complaining until something is done about it.

  • Evie Rodriguez

If you were to put all of the worst customer service representatives in one place, you'll get this post office! It is the absolute worst place to go to on a Saturday morning. When I get there, I say "Good Morning" to whoever is at the window, by the time I leave, I feel like I have to take an Excedrin for my headache! If you can, please avoid this place like the plague! Had to give it 1 star, because I couldn't give it zero!

  • B C

I’ve been coming to this post office for several months now and I must say I am super surprised at how short my wait time is and how nice the workers at this location are. My wait time is never more than 10 to 15 minutes. The workers at this location always take their time to answer all the questions I may have and are always respectful. This is not my local post office but I come here because of the great customer service

  • Sapaul Ram

More like negative 2 stars, didn't get my package for like 3 weeks, customer service sucks, always long lines with only 2 people max working there. Rather than us complaining, start writing up this place. Also, employees look like retards that dropped out of high school..... Getting my passport soon, I'd rather go to Manhattan and get it, they talk tough behind that thick glass as usually, and talk behind their breath.

  • Sha Tee

I have been waiting for a mailbox key since Oct 2019. Everytime I go in ( which is every 2 months) they tell me the same thing "it's only one person that makes the keys for all 5 Boros. One supervisor (female) had a very bad attitude I guess because she was behind the glass. One thing I must say is someone does come out every few minutes to ask if anyone is there to pick up mail or a package to make the lines shorter

  • Tiffanie Danee'

The absolute worst! I have been to this post office 4 times since I've moved to Brooklyn. Each time it has taken 1-1.5 hours to pick up a package! Its absolutely ridiculous. The staff have the worst attitudes and dont mind impeding on your time. People disappear to the back for 15-20 mins at a time "looking for packages". I could go on an entire rant but I won't. I just really despise this place. Please do better.

  • Ericka Jess

absolutely THE WORST POST OFFICE that I have EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!! This location needs to be shut down ASAP and all the WORKERS NEED TO BE FIRED! I have been waiting on a package that was supposed to be redelivered A WEEK AGO (re delivery was scheduled for 4/16)!!!! I filed a compliant and was told a manager from this location would contact me today and work on getting my package delivered today and still NOTHING.

  • Nicholas Doyle

This is the worst post office I've ever had to deal with. Nearly everyone there is rude and incompetent. They're supposed to be open until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, but I just tried to ship something at 4:40, and was told that there was no one there that could access the postal machines. If they're going to be this useless, they should have an automated machine that would at least let us ship things out ourselves.

  • Janay Hearns

They never even drove to my house! I usually let it go but this time they went way too far! I was sitting at home 05/22/2020 waiting for a package they said would arrive by 7:45pm.. it turns 7:19pm and i receive a message saying that the delivery location was wrong when they never came to my address to even deliver the package. Smfh my fiancée engagement ring was in that package first class priority mail.

  • Judy Johnson

Everyone is right regarding this Post Office. Thank God for my normal mail carrier that's absolutely precious "Abraham". I truly dread the day coming for his retirement! When he's not working I don't get my mail. The powers that be show they don't care and knows little about managing their staff. They need to retrain and relocate present management. My star rating is for my carrier "Abraham"

  • Tolu Adegoke

One of thee worst customer service I've ever experienced. Staff seems unmotivated with a lack of empathy and a hint of pure unapologetic humor. This is by far the worst postal office in US. No one seems to know anything packages get lost it's a hot mess in there. Go somewhere else if possible (as your forced to pick up at the post office closest to you)and stop giving this place business.

  • Laura Wilson

I came here at 1:45pm to drop off a box and I saw this sign. Why is this place closed in the middle of the day? This place is forever terrible. I would travel to the City before I come here. They might as well turn this place into a residence for people because this place is a joke. Nasty attitudes, slow, under staffed and disrespectful. I can go on. Plus the line is getting even longer.

