This place has been here for a pretty long time. Drinks and foods are not expensive and fairly priced (LKR900 for a beer pitcher). Taste of the foods are also at a better level. Staff is not that friendly in the crowded evenings but they do their job. Union bar has a rooftop and it gets open in the evening. The rooftop is closed in the daytime. Even though it is closed, you can still carry your drinks by your self to the rooftop. You can find some shade even in a super sunny day. This place is quite popular among the office crowd in the union place area and can recommend to someone who is looking for a place to get relaxed and have a loud chat with their friends without any hesitations.
