This is my second time visiting this location and I must say I am more disappointed than I was the first time! The food was alright the first time I went so I thought I would give them another try. but the most recent time this past Sunday was HORRIBLE! I got charged $45 for 2 meals of quesadilla and a breakfast burrito. The amount of sides they gave me was as if it was for a 3 year old child. The food looked messy and not cared for at all. There was no flavor whatsoever , barely melted cheese, all the worse you can imagine. When I went into the store to pay, it was a busy day (as any breakfast place would be on a Sunday) but this does not give them a reason to deliver such horrible food. Did I mention that my steak was not cooked all the way On top of all of this, I have been trying to speak to the manager for the past 4 days to see what he/she can do for me. At this point, I just want my money back and will NEVER return again. Its as if they want to ignore the feedback of their customers. extremely disappointed in this café and do not recommend to others!

This place is such a gem. My husband, who has celiac disease (gluten allergy), and I have come here for breakfast/brunch a few times. Everything is delicious and fresh. The breakfast burrito with roasted potatoes is great and can be modified to be vegetarian. And we LOVE the quinoa banana pancake! They also have green iced tea. Yum! The patio is in the shade all day and is cool even in the summer when it’s hot because they have powerful mister fans (see photo). So if you want to be able to eat outdoors in the summer this is your place!! The menu is pretty large, lots of options, and servers are always nice, friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Christiane for always taking great care of us! Overall a solid local restaurant (they have a location in Chandler too). I just realized they are open for dinner too! The dinner menu looks good. Excited to check it out.

Our waitress could have been nicer. She was a little rude answering our questions about the menu. The menu is alright but there’s better options in Scottsdale. I felt a little limited. My husband really wanted to try their truffle fries but they’re not on the brunch menu only happy hour. I got the spring rolls and they were mostly cabbage stuffed in a wrapper. I might have gotten a couple pieces of pineapple. My friend got their “edible glitter” margarita but it was just basic. Overall I wasn’t thrilled with the food and the server had an attitude so I don’t know if I’d come back. It was just ok. I’ve been to other great places for brunch in Scottsdale that offer better service and food selection. They do have a good location right across from the mall if you walk across the street afterward for some shopping.

What a wonderful surprise. Small place tucked away in a strip of other stores. Our waitresses were very nice. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We had scrambled eggs and pancakes and waffles. Yummy. The French toast was pecan French toast and you could taste the pecan throughout. The coffee is also amazing. They made an iced decaf caramel latte that put other coffee shops to shame. Very pleasant people who treated the customers so well. We were just visiting the area and managed to go for breakfast twice but would definitely frequent often if we lived there. Such a gem. Thank you for your attention to detail and for the lovely treatment.

The food here is fantastic. I had eggs benedict. It came with what can only be called sweet potato tatertots. They were both very good. The eggs benedict came with avocado which I didn't think was necessary but that's a thing people are very into currently. My spouse had French toast, potatoes and bacon. He said it was all good, no complaints foodwise. We also had mimosas. Their orange juice is probably the worst I've ever had. It was very chemically and just bad. The staff... oh, the staff. Well, don't come here if you are in any kind of a rush or want pleasantries. One person stood up to ask for their bill and the waitress literally sighed and said "what do want now?" I understand standing up to get attention is a bit much, but it took more than 15 minutes to get our bill after we piled our dishes up and shoved them to the end of the table. TLDR: Great food, horrible OJ, unpleasant staff

I am so glad we found this restaurant. It's still one of my faves for breakfast or lunch. So many things on the menu, and I've never had something that wasn't amazing. I actually think about the ahi tuna sandwich and how good it is. (Make sure they don't over cook it though) it's happened a couple times that they cook it all the way through... Doesn't taste the same then. After dining here for years now it's still our favorite all around restaurant in Phoenix. Staff is great and food is amazing.

We arrived for a late lunch at 2:30 pm. Only three tables had guests. We ordered salads which took 35 minutes to get to us. I asked for goat cheese to substitute for the blue cheese served in my steak salad. My salad was served with the blue cheese. By the time my salad was sent back to me the steak was cold and the goat cheese substitute was microscopic. The salad had no taste. There were no greens but instead yellow romaine. Dry, hard to chew and swallow. Then to add further insult, we were overcharged. The server referred me to the owner who looked at my receipt and said I was up-charged for the microscopic serving of cheese. No up charge was ever mentioned and the amount of cheese was a dusting. My decision is to never go back again. The owner is a dope.

