Eric and Cole arrived on time everyday and worked tirelessly until they got the the job done. They performed numerous tasks in our new 1400 sq/ft addition including wiring the basement. They also replaced a very old electrical panel in our 170 yr old home. Eric said that it wasn’t the worst panel he had seen but I think he was just being kind. It was in very rough shape but Eric did not shy away from this challenge. When he was finished, our new panel was a work of art. They also installed a new panel in the new addition and connected the new two panels together. Nick was the most responsive and communicative tradesperson (of all kinds) I have dealt with since buying by home in 2014. We needed to upgrade to 200Amp service to install an electric vehicle charger. Hydro informed us we would also need our exterior overhead mast and meter box replaced due to existing damage. Nick gave us a very fair price on the job. He completely honoured his quote - it only increased by a very small amount because we made a slight modification to the original scope of work (and he was completely transparent about this increase when we discussed changing the scope). He completed all the work (panel and mast replacement, running new 60A cable to garage and installing the plug for our charger), along with his apprentice Amelia. They were on time, very neat and respectful around our home. I could not recommend Nick and Gorilla Voltage more highly.

Nicholas was super accommodating. I booked the light fixture installation under 24 hours notice. Nicholas took the time to go to the store for me before arriving, because I didn't have the bulbs required for my new light fixture (3 bulb pendant/champagne lights), he also went above and beyond by also grabbing me some pot lights and hood range bulbs, which he also installed for me. Nicholas was very friendly, punctual, put care and a can do attitude into the work he did for me. Nicholas also straightened my slanted mantle, I mentioned it without asking him to fix it, and he offered right away. Nicholas also removed a TV mount bracket for me. Nick facilitated and oversaw the installation of my Generlink transfer switch onto my house hydro meter for my backup generator. He also educated me and counselled me to not buy what was only available on Amazon at the time in the whole region, because it did not conform to Ontario provincial required specifications. Had I gotten it and contacted Ottawa Hydro for installation, I would have paid $400 to them only to be told I couldn't use it. Nick went to bat for me, searching for a Generlink for me and found one someone was removing to upgrade, but then found one locally that had been ordered but cancelled. I really appreciated Nick's knowledge and diligence as well as him also communicating frequently, keeping me me in the loop. I highly recommend Gorilla Voltage.

Nick came to install a lighting box for our family room as there wasn't one in place when the house was built. Nick was very upfront with us beforehand with what would be involved (possible trenching in the ceiling), and even when he arrived he again told us what was involved - he really wanted to ensure that we wouldn't be surprised with what was needed. During the install, he accidentally discovered something that wasn't done to code by the original home builders, and had to do extra work to fix their mistake - yet he didn't add this cost to his final invoice. Nick was very thorough, professional, and even cleaned up his mess with his own portable vacuum cleaner. I highly recommend Nick and his company for any electrical work!

The Guys are AMAZING. I contacted them when I moved into my new house. The Nick was so fast to respond. I need a new breaker box as the one that came with the house was the old fuses. There was also no hook up for my electric dryer and no plug for my washer. In the end we upgraded from 100amp for 200amp, getting a dryer line and washer line. They were so prompt and professional. Hydro Ottawa had a back log so it took a month and a half to get the work done but Nick knew I needed my dryer if nothing else and came out right away and did that line for me so I could at least get laundry done. I will for sure be contacting them again when I am ready to do the outdoor plugs. I would highly recommend

We reached out to Nick at Gorilla Voltage because we needed an electrician to install an additional outlet for a stair lift installation. We were on a tight timeline with less than a week before the installation. Nick was able to fit us in first thing at 8am, the same day the lift was to be installed. Gorilla Voltage responded quickly to my call for a quote. When we discussed what was needed, Nick made some useful suggestions which I followed. This was a complete kitchen redo and Gorilla Voltage was responsible for the Hydro. That meant Gorilla Voltage couldn't do all of the work at once. I'm very happy with the results and look forward to the countertop and plumbing getting completed so that I can enjoy the finished product. There have been delays... but none of them from Gorilla Voltage. I wish everyone was so prompt.

After getting 3 detailed quotes I decided to go with Gorilla Voltage for some electrical work that included adding a new electrical panel in my garage for a future EV charger and heater, as well as new LED potlights (where there was no wiring in the ceiling). Update: Our house, built in 1946 and recently purchased, required complete modernization. The work entailed the installation of a manual transfer switch and L14-30 plug for an outdoor generator. Gorilla Voltage proved to be prompt and courteous and did the job well. There was one problem which was promptly resolved. It should be noted that the problem was because we didn't communicate our needs clearly enough. Contractor came back promptly and without any hassle (or extra costs) to do the quick change and everything works well! A plus was the easy to pay online invoices and estimates and very prompt communication.

They installed an EV level 2 charger in my garage for my Tesla. The process of getting quote and booking an install date was super smooth. They arrived in time and finished ahead of schedule. I can see the job was clearly done by a professional. I highly recommend this business. Update: Recently they installed 5.2kW of solar on my roof and now I'm saving a bunch of cash every month! The system works so well, I feed back to the grid what I don't use and I can monitor my production and stats for each panel.

Two guys from Gorilla Voltage showed up promptly on time did a quick assessment and said they would be back in 20min with everything required to do the job. They came back within 20 min and completed the job in an hour or so with no telltale mess at all. It was like no one had even been there. EV charger was working like a charm. If only all my experiences with contractors were this easy I would still probably have hair on my head.

Called Nick on Monday for a new micro-hood circuit. He scheduled us for Wednesday through google. Communicated his arrival, kept us updated. He was here on Wednesday, when he said he will come.