  • Genie May

I have lived in this neighborhood my whole life, the service here has to be on the list of worst things in city. How the the employees speak to customers The United States needs to take their name of the logo. This place is an embarrassment to all the hard working postal workers that Ea4n their money. While this branch free loads off their backs. Average wait time is 30-60 minutes. Smh

  • Jal Knoxville

They really have to hire people who are happy to have their jobs instead of bitter people who just choose to steal others mail and mark it as lost or “attempted” or give attitudes to the customers for using the postal service. It’s awful how these folks come to work and so many people do nothing. Working at the post office is a very chill job, if you’re not happy to be there, quit.

  • Alexandria Lee

I wish I could give zero stars. If you're going here budget an hour of time. The employees are rude and inefficient. I've called and complained to management a hundred times. They've told me that they know the issues, but can't do anything about it because bureaucracy dictates who they higher. I've been going here for years, and I've never had a good experience. It's just terrible.

  • Will Smith

If I could give this post office zero stars I would. I don't generally leave negative reviews, but this office has messed up at least 4 deliveries of important packages for me, totaling over $3000, with no notices and no actual attempt to deliver. No ringing the bell, nothing. Absolute trash and I will try not to have anything I care about delivered via USPS in this service area.

  • Reef Treats Catering

Worse service ever.. I went to drop off a package a few days ago .waiting in line , noone was in line .... no one in front of me . I had to wait until the cashier was finish texting , she took my package, threw it in a pile ... . You cant make this up . UPS please ,TREAT your staff better so they can treat the customers better... clearly they aint happy working there ...

  • Natalia Zamparini

I just don't understand why a place would have about 5 windows and only 1-2 employees working at a time. During 2020 pandemic, the lines were easily 1.5-2.5 hours! People on the line hated waiting and wanted to jam pack in to the waiting area, which has a 10-person max sign at the door, which is completely ignored. Of all the USPS I've been to, this is consistently the worst one.

  • John Roberts (Rambo)

If you live in this area, you basically don't have regular mail service, in 2018... I have my mail, packages, everything and anything delivered elsewhere..Work, Amazon lockers, these are all your friends. The worst is that because USPS is so bad Amazon lockers in the area are almost always full. I guess it's the only way people can conveniently and successfully get packages

  • Rump Roast

The long lines I can take, because I'm a patient person, but the unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect to the customers is inexcusable. As a result, I've been renting a mailbox from a local store, just so I dont have to deal with these people. I've tried going on the USPS site to lodge an official complaint, but the site is just as ridiculous as the people working there.

  • terrell williams

I’m here now and the time is 9:10 am and the window to service people is not open yet. The staff here is extremely slow moving and very rude. This type of customer service is only in the black community. I use the post office in ParkSlope all the time and never experience unpleasant tardy service. They don’t take credit cards only debt and cash. Please avoid this place.

  • Rukiya Sylvester

Clerk number 4 was disrespectful and rude. This is a service I pay for. I am also a federal worker. I asked for a cellophane envelope. She got an attitude that I asked her at all and then I asked for an envelope to conceal the money order and she said walk over to another area and get one. No class. I felt insulted. 5 months and things haven't changed.

  • Tia S

I wish I could of gave zero stars, this post office is the worse!!! They never answer the phone and I just hate USPS in general they are so unprofessional and unreliable. They put certain times the office is open for the phone nobody picks up they say my packages were delivered I received nothing , let me not get my items or reimbursed for my money.

  • Liza Grant

Dear customer service, or to the manager or to whomever works behind the counter. Liza is short for Elizabeth. It’s in the name. I’m surprised that my identification with my address on it isn’t enough to hand over a package I paid for. I know who I am and what my name is. These union postal service employees should go back and get some training.

  • Nance D

This post office has the most incompetent staff I've ever dealt with. My boyfriend has been waiting for a piece of mail for imperative delivery. He received it on February 23rd when the document was written for feb. 1st. (Being delivered to the same borough) In addition, the mail man dumped all the mail on top of the mail box. So inconsiderate!

  • Cassidy Choi

I had been waiting for a package to arrive that was in a weird status. The postal service worker could see how distressed I was, took my phone number down, and called me when they received the package. I really appreciated how kind everyone was. I know it’s a difficult job these days, so it gave me hope to be treated with such kindness.