I’m going to be very honest here: I’m almost apprehensive to tell everyone about one of my favorite places, because I enjoy being able to come here and not have to wait for more than five minutes for a table. But I’m gonna do it anyways because this place is awesome. If you were looking for a place with great atmosphere, amazing drinks, the best variety of menu items, and amazing service… Then I would highly recommend checking out Tryst.

Healthy, organic food beautifully plated and tastes as good as it looks! Every time I have been here I am never disappointed. I always forget to take a picture of my food because I end up eating it too fast. The avocado toast is a staple but the beet salad and the breakfast burrito are fantastic. Not to mention their unique and fresh cocktail menu and beer/wine selection. Today I tried the CBD Nitro cold brew coffee and it was INTENSE. Poured into a 16 oz glass this beverage delivers a burst of caffeine that was honestly a little too much for me. However the flavorful smoothness was undeniably satisfying. I will consistently come back to this location!

We are obsessed with this cafe! We’re visiting for a business trip and have dined here for breakfast and lunch. We can’t get enough, . They have an outdoor seating area, along with some indoor seating. The food is fresh, flavorful, delicious, and I wish they would open one in NC!

At first glance the restaurant looks cute and inviting however that feeling does not last. Service was slow, it took 30 minutes for our order to be taken by a different waitress because ours possibly forgot about us. Then another 35 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. When our food finally arrived it was such a disappointment. The eggs Benedict were not poached they were fried eggs over medium. The pancakes were undercooked and the toast was terrible. The only edible item on our table were the sweet potato tots, those were very good. Overall this was a disappointing breakfast experience.

We were nearby for a doctor's appointment and stopped in here for breakfast. My husband and I really enjoyed their food. I got the Hawaiian breakfast and he got the Monte Cristo. My meal was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed it! My husband's meal was messy and he wished the strawberry jam had come on the side, but aside from that he was quite happy with his food. Service was a little slow, and we had to ask for the check, but all in all, she was very sweet and it was nothing to be bothered about. We will definitely be going back!

We go to Tryst about once a month, and have done so for years. The food is always fresh, and they have loads of healthier options, which is nice. One of the main reasons we have been coming back for years is the service is almost always fabulous as well. We always hope to have Rachael C. as our server, because she is attentive, kind, and remembers my spouse and I every time we come in. She remembers not just us as people, but our favorite orders and peculiarities of our orders as well. IN short, we highly recommend Tryst and Rachael as a restaurant, and as one of our very favorite serves anywhere!

They got us a table quickly and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I'm not a sweet potato fan but their sweet potato tater tots are delicious. I ordered Monte Cristo served with sweet potato tater tots and I would definitely order it again. My dad ordered veggie omelette their organic coffee. He loved it and especially their coffee. S L O W. Food was pretty good. The servers were friendly and nice. It just was slooooow. We were seated immediately, it wasn't overly crowded but wasn't empty. Two burgers, a croissant egg sandwich and a Marco Polo sandwich we were waiting for at least an hour and 15 minutes. I asked the person who took our check if it is typically that slow for the food to come out and she said a lot of times yes and then I think she realized what she said because she tried to blame the long wait on the cooks making sure one of the burgers were well done.

This was the 3rd time we ate here. First time was great. Second yime was ok. This time was the last time. There were cobwebs on the post next to our table. The server was cordial but not very fast or attentive. She took awhile to take our order, took longer to deliver our food and never came back to see if everything was alright. The potatoes tasted like they were cooked in bad grease. They also gave him 2 pieces of mismatched over cooked bread that was supposed to be an English Muffin. On the bright side... The hostess was very friendly and helpful. She should get tips and a raise. Thank you

Came with a large group and they seated us at 2 separate tables across the restaurant. They forgot about 2 of our parties’ drinks, messed up one of the food orders, and completely forgot another food order. We waited for an hour to get the final food order while we saw other tables getting their food (who sat down after us). The food we did get was just not good. They then gave us a $10 coupon to appease us. We understand it was a bit busy but there were just too many mistakes.

The menu has many gluten free, vegetarian or vegan choices. We ate brunch with corn beef hash and I tried avocado toast with an over medium egg. Enjoyed lunch at Tryst Cafe home of the "Best Seared Ahi Tuna salad" anywhere. They specialize in fresh organic and natural ingredients with a Hawaiian flair. It's a modern Cafe with stainless steel tables and a small patio. The Seared Ahi was full of flavor dusted cajun spices with Wasabi aioli , pepper and grilled portobello mushrooms on a bed of organic fields greens a lime vinaigrette and served with wonton crisps . We ate every bit and when in the are we we will be sure to stop in again.

