Most of the reviews here are for TIRE SHOP. This review is for their REPAIR SHOP. So I drove into a puddle in Big Bear and got stuck in the recent snow storm. Engine stopped working. We had to tow it all the way to LA. My step dad recommended me this place, because it was "cheap". We left it and I told them exactly what to do (I did my research). I also told at lease twice to call me and keep me posted on the price. The day after this they did most of the work without calling me (I stopped by next day). In 2 days they called me saying is done. When I came they gave me $800 bill! So here is a breakdown of what they wrote: *Water damage diagnosis and removal of water - $315 - I'm ok with that. *Replaced spark plugs / tune up - $353 - WHAT?? I replaced my sparkplugs 3 weeks ago for $70. I ordered ORIGINAL parts for $39.46!!! *Oil change $140!!!!! - Where in the world you've seen prices like this??? They said that they used some "performance" oil - WHY??? They did not asked me about do I need "Special oil". Why would I need that?? I buy my Castrol oil with filter for $40 in Autozone! They said that their labor price is $105 per Hour! This is official dealership price for labor! THIS IS SCAM and LIE. Yes, my car works. The guy who was working did a good job - he probably gets like $20/hr which is sad. The workers are nice and they tried to help, but their boss probably set those prices and they could not do anything. They dropped the price to $700 which is still ridiculous. Another thing, which I still have to check is that when we where trying to get my car out from the towing dolly we had to charge the battery (otherwise I could not change the gear to neutral) and they accidentally connected their battery in reverse polarity. After that some of my lights stopped working and most important my center console computer does not turn on anymore (all of them were working before the shop). They accept only cash. Which is ridiculous as well. I'm sure IRS would be interested in this.

Do not ever think to come to this place. Stay a way of these thief and save your money. Go to another honest mechanic shop. I had a really bad experience with them. I brought my car to this shop for a cigarette lighter fuse change and the mechanic that works there did not know where the cigarette lighter fuse was located and he started to play with the fuse boxes and blow up my alternator and my battery. Non the mechanic or the shop owner wanted to take responsibility of buying the parts and fix my car up. I took my car to the Lexus dealer and they told me the estimation for fixing this issue about 1200$ to change alternator and new battery+ other electrical issues. I wish if could rate this place in negative.

Trying to overcharge due to vehicle brand , dishonest business practices. Just to patch a tire. Disgusting. I took my vehicle down the street, and they told me literally half the price... These guys charging the price it costs at a clean corporate tire shop, but the location is anything but clean and sanitized. Edit : the technician paused before he gave me a price as if he was just throwing one out there; so no I don't take your word for it You tried to upcharge due to the vehicle brand. Also you didn't even check what size wheel so now I know you're lying.

This is hands down the best shop in Los Angeles. Can not recommend them enough! I moved out here from Ohio and growing up my dad was a car guy so he always repaired my car and I was very skeptical of finding a good auto shop that was reliable and reasonably priced. I am SO thankful I found these guys!! Jonathan is great to work with and they tell you the prices and diagnosis before they do anything or charge you. They are open and honest about everything and provide warranty on their services. They are great.

United Auto is simply the best. After having a good friend that was a mechanic move from California, I didn’t know where to turn for car service. I was referred to United Auto and have not gone elsewhere since. They are honest, hard working, on time, knowledgeable and stick to their word which is rare these days. Trust United Auto they will take care of all your vehicle needs at a fair price. Thank you United Auto for always taking care of us!

I've been coming to get my car serviced for about 5 years now and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service and honest staff. It's hard to find mechanics you can trust these days. Jonathan and his team never let me down because they go above and beyond to provide exceptional service at an affordable rate. I am so grateful to have mechanics I can trust that don't take advantage of me as a single woman.

My car broke down in the late evening and this was the only place around that was open to take my car for service the next day. They let me leave it there overnight and the next morning they looked at it, and told me exactly what my friends & I already knew, no shady tricks. A reasonable price for what was done methinks, and they were prompt and friendly about it. Would recommend!

My car broke down while driving and it was near 6pm so many other mechanics/auto shops were closing. I called this place and they answered right away and said I could bring it by. They couldn't find anything wrong, but they were very thorough in their evaluation and really nice when I spoke to them on the phone. Highly recommend!

So guys if you need a good mechanic shop you must go to this place this is the story what I had and it was a very good I had an issue with my car I text to them like almost in the middle of the night they responded very fast that there are willing to help me. I appreciate that service. They're very good and customer service.

Had very bad experience!! Staring with the mechanic issue!! They never fix it!! And second the tires !! I payed for a four particular brand !! And they put a whole different brand !! That was no only wrong but they also have me down grade that was a cheaper brand!!! Which I did not ask for.!!! Never RECOMEND them ..!!

One of the staff helped us in our emergency and we offered to pay a few times, but he didn’t accept it! He said it was too easy to charge. We were so touched and appreciated with his generous and kindness heart! Highly recommend! Very genuine business!! …

Love these guys. Had a couple problems with my Subaru, they were super diligent in figuring out what was going on when it wasn't giving them a code. Then on top of that without asking they fixed a speaker issue i was having. The best in town.

Just got done ~$3,000 worth of engine & suspension work and appreciated the communication, professionalism, and service throughout the process. Will def recommend & return as one of the easiest/best exp.

The owner of the shop is very unprofessional He tried to take advantage of me because I'm coming at night...he wanted to charge me extra... be careful! I will never come to this place again

I was having trouble filling up air in one of my tires and the mechanic got it to fill up right away and didn't charge me. Will definitely go here again for future tire work!