  • sharonlee del valle

This place sux, they are constantly losing my packages I call they hang up The lines are ridiculously long and the staff is extremely rude. The carrier loses my packages on purpose bcuz I gave her her attitude back the only way I now get my packages if I order in a neighbor's name and use her apt number. They all need to be fired

  • Tasha Lee

This post office is the worst, this is the second time I had to come up here and deal with nasty workers because the person they have delivering packages lied and said they knocked on my door and nobody was home. They need to get rid off everybody and rehire, if this was a white neighborhood they wouldn’t be acting like this!

  • Serina A

I’m convinced they steal at this point because, my packages say delivered and it was never received, when I know someone is home. It’s a pandemic everyone is home. Also you go to the office and check for your packages when tracking say it’s at the post office and they say it’s not there. You can’t tel me they are not stealing

  • Matthew Kern

I’ve had some bad experiences here, but recently they’ve been making some improvements. The lines are generally very long, but I went in a week ago and a guy came out to collect slips for missed deliveries and came back shortly after with our packages. Today, the line moved quickly. Thanks for the improvements, team!

  • Tana Ellis

They are THE WORSE!!!! With mail delivery, mail pick up and customer service. They need an entirely new staff, supervisor....EVERYTHING!!!!!! I've actually CALLED THEM while i was on line to see if I would get someone to answer a call and they IGNORE the phones! ZERO STARS. we need the news to do an EXPOSE on them.

  • Naima McFarland

This Post Office should be shut down. I've been here three times to pick up a package. I've had to come back three times for the same package bc of the long lines. There are 5 teller booths with one person working and lines out the door, THREE MINUTES AFTER OPENING! I hate this place. What a miserable environment.

  • Kasanova Rodriguez

Worst place ever..one person working no manager no 6 feet rule in place everyone is on top of each other ,just made it to the window and I can here people laughing in the back like they in a party how is this going on all the time I come here. Need to call help me Howard chanel 11 news get them Howard .....lol

  • Patrick Oberst

Awful customer service. Rude employees. I see why these post offices are built like liquor stores, believe me its not to protect the register or merchandise either! This post office makes Hell's Gate in Harlem look like a Beverly Hills boutique. This is an insult to the good name of Shirley Chisholm smh.

  • HUMANHULK

Horrible service, very rude, it's like only 2 people are working the lines every time you go there, postal carrier states they leave a delivery notice when none was ever placed, they lie about were you package is because they don't want to look. Need to revamp this whole station and hire new people.

  • Eunice George

My neighbor just brought my sons financial aid application to me. Postage dated March 22, 2018. Guess what deadline was 8 days ago. Smh screw with people’s lives and don’t care. Constantly putting my mail in other mailboxes. I work hard for my kids a lil financial aid would have helped.

  • LIFE OF ALC

I went to the post office today after standing on line for a hour encounter a rude employee! Her name is JENNY as she informed me I’m writing the headquarters because for some reason the employees feel they can do and say whether with no consequences! WORST POST OFFICE IN NEW YORK

  • ebony marquez

Worst postal service !!! They leave notices and say “no secure location” to leave your package when I specifically ask for my packages to be be left at my front door and then when you reschedule for delivery they never even try to redeliver the package !! Horrible horrible !!!!

  • Lyn Stoner

Would love to rate 0 stars but unfortunately i cant. This is the worst post office ever!!! The workers are rude as hell...even the old ladies are rude. Packages end up missing & they have no consideration at all for their customers. This post office needs to be shut down ASAP.

  • Pauline Martinez

This place does not even deserve a star! The most horrible postal service is the nation! I have never once sent a package to this place without it being delayed or undelivered. It's impossible! In addition the customer service is deplorable!!! This place is a disgrace!!!

  • Ronnie Jai

They don't deserve no stars. The workers are lazy. They need to retire. If it was a white neighborhood they would treat the people different. I'm surprise it still open. They don't leave no notice don't even bother to come to a person door to leave a pacakge. …

  • Arel Cox

Stolen mail. They'll state that your package was signed by whoever's name is on it but never actually deliver your package. My 2yr old kid signed for his own mail? Dirty liars. Holiday season came around and all my packages went missing. Customer service is useless.