I absolutely love this place and eat here often. But I do wish they had nutritional information, my boyfriend has diabetes so it’s rough eating at places with no nutrition info :( Edit** I used to love this place but the food is so inconsistent it’s not worth it. They either completely leave things out, or the portion size is completely off. Or the food is just plain not good. It’s not worth the money and it sucks because I live right next door but I’m so done with Tryst.

I ate at Tryst today and was impressed for a first-time visit. They have a great selection of healthy foods with some dishes sound so good, I'll definitely be back. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is one that inspires loyalty with options to dine in or on the porch as well as take-out. I had the Southwest Chicken Salad. If I continue to be impressed, I'll come back and change this to a five stars and it may just become one of my local favorites!

Been a couple years since I've been here but still love it. Happy to see they are still there and have made it through the pandemic challenges so far. Still friendly staff and plenty of health conscious offerings on the menu though obviously choices have changed over the years. One constant that is still offered are the sweet potato tots :). Love them. Give the Kalhua pork sandwich a try or any of their generously portioned salads. Hope to be back soon!

  • Kathleen Jackson

This is a great little neighborhood restaurant and the best part, most items are organic and hormone free. The sweet potato tots are to die for. It's hard to find a place we all like and everything we've tried so far on their menu has been excellent. The trio hummus appetizer, seared ahi tuna salad, and burgers are our favorites so far. You'll need to get their early as seating is limited inside and it's a bit warm for the patio right now.

  • Laurel Jordan-Data

I visited Tryst in Chandler for breakfast with a friend. I was very disappointed in the service, the lack of attention and the mistakes on my order. However, the food was delicious and very fresh! I called and talked to the owner, who was very open to feedback and wants to make sure her customers are happy. She was very kind, is always working to improve her customers' experiences and made it right. Will for sure recommend and revisit!

  • madison hill

Usually love this place... But it makes it really hard to support local when you can't even get mediocre service. $15 for cold food, frozen butter, and then be asked "Are you sure it was literally just made, and the plates are still warm." Yes I'm sure frozen butter will not melt on cold food. And I'm also sure I won't pay for attitude nor eat cold food. Really disappointed in your new staff. And can't say I'll be back any time soon.

This place is AMAZING. It’s tucked in the corner across from Desert Ridge. I come here with my boyfriend who is vegan and we get the BEST service everytime with the most delicious food always. Our favorite is the buffalo cauliflower appetizer and I myself like the breakfast quesadilla. Their orange juice is always so fresh and is the perfect thing to add to a little champagne for mimosa’s. Definitely recommend visiting!

  • Kyle Gandy

Place always makes a consistent, healthy, and filling meal. I always try to come in there when I am in town. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Staffing is minimal and setting is intimate. Often can be very busy and parking can be tough. Service is a little slower, however food never comes out incorrect and comes out hot. I found this little nugget of a cafe a handful of years ago and will continue to come back!

  • Jerry Ilchena

Found this out of the way place, excellent healthy and organic breakfast dishes (also open for dinner). I had an omelet with roasted tomatoes, kale and cheese: it was absolutely delicious, their cappuccinos are the best in the valley-perfectly prepared. The service was exceptional (Nathalie) keep up the great work, you have a great personality. Thanks. The best surprise was the price, it was very reasonable.

  • Lisa Taylor

We dined here for lunch on a Saturday. My $13 turkey burger tasted like it consisted of a microwaved frozen turkey patty. It was bland and didn't appear to have been grilled. My salad greens were warm, wilted, and mostly rotten. It was not edible. My companion ordered the BLT wrap, which looked nice but consisted mostly of lettuce and tomato. Very little bacon. The fries were ok. We will not be returning.

  • Donna Fedor

I love eating at Tryst. The food is always delicious. Fresh and healthy. And pretty! I had the smoked salmon toast with cucumbers capers and avocado. Totally yum!! Fast service. Food was bad, but not bad because they can't cook but bad because they lied about the ingredients, I order Ahi tuna melt, I was hoping to get something fresh, the tuna was stale, plus in the menu it says "dill sauce" but they just put mayo instead. Decided to take away. Not crowded. Basic menu. I ordered Nachos. Asked if they could be packed for take away. Also ordered Ahi Tuna salad. All were packed in plastic containers. Nachos were full of melted cheese. Way too much cheese. Not many chips. Salad was good. Dressing on the side. Tuna was good but tasteless. Could of had more. Dh liked his Ruben Polite server. Doubt we will return.

I had Sunday brunch at Tryst Cafe and ordered the Breakfast Croissant sandwich. It was good but nothing special. I really liked the ambiance - contemporary and casual. I think it is a hidden gem because while it is right across from the Desert Ridge shopping complex, there was no wait. I would come back again to try other menu items.

