Excellent experience and incredible value! Having recently moved into the area, I have had to find a hairdresser that could cater for male medium curly hair. Step in Charlie and the staff at Ungaro! I was immediately greeted by friendly staff who took ensured appropriate COVID precautions (temperature check and keeping my belongings separate) and offered a drink. Most important of all Charlie took the time to listen to my request and as a result was able to remove a significant weight of my hair without losing its length. He was able to section of areas of hair, as I have experienced in top end salons, to ensure an even cut for curly hair. Having tried two previous hairdressers in the area and them having little confidence in cutting curly hair I'm very grateful to have found success. Finally at £10 I have found Charlie and Ungaro great value, professional and offering an expert cut.

I came in this time last year and Tash cut my long, bum-length hair to my waist with thick feathers and long layers EXACTLY like I wanted and I was in love! However, as time past the style outgrew me and I felt as if the ends of my hair looked thin due to the layers (which is normal but it was hard for me to style myself). So, I went back in nearly a year later and met with Jenny who I spoke with about these concerns, she was just as amazing and attentive. she explained everything to me and cut my hair with such attention to detail. I came with a friend and after she saw what I saw she had to book a consultation to get her own hair done too. I highly recommend getting cuts done here or seeking advice.

Excellent service and nice cut by Charlie, my only criticism would be the drying experience - Trying to dry curls quickly by moving it around while diffusing breaks up curls rather than allowing time for them to form naturally, resulting in frizz and needing additional product. I would recommend the salon invest in a portable helmet diffusing station, which would allow hair to dry quickly without disturbing the curl forming process and gives the stylist time to work on other things. Overall a great cut and excellent value for other styles but, unless the drying technique for long curly hair is changed, I probably won't return.

Thank you Tash at Ungaro for doing such an amazing job of styling mine and my daughter's hair for my wedding. My curls and my daughter's updo stayed in place all day and looked great. I really appreciated your guidance in choosing what would work for our different hair types and accessories. You were spot on. Loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the salon. I shall definitely be calling on you again next year when I shall be mother of the bride! For anyone looking for a bridal hair stylist, I would thoroughly recommend Tash at Ungaro.

What a wonderful place that is! I had my haircut with Jenny and I was absolutely delighted with the result. She is just brilliant. It was my first time in the salon, I saw all the good reviews and decided to give it a go. There was another lady having her hair done by the other stylist (Tasha, I think) and the lady was so thrilled with her hair too. What I am saying is, book without hesitation, it's well worth it and extremely reasonably priced for the amazing service they offer! Highly recommend.

Charlie was super friendly and professional and made me feel very comfortable in the chair which is something a lot of barbers struggle with. He also styled my hair exactly how I wanted it which no other barber Leicester seemed able to do. This is the happiest I’ve been with a haircut in over a year so I would highly recommend. The girl who washed my hair before the trim was also very lovely and added to a great hairdressing experience. 10/10 would go again :)

I had the most pleasant experience today at this salon. The hair stylist was very professional and talked me through the steps of colouring my hair. The end result was perfect and I was so pleased with it. I was very worried that my Afro hair would not take to the dye but the stylist Ash reassured me throughout the process and it was an amazing result. Thanks for having me. A definite recommendation.

A very friendly and cozy environment. My hairdresser is Ashley and they have always been lovely. Even though I am not good at explaining what I want, they somehow always understand and deliver. You can notice how much detailed their work is. I recently went through a transformation from long hair to short hair and Ashley did an amazing job!!! Everyone who sees my haircut compliments it.

My wife and I had an appointment with Tasha and both of us came away absolutely delighted with our hair cuts. We were treated fantastically by all of them and our safety and comfort was paramount to them which in these times we were truly thankful for. This is one of the best hair salons in Leicester if not the best as it is a hidden gem and we would like to thank Jenny and Charlie as well.

Im alittle late to write this review but I stumbled upon the salon just walking through town , I saw Charlie and he was amazing so welcoming and friendly made me feel very comfortable and his service was excellent too I will not be going anywhere else from now on. What a great place! Ashley did a balayage on my hair, had great expertise, attention to detail and his passion was evident. He went above and beyond to create what I showed him. Tash had cut my hair previously and couldnt fault it. Manager Jenny was attentive to my needs and welcoming. I would really recommend this place, they know what they are doing and are a friendly bunch.

Got a phonecall from the stylist who did my hair. Made me feel guilty for writing such a review. So I have now amended this. P.s the fact that she read my other reviews (I'm not the only one who uses this acc) to counter what I wrote beforehand and cutting me off midway of talking is so disrespectful. Very reasonably priced hair cut and colour, clean salon and professional hairdressers here. Both times I went here my appointment was delayed by over an hour but none of the staff called to inform me. So I had to walk around the city centre till then. I wish the hair wash can be a little more comfortable and relaxing though.

My mum and I popped in here today see if they could fit us both in for a haircut. Luckily we managed to get an appointment with Charlie, it was our first time coming here and Charlie cut both our hairs and wow were both so happy with it! We will definitely be back first class service! And Charlie is lovely :)

In my opinion this is the best hairdressers in Leicester. A really great atmosphere, hair advice, great music and prices. I have been going to see the gang for over 10 years and would not go anywhere else!