By far one of my top breakfast locations. They accommodate gluten free the food tastes amazing and frankly over the past 5+ years I have never had a bad meal. Today we had the pecan crusted french toast with meat lovers omelet it was delish! Cute little patio that is dog friendly too! Rachael waited on us today and she was great!

Everything was good. Food great, atmosphere great. Service was okay. There was a black lady and a older woman that was friendly other than that, no other employee said anything to us. We stayed and talked for a little bit and the other employees were kept giving us dirty looks because we paid and hadn’t left. Overall it was good.

Meh. Thats about all I can muster for this place. The outdoor eating area was pretty gross. Its Phoenix so I get that dirt gets everyone but the fan had long strands just blowing away on diners. Obviously no attempt made there which would be in keeping with the level of effort exerted by our waitress: none whatsoever. All in all a disappointment with no redeeming reason to return.

  • Carla Parker

This place is awesome!! I've been here for breakfast and lunch a handful of times and everything i have eaten was great. I brought by husband today, he had the Ahu Tuna sandwich and I had the buffalo chicken wrap. Both were great!! Our waitress Bri was amazing and very attentive And proceeds from the beer we had goes to kids with cancer ( joy bus)! We will definitely come again!!

  • Jonas Balili (Jonas Balili)

The food was delicious, filling, and well made. Rachael, answered all our questions about the menu and helped us make a great choice in Steak & Eggs + the quinoa pancake. Loved the entire experience! The place was quiet with calm music.

Food is ok, but portions are on smaller side, prices a little on the higher side. For a larger party, service was slow and some people finished eating before others even got food. Nice food selection, but don't recommend for a large group.

Chose this place because it was close to the MIM and on Aadvantage dining. We were so glad that we did! Unique to us, food, and atmosphere were awesome. Had a server switch early on so we spent more time than we anticipated but really no big deal. If I come across another Tryst Cafe we will definitely hit it.

to be honest i’ve had better places. i walked in and there was no hostess the lady from the bar said she’d be right with me and took 10 minutes. got drinks with no straws. ordered the bison burger medium and it was well done. looked better than it taste. i am from out of town and was really hungry so i hate a disappointing meal.

Tryst had delicious food, we dined for brunch, and the bottomless mimosas were excellent. And truly bottomless. It was a big group, and everyone was overly satisfied with their choices. From pancakes to chicken, and gluten free - every thing was great.

I serious can say that this place is awesome! The food is amazing and is different from alot of places around it. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. As well as the employees are very helpful and made the experience very nice. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking of trying it out, you won't be sorry!!! 5 stars!!!

  • Matthew O.

Good food and reasonable prices. Pretty fast for only having what seemed like one server when we were there. The tacos and burger were very good but the hummus was my favorite. The three different kinds were all very tasty and I like the thinner style pita bread and cucumbers that it comes with. I would definitely come back.

Service is always friendly and helpful. My friend and I meet here every couple of months because we both like it so much.

The servers were all extremely nice and very accommodating. The food (I had the Tryst Omelette) was good but not great. Mozzarella cheese was the first item listed in ingredients but I hardly had any in my omelette. The roasted tomatoes were tasty but too many. The coffee was very good!

  • rick carter

Tryst is a great restaurant, cafe and bar! Chef Cortez was very friendly and proud of the food and restaurant. I had the incredibly moist and tender ahi tuna sandwich. The bartenders were friendly and quick. The new Tryst Cafe in Chandler is opening soon and I can't wait to try it out.

  • Christa R

This place seems pretty popular. The service was great. I don't recommend the poke bowl. The sauce is bitter and doesn't go well with the dish. Also, there is a ton of cabbage/ coleslaw that is unnecessary. The roast beef sandwich was on nice bread, but the meat was overcooked and dry.

  • Gayle Gadus

Tryst continues to offer a sophisticated menu of delectable variations on salads, sandwiches, and entré options as well as unique takes on drinks and beverages. Coupled with attentive service and a delightful patio they are a reliably quality ensured café for entertaining friends.

  • Jackie Ramirez Knutson

Our Server Rachel made our experience top notch along with the delicious food we had. She went above and beyond especially when it came to educating us on a Vodka we hadn't tried yet. She certainly takes pride in delivering service and taught us something new!! Thank you Rachel!!

I think this would be a good place to eat. We just got the wrong waitress. After 45 minutes, our food arrived warm. Coffee arrived quickly but was warm also. No checking back to see if we wanted to order more. We received very poor service along with a bad attitude.
